Prometric Testing Center: what do users think?
Kristen Hasbrouck: The staff do everything they can to make testing go as well as possible, but the location is understaffed and there is a lot going on. Because of understaffing check in is really slow. I arrived 45 minutes before my exam was supposed to start and they still started my test nearly 30 minutes late. There were multiple technical issues with my tests and it was really distracting having so much constantly going on and people constantly coming and going. I don't blame the staff that were there - again, they really tried to do everything they could to help me, but the experience was terrible and the set up is not conducive to testing success.
Noah Marckwardt: Took my first test here today was a little skeptical with all the negative reviews. Waiting room is small but all the employees were nice and helpful! Email says to get in 30mins prior for exam I had to take so I got there about 45mins early and started my test a little early which was nice. Didn't have to wait long at all. Overall pleased with this visit I will be back to take a few more exams.
Michele Hielkema-Dietiker: their phone number doesn't work.
Megan Burcham: Tiny, not enough waiting or break space or bathrooms. Staff are not only rude but also racist. Staff insisted arrival time was earlier and I read them the entire email and they told me I was wrong. Check in is horribly slow and even getting there early you will probably start your test late.
William Finnicum: My exam was cancelled and automatically rescheduled for 3 weeks earlier. When I called there was a busy signal.
Jay Kadlec: Tested here 3 times now and they do a great job of security, quietness, and professionalism. Only critique is they keep it a little too much on the cold side temperature wise but it’s not a problem enough for star removal…just recommend test takers to wear a couple layers and long pants.
Brittany Le Gwen: I could hear the staff talking the entire time I took my exam which is not the case in any other prometric I've been to. At one point I could hear the receptionist break out loudly laughing. It was super distracting and the "noise cancelling" headphones they have don't work and don't fit a woman's head.
Anna Welch: I showed up for my test, and it was cancelled with no previous notice. I drove 2.5 hours to get there, and I was furious!! This place has no right to be operating under such incompetent leadership. The least they could do is notify us ahead of time. I am really hoping that I am able to reschedule because I need to take this test to apply for grad school. Very unfortunate!!!
Mike Welch: This place is a joke, showed up at 7:30am for a test that was canceled with no forewarning at all. 30 other people were all in the same boat, some came from out of state or Detroit to take tests. From the looks of the other reviews this has been a problem for awhile now and they somehow still don't have a system in place to let test takers know that the test is canceled before hand (let alone find emergency employees to proctor the tests). Moral of the story is, if you want to take a test in Grand Rapids I would recommend doing it online if possible, and if you have the spirit of an entrepreneur but no good ideas, I would recommend opening a testing center in Grand Rapids.
Justin Terry: My wife had a test here this morning. She was told the test was canceled when she showed up and that they had sent out emails yesterday. No one there that showed up with my wife received an email. It is Saturday and now my wife can't reschedule all weekend because her access code is still locked to this appointment. Looks like this has happened before, a review 3 weeks ago said the same thing...
ryan ladere: Third time rescheduling. They have almost no staff, the phone numbers keep you on hold indefinitely, takes weeks to reschedule and they lock your access key for a week after they cancel on you. They wait until you show up to tell you that you're not gonna get to take your exam. I signed up for four CPA exams within 6 months and now I have 4 months to take them all. I doubt I'll get to sit for two at this rate. I don't think it's possible to get any worse unless they refuse to extend my testing time window or refund me. If I can't get certified only because the dedicated testing facilities are unreliable, it might be time to talk to legal council. There's literally no other way to schedule with a different organization. I'm not sure what the parameters of a class action lawsuit might be but it might be worth the study. What else would I study for anyway?
Mitchell Gillissie: Showed up at 7:15AM for the CPA exam and there was only one proctor at the testing center. NASBA requires two proctors in order for CPA candidates to take an exam section. The second proctor never showed and they were unable to get a replacement. My exam, along with 15 other people, was cancelled. Not a good look.
Ty Rock: Terrible testing agency, been here 5+ times and did not have issues. Upon my latest visit, I was told to get here at 7:30am with a test time at 8am. I did not get in just to process my identity until 8:30. I was then asked if my hearing aids were Bluetooth, they are hearing aids, I wore them every single time and had no issues. I was then asked to step aside for another 30 minutes while the boss made a decision. I was asked to take them out or can’t take the test. For me to take them out would have been such a big deal that would have been a major change in surroundings that would have been a distraction. I tried to tell the one person working that I had them in with no issues the previous times but to no change in empathy or professionalism. On top of the really inefficient bookkeeping and lack of time management, I was disappointed that I was singled out due to being hard of hearing and not allowed to take a test. Wouldn’t recommend here to anyone because it’s a waste of your time.
Malav Parikh: My test was cancelled the morning of without any notification. About 20 of us waiting in the parking lot had no idea what was going on. Lady came out to parking lot 30 minutes after the scheduled start time to tell us it was cancelled. No email or phone notification. The center was closed for issues the previous day so this is something they already knew about. Then had to call Prometric headquarters and wait for over an hour to get rescheduled. Very unprofessional.
Adrienne Aardema: My test was canceled the morning of with no explanation.
James Vaughn: Very professional. Very organized.
Nathan Dudash: Not sure why there are so many 1-star reviews, but I had only a positive experience with Prometric. The staff was courteous and friendly, the environment was clean, and everyone was professional. When I schedule my next upcoming exams, I'll absolutely be coming back to this Prometric.
Ken: It’s been three weeks since my exam failed to load due to a system issue. I drove from out of town to take the test on a Saturday morning. I sat for 4 hours, and I understand that things happen, but things have progressively gotten worse. What I’m frustrated with now is the lack of follow-up to get me taken care of. I’m showing as a no-show with the state because I was given a ticket number and sent out the door. I’ve emailed, filled our the form “twice”, called, waited on hold for hours, and spoke to someone who has not followed back up. I’m now three weeks without earning income. My test would have given me the pass/fail onsite. I’ve attempted to pay for my test out of pocket again, and I’m told I cannot till Prometric takes care of the issue on the back end. My ticket number is 02231068. I would appreciate someone working it and getting ahold of me with my contact info on file.
Frank Wells: Very nice place and the young lady Caitlin who handled everything was exceptionally professional and equally as nice, I have been to several testing centers, this was the best by far
David Zuber: Trying to take test and there is some fan or something making an annoying noise. Was scolded about my mask off my nose but smae person had no problem spending a lot of time within 6 feet of me doing something to stations right next to me.
Tristan Williams: I've been on the phone for 1.5 hours and still nothing....worst customer service around by far

