Spectrum Health Butterworth Adult Emergency Room: what do users think?
K D: CoreHELL! Only go here if you want to die because this place doesn’t give any flucks about anyone but themselves.
David Miller: + 1 Star - Closest to my home.+ 1 Star - Dr St John was good, honest, and straight forward.+ 1 Star - Lauren (The Nurse) was funny and helped ease my mind.+ 1 Star - Got a cool knee stabilizer.- 1 Star - Lauren (Same Nurse) did not laugh at all my jokes.4/5 Stars for this visit. Overall excellent.
Gina Rios: Super fast and nurses are so nice!
Gabby Love: The doctors are impatient and very rough.
Nicholas Martin: Having been a hospital trauma counselor, I know that ERs often look disorganized and frenzied to the general public. The ambulance brought my wife to Butterworth ER where she was immediately seen and asked all the correct questions in reference to exceedingly high blood pressure issues post surgery. The nurses were cordial and efficient as well as ready to receive information and questions from me even while caring for my wife and several other patients at the same time. The doctors immediately placed a page to my wife’s surgeon who did surgery on her last week in Lansing, being able to then consult with him about her case! Immediately, scans and tests were ordered and performed with due haste, blood was taken, iv was started. I wish I remembered the names of staff so I could thank them personally. Tyler was an exceptional nurse who gave exceptional care with understanding and treatment of my wife not only as the patient, but as a person. ERs are wild places to work as staff and to be as a patient. We sincerely thank the staff for their exceedingly fine care which prevented a worse scenario from occurring for my wife. They were busy, yes, very busy, which to many might seem disorganized or uncaring; however, they were there in the room when needed hour after hour. And while the ER looks like it needs to be updated, looks don’t count! It’s how the staff saves lives by taking the most critical cases first. That’s where they did their job for us as needed in the midst of ER frenzy! Thank you to the ER staff at Butterworth!!!
Hector Andrade: This ER has really gone downhill, 1-3 hour wait times, and the ER waiting area keeps getting smaller and smaller.
Idalis Pagan: Horrible wait times. You might as well just take your chances at home.
Alisha Lightning: Doctor Bushman,is very judgemental, really un professional, how she talk to your patients, she makes them feel less then,it like what u r feeling is not that important, discharge with no care n talked down to..But through out my bad time..Nurse lindsey, and the ultrasound tech was the total opposite..and thank you ladies
brandon beimers: They saw my needs and eased my pain. Fantastic Drs and nurses. Highly recommend.
Cynthia McFarland: Butterworth emergency is a joke they treat patients like numbers and my son could of bled out by the time they got to him this is totally unacceptable health care
Marie: Very dismissive of pain
Fernando Christian Hempe: MisdiagnosedNurse practitioner no doctor in duty
Caitlin Weible: I came in with a dislocated elbow and was very scared and in a ton of pain. The nurses were incredible at comforting me and making sure I was taken care of. Mind you, this was with a full ER and they were already trying to juggle so many people. The Ortho doctor came in and explained exactly what they were going to do They treated my elbow and sent me off in a sling. I can not thank the entire staff enough. I did need to wait about half an hour in the waiting room as there were people coming in that needed to be seen more urgently than me. This was expected especially with the medical staff shortage going on right now.
NaQuisha Smith: Every single time I have to come here for some reason, they're always moving like I/we don't have an emergency. It always takes so long, and they'll skip over you and just let you sit if you don't speak up. If you do speak up, don't show agitation cause they feel threatened.
Chloe France: This emergency room is so slow. Thank God I am not dying,. I would have already been dead.
Jessica Cook: I can honestly say I felt violated here. They knew they were going to have to put an iv in for medication. But first they have a phlebotomist come and do labs. Which is completely fine. But why not have them do the iv then and there?Half hour later a nurse comes in and uses the blood pressure cuff to start the iv. Not the normal tourniquet. I told the person I am very hard to start an iv on.My arms look like I was beat because of all the poking and fishing. Finally he called for someone else for the final poke. Saw the er doctor twice to which he said if I came in without a different doctor telling me to and calling the er order he would never have treated me (which infact I do have an infection in an open incision.)And I'm just going to mention the fact that being 1 week post op- having organs ( yes multiple) I had to park and walk myself in because otherwise it would be a 10 to 15 minute wait for someone to do it. But I couldn't wait there I'd have to move just in case.I called customer relations- they said we will take your feed back but staffing issues are staffing issues- sorry.
Sheila Ring Shiflet: Had out patient surgery..Valet parking..in and out..I like this hospital!!
Ashley Shettles: This is the worst ER I have ever been to. Just stay away if at all possible!
