Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University: what do users think?
Matthew Taylor: Run! Seriously pick ANY other college!!!
Linda Kilmer: I am an alumni and came back to look at the student work. Nice artwork in there. The building has changed since I went there but looks fantastic! You can no longer walk through the building without an escort. Kendall is working hard to keep students and staff safe so if you want to look at the artwork, you will need to have someone show you around. Makes sense these days.
Demon 3406pk: Excellent place to get an education. Excellent professors they take the time to teach not just throw the lessons out there and do them they stand by their work stand by their students and make sure they are grasping what they're learning.
Robert Jersey: Great instructors, if you happen to get one. Who ever decides the technology requirements is retarded (having reduced mental capacity). The school wastes money on frivolous student meals and offers nothing in services for personal life of the students. $36,000 a year no meal plan, housing or amenities.
Jared Folkert: A very unprofessional university with under qualified professors. Along with being under qualified, the professors are also rude. Professors often talk down to students and at one point called my classmate “stupid.” Grades are based on the professors’ own opinions rather than quality of work. When trying to fight a grade I didn’t deserve I was treated as though I wasn’t a priority and it took weeks for them to even respond. Dorms, parking, and a cafeteria aren’t provided at Kendall causing a major inconvenience for anyone who doesn’t live right in Grand Rapids. Diversity doesn’t exist and the student body consists of rude and judgemental students.
Kelly Hart: The only program I can speak for @ this school is the Graphic design program. Coming here was one of the best choices I made. I felt unready and unprepared with only an associates and now that I am graduated with a BFA my portfolio and my body of work within it perfectly shows my design style and reflects my abilities. Many of the professors are willing to do anything to help you succeed, all you have to do is initiate that conversation and where you feel you need help.Like any school tho their are a few professors who are only their for a paycheck. However I gave the school 4 stars not because of my experience with the program but because of the admissions offices. The people who work on the 7th floor are some of the rudest people I have ever met in my life. Even many of the professors have admitted to not being impressed with the admissions office personal because of issues not being handled properly or unprofessionally.Likewise the school does not have a career center. Though a lot of kids don’t need a career center as KCAD offers many opportunities to network and work with local business’ in the graphic design department, many students in different programs could benifit from such a office where jobs might be tougher to find.Overall, the school offers a lot of great opportunities within the city of Grand Rapids and the GR community knows the work that comes out of the school is high quality. So you have a slight upper hand in the community because of the name on your degree when graduating. So take advantage of the schools connections when given the opportunity.
Cheyenne Le Hale: Attending this college was the worst decision I ever made. I would not recommend this school to anyone.
Janet Ramsey: Very Disappointed in this Art Prize Venue. Will Not Go Back. Would suggest Skipping it Altogether!
he hongwei: I wanna go
Michael: Great teachers and programs. I don't like being downtown much though.
Robert J. Woldhuis: I just used the parking lot here to attend the gazelle girl half marathon. Parking was easy and cheap and felt good to have my vehicle be close and accessible
Lars Canty: When I went to Kendall their computer classes were state-of-the-art and better equipped than the college I attended in Los Angeles. They have a great career board and I was actually hired by Marvel Comics as a colorist before I got my certificate of completion. One of my friends was also hired at Steelcase prior to graduating. The computer fundamentals I learned gave me a competitive edge in the booming graphic design industry. If you are an artist or multimedia enthusiast and are trying to decide on a geat college to go to I can't recommend Kendall highly enough. The staff and facilities are astounding.
kelsey goode: Wyoming is in Kent county, dingus.

