This store has a very different concept of what most people would consider a store. Have a open mind when you visit please. Also remember when you're there that this man is a trained classical pianist and knows what music is supposed to sound like That's why he only sells what he likes. Speakers that make the music sound the way it was intended to. Recorded music wasn't recorded to sound live It has many tracks laid down It is all edited together live music is not that It's a one chance to try to get it right and what you get is what you get Thank you.

David Good: Northwoods gave me a sweet deal on a Yamaha receiver and Monitor Audio speakers back in 2016. I'm still blown away every time I turn the system on and listen to my favorite high-res music. Movies are pretty good too.

They could have just said they only do that it if you buy it from them, but this guy took it too far. He might have spent a good amount of money there (he does spend a lot on his stereo equipment) but I guess they didn't want his business. I suggest that any of you other audiophiles do business elsewhere, since this place thinks you're all sociopaths.

Richard McNamara: I had a high-end sound system – that is, it was high-end when I bought it 30 years ago! After numerous tweaks we decided to re-investigate an update our system from the ground up. Phil and Jim from Audio Video Interiors (AVI) did a complete assessment of our present system, interviewed us regarding our present and future audio and visual needs, and presented a comprehensive plan for upgrading our equipment. We personally tested several combinations in their show room to make sure we could actually hear and see what was proposed. They masterfully designed a system that perfectly fit our needs and provided us with updated technology that was of superb quality and easy to use. Their in-home evaluation of our home, our present system, and our hopes for comprehensive system was essential. They provided us with an incredible final product, perfectly customized to our home and our personal use. Importantly, it is adaptable, remarkably easy to use, and very reasonably priced. We are getting ready for the next 30 years of listening and viewing pleasure! Would highly recommend AVI if you are in need of an update to your audio and visual needs. And who isn't?
Kate Dernocoeur: I've worked for years with Phil & Elliott (and others) and the service and patience and understanding to teach me intricacies of high-end electronics has always been consistent and real. They are responsive and will persist until I am satisfied (we've had a few adventures!). It's not the cheapest, but in the case of electronics, and service, you get what you pay for.
