I was accused of domestic violence and I was refused any physical contact right at the beginning of the Covid epidemic. Since then two years have gone by and my child has had nothing but parental alienation brainwashing until finally I get to talk to her (while being supervised for $50/ hour) and she won’t say one word to me or answer any question I ask her. Every week for two months this has happened and I am feeling defeated. Prosecuting attorneys and judges have not even looked at the bogus claims versus the evidence. They are just choosing the safe route or the laws they are upholding are designed to favor parental alienation regardless of The mismatch story given by the X and repeated by the child compared to what the investigation has found. Either they are doing a lousy job in court or don’t care about the truth nor destroying a family. I do not think it is easy for them, but they need to put more attention to each case to find the truth.

Jen Dockery: Treated very poorly by a male judge here. I was fighting a parking ticket. I am from Chicago and the amount of tickets you get there is understandable because there’s nowhere to park. Being a new GR resident, I parked outside of my house and I was within two feet of a driveway and received a ticket. There were no signs stating otherwise. He clearly thought I was wasting his time and was very rude to me. Regardless of the verdicts, I witnessed him talk down to 3 women (1 including me) in the 45 minutes I was present in the courtroom. I am new to this city and it saddens me, after being all over the world, that male chauvinism is alive and well here in West Michigan.

Bridget Richardson: Went for an eviction hearing with Judge David J.Buter , requested an emergency eviction because I did not feel safe with other party in home. Judge Buter stated he did not believe it was called for , and a few days later that party physically assaulted and hospitalized someone in the home which could’ve been avoided if my cry for help was taken seriously. If Judges did not have immunity , I’d definitely sue . I’ll write this review on EVERY website so any and everyone knows how this judge will disregard major concerns to get on with his day. Shame on you Judge David J.Buter

Ty: Terrible procedures, decisions are made before you even get a chance to explain yourself, Magistrate was condescending and did not care much for what I had to say. Quick money for them and if you want to dispute a ruling you must drive to the courthouse and wait in line (according to the lady I spoke with over the phone). You had 7 days to dispute from ruling date I received the formal notification on the 6th day so clearly couldn’t change my work day to dispute again. You’re welcome for helping meet your quota. 🗑

Terra Christians: I went to contest a ticket for disregarding a steady yellow signal. I understand that the law states that if you can stop safely do so. I don’t believe I could with the conditions on that day in December. I was told yellow light means stop by the magistrate. This was purely about a money transaction not the law. It didn’t matter what I said. I feel their mind was made up before I walked in. So in the future when I slam on my breaks for yellow lights I apologize to all those behind me unless of course it is The magistrate or cop that issued the ticket.

Jackie Beltz: With actual proof, things I had to go pick up and get and make copies of that supported my case. Was never considered or looked at. We were dismissed between 5 and 8 mins. Judge said have your lawyers handle it. This has been said too many times. I thought the justice system was to protect children rights and keep them safe. Court is just a money making revolving door. Pay for the order pay for the copies no one looks at but if you don't have you look bad. Pay for a lawyer, just to do it again. The judges only give you tops at the most 10min to plead your case because they took way too many that day and well have dinner plans. That money you just spent selling your things and barrowing from family, working 12 hour days just to give the kids a chance and have your case not heard because your judge repeatedly doesn't want to do there job. How is this fair? How?

Kelsey pliml: I was subpoenaed today as a witness to a robbery and it cost me $20 to Uber to the court house and when I asked for reimbursement they refused. When I said that I was only there for 2 minutes and it wasn’t worth my time or money the prosecutor threatened me by saying “I could make you stay longer”. These horrible people have no concern for the people who committed the crime OR the victims as long as they get paid. It’s disgusting. And the security when I entered and asked for directions were appallingly rude and disrespectful until I said I was a witness to a crime and not the one getting prosecuted and then they apologized and pointed me in the right direction. I’m disgusted by this court house and how they treat the people who come in. Literally appalled. These people are the real criminals.

