Grand Rapids Allergy: what do users think?
Travis Shivley: Very pleased with my treatment. Staff helps explain my allergies and is very knowledgeable. Process is very smooth.
Bonnie Guigar: The staff is simply amazing! Very thorough throughout the entire process. Everyone took the time to explain any questions I had... even those I didn't have. I left feeling very confident about my next steps. Definitely recommend GRA!And, I didn't even mind going in after they got back from lunch. After all, it's not about them scheduling around me, it's about me scheduling around them and working with their hours!
Karen Joseph: I’ve been taking my sons here for many years and I just love this office. The physicians, the direct care staff and the office staff have all been excellent. They’re attentive, caring, knowledgeable and professional. Just what you want when you’re dealing with environmental allergies and food allergies! I highly recommend.
John Scott: Closing down for an hour at lunchtime is insane. Who’s pay for the services again?? I’m a nurse and none of us can ALL take a lunch at the same time. Really hard to get my shots in when I work Monday through Thursday 8-6:30. There are other allergy offices out there. Find one that doesn’t let the entire staff go to lunch all at the same time. Ridiculous.
Dale Dekorte: The business closing down for 1 hour for lunch is super inconvenient. Heaven forbid you want to get shots on your lunch break because you cant. Find an allergist with better hours.
Shannon Todd: Very disappointed with new hours and closed during lunch. Makes it nearly impossible to get shots regularly. We have to line up like cows outside to wait for the door to open. Plus trying to juggle kids appts and my own with limited time off Mon-Thursday, and now not being able to use my lunch hour is inconvenient. They also mark in your chart if you leave early by 3 minutes. Felt like a Seinfeld episode. This isn’t safety, It’s bull headed management. After 16 yr. at this practice, I’m changing physicians over poor management.
Sarah Bukvic: Great office, had a recent visit for my son and they spent a lot of face to face time reviewing my concerns and plan of care. Dr Uekert was very present during the visit and never seemed in a hurry to leave the room. Very happy with this office over the last 2 years:)
Jojo R: All personnel were friendly & helpful. I can't say anything negative, the experience was positive & helpful. I would recommend anyone to Grand Rapids Allergy.
Nancy Taylor: The entire staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. The practice feels patient centered.
Luke Kamp: Detailed, knowledgeable and friendly. I appreciated the concern for my health, as well as the amount and depth of information shared with me.
Lynda Zika: Sara was awesome. Took time with me and really helped with many issues regarding my allergies and gave me peace of mind.
Bob Taylor: Love GR Allergy! They care...professional and friendly
William Brunner: Convenient, fast and friendly.
Chandra Randall: The staff was caring and attentive. They answered all of our questions and helped make a decision towards what to do next.
Kate Langmeyer: Dr. Schafer took a significant amount of time to get to know me and what I felt was wrong. The nursing staff is very kind and gentle, and talked me through the whole process. I would highly recommend Grand Rapids Allergy to anyone with any concerns at all, as they explained every treatment option to me, including everything from avoidance to immunotherapy in order to make sure I had all of the information I needed to make an informed decision about my own treatment.
karla jeltema: What an amazing group of upbeat, positive professionals. Everyone is just awesome and so qualified in what they are doing.
James Schuitema: Efficient, knowledgeable and caring
Janet Kliefoth: Suggestion! Surround sound music in the patient rooms? I was there for 3 hours. No music or magazine to flip thru. Staff and Doctor were great. Just got a little bored.
Clint Galloway: If you're looking for a health provider that not only professionally addresses your symptoms with current best practices but also values the personal relationship that engages the individual seeking care, then you need look no further than Grand Rapids Allergy!
Amanda Gondick: They We’re extremely kind and patient! They answered all our questions with a smile and made the cluster shots process very streamlined and easy to follow.
Kristi Porter: Allergy injections have improved my life significantly. My immune system has never been stronger and my exercise induced asthma is completely under control.