Nancy Brandt: I would love to take this opportunity to thank the doctors, nurses, social workers, cleaning staff , and food service personnel for all of the excellent service, and care provided to my brother John Grove. The Heart ❤ 5 floor was more than we ever expected. Excellent team of doctors. The Lung transplant team never gave up on John and neither did the infectious control doctors. John's nursing staff were outstanding as well. Thank you all for making John's passing a little easier for him. You are all superstars!!!!! ❤
Sarah Burch: We came in at 3 am for some pregnancy related issues. Everyone was kind, fast, and considerate.
Jennifer Rapelje: Got sent from an urgent care to this ER, kidney stone with possible obstruction and sat in the waiting room for 2.5hrs. Kept being told the area I would be taken to had no beds so they offered nothing. No pain meds, water, anything. Never again

Spectrum Health Blodgett Hospital Emergency Department: what do users think?
Jimi Arizola: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!If you love being treated like garbage and having eyes rolled at you this is the place for you!
kory jannereth: Just a money grab! US health care is terrible!
Skylar Donahue: My boyfriend had a amputation and somehow they couldn’t do much for him or even get him a appointment with a specialist he’s been in serious pain and is getting worse to where he might have to get more cut off this hospital is useless
Alisha Lightning: After I left Butterworth hospital having a bad experience, hoping to get treated better ,no different..I can say All nurses are very kind hearted and care..But after 2 er visits for a total of 7 hours,no results, sent home feeling the same way.And it hurts my feelings knowing, that it was a waste of my time..and the total amount bad experiences with spectrum, I will no longer be a patient, or trust the care here ever again.Stop judging your patients..
Sue Brouwer: If you have an issue with any kind of mental health or addiction crisis this is the last place you want to go!The only thing they want to do is get you in and out of there as quickly as possible provide no resourcesand no observation for the petson in crisis. It is difficult enough to get someone in this state into an ER and they will discharge you even if you have informed them the person is a threat tobthemselves or others. Do yourself a favor and go to St Mary's where they will actually treat you and not pass judgement and move on. This person did injure someone 2 days later which all could have been prevented if they had even tried to do their job. JUST DON’T GO HERE.
Naomi Price: Excellent people, Excellent service. Very grateful to the staff of this hospital.
A G: Going to the ER is never anyone’s first choice and how you’re treated matters. I was truly grateful for the kindness of the nurses and doctors who treated me. They were incredibly busy and despite having to be treated in the hallway, they couldn’t have made me more comfortable - warm blankets, ice packs, ear plugs, constantly checking on me, etc. My results and treatment were explained clearly to me and I left knowing what to expect. Thank you to the amazing ER team at Blodgett!
Anneke Venhuizen: Prompt service and really kind, helpful providers. Nurse Hilary and doctor nick were great and helped me through a difficult diagnosis with kindness and professionalism. Definitely coming here next time I have an emergency-worthy issue.
Don Jackson: Not a good place to trust an elderly persons stay. They want to put every old person in an nursing home rehab..no matter what good care theyhave at home. Do not trust that a rehab will be in your best interest for your loved one. Been there done that..they do not take care of anyone well.
Todd Sanfilippo: Coughing up blood since last night called Dr first thing this morning told me to be at the er by 12 15 I show up at 12 and have been here waiting since its now 4:50 pm and I have yet to be seen I can barely breathe and like I said am coughing up blood apparently that's not a issue though cause Sally that came in complaining of a headache has already been seen worst place ever just want to know why I'm coughing up blood
Nicole Yowish: If I could give a no star, I would. I went in for chest pain that moved to my back, and felt faint walking to the room when I finally got called in 2 hrs after waiting, dr artz had barely checked me out, only checked my lungs with a stethoscope, and stood by the door the entire time. ( she was in there literally a minute) I got discharged after 1 minute of being seen, and 2 hrs of waiting with a diagnosis of “back pain”. My mother and sister also have very bad experiences in this department
Wander Martich: Seam like they didn’t care one bit that you were there. Didn’t do any exams and send me home. Later a home I almos passed of a pain in my chest and had to call the ambulance
Hillbilly Sonya: The good people there
kaitlyn hardy: Superfast and Polite
Evan Kearney: Very professional and thorough
Kollin: Came in 3 ahead with signs of a blood clot. I was told to go to er. I sat here 3 or 4 in total ahead clocked in at 1 at 2;30 there are 12 of us in the lobby and nobody has moved since 1:45 I guess we will find out if it was a blood clot/ pe in the lobby while waiting with copd. Covid really sucks and I know staff are under stress buuuut people need to feel taken care of and it's not here. Shortly there will be less than 3 feet apart
Jim Edgar: I was sick for 3 days had to go in on a Saturday night they did a super job. Taken care of right away. They found the problem and checked me for covad all goodThank them for being there for all of us. GREAT JOB.
