Michael Swartz: Wonderful downtown church. Beautiful carvings from a long ago era. Heard a speaker in the sanctuary and attended the Sunday service both were done well. Folks were friendly and helpful.

Lauri Burgtorf: I loved the beauty of the church, both inside and outside. Great security and staff; we attended the DeVos Children's Day of Memorial Service on Sunday evening. My daughter's emotional support/service dog was having a hard time with the steam heat that they use to heat the building and the tile on the floor was warm also; these things were not bad for us humans and normally not bothersome to her either, however the security guard was very understanding and went outside with us a couple of times so I could walk her to cool down, to the point of her laying on the parking lot and she loved it, cooled her right down...we loved having a church that was warm and welcoming, both spiritually and physically and kindness of a caring person for security. When we visit in the future, I will know accordingly how to adjust the situation to prepare our service helper better so she can Enjoy her job too. Thank you so much and God Bless.

kat baldwin: I take my residents here on Wednesday nights for go getters and the meal. It's a clean church and is very welcoming. Everyone is friendly. Has handicap parking / has a lot of parking spaces that wrap around the building and has automatic doors. There are elevators and stairs. A very big building. Plenty of bathrooms. A big café area.

Jenn Zobel: So, reviewing a church seems odd to me because it is such a personal experience. However, I’m new to the area, and I wish I had more reviews to read that discussed what to expect.I was raised Lutheran, but prior to moving, I was attending 242 in Brighton, and really enjoyed the contemporary service. So, I wanted to find that here.My boyfriend and I went to The Well 10am service, and we were immediately greeted by an usher. We tried sneaking in the side door because neither of us love small talk, but the usher went out of his way to walk over to our seats to welcome us. It made me feel like community is close there, which is something I’m looking to be apart of eventually. When the service started, we were told to spend a minute saying hi to our neighbors. I am not a fan of this ice breaker because I’m not necessarily at church to socialize, and it always makes me feel uncomfortable.The next part was even more awkward, in my opinion. The pastor asked if anyone needed prayers, and several people raised their hands. The pastor then told the rest of the congregation to go lay hands on the person needing prayers, and then the pastor started praying to Jesus, “End this disease RIGHT NOW! Right now, Jesus”. It was just odd to us.Finally, the band started playing. The congregation continued to stand, and a lot of people sang along. I was really enjoying the music until it kept going for the entire hour. The lead pastor did not go up to give a sermon until 11am! This would’ve been nice to know going in. Unfortunately, we had plans at 11:30, so we had to leave before even hearing the sermon. A service that is more than an hour is too long for me.The building was just built in July, so it is a really nice space!
Yoseph El-Ali: This is home, this is family, this is what Jesus is all about. Loving, caring, healing, transforming, renewing, and revival. The Well Church has ushered in the kingdom of heaven into my life in such a way that has lead to breakthrough in identity, drug use, and hopelessness. I couldn't be more happy to serve and to know that whenever I bring someone to The Well I know they will encounter God.

Courtney Upchurch: I grew up in a Christian home and was required to go to church every Sunday. When I became an adult and moved out, I stopped going. At first I loved the "freedom", but slowly a sense built up that something was missing from my life; that freedom turned to feeling lost. Eventually I decided to give church a second chance, but resolved to find a church that I WANTED to attend instead of going simply out of obligation. I can't tell you how many churches I tried out before I wound up at Grand Rapids Baptist, and I knew after my first service that I was done looking. Pastor Cody is such a realistic, loving, God-centered man. He has a passion for exemplifying Christ's unconditional love, but also isn't afraid to lay out the facts. Cody does such a wonderful job of balancing love and logic, and his wife, Shonda, is one of the best women you'll ever meet. I can't recommend this church enough. If you're on the fence of whether or not to try out a service, do it!!!

Katie Lyle: Thank you for a great VBS!! We were guests this past week and this church was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Safety was a top priority with numbered tags, plenty of volunteers, and even someone out near the parking lot. I don't leave my kids new places often, but I felt incredibly safe doing so here. The kids had a blast, but more importantly, were loved by all the volunteers and learned about Jesus. If you're looking for a church, this would be a great choice!
Chad Bergsma: It is definitely not the Sunshine Church of old. If you are looking for a young and vibrant church, I would keep looking. The church preaches the Word, but has reverted back to an old Christian Reformed church mentality. It lacks energy and has little potential for growth.

Austin Graff: Fifth Reformed Church is a solid, bible believing church. It's close to East Grand Rapids and is in a beautiful building. The worship is a great mix of more traditional songs with some Hillsong mixed in and the preaching is solid. It has all generations from elderly to young families. I recommend it!
Chad Farrand: A friendly church that welcomes all people. Great worship and preaching. A church that is truly intergenerational.