Trevor Gregory: I was on active duty military orders and was ticketed for having my tabs expire while I was gone and I got back and was driving on a Sunday and was ticketed for that. I went that next day to show I had gotten them renewed and the officer made the ticket non waive able. And I wrote s letter to the majesty of the court and I'm still considered responsible for paying the ticket of $135

Angela Long: My experience with 63rd district court was surprisingly pleasant. From the security guard at entry to the gentleman to the left of the secuity guard, everyone was nice. There was a elderly security guard on duty for one visit that was just a bit grouchy. 63rd disrict court found a gem with Kayla(spelling). She was non judgemental, and so kind. She went out of her way to help me, I was in need of a very old file that has been archived. She took my info, and called me when the file was found. Kayla stood out because she was so kind, seemed to be geniunely enjoy helping; which unfortunately is rare nowadays.

Hannah D: Literally called 23 times to try to get important information from the clerk. On the 24th call I finally got to speak with someone and she was extremely rude and unhelpful. I was calling during normal hours.

John Jackson: I heard two women and a man speaking at a bar. One of the two women was married and having an affair with the other women. The man asked if you two are in love why doesn't the women leave her husband so you don't have to hide it? My initial reaction was that the husband was violent and maybe she feared to leave him. But i heard the man ask if the husband was a bad person and the women having affair said, no, i just dont love him. Then the other women said, I have a decent attorney and we are going to wait until she gets pregnant then she will leave him and divorce him and force the ex-husband to pay for the child through the Court. It's really tragic what this system can inspire those who abuse it and get away with it. There has to be a better way.

Michael Dickerson: Ive been waiting on a call from a supervisor/case manager for 2 weeks when i was told it would be 2-3 business days. They hire rude people, and even their best customer focused people are incompetent. How you going to not let the person talk at all and then put them on hold only to tell them lies? This is Kent county FOC at its finest! Even the court people are crooks. My wife has worked at the court many times as a guest and she knows what goes on behind the scenes. 100% biased staff to say the least. Wish this could be fixed, but it just keeps getting worse!

A T: Wish zero stars were an option. Having wrongfully been taking child support for the past 3 months despite opting out of their "services" altogether. They do not follow legal documents and take money they are not supposed to because that is how they earn a paycheck. Staff is incompetence and rude. Whether by phone or email you will always get a different answer and then no follow up to solve the problem. Since they don't follow legal documents, it would seem they are able to just continue to try to ruin amicable divorces by making their own rules. An absolute dumpster fire.

MR SUNSHINE: If you are a guy forget it. They are racist and biased and brush off evidence. Hope one day these evaluators go through a race diversity class because not everyone is white and you cannot base your judgments on race.

Daniel Disbrow: After having my child for a year and supposed to be done paying support I still get messages telling me I need to pay. I have received full custody and my taxes were taken to cover anything I owed. When I call to find out why I magically owe money again for a child I have full legal and physical custody of, the excuse is about a fee added in January. So how do you take my tax money and not cover that in the first place? Also curious how a fee is even added when I had my child through this time period? So when I want an answer I get the same line constantly and hung up on when I say I need a transfer to the case worker. I have had nothing but issues from kent county and I am curious if they are ever going to stop treating all fathers like trash. Especially given the fact I have custody in the first place.

Premium Kicks: I am accused of things by someone who makes false police reports and is accused of several things that has to do with finances in a negative way. The FOC seems to believe what they say and won't talk to me or return phone calls to clarify the things I am being falsely accused of. I am extremely bummed that FOC goes on what non creditable people say verses those who have facts. I pray I am given the opportunity to clarify what is going on. I have been held back from the schedule from the judges order by the same person and they don't get any repercussions from not letting me have the happiness of the judges agreement. It seems the other person is in 1000000 percent control of the judge. I have been seeing a counselor because of all of this and she is unable to make progress also with FOC. I am very bummed with all those within the system that tell me how broken the system is. Your the ones who can make a difference. I pray things change and I am able to follow the judges orders and those who don't obey will face consequences. But after the past 3 years I am not sure what will change at this point in time. I have done more then all I can. Now it is on the system and I pray that someone sees this and is willing to put forth the effort to make the difference I am told I will recieve. I am heart broken by the fact that someone could be treated how I have been. No one should ever have to do this for so long. It isn't healthy at all.

John Myers: Got referred to the FOC 4 times by a judge while my daughter was in a shelter with mom. 15,000 in attorney fees later and 5,000 in support i finally got my daughter. I got custody then the FOC still made me pay the mom child support of 350 a month. After the foc worker wrote a fraudulent report. This went on for 2 years. Finally after I was going to sue the whole FOC office they finally dropped support. This should not be allowed and should never happen to anyone. Men should not have to fight this hard for there kids our system is broken.