Coit Arts Academy: what do users think?
Bay B (Bay): Good school my kids loved it but the front desk lady has a terrible attitude and made me feel weird
you and the moon: school of sussy bakas…… very amogus…
Becky schort: One of the best educational facilities in michigan.
Gerardo Jilote: Voting center and old Grade school of mine but pretty well kept school, friendly staff and health aid.
Sue Lester: My granddaughter attends preschool there. The teachers and principal seem to really care about their students.
Laura Guzman: no😒😒😒😒
Lone wolf Andcubs: My four year old currently attends coit and my 15 years old went there for elementaryCoit is a good school especially for little artist. My children learn compassion and creativity along with alllll of the other necessary things they need to know to prepare themselves for the worldCoit is the best school in GRPS
Inice Chandler: I appreciate this school in more ways than one. It's a school that pays close attention to the mental well being of each child. It is shaping our kids minds to be the greatest in all facet of life. My daughter loves the school it allows her to spread her wings and soar! The teachers teach with patience and it shows. Kids are learning as well as expressing who they are through the arts which is awesome. They learn academically and arts. I wish we had that in school. Great principle and teachers! I recommend this school.
Nathanial Creek: Besides that there is no parking lot for visitors, the staff and kids that go to this school are so humble and energetic.Their principle is caring and he has a cool vibe to his presence. I would volunteer here anytime!
Cara Park: Couldn't be happier with this school and the way they teach!! We love it!!
Jon G: If you want an artsy kid, send them here. It was one of the best experiences in my life, and one of the most unique ones too.
Avleen Vig: One of the best schools in grps.
Matthew Sutherland: Phenomenal educational institution.
Lynn Loubert: I love the concept of an arts based school, especially since I'm an upcoming art teacher. However, when I came in to observe children create art, my colleague and I were treated like we were unwanted. While we were sent out of the office to wait, one of the (I believe teachers) were yelling at the kids in such a rude manor. Some of the teachers are wonderful on the other hand! I just wish I hadn't seen what I had that day. I didn't feel welcomed or wanted there. Please, be sure to really look into this school before putting your kids in it.
Kali Siegel: Nice school I liked it

Dominique: My 6 year old attends a Mandarin Chinese class here and I can’t say enough positive things about this place!!! Mrs.Li is very patient with young kids and my daughter learns so much from her! She seems to have a mother’s touch because my daughter listens and pays attention. It’s amazing to see her growth! Ms.Cecily and Ms.Holly keeps me informed with my payments and help whenever I’m having issues. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking to learn another language.
Casity Kao: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueSo many activities and programs for all ages. You can send your kids there for a session or schedule an art party for a date night. They have it all.