Joni Kelly: I received care in the ER and it was horrid! I came by ambulance with cardiac issues. And it took over 2 hours to get assistance. They were rude to me when I asked for a room. And the Doctor was not professional or caring. I get that everyone has bad days. But, the quality of patient care and concern is very low. I asked one nurse why it has gotten so bad care. She said it’s the homeless and drug addicts abusing the system. I was shocked by her response!! She said it unfortunate but they’re are on edge and suspicious of everyone. I’m not homeless or on drugs. I never asked for anything for pain. I was sent there by my Cardiologist after being in urgent care for 5 hours. That entire hospital needs better training in quality of care of All patient including education, hospitality & compassion because they had none.
Michelle Baggett: I came because of severe pain. I got 2 prescriptions 1 makes me sick to the stomach and the other my insurance doesn't cover. I called them to let them know and I was informed by the nurse that just take some otc meds instead. I am very appalled because if otc worked I would've never come there. I'm in so much pain I keep vomiting to get rid of the pain.she stated that she. Didn't. Have time to deal with me and my issue.. She needs to be fired
LOVE FAITH-HOPE: Hello to Dr Marty Freeman. Thanks for helping me with my emergency . Your Christian faith was very evident and reassuring. 🌍😀🏄🎾⚾🏖️🏈⛪

Emergency Care Specialists: what do users think?
Matthew Friar: I have never receive an invoice or have any record of using this business. I’ve received no communications from anyone, however in mid-February they filed a collection claim for $213 against me. It is illegal to send someone to collections that has never used you or received a bill.
Ryan S: These people are liars with no integrity
Gabrielle Haaraoja: ECS is a compassionate group of physicians. They work tirelessly to provide high-quality care to the communities they serve.Very grateful to have them in Grand Rapids.
Michael Craven: Never heard of this place til I got a bill in from them.. definitely a scam.
David Mansuri: I see in credit karma a collection report form them for 2 years a go. I have not recive any bill and It is hard for me to remember that I was there or not . we moved to Texax last year.
Mariah Vela: I’ve never even went to this place before but it’s being reported on my credit. I’ve called and been hung up on 3 times already with NO answer!
Phil R: My daughter had an emergency. And I'm not sure if it was someone here or on 911 but they where horrible.Regardless, i have insurance and Medicaid and they still sent my bill to collections without calling me or emailing me first so my credit went from 780 to 635 because they can't do their jobs correctly. If 911 emergency sends you here make sure they do their billing correctly or they will cause problems.I will update this if they remember this derogatory Bill from my credit report.
hannah elizabeth: Nothing about this business is professional. I would encourage Spectrum Health to seek elsewhere for emergency care providers. This company makes it impossible to get ahold of them (call during their business hours and you are told “we are currently training representatives, call back later” or “ we are sorry, no customer representatives are available, leave your name, patients name, account number, and the best time to reach you” and then it HANGS UP and you are unable to leave a message! Absolutely the worst customer care I have ever experienced. And when I finally do get ahold of them, they don’t send mail out for nearly 3 weeks. I send them mail back the same day (via USPS) and once again, 3 weeks for them to reply. They will do anything to wear you down and pay your pointless medical bills. Look at the other reviews on here. It explains itself. This company is a scam that is taking advantage of those who don’t know better. The “medical provider” that’s charging me $591, I never even saw.
Jon Quist: Sounds like a scam. They sent a bill for an er visit that I have no idea how they are involved with. And they marked it "final notice" when they hadn't sent any previous notices.Makes me think that some fake doctors office is tricking people into paying them.
Joel Medina: $871.00 billed for a "supervising ER doctor" that LITERALLY spent 45 SECONDS with my son (at the end of our emergency visit) to allow us to leave. oh, he offered my son a slushie - I guess that makes it all better. Spectrum Health/ DeVos Children's Hospital should be ashamed to work with this unethical company.
Philip Jones: Received a bill for my wife's ER visit over three months after her visit. I paid it same day I received it in the mail. Received a debt collections notice less than three weeks from the date it was paid. Called their office several times, only to be sent to voicemail. When I finally got a person to answer, they were very rude and would not tell me anything about whether or not the account was paid for or not. Very difficult to get any helpful response, but eventually they confirmed it was paid, though they wouldn't explain why I was sent a collections notice or why I didn't receive the bill until after three months. They also called my wife the same day the notice came in the mail, AND ASKED FOR PAYMENT WITHOUT TELLING WHO THEY WERE OR WHAT THEY PAYMENT WAS IN REGARDS TO!
Jim Green: If I could give this company a negative star review I would do it with out thinking twice. We received a bill in the mail from the ER. You can’t speak with anyone, you have to leave a message and you continually get the same run around. Now my bill in collections because they didn’t send it through my insurance company. Ridiculous joke of a company, I refuse to go to any Hospital that deals with this company. I’m disgusted.
