Sophie m: as a past student, i have inside information on what its like to go to school here. it was terrible, teachers and faculty had failed me. There were many instances of bullying directed towards me and my friend, and somehow we would get into trouble for it. teachers went through class blindly, ignoring the problems at hand. for example, one day during gym class a fellow student purposefully hit me with a badminton racket, i go to my teacher to explain the debacle, and he asked me if i was bleeding. When i said no, he told me to get over it. This is real, the teachers are aware and ignore it. Another example, a student told me to kill myself, and once again teachers did nothing. I have countless stories. every time i came forth to the teachers to acknowledge bullying, they ignored it. You would think a catholic school had compassionate staff, but you would be wrong. If i could give this school 0 stars i would. If you care about your child’s mental health and overall well being, this is not the place to be. please, spare your children.honestly, what do you think an email is gonna fix? Not lifelong trauma
Ryan Brown: I went to IHM starting in preschool all the way until 8th grade, and I cannot say enough how great my experience was. Not only did I get a good educational foundation, IHM placed a high priority on being good stewards of the Catholic faith that has stuck with me throughout my life. Not many other schools in Grand Rapids do as good of a job at that than IHM does. Go Vikings!
Anne Brown: Immaculate Heart of Mary had a profound affect on the formation of my three children as disciples of Christ. The motto "Disciples then Diplomas" is not just something the staff says, it is the driving force behind everything they do. We loved our experience in the IHM community.
Brandy Iacopelli: Both of our children attend IHM. They love it! Their teachers have all been excellent and really attentive to the kids.

Megan Tietema: IHM is an excellent school, and Church. Same can be said for the high school Catholic Central. IHM has excellent facilities, teachers, and a parish and priest that pushes its students, and teen/adult members to realize their full potential - and to help them learn what God's plan is for them. Not only is it able to be a faith filled school underneath Jesus Christ to be sure, the academic achievement of its students is second to no one in this area - setting most up well to be equipped into the future and be positive contributors in the societies in which they live ... though HS, into college, into the workplace, in families, wherever. You can not go wrong choosing Immaculate Heart of Mary in Grand Rapids, MI. I have first hand knowledge, and my kids attend there too. Thank you for reading this.

MaryE: My sons and I have been a part of the St Anthony community since 2013. We have formed bonds and gained many friendships, as well as grown in our faith. I personally experienced the benefits of a K-12 Catholic education, and knew I wanted to provide my kids with the same foundation. Every sacrifice has been worth it! I witness many ways our community has enriched our lives, and I know we are right where we belong.
Mandi Bradeen: I attended St. Anthony as a student from 6th through 8th grade. The year prior I had attended a different school after my family had moved across town & it was a less than desirable experience. I was nervous to switch to a Catholic school and start all over again, but those years ended up being the best of my childhood. The teachers & staff genuinely cared about the students & wanted them to succeed. The entire school & church community was very welcoming. Everyone in our family made lifelong friends, and we are still in touch with former teachers & staff as well. So it was an easy decision for me 25 years later to send my oldest son to preschool there. It’s the perfect place for him to learn & grow within a caring community. I feel as though his teachers know him well & he’s not just lost in a sea of students. He hurries excitedly into school each day & can’t wait to tell me about his day afterward. We can’t wait to send our second son to preschool there this fall!
Emily Wesholski: We really have enjoyed the school and community at St. Anthony of Padua. Education is important to us, and we have seen our children learn and grow so much with the help of the amazing teachers they have had and have. I am thankful to go to a place where I can communicate with the teachers and staff and they actually listen to what I have to say and are respectful. My kids have made such great friends as well. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for somewhere for their children.