Wine & Canvas Studio: what do users think?
Michele Polich: Amazing! Thank you Tabby! My uncle will love his present and you were sooooo helpful!
Christina Moore: The instructor was friendly, helpful, talented, and made it all fun for us!
Lori Browning: So fun! Had a surprise day off work, so I grabbed up the bestie and went to paint Shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day. The instructor was so fun and helpful. $4 frozen drinks were a nice bonus, as well. For the first time ever painting I think it turned out pretty well! The other patrons were so fun too. If you've wanted to try it, just do it. Its a great way to spend a few hours of quality time with friends or family.
Nicole Wrubel: Although I enjoyed the painting, this was the most stingy place I have ever been too. Strictly enforced, one paper plate(which she proceeded to take the extras away from people), 2 napkins at a time and I wanted to dump my paint water because it was so full of paint and she told me I couldn’t because you only get one cup per person. Then proceeded to show me how to clean a paint brush. What?!!! It is not like it is costing them any more for me to get clean water. The girl was also very pushy asking if people wanted help and even when they said no thanks she still kept asking like it wasn’t up to her expectations. Not sure I would go back to this place but will definitely do something like this again.
J. H.: Came here with a group of ladies and we all had a blast! Amanda was fantastic! Most of us wanted to do the very colorful painting in grayscale instead and she was very accommodating and showed us how to do both. Such a great time and the mixed wine drinks were very good too! Definitely will be back!
Carley (Cosmic Carleyy): What a fantastic night! A great place to get creative and let that inner child have some fun. Much needed night out. Good prices, great instructors and amazing staff. Highly recommend!
Patricia Vanzant: Lots of fun! We had a big group for work. They supplied everything and the instructor was fun and helpful! Would go again for sure!
Alexandria Wineman: I’ve been to a few drink and paint outings, this was the worst occasion. Staff wasn’t too friendly. Terribly delayed in getting us started. Class was at 6 and we finally started painting at 640. She taught and gave tips involving a painting on her phone and the display which were 2 totally different pieces. Not a good flow and definitely wouldn’t recommend that particular location for future events.
Abigail Brown: What a great date night! If you can follow directions you can paint a beautiful picture! Our instructor, Tabby was great. We had so much fun and recommend this to everyone!
Jessica Castañeda: Had an awesome date night at Wine &Canvas! It was our first time and we had so much fun! Love that we could bring our own snacks!
Amina Redzic: I came here with a friend a few months ago, we had been looking for a paint and sip place in the area for a while and thought this place would be great. The overall experience was alright, they definitely need more employees. The girl instructing the class also was making/pouring drinks, completing snack sales, passing out supplies, and assisting others with their paintings. She was the ONLY person working, it was not an efficient way to run it. Half of the time we were sitting waiting for instructions to continue because she was having to make more drinks, etc. Most of the snacks were expired or stale. She was adamant about not giving us enough of the paint that we needed, making more work for herself having to go around the class multiple times with the same paint colors. I went for a class that had bottomless mimosas for $10 so of course I’m going to want to drink as many as I want while I’m there. She didn’t want to pour more if we already had a drink at our seat or when it was getting to the end of the session. Also, it ran an hour over what it was scheduled to be for. I got a cute painting out of it but I wouldn’t spend my money to come back here. Its worth it more to do it at your own house or with friends yourselves.
Tara Bush: Had a great experience with the instructor! Super friendly and helpful! Loved it! There were some Karen's in the group who were taking up time complaining about light sources and things not being atomically correct. Please if you want to go to one of these classes leave your perfectionist attitude out of it as it's supposed to just be a fun experience for everyone and you ruin it by being rude and expecting this to be a Mona Lisa painting. Other than that it was super fun and me and my friend really enjoyed it!
Scott Price: My first visit, can't wait to attend another event!
Rebecca Hall: Super late to writing a review since my friend and I came last September, but we absolutely loved it! So fun and the instructor made it easy for us to make the painting. I'm not very good at paintings, but she was sure helpful throughout the session. Can't wait to come back!
Felicia Oliver: I liked the class. It was a fun time.
Oti Ne: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueWe arrive an hour and 30 mins late and Tabby still allowed us to paint. She was flexible catching us up in between finishing up the other ladies. My husband and I were first timers and we had a blast. Thanks tabby looking forward to painting with you again!
Cindy Moore: Had a lot of fun ! Brought my daughter with me & the instructor is very nice and helpful , will be returning again !!
Neha Hackman: It’s not a fun experience. They are very short staffed.
Rebecca Levings: We prepaid for a class with them that ended up being canceled. No problem, just have them refund our money, right? NOPE. We have attempted MULTIPLE TIMES phone calls, left messages, and to no avail. They are ignoring our messages and keeping our $70 evidently. I would never schedule a class here again, obviously they need that $70 to stay in business or they would be a proper, respectful business who owns up to their mistakes and gives your money back for classes that THEY canceled!
Lisa M: This was a lot of fun. The instructor was very clear and helpful. Great relaxing atmosphere I would definitely do this again.
Susan Wolf: Enjoyable and fun. Alot of conversation with others. 1st time painting on canvas, surprised myself! Instructor explained painting techniques well!

Darla Carrier: Chelsea was great. I never thought my painting would look like the example, but it does! So proud.Take this class!!!
Tina Mackey: Took a class with my husband. This class was alcohol free and let me tell you Chelsea was hilarious 😂. She had the class relaxed and interacting and enjoying the experience within minutes of starting and even my grumpy non artistic husband enjoyed himself 🤣.Chelsea truly is a talented artist, educator and motivator. Her staff had everything set up, provided all materials as we needed them and cleaned up afterwards. We truly had an enjoyable evening. I would definitely do this again and again!
Louisa Risetter: We did the afternoon acrylic painting class and loved our experience!! Chelsea was super fun, approachable, and easy to work with and she created a very welcoming and relaxed environment! Didn't feel rushed at all like I usually do in other painting classes I've done, which made for an even better experience!! If you're looking for a laid back, more personalized painting experience this is the place to go!!!
Tanya Labarre: Chelsea was such a fantastic host! We all had such an amazing experience! Highly, highly recommend to have a great time :)

Brenda Lane: I love the Art of Life Gallery and Studio! They have a cute shop with unique itema in it. They also do painting classes, both acrylic and watercolor! Chelsea and Tia are very helpful if you have questions or if you need a painting! They are both very talented artists and are willing to help you create a one of a kind painting! They also both do commission work and from what I have seen their work is both utterly amazing!
April Renee: Lovely place, lovely people, lovely artwork. Amazingly supportive of the community as a whole.
