Stephanie Tomaszek: I called my locl Madewell to check on inventory after my online order was cancelled because it was sold out! Yikes! The associate, Lindsey, who helped me was friendly, efficient and professional....And this was the Sunday after Black Friday - so they were busy! I told her I would gladly do the calling to find my boots. She found my item in several locations and said to call her back if I needed more phone numbers. I found it! Extraordinary customer service! Thank you, Lindsey!!!

Sarah Haines: This was my first time out shopping for new jeans since having my son in March. The ladies were knowledgeable about the various offerings and were both patient and accommodating given that I was shopping with my little one.I would have liked to have purchased some shoes in the store but it didn't seem like many options were in stock. Several pairs had little buttons on them that said that they could be ordered for you. I got the impression that it meant they didn't carry those styles in the store's stock. I don't live in the area so unfortunately it just wasn't an option for me.
kate silvio: Probably the worst retail experience that I’ve ever had... the woman in front of me had a return and I waited 20 minutes while the manager walked back and forth to help but never stayed. After 15 minutes of this, the manager finally came over and did the entire thing in 5 minutes. She told me, ‘it takes as long as it takes...’ no apology.

Seth: Great selection of products. Good prices. Men’s dressing room was clean. Staff was friendly. The only issue was the payment terminal did not accept my Apple Card via ApplePay for some reason, which then I had to use an alternative form of payment.

Sylvia Dana: I walked in a Friday to see if I could get in as I have a last minute trip and need a hair doo pronto. There wasn't an opening so I gladly made an appointment for today, Sunday. I received a call two hours prior to the appointment from a receptionist telling me the client before me came late, so the stylist wouldn't be able to see me today. I was really looking forward to my appointment here, but I won't be making a different appointment at this salon. I'm very disappointed.

Before I knew it I was talking to my destination. She went over and above. A trait you don't find anymore. I tried to tip her, and all she wanted was a comment on her website...thanks Sandra's!!!
JoAnna S: Had a very very rude cashier. She belittled my grandmother kept saying "you need to do that for her" when she was entering her information on the pin pad after the woman told her to sign up for the credit card. And then she gave me a huge hassle with bagging she tried shoving 10 curtains and 2 end pieces into 2 bags. Shocker it did not fit. Then she almost didn't give us one of our curtains bc she had placed it elsewhere not with the rest of our purchase and any attempts to talk to cashier (the one named after a flower but spelt with an ia) were ignored as she continues ranting about her life working her different retail jobs
Jose Marez: They don't care very much about there customers. They had the fitting n dress room closed off with clothes all on the floor and blocking it. Was so difficult to people to enter with all those clothes on floor. Just goes to show you how much they appreciate there customers

Caly James: Very clean and welcoming store. So much to choose from. The staff are kind and considerate. Last Tuesday, I purchased a large Photo stand from them that was much too heavy to carry out in a bag. One of the employees volunteered to wrap it up in bubble wrap and pack it in a box for me. I live on the third floor of my building, so her extra care and attention to packaging it nicely made a big impact. Thanks so much

During each of my several trips here, I have had to seek out an associate to assist me in starting a fitting room, instead of one of the many associates offering to bring my items to a room.Also, rarely will you ever receive a greeting when entering. Making customers feel unwelcome, their team members do not willingly engage with and assist customers.Their lack of quality service decreases my desire to purchase here!
Claire Hoerle: I walked into the store and was immediately welcomed by some young ladies. Then, I found cute clothing and received help by the staff to arrange an outfit. I learned new tips and tricks and I got treated like a friend. I asked the name of the helpful young lady and she said her name was Emmy. I would recommend. The clothes are great, but the service is better.

Sarah Selis: I usually have a wonderful experience with Anthropologie and typically their customer service is top tier. I have been to several locations in different states and never experienced anything like I did yesterday. I went to the Brenton Village store location in Grand Rapids to make a return and waited in line for no less than 35 minutes. I have never waited that long, but I was patient and did not mind the wait itself. Once I get to the cashier’s desk I had my bag with the item I was returning and handed over my return receipt. Instead of saying “how can I help you?” or “sorry for the long wait, thank you for being patient” I am greeted with “...and what do you want me to do with this??” in a very rude tone. This was the definition of poor customer service. If only she could see my jaw drop... it was unfortunately hidden behind a mask. I think this branch should really do a refresher course on customer service and fire the grinch.

Leslie Schlaack: Bought a dress at Lee and Birch a little less than a year ago and one of the threads that held a metal clasp broke right away while trying to situate my bra underneath the dress. Extremely surprised how easily this thread broke especially given that I was not tugging aggressively or pulling on the metal clasp or thread in any way. Never worn this dress out and already ruined. Might try and repair on my own but extremely cautious to go back to this store again. Super bummed :/

Kathleen Ward: I started shopping at Lee and Birch online over COVID despite living right around the corner from them for years ! They have fabulous quality and wonderful FRIENDLY staff. Their price points range and have awesome sidewalk sales throughout the year. So if you’re looking for a deal, that’s the time to go. People complaining about them being too expensive apparently think they need to sell things for free and not make a profit as a small business. I will continue to support them as a local GR resident.

Lisa Klenk: Cute, on-trend clothing. A surprisingly large selection for the size of the shop, yet it doesn't feel cluttered in any way. You'll pay a little more than at a big-box retailer, but the payoff will be higher quality clothing that isn't see-through (looking at you, H&M) and will last so much longer. Plus, you'll be supporting local!
Kate Van Zalen: Very cute store however the employee who was in there on a Thursday night was very rude! Came in towards close and was on her phone the whole time and basically made us leave right at 7pm. Coming from a family who owns a women’s clothing store, this is unacceptable.