Hunter Mueller: I am surprised how high their rating is. I you want your bill lowered to a reasonable amount you sent a letter stating you should have a lower bill. They don't respond to the polite letters, they throw them in the garbage or they just can't read. Going on 5 months now.
Marvin Heyboer: Can't get a bill. We moved in 2016 and they can't get our address changed. I can't submit a bill to secondary insurance until I get a bill and I can't give them an account # if I don't have the bill.
Jessica Llewellyn: Terrible. I went to DeVos Children's hospital when my 6 week old baby had RSV DeVos is in network with my insurance company. Well that particular Dr that saw my daughter was not in network with my insurance. Now we are left with $700 bill and they are unwilling to work with us. I can't help in an emergency situation who sees my daughter. They need to accept all the insurances at the hospitals they choose to work with accept. I will now be screening every Dr that comes into my room when I am at Spectrum Health and any ECS physician will not be allowed to touch us.
Merry Zerlaut: Good luck getting hold of someone on the phone. The only option is to leave a message. I purposefully only left my name and number. I have a bill that I'm trying to pay and the address is for a doctor's office in Chicago. I'm in Michigan, the same area of the ER I was seen. Not going to send payment there. A couple hours later, I received a call back from Gabby and she took care of my bill and contacted the collection agency to have it listed paid in full. I was leery at first but ended up pleasantly surprised. Bill is paid and the receipt was emailed to me while we were still on the phone. Gabby rocks!!
Ashley Harrington: I have been dealing with a $50 bill that they sent to collections without ever being notified about it. The only way I found out about it was I saw it on my credit report! I've been trying for a month now to get someone on the phone bc my current insurance will take care of it, but they won't call me back!
Lauren Sellers: Fantastic, hard working providers with an array of specialties and continued education. Excellent company to work with and my first choice for Emergency Care for my family.
matthew: Received a bill that says ECS Western Michigan on it like I'm supposed to know what that means. Good thing Google is around to help out. Then I read this bill to see it was $800 to get less than 10 minutes with a doctor... and to top it off, you better be ready with the money because you get 30 days before collections is looking for you.
missylyss: Awful awful awful. I've been dealing with their billing department for 3 months to resolve their errors. I get multiple bills for statements I've already paid and wrong amounts.
Victor McBride II: I went to the Spectrum Health emergency room and they billed an old insurance carrier saying I owed almost $400. When I contacted them I gave them my current insurance that Spectrum health had anyway but failed to to give it to Emergency care specialists. When it was billed again with the correct amount I was sent one notice then sent to collections over a $30 bill. If I had no intention on paying anything I would of never had called in the first place. If you want to avoid these people you need to avoid Spectrum health. These are there doctors they contract out to for emergency room services.

Trinity Health Saint Mary's - Grand Rapids Emergency Room: what do users think?
Alissa Thomas: Was at the er for 5 hours all me and my son was waiting on is our discharge papers
William Holden: This hospital is filthy. The nurses are extremely rude and the doctors have zero compassion. Riley Doonan is a horrible nurse in training. I will be reporting this all to LARA. Shame on this hospital. My mother's hospital bed was filthy and her sheets were covered in grease. They let her lay with no care for 2 hours. I would rather die than be brought to this facility.

Thank you Trinit Health Hospital for the good treatment and excellent care for the patient. Thank you to the insurance company and thank you to America. May God protect America and make it safe and strong forever. God bless America.Oh God, help us to return the favor to those who have done good to us MOHAMED YESLEM BABA
June Boelema: I came in emergency by ambulance and the staff that helped me were very friendly. The Drs. On call were very explainable on what was going to happen. I had a little wait time but not long. Then they took me to the ICU floor. And I had friendly staff. Especially a lady named Michelle. I'm not sure if spelled right. She explained a lot to me. She called me ( Miracle Girl ) cause of what I went through. Thank you all.
Cora Young: Been waiting here for over an hr, and still have yet to be seen. Yes I was put into a room. But haven't seen a nurse or a doctor since getting here. Got showen to my room and that's it. Along with the one staff member who refuses to give me her name when I told her she can loose her attitude or I'm calling the higher up. At that point she goes " I'm not giving you attitude "
bruno fabbri: Worst hospital in michigan. After reading the discharge paperwork I can't believe how much staff lie about everything. They must be used to covering there behinds. My lawyer will be contacting them and will see if the people who wrote the report will sign sworn affidavits to corroborate what they wrote in report. Should be interesting to see how this goes.
