Paul Macaluso: These are great condos. I've been here for 2 years now. They are well maintained. The office staff and maintenance people are really friendly. The association fee is the lowest in the area, it includes replacement for your AC, furnace and water heater. Water is also included. I've had ZERO issues with any of my neighbors.

Tristan Blake: Water has been leaking from my neighbors AC unit (covered by association in bylaws) but the PM and maintenance team has refused to offer any help for over two weeks. This is just the last straw in a long list of things. It’s hard to recommend living here.

Neighbors are a community. I’m in a pool balcony unit and it feels like vacation everyday. Live music on the patio all summer. And the restaurant is great with terrific staff.

H GK: I visited, and wish I could live here (it's one of the GR furniture factories re-developed to bring apartments to the city). Who wouldn't love the river & a bus stop in front of their building? And a gym & restaurant right downstairs? Oh, and a pool :) I also hadn't expected the amount of natural light those enormous windows let in.They need to do a li'l better with those corridors though. Go check out a couple hotels 😉

Cody Leonard: Can't answer as a resident, but it's a lot of fun to visit. Pool on the roof overlooking the city. Every unit is unique from what I can tell. Very cool project to turn this into residence.
Hannah Rose: I love living here! The building is very cool and remodeled in a way the kept the old feel of the school.
Mary Rodriguez: I love the old school feel of these condos but the main level and hallways need a remodel. There are a variety of square footage options and there are lots of amenities to having a place there. The rooftop pool and hot tub are amazing in the Summer too.

S Smith: The worst place to live. I have owned my condo for nearly 10yrs. I never ask for anything repair wise. Although I pay an outrageous amount monthly for association fees. The three few things I have requested in ten yrs, Maintence on, I am told is my responsibility and the $360 monthly l pay does not cover it. My windows LEAK water. So much so I have puddles on my window sill and it runs off onto the floor. The window company has come out to observe this and has stated they’re bad... however I’m told i have to pay if i want them fixed... my deck has boards that lift up and have large nails petruding out of the “spindles”... they come and staple gun the boards back in place or try to nail these boards down and it lasts maybe 1-2 months before the boards are again lifting and causing hazardous situations for my 10 and 6 yr olds.I had a foundation leak and when they came to repair it, they would not put my paneling or trim back up because they explained it was interior so it was not their responsibility... foundation leaked!! I would never have my paneling not trim off had this not happened... I would never recommend anyone living in these condos. The property management company is a scam and I feel the association steals the co owners money. It’s slightly fishy how all of the members of the board have freshly painted homes, new windows, trees cut down... when the two oldest buildings continue to have the original windows. SCAM. DO NOT MOVE HERE.

Mary Lou Bryant: My daughter has lived in this place for almost 4 years and has had flooding in her unit, infestations in their entire building, nothing is maintained here. It’s the same Board Members that keep getting elected & only care about themselves. They have treated my daughter with a severe disability in a way that is extremely inhumane & targeted her, refused to take any complaints that severely impact her life all because a Board has a vendetta against her. For what? Calling the City to inspect her place after flooding transpired & 5 other units wanted theirs inspected. The pool should just be closed down permanently. Worst nightmare for my daughter & we can only hope she can get out alive soon & find a different place. I’ve never in my life witnessed such disdain for people because Board Members don’t like someone & will not enforce bylaws that will jeopardize a persons life & they’ve known before she even bought the place. Do your research & go to the State, County & City for the FOIA. 4 management companies now in under 4 years that she’s been there. Horrible.
Brent Tanis: I have visited friends that live in a couple of the buildings & they are old dilapidated. Everything is from 1967 for piping. They have one tiny washer & dryer in each building for 11 units to use. They are lucky if they even work. One of the buildings has been infested with mice and another building became infested with cockroaches after the President refused to act on it for 14 months. The hallways stink & they seem to care more about landscaping than they do about maintaining the buildings. If someone makes a complaint they go after one person but if someone else is doing the same thing but far worse, they don’t do anything. It’s not a well established place to live and I would never recommend buying into this place, unless you want to deal with putting more money into fixing things & pipes that are so old they back up. Boilers bursting, no communication & people who sit on a Board that don’t seem to care about the residents that live there. It’s your choice.

Karen Darling: Went to visit a friend who lives in one of the condos; the building is in the back and from the outside, the Condos look really nice. However, when the buzzer sounded and I walked into the building, immediately I was over come by the most nasty stench I had ever encountered. The mold, mildew was so overwhelming and could feel the dampness in the corridor. I don't have allergies and by the time I got to the door of the friends condo, my nose was stuffy and I got a scratchy throat. After leaving and being out of the building, a half hour later, my nose and throat cleared. That building NEEDS to be inspection!!

Mike Daniel: Nice quiet place to live a little feel of secluded makes for nice mini community. I do feel they could improve on details around there. Yard id always kept nice and grounds are clean but the entry staircase gets to hot in summer especially if u going to top floor. I brought it to there attention it has been acknowledge but nothing done. Dryer vents most need replacing, sprinkler heads need adjusting they water more sidewalk then grass. And not sure why i got such a negative when trying to request another carport. Seems you have to be special in sone way i know a couple of situations where individuals have two carports together. One parks their vehicle across the two carports. So nice place to live if you are special in some way.
marcee kuzniak: I have lived here 10 years and I'm very happy living here. When something goes wrong 1 phone call and they take care of any problem. I had a woodpecker problem and they fixed it promptly. The landscape is always nicely done. They plow the parking lot every time it snows. Cable included. Pretty quiet and mostly nice people .
Nick Blank: Northwood Hills is an incredible place. My wife bought a condo 4-1/2 years ago and then I officially moved in after we got married in June of 2018. The area is quiet, the neighbors are friendly, the pool and hot tub are very nice, and the facilities are maintained with the highest level of care. The location is second to none. It is close to Knapps Corner (East Beltline), Northland Drive and Plainfield Drive.We are moving out in the next month to move to a house. I cannot be more grateful for our time at Northwood Hills. Thank you to everyone that keeps this place as nice as it is. It will remain one of my favorites places in the Grand Rapids area.
Benjamin Hagen: Up until 4 months ago i was very happy with this place. Bi-laws state that condos on 2nd and 3rd floors cannot have hard wood floors expect in kicthens and bathrooms. Well the paper goverment that is the assocation does not do anything about as my upstairs neighbor put in hard floors in the dinning area and hallway and you can hear every foot step and converstation they have! You can hear the same drawer being opened 400 times a day and i sware they drop something daily. I gave complained 100 times nothing has or will be done. Condo is for sale as i can no longer relax in my own home! Call if you want a cheap home!

Victoria Butler: Moved here in late spring hoping for a clean quiet second home in the city. We are very happy with the choice of this condo over a house. Everything is maintained as we hoped, neighbors that we have met are friendly & welcoming. So nice to have no outside maintenance & the convenience of a laundry & storage in the building. Pool & hot tub plus covered parking are a bonus.
