Lauren Perry: We’ve had nothing but great experiences here. Our dog Maverick has been boarded there 4 or 5 times now and has been treated like a king. He is anxious, reactive, and takes daily medication and the staff always says how much of a sweetheart he is and keeps up with his needs. They are great at responding, communicating, and treating your animals well.It’s so tough to find a good boarding place for your larger breed dogs, and but I would recommend Whiskers to anyone!

While we were on vacation, my daughter received an email about our dog started limping so they took him out of playtime and let him rest. My daughter and my husband picked him up at Dec. 23 and paid $325. Our dog was still limping when he was picked up, so my family brought him to the emergency. Our dog was in the emergency for about 8 hrs, they X-ray his left paw and gave pain meds. We end up paying $685.28.Out of frustration, my daughter and I emailed Whiskers on Dec. 24 demanded some answers and a video about what really happened and why did our dog started limping. We did received an email back same day that a manager will contact us. But the manager didn’t get back to us until Monday Dec. 26 because of the holiday. Then, my daughter got a phone call and text message about what happened. They told her that our dog was playing with another dog (Bernice mountain dog) probably bigger than ours we don’t know. They said that they could not see the video camera clearly.My daughter brought our dog to his vet appointment yesterday Jan. 4, and they said that he has ankle fracture and it’ll take some time to heal. We paid the vet $525.61 because they sedated him for X-ray and gave him pain meds and calming med.I did appreciate that the whiskers manager return back to us however what matters here is that theres some kind of neglect happened on their part. With their pricing being too much, dog owners should expect high quality care no matter what. We wont bring our dog there anymore and I hope this comment brings awareness to other dog/cat owners.

John Smith: Not sure why the rating is so high on google, yelp has a more accurate depiction of the place. This resort will charge you for every last possible thing. Want an update about your dog? That’s costs money.. Want your dog to come out of its cell more than twice in 24hrs? You guessed it, costs money. Want a dog that isn’t happy and depressed when you get it back? This is your place. Not sure what’s going on behind the scenes at this facility but I doubt it’s actual care unless you are paying their top dollar rates.

Ed Alexander: Scheduled grooming over 2 weeks ago. Came in and told me I was not scheduled. Spoke to the groomer and she said that she was booked. She did not offer any solutions. Disappointed with service.

Taylor Robinson: We did a one-night trial stay with our pup and they did not feed or give his very important medications to him at dinner time (He was dropped off late afternoon.) At pickup, they gave no information on how our dog was during his stay and did not inform me that he was not fed. They also ruined his food bowl by writing on it with permanent marker. We will not be returning and will not recommend to anyone. We'll stick with Whiskers.Edited to add: After looking into it, Paws and Unwind is owned by the same people behind Barking Boutique, which is really no surprise. They truly don’t care for animals if they are working with puppy mills.

Dianna Cummings: Horrible experience, the receptionist was not warm and friendly to our puppy when she took her back. We were charged for two nights despite the promotional deal that was offered from the barking boutique. My dad picked Bella up on her last day and the staff never asked for ID. She wasn’t bathed, she had hard feces stuck to her butt. We will never use this facility again.

Jenni Kerkstra: We had our usual person who would watch our dog fall through and needed to schedule something quick. For any of the dog boarding near us they were the only ones to answer in a timely manner. We were able to get her in and the process of getting her in went well. Never was given an estimate number so we had to estimate it ourselves. There was no clear drop off/pick up times so I had to ask. Customer service felt off. Pick-up wasn't smooth, the front desk was rude and when we got our dog back and her stuff, her bedding was wet and smelled. Her behavior was off as well. We signed up for the silver tier and had added that she was more wary with men but it was clear in the videos we received as check ups that she still was around men which might not be avoidable. Once we got home she went to the bathroom but she will hold it all day because she refuses to go inside, so it was obvious she wasn't let out the day we picked her up. A little disappointed and probably will never bring her back.

Meagan Mojica: We have been bringing our dog here to get groomed for quite sometime and have usually had a good experience (depending on the groomer as we have had a few instances where we weren’t as satisfied). My husband brought our dog in for an appointment and was 12 minutes late due to an unforeseen circumstance….they told him after 10 minutes they cancel the appointments and would not take our dog back to get groomed. Unbelievable. If you are contemplating going here, I would look elsewhere as they don’t have great customer service here.

They told me on price on phone, and when I dropped her off I asked the lady agian when dropping off, then when I came to pick my dog up they did not give her a bath or nail trim that I asked for told me to come back in 10 mins and it would be done. Came back then the same lady that told me the price at check in told me I owed way more for the bath and nail trim I told her you where the one that told me the pricing when I checked her in and I asked that includes a bath and nail trim and 3 days of play! She argued with me and no one of management was available to talk to.🙄 I paid . Got home and my dog has been home since Monday 7/11/22 and she has had diarrhea since she has been home and I sent her food with them😡 I called 2 days into it and they said it most be stress!! Geez what did you do to my dog!! It's Friday I have given her some rice and punkin and she still has diarrhea! This place does not care don't take your Dog here if you love them!💔💔💔

Leandro Binuya: I don’t recommend this place. I took my dog for boarding for the thanksgiving weekend. First of all, the drop off process was a bit shady. The house sounded like it was absolutely filled with dogs. Then, when I picked up my dog, the house smelled like weed as soon as they opened the door. I had to wash my poor dog, his bedding and carrier because of the awful smell from staying at this place. I don’t recommend this place and you’re better off paying more money at other sitters or boarding kennels. Thank God I only boarded my dog for a couple of days; I can’t imagine how they actually take care of the dogs.