Rory Rowan: Go anywhere else like your life depends on it
Jason Street: I'm a trans woman and was supposed to be admitted to Pine Rest, but was rerouted to St. Marys due to other medical conditions. I have bipolar disorder and was having suicidal thoughts. They put me in a room with cameras and made me remove all of my clothes in front of them except my underwear. They then looked down the front and back of my underwear, handed me a gown and thin blanket. They took all of my stuff without doing an inventory of what I had. Afeter that I was told to lay on the bed they put up the rails and left. I wasn't even given a call light. I felt like a prisoner trapped with only my tears to keep me company. I will never go back to St. Marys ER. Oh also the place is filthy.
Miss Deborah H, MI: I went into emergency by ambulance because I had covid. The nurses were sweet and attentive and went out of their way to help in any way they could and I wish I could remember all their names but one in particular I believe was Darcy and I have hair down to my waist and had been sick for 2 wks before I went in and bless her soul she spent 2 hrs trying to wash my hair in a little tub n combing it out.!!!!! She had to leave a couple times but came back n worked some more. They were all great. I recovered and have been home 3 wks , still some symptoms like fatigue but I cannot Express how grateful I am for these drs And nurses who put their lives on the line every day. The hospital should do everything they can to keep those that do gods healing. I also want to thank the ambulance men n women who also are so great ! Bless you all ! I pray for you all, every day.
Designated Commentator: Health Care Great. Won't let me back to the cafeteria, can only get food from a vending machine. I'm diabetic, the only choice available to me was a salad. After I purchased it, I realized it did not come with a fork, spoon or knife. So, I'm not eating a Julianne salad with my fingers. Very nice in these Covid Times.
Javier Ramirez: Bad waiting I'm sitting right now and my doctors office call here to the er because I am not feeling good my breathing is heavy I had diarrhea all night 3 times I woken up to it. They are not treating us with care they should make more room. And be a lot nicer nurses. Especially the one up front at this time.
Elnaz Kalkhoran: The most careless emergency room I ever see
katie matthews: Waited 5 hours in the waiting room ,then was told they could not take out my birth control that was causing pain and heart issues . After calling a diffrent E.R they advised me to call there ob . After speaking with them I found out not only CAN they remove it all the E.R doc had to do was send a request. Dr were very rude and just gave me excuses. 7hours later still sitting here waiting to "be worked up " as the doctor said .
Shannana Boyd: To be diagnosed with Covid and everyday is a ho and down spiral to walk into st marys hospital emergency room and go to triage for their nurse or triage person named Vicky let me know that because I have Covid their was nothing that could be done to help ease the pain I was in. So I stood up out of the wheel chair and walked out. Covid is already very strenuous on the body physically, and nothing you can do helps for vicky to be telling patients they wont get the care they need.
janay Clark: went in today literally crying in pain at about 3:30pm the wait was about 1 hour told 3 people it hurt when i sat up (needed to lay down) the bed was constantly left up, i felt ignored by my nurses and doctor was told to “losing weight might help” even though i have been fat all my life and never had this pain before I got a shot that did nothing and it felt like since i didn’t have anything they could guess off the top of their heads they were not interested in trying to figure out what was wrong i fell walking to my car from the pain and overall felt unimportant to everyone I interacted with would not recommend to anyone and I will probably end up going to a different ER in hopes of actually having something done about my pain after i made it home i called reguarding what was prescribed to me and what the shot was that I got was hung up on twice then was rushed off the phone by another lady who seemed annoyed that i was crying from the pain they didnt help with
Danyelle Freeman: Awesome nurses! Awesome Doctor Adkins!!! Very happy patient!
Heather: Where do I start? We went in for my husband's heart rate and fluttering. They hooked him up to an EKG for 5 seconds, put an IV in and sent us out to the waiting room. First off, the area where they put his IV in was dark and dingy. It did not give the feel that this place was cleaned or well maintained. My husband was not hooked up to any monitors in the waiting area and we kept seeing people come and go back to their rooms. He was there for heart issues, why was he not monitored? Finally after an hour and a half of waiting in the lobby I went to the front desk to ask if he'd be put in a room to be monitored. The nurse behind the station said he was watching him. Apparently he has X-ray eyes to be able to see what is going on.A few moments later we were taken to an ER room where they hooked him up to a monitor and left. There was a napkin and lettuce on the floor of the room. The previous occupant had McDonalds according to the garbage in the trash can, since I had to clean it up. Also found this blood on the curtain. When I pointed out the blood they said someone would be by to clean it up. Yes, with a rag instead of actually changing the curtain. My husband was admitted and stayed the night. The cardiologist came into the room the next day with the attending physician at his heels. She went to sit down and the cardiologist stormed out of the room stating he would come back when she was finished. We could hear them in the hallway, he didn't want to do her job for her and get him discharged. He wanted his own time with my husband. I have never experienced this kind of behavior before. Next, a woman came into the room and asked for our co-pay. When I asked her to bill us, she stated they normally don't do that but she'd put a note on our account. So what about the people that can't pay? What about the commitment to the poor that Saint Mary's preaches about? How is this health service? Pay your bill right now! Overall this was not a good experience from the dingy lighting, to the lack of monitoring, the uncleaned ER room, the arguing of the physicians and the demand of money. I would not recommend anyone come to Saint Mary's, and I work for this company.