Pearson Professional Center: what do users think?
Sara W: The worst scheduling experience. And zero customer service with no way to contact them.
Hamid Reza Kohan Ghadr: The worst experience I ever had. The online Pearson VUE is horrible. They hold me waiting for 2 hours and I had to disconnect due to another online event and I lost the test. I strongly suggest to avoid registering for Pearson VUE tests.
Jacob C (MI 10-30-20): Convenient and easy to locate. Convenient nearby parking.
Roshel Wagner: At first it may be confusing if you are in the right place, The first doors will be labeled as the hotel but once you are inside the building is easy to navigate.
Kelli Moran: I was nervous about scheduling a nerve wracking exam at a place with one star rating. I am SO GLAD I tested here. The staff wasn’t just professional and courteous. They were genuinely kind and caring. I will be scheduling the rest of my exams at this location. Both the lady at the reception and the gentleman proctoring the exam had a calming affect and I appreciated their hospitality in that moment. 11 out of 10 - Would recommend

janka brenisinova: I made the right decision to go study an English language to ELS Grand Rapids , MI. The management and teachers at ELS Grand Rapids were highly professional, friendly and helpful. The lessons were very interesting, interactive and fun. The mix of nationalities & age groups within the classroom provided me valuable experiences. I look forward to returning to ELS school again soon. Jana from Slovakia

Sami Alsharari: One of the most beautiful centers to teach English including their interesting activities. Also, the center has great teachers.
김휘래: ENG: I don't know how much great time I've taken at ELS Center. I met Super NICE TEACHERS and wonderful various nationalities of friends. A student can learn English easily and has a chance to speak English with a lot of activities. Also, ELS students can join GVSU club activities and they can make GVSU students easily. If you chose this center, I'll bet you'll like it.KOR:
Slava Semenenko: I had looked for english school for long time in the whole world, New Zealand, Canada, Great Britain, US but I chose ELS. I found a lot of benefits for example free public transport in Grand Rapids for students, free gym(huge choice of activities), safe place.
Fatima Ahmad: It was pleasure for me to be student at ELS Language Center. It’s a wonderful place where you can learn English as second language. Also, it’s a good place to make a lot of friendships from many different countries, and you can there learn about many cultures and you can do many activities to help you strengthen your language.
Navarole E.: ELS Grand Rapids is a pleasant setting not only to learn English but also to fit more easily into American life. The quality of teaching is excellent, teachers and staff are available, welcoming, and kind. Several extracurricular activities to help you improve your English and have fun at the same time. This center is a good place to learn English, have fun, and make good friends. I have really enjoyed studying there for three months.
Thamer Albagami: ELS-Grand Rapids is not only a great English language institute but also a superb productive environment to pursue and refine all your academic and communication skills. The management, teachers and students are all responsible and respectful people. Also, Grand Valley campus is a plus. The teachers are really productive and their goal is to make you write and speak comfortably with English. For that being said, ELS-GR teachers are experts in making the class room an interactive place for learning by doing a lot of activities and games. They are also ready to help their students in every manner including their living in the U.S and their applications for higher education. What you get when you come to ELS-GR. You will have monthly basis sessions of English. In each session, you will have assorted English classes (i.e grammar, reading, writing and vocabulary). The classes are real sciences oriented so you’ll learn a lot more but in English. For example, in higher levels you may have classes like economics or philosophy but the English is dissolved in the topic so it’s fun. A bit more than that, research skills are taught in ELS to get you ready for the university. You will also have a lot of fun in the weekly activities like bowling, skiing, lake activities and a lot more. Finally, guess what? You’ll have an access to the most of the Grand Valley State University facilitates like the library and the gym.The bottom line is, if you want to learn English in an effective way, get engaged with people and in activities, experience a good journey in America then ELS-GR is your place to go.I graduated from ELS-GR in Oct, 2018 and I believe it was a wise decision to go to ELS-Grand Rapids before college.