Daniel Sepanik: This is my second time boarding my dog for over a week here. Gabriella is awesome, she took really good care of my Husky while I was away. She let me pick him up at 11:30 at night right when I got back into town. He got a little dirty playing outside so she even gave him a bath before sending him home! Definitely will come again.

Heather Kittle: I found Doggie Latchkey by doing an online search 2 years ago and I’m so glad! My pet sitter is Joni, and she has become a second mom to my 2 kitties, and a trusted helper to me! One night I had to take one of my cats to the emergency room and he had to have emergency overnight surgery but I couldn’t get back to pick him up until late the next day. Joni was texting me throughout the night because she was worried about him, and then she picked him up for me in the morning, took him home, and made sure he was settled in before she left. That’s not part of her job description and although I did pay for her time, her personal concern and special care were bonuses. That’s one example of the high quality service that I have gotten from Doggie Latchkey, but I have other examples too! The scheduling and billing people are also helpful, efficient, and friendly. Julia Fulton: I have had my dog groomed here twice and the first experience was great! No issues.However the second time she was cut so short and close to her skin that when I left her at home for a few hours she scratched herself raw. She would growl aggressively if I tried to pet her at times which she had never done before.I had to take her to the vet and they put her on meds to keep her from scratching that sensitive area and to help the wound heal.I called and left a message with the facility regarding what happened, and did not receive a call back.I called again several days later and they apologized for not calling back but stated when there is matting they have to cut the hair super short and were not apologetic for what happened. I asked for some kind of reimbursement which the girl on the phone stated she could not give but her manager would call me back. I never received that call.

Lynne McClure: Carol's Ferals is a wonderful place to get a kitty. There are several rooms, each with a different group of cats - kittens in one room, senior cats in another, plus a couple more, there's even a special room just for FIV kitties . All cats are spayed/ neutered, microchipped, treated for parasites, given all their shots, and treated for any other condition, if they need it. The volunteers are all wonderful, loving people that truly just want all of the kitties to find "furever" homes. They are very helpful, ready to give advice as needed. When you adopt a cat, you receive a packet of all the documentation associated with the kitty. There are some really great cats there, please stop by and see them. Jenny is wonderful with our good boy and you can tell she has a passion for the dogs she cares for. He is always super excited once we turn down Clyde Park and jumps out of the car and runs right up to the front door to see all his doggy friends. People leaving reviews about a little mud on their dog at pick up.. give me a break! I love to see it and know he was out having fun!

Linda Blanchard: My golden lab Brody has been going since 2015. Brody absolutely loves going and has stayed as long as a month. Jenn has a beautiful large yard for him to play! She makes sure they get outside and plenty of exercise! Jenn takes extra care if medication is needed and she takes great care of Brody! Brody is one happy dog while he’s there!

Beth DeGraff: I use BCPB for daycare and boarding on a regular basis for my hound dog. He has been going there since he was a puppy and is now 5 yo. I would say that Jen is an "animal person" who has created a great environment/setting for my dog and the other pets she cares for. They have plenty of outdoor time and space for play and the security/structure they need to be comfortable in a home away from home. It's really good to know that when I need to leave town without my pets,or they need some play time with others, they are well cared for at BCPB.

Jordan Deweerd: We boarded our 4 month old puppy here for 10 days. Had measured out the amount of food needed for those days, and he came home with the container still half full. We didn't get his dog bed or toy back (but didn't realize until we were already home). He was filthy and smelly. He had a vet checkup the day before we boarded him, and a stool sample that all came back clean. The day after he was brought home, he had severe diarrhea that didn't stop for days, so we had to bring him to the vet again. He contracted Giardia and Coccidia while there. Before boarding him, he was gaining 5lbs a week. He was there 10 days, and lost 1lb.

Ryan Johnson: It is nice to leave your dog with someone who makes it feel like a home rather than a stuffy boarding facility. For a reasonable price you get flexibility and a pup that will always come home worn out from playing with friends. Daycare and overnight offerings that I have yet to have any issues with.

Anna Euler: Jen was an absolute delight and was SO accommodating to our needs and our dog's needs. I have a 8 month old golden retriever puppy who I was very nervous to leave for a couple days... Jen was so helpful with explaining how her pet boarding works and definitely eased my concerns and fears about leaving my baby with her! I love that my dog was able to play all day outside and socialize. Many of the pet boarding places I have looked at keep the dogs in kennels... but not BC boarding. Love it. I would highly recommend to anyone needing daycare or boarding for their dog.