Todd Frisbie: Friendly staff ,informative could be a little faster on patient status for us inpatient ones like me.
Jessica: Thank you Dr. Lee for your lack of compassion.
Anita Sengthong: I would like to do a big shout out to all the staff in the emergency department. Computers were down and it was hectic in the er and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Thank you so much for your kindness and helpfulness.Anita 😊❤
Paige Rubleski: Both times we have come here the wait has been over 3 hours. Even though no one else is here. People are getting checked in and brought back ahead of the few people waiting.

Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Emergency Room: what do users think?
leana lynn: they didn't fix none of my problems or give me any answers
Mina G: ER doctor called an attempted suicide a tantrum. Social worker sent him home.
Kailey Elaine: I come here regularly. And this is the worst experience ive ever had. The rn nurse was so mean and i tried to explain my child to her many times (me being the mother who knows her child well) but she refused to listen and then tell me they will keep her over night. I live an hour away with nothing here to keep us warm. If you wanna make people feel trapped turn the heat up.
cassie A: So my son has been having a ton of health issues, I took him here they told me he's a normal toddler. they did nothing. I found out today from my doctor that he's immunocompromised and might have leukemia so I'm not pleased at all with this hospital.
Jojo Philemon: Today I went in coz my son were having bad cold so was scared that it is Covid then I requested Covid test, the doctor came in first were very nice lady, while I was waiting for his test nurse came in saying hey guys, were told about going home??? Then Am like going without getting test which why we are here??? She was so mean and she says oooh ok let get him tested then you can go home .Now I’m regretting why I even went there , and this was the second time going here. Please do better next time😔
Avery Shears: The place is absolutely filthy. Looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. Clearly understaffed. They had 3 different dr/nurses come in and none of them had communicated - which left me with a screaming child for 45 minutes when I was meant to be discharged. Horrible experience.
Nathan Maneke: Best ER we've experienced 3 children later and world travelers. Jenna the nurse at front desk, went out of her way to make sure we were informed and taken care of. So thankful for people like her in this world.
Cherith DeVogel: I appreciate all of the help from each staff member when I brought my little girl in who was having trouble breathing. Everyone was extremely kind and acted quickly to help her. I am so grateful for each person there that helped her to not be afraid, not to mention myself as well. Thank you
Reinaldo Padua: They take a long time. I've been waiting 6 hours and they still don't give me a result
Linda Olson: I took my daughter to the er twice there both told the same thing she just needs to move her leg. Even though her pain was at a 10 losing weight pale white. At home I had to help her dress help her bathe help her to the bathroom. Finally after over 2 weeks of torture and not getting the help she needed. She got MRI and was told to go to the er. Finally we got the help she but because it took so long for a doctor to figure it out she had have surgeries procedures transferred to mary free bed. The ER is the only problem I have there she shouldn't have had to go through what she went through it was a nightmare
Tara Van: I'd give it 100 stars if I could. Absolutely amazing staff, the best emergency team I've ever seen
Amanda Wabeke: Sitting here with my daughter who has been throwing up and horrible stomach pains for 9 days now and all they can say is, we are not equipped to deal with this. What the hell is a hospital for then?
Larry Dawe: We were in Thursday and Saturday for my nieces stomach pain ,poor child layed there for 3 hrs in pain while the staff was clueless we will never go back they should be embarrassed there is no thumbs down star
Kayla Mastos: We live an hour away and had the best expierence here !! Best staff from the front desk, nurses and you could tell that the drs actually cared about the patients and didn't act like they were just another patient coming in !! Great great expierence !!
Brecken Rawson: Will never go to a Med Center! Always DeVos for my girls!
Shelby Davey: Awesome staff and quick service for our sick little man!

Spectrum Health Blodgett Hospital: what do users think?
Donals Bryant: Thank you everyone on 1st floor. So much help and even more patience!!!!
Hannah Pitcher: I had outpatient surgery here and was VERY pleased with the care I received from Amber, Alayna, Ruth, Diane, and Elli. All were extremely nice, understanding, and helped ease any nervousness I had. The doctors and anesthesia team were awesome. The registration staff left a little to be desired (they were very snappy and somewhat rude). Overall, a pretty good experience. If I had to have surgery again, I would come back.
Liz Kerwin-Wilholt: I had back surgery 4/13 and had a wonderful experience. My nurse Jessica was fantastic, great caring personality and sense of humor ;) I was made comfortable by everybody including the lab professional and all the other support staff. Good clear instructions and the ice pack they sent me home with is better than mine! Nice area for my husband to wait, reclining chairs, lockers and vending machines. I don’t want to have surgery again but if I did I would go back here!
