Whitney Danielle: I have been a long-time advocate and supporter of the Grand Rapids Chamber. While I have been disappointed to see turnover in some positions over the years, the same familiar faces have remained in key roles at the Chamber. I truly believe they are an advocate for large and small business alike. They don't limit their focus to local business, for their mission is larger, and focused more on economic impact, job creation, and helping grow a vibrant West Michigan business community.If you are hesitant to join the Chamber due to membership costs, I would recommend visiting the Chamber office, and talking to the Chamber team (or attending a couple of events). Make the most of your Chamber membership by utilizing the available resources, and having a team member attend some of the events. They also have a membership directory available to members, which is a great marketing resource. You would be surprised just how much the Chamber offers, which is why I would recommend taking the time to sit down with a representative to learn about their impact, and benefits of membership.

They continually put others before themselves and have done so by having a staff the cares.We are fortunate to have this Chamber in our backyard.

WolfOfSolace: A city's chamber of commerce should not be endorsing political candidates. It's honestly an unbelievably stupid move, and they really should have known there would be backlash. Grand Rapids, including its businesses, is no longer a solid red city, and the Chamber ought to know better.Once again, no matter who they want to endorse, a city's Chamber of Commerce should NOT be endorsing ANY political candidates.

I called to verify a business as a member and was treated like complete crap and they wouldnt verify the business as a member. Lady, very rude, said we do not verify if a business is a member then slammed the phone. Our company's phone system records all calls. If anyone wants to hear the call just hit me up and I will send it to you. The money you spend for that plaque on your wall is worthless if the Chamber will not even verify your membership.

Summer Vasquez: The Wyoming-Kentwood Chamber is my favorite to be a part of. The events offer a more intimate setting than a larger chamber, and you are able to fully connect with other individuals and build strong relationships with them. The Chamber President, Bob, is a great asset and makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable. I was new to networking 4 years ago, and one of my first events was through this Chamber and it really helped me to feel more comfortable with networking and has assisted in sharing information about the company I work for.

Whitney Danielle: This is a smaller Chamber but a huge resource for our community. One of the things I love about this Chamber is that they are well-connected, personable, and easy to talk to. I love attending the monthly events (when available, due to COVID restrictions), and always feel comfortable and at home. There seems to be a more relaxed, yet professional vibe which I appreciate. I don't feel intimidated or uncomfortable (networking can be intimidating if you are an introvert!) I also love that they connect with other area Chambers so businesses can expand their network, and have a Connected Women event quarterly which I have always looked forward to.

Pat Curran: Belonging to WKACC has proven over and over to be a huge benefit for our organization. The 3rd Friday's lunch and networking alone is worth it's weight in gold. If you are a Wyoming-Kentwood business and not a member, you are missing out on the best kept secret going.

Jonathan Mast: For some reason I ignored the Wyoming/Kentwood Chamber of Commerce for a number of years. I don't know exactly why although I can tell you after being a member for a year that it's a great Chamber with active members and tons of opportunities to get involved. Like any Chamber - you get in what you put in although I can tell you that the return on investment is GREAT and well worth the effort.
