Frank Pewter: Excellent clock repair shop! Don took in my 30 year old Black Forest cuckoo clock, who's dancers had stopped dancing, and music had stopped playing, for a free repair estimate. 4 days later, he called to tell me he would have to replace bushings in the music unit, give the works a cleaning and oiling. He quoted me a two week time frame to accomplish the repairs, and a price that was a hundred dollars less than half of what a shop in Rockford had wanted, just to put me on a one year waiting list!The work was completed in exactly two weeks, just as he had quoted me, and the charge was exactly as he'd predicted, right down to the penny! He warrantied his work for a year, and even loaded it back into my vehicle for me, which, having mobility issues, was greatly appreciated.The clock hasn't run so good since it was brand new.Fine work, excellent customer service, and great prices, this will be my go-to shop for all things clock related from now on.I highly recommend this business, and would have given them at least 99 stars if I could have.

They have been repairing clocks for over 30 years. They do make house calls for large clocks as well. I highly recommend them for clock repair or cleaning.

He changed the cord an cut it off said it was over heating and broke the hand. Now nothing works. He offered to pay me for it an for me to pick out another clock. Very dissatisfied an upset. Would not recommend.

I called several who were listed by Howard Miller within a 100 mile radius with disappointing responses. A simple Google search revealed Mr. Dewes, who had numerous excellent customer reviews. I am happy to provide another one. Mr. Dewes website had helpful information, I got a same day response and an appointment within 2 weeks even in the midst of the holidays. The personable and friendly clockmaker arrived on time, listened carefully to my concerns, and set to work. In the space of about an hour he had my clock running perfectly again and his fee was appropriate. I could not be happier with his service and highly recommend him.

I took my watch to him; he checked it over, determined it didn't need anything, asked if he could polish my rings and charged me nothing.