Dr. Karyn E. Gell, MD: what do users think?
Meagan Padgett: I've been seeing Dr. Gell for over 10 years.
Kathryn Wernstrom: We were patients of her father Leionard for years, she is nothing like him, warning, don't do it!!
Marie Koetje: I wish to post my experience with all due respect to this allergist business. I have been a patient for 20 years and have never had a bad experience. I heartily recommend them. This past year, 2015, I had my first bummer experience concerning their billing procedure. My primary physician is an HMO which I love. I was referred to Dr. Gell back in about 1997. My allergies are yearlong issues because it is the indoors I am allergic to (dust, mites, dogs and cats). My doctor calls in for the renewal of my serum which is made and shipped to my doctor office where I receive my shots. I am not the middle-man in this process. My insurance pays for half of the serum cost ($85.00). In May 2015, the doctor called in a renewal but it was construed as 'unauthorized'. This made me responsible for the whole cost. I called both places immediately to try to clear up this issue. The go-to person at my doctor's office was on it immediately.I still continued to receive bills from the allergy office. The bills began to say that I should pay in order to prevent collection. I didn't want it to go to collection so in a good-faith gesture on my part, I called the allergist billing department and made my half of the payment in October. They sent me a receipt. I thought it was over. I continued to receive billing statements. In December 2015, I used all of my serum and the doctor called in for more...the request was rejected because of outstanding balance. THIS IS WHERE MY BUMMER EXPERIENCE REALLY BEGAN.This billing department knew full well that the issue of nonpayment did not rest with myself. They refused me my serum. It is crucial I have my shots more often during cold months where doors and windows are kept closed. I spent an overniter at one of my daughter's on Christmas eve and Christmas day. She has cats and long hair dogs. Even tho she cleaned and made a valiant effort to help me out, I became ill with a severe allergy attack that lasted until 1-20-2016. I lost some work days and I was very sick. I went to my doctor around first week of January and they confirmed it was allergies...they can tell the difference but I won't go into that here. I feel that I was thrown under a bus. I didn't need this extra headache with my health. Usually I receive a new shot before visiting where there are longhair pets and this was denied me in December.I am not a sue-happy person. I am moving on. However, I have removed myself from this allergist's care because of this. My HMO now has an allergist on staff and this issue will not be repeated.Just sayin....

Spectrum Health Medical Group Allergy & Immunology: what do users think?
Alexandria Dipiazza: I couldn't say enough great thing about my experience. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Checking in was easy and fast and I didn't feel rushed at all. Dr. Mohamed was extremely thorough and made everything easy to understand. He even kept the coast of everything in mind when prescribing me my medication. I would suggest this location to anyone!
Samantha Kanisky: Went with my sister to see PA Jeffrey Stout because The Doctor had no openings. He came in the room and was in quite the hurry. He asked her what her issue was that brought her into the office. As she was explaining what was going on he seemed to be pre occupied on his phone and computer. When he spoke he was very rude and condescending. Making it seem like there was nothing wrong with her and she is just looking to far into her issues, when in-fact the Dr has bloodwork and X-rays showing she has arthritis and other issues related to that.My sister left the office that day with no answers, no recommendations or relief of her issues and insulted by the way she was spoken to and treated. He definitely needs to have some extra training on how to listen and acknowledge the concerns patients are having and explaining to him. He also should have a little compassion for people who are suffering with autoimmune diseases and looking for answers and some sort of relief. I do not recommend seeing him,I would strictly see the Doctor or go to another practice. You will get no where with Jeffrey Stout. My sister left that office not only with the no help or advice for her issue but insulted and upset about how she was treated. It was a wasted office visit and a wasted co pay.
Addy Pierantoni: Dr.Thabet Is amazing! Listens to your concerns. Answers questions you have very well. 100% recommend him

Thomas P. Miller, M.D.: what do users think?
Brooke Tate: Dr. Miller and his team are incredible from the time I walked in until the time I left everyone was amazing. His nurse was so funny and full of life she helped make my 5 year old feel as comfortable as she could before and during his allergy testing. She even hugged him at the end and told him how well he did. Dr. Miller is very easy to talk to and very personable, he cracked jokes and took the time to really make sure I understood everything. I will definitely be moving my 3 year old over to Dr. Miller’s office as well.
Renee Belkin-Lang: Outstanding allergist!
Jonathon Werner: I'm a disabled vet, I see many doctors. I see one at least once a week. I see Dr Miller for my allergies, he's the one Dr who listened and actually sent me to get a cat scan that showed my sinus infection I had been complaining about for years. Every other Dr just gave me a 10 day dose of antibiotics. He gave me a good regimen that got rid of it for good. I can breathe finally. I can't comment on the wait in his office, or the music. I show up 15 minutes and I'm seen usually on time. I can't recommend him enough.
Rick Kunkel: Need music in waiting room times on and sometimes not.