Paxton Gray: Incredibly dismissive
Edward Dixon: Love the hospital and had both my surgeries there with no issues. The ER staff are a little rough, and they could be less rude, but overall, the care is good. The doctors are awesome, and the floor nurses are professional and compassionate. The security was good with none on their phones like some hospitals. It's an old hospital, but Spectrum has been a good experience.
Christopher Wood: They'll make you wait all day. They really don't care.
Alison Kailing: Literally everyone but one nurse abused me during my stay. Please call me. Asafp.
B K: Why changing the policies for Sickle cell anemia disease patients for some medications specially Benadryl injection...why not stopping the Benadryl pills too? Why the doctors should decide in our places what medications we should have? That's very insane since we are actually the ones who go through the pain and we know what is best for our bodies....and for me these policies concerning the Benadryl injection 💉 are stupids and the old policies should come back as they were meaning using the Benadryl injection because some people as myself can do pills.
Ron Poortenga: This review is based off my wife’s most recent stay from having hip surgery. Her first day the staff had my wife move in positions that we were told later by her therapist could have damaged her new hip. The nurses were over 2 hours late getting her pain meds to her and did not want to give her meds that would help her pain they fought us to give her meds that would help. Today we ordered dinner for her and after waiting 2 hours we were told the order never went through. The only saving Grace was a staff member named Amanda offered to pay for her to get some Panera bread, thank you so much Amanda this hospital needs more nurses like you! Overall a horrible experience for my wife at this hospital
Richard Hatkowski: Brought my wife home this past Monday after 8 days following surgery at Blodgett Hospital. Of course we're thankful for our surgeon Dr. Ryan Figg. Also want thank Dr. Kim and Dr. Modi. Nurses Janna, Rachel, Alecia, Ruth. Assistants Olga, Kenji, Brooke. Ostomy nurses Ann and Melissa. I'm sure I've left out some names. Everyone was so helpful, even nurses and assistants who weren't necessarily assigned but popped in to help from time to time answering the nurse call button. All of you were very caring for my wife and I felt like a welcomed guest. The food is very good and the room service personnel are prompt and attentive and just as caring. Can't say enough good things about Blodgett Hospital. Free parking is a plus. Thank you.
Shirley Grahek: Excellent nursing care. RNs listen and care. All staff are great. Food hot and tasty. Docs listen and treatments are appropriate. Shirley E Grahek MSN
Steve Grody: Identity crisis again. This time around it's a name that sounds like a college sophomore was involved. Not listening to staff and community, and spending wastefully
Susan Verwys: We visited the ER Dept. on 1/18/22. It was very busy and we waited for about 2 1/2 hrs. to be seen. The nurses and techs worked diligently to take care of patients. I admired their professionalism during a hectic time. The nurse assigned to my husband was was excellent. (I am sorry we cannot remember her name.) Both Dr. Bishop and Dr. Pham worked diligently to get tests ordered and communicate with my husband’s doctor. My husband was well cared for.
Riley Mitchell: I had a complication with my procedure, and I've been sitting in an ER exam room for 3 hrs. All I've been given is pain and anti nausea meds and a steroid pill. The doctor even handed my partner the examination light because he couldn't seem to see my clear injury. I even showed him photos I took
Dawn Larsen: They picked a sheet / blanket off the floor and put it on the bed ,my guy slept in his jeans for 2 days there was no tooth paste or they never told him wear it was, his bed looked like it was sat in,. the heat was at 80
Keith “Blaze” McLennan: Delivering here in a 53ft trailer is a challenge. Take your time and don’t be afraid to get out and look. They are really good at getting you unloaded asap
David Thomas: On July 1st 2021 I had a horrible motorcycle accident, ended up at Blodgett after I was transferred from Butterworth. I had a broken neck, right femur, pelvis, burst bladder, left fibula and tibula, and left forearm. Rachel was my OT and Brian was my PT but they were awesome not only for rehabilitation of my many injuries but for making me laugh and giving me the spirit and drive that I was alright. I am now stronger than I was before my accident which is my goal that drove me, crossfitting again and crushing my old Personal Bests. They showed me my accident was just a temporary bump and that I could use it to make myself a better human. Thanks Rachel, Brian, and everyone at Blodgett who cared for me in what could have been a dark time ,I would love to come in and visit you guys and show you how far ive come someday. You guys were AWESOME.David Thomas
Kelsey Heath: My dad was treated here in September for low sodium levels bc they couldn’t figure out the cause of his pain and that’s all they could come up with, also cleared of his cancer returning, he was sent home with no solution for his pain. 4 hospitals later he got his diagnoses after having to travel to Cleveland. He died last week from metastatic brain and spinal cancer. Go somewhere else to get your answers.
Jessy Lee: Great hospital they’re taking very good care of me but can you please make sure the people that deal with us in the hospital are nice to us? I called room service and the lady was absolutely rude to me I already don’t feel good I’ve been stuck in bed for 2 days I don’t need someone snapping at me with attitude. This happened 12-6-22 at 6:10pm
jose paguada: Great people G.I.Bins was called to Service all the Trash bins
mark edwards: Was there for major surgery on Colon was happy with surgeon and everyone else but was not with the nurse who ordered my meds on release. I am a top level mental disability war veteran, she asked about meds and wanted nothing to do with addictive pain killer but knew I needed more laxative, her comment was " you can get that on your own at store". She refused to order me more laxative thru VA . Believe she should be removed from being a nurse. Luckily VA came through and this was on VETERANS DAY!!!

Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital: what do users think?
Mariyam Punawala: All good
Quentin Moon: I had my RNS surgery by Dr.Burdette, Dr.Ali, and the rest of his team. They were really good to me throughout all of the testing and, up to month long eegs. I'm glad all that's finally over though and I had my surgery. Which has helped already to reduce my seizures, and the severity of them when I do have a breakthrough. .
Chalice Belliel: I gave birth to my first baby here, it was an amazing experience, tleveryone was so caring helpful and got done what needed to be done I had an amazing nurse named ash, and Dr Johnson was a heaven sent. They followed my no man rule as I have ptsd and I cannot recommend them enough!
TJ David: Our buddy smashed his face on a sidewalk & Nurse Jackie in the ER did a phenomenal job of helping us.
Bellasima Poloski Valentina: The building & parking is confusing. However, random staff members throughout the hospital were more than happy to give directions inside. They took great care of my son during his surgery. Note: make sure to take your parking ticket inside to get validated or prepare to pay a hefty fee.
Debbie Sain: This is a terrible place !!! My mom went there she fell and had a broken hip and 2 places in her wrist . Surgery on Easter Sunday. The first day she was being treated so bad she called crying and screaming for help. They sat her in a chair for over a hour and ignored her call button for help for over one hour. She called me in severe pain and they wouldn’t answer her button . The nurses were the rudest people I have seen . Mom couldn’t walk or barley move. In Things got worse from there. They continued to treat her bad. Left her food she couldn’t reach it several times . Moved her phones she couldn’t answer her family . Then she was in there 6 days and never allowed her to brush her teeth, clean up or brush her hair . This was right down unexceptional!!!!! They should be held accountable for one of the worst experiences mom and family has had !!! Beware don’t take a loved one in this torture chamber !!!!!!!!
Donna Kapala: They are terrible at returning families phone calls. I left multiple messages with questions about my family member who is a patient, I am on her HIPPA, as well as having medical poa.
Jay petroelje: Went here with my fiancé as he had a bug in his ear and was told nothing was there went to the urgent care on alpine and there was a bug in the ear that the hospital “didn’t see”
loren schultz: Most unprofessional staff I have encountered.starting with the security guards up to the dr’s. Sad situation for the city of Grand Rapids, MI.
Erin Hiebert: I feel bad for those who had a negative experience here. I had excellent care when I came in for skin cancer surgery. Everyone from the nurses to the surgeon were beyond kind and caring. Little things like extra pillows, offering me ginger ale, wheeling me to a room earlier than scheduled because I had to use the restroom (it was that or a bed pan, which I honestly didn't care either way). The parking can be a little confusing, but I've lived in a bigger city with more convoluted directions before -- comes with the territory of growing medical campuses.
Patsy Littlefield: Went there by ambulance after I had fallen and hit my head and torso on my bathtub. I was in horrendous pain with blood by my ear, not sure where is was coming from. I was eventually told I had a brain bleed, and a partially collapsed lung, but no broken bones. I was sent him with two days of pain medication. I told them I was in disbelief that my bones were not broken, and out the door I went. I was encouraged to see my doctor on Monday. I was unable to see my doctor because of the pain level I was at, and consequently no medications were given. I checked the portal and read what I had been told in the ER. Later on that same day I went in to read their diagnosis to a family member. The report was totally changed and stated I had NO signs of injury. At this point I was very confused and made an appointment with a totally new doctor close to my home. Upon making it to the “new” doctor, I was advised that I had multiple fractures! I was enduring intolerable pain all this time, taking Tylenol after the ER meds. were gone. It was inhumane. I was then sent to Osteopathic Surgeons of West Michigan, and told I needed surgery. You pay top $, so go somewhere that knows what they are doing!!!!
CHERYL: Our daughter was in ICU for two days and then to 7th floor. We cannot choose just one great nurse and staff, EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS GREAT!! That is by far the best hospital we have ever experienced. For all of the staff to be so kind and compassionate, that speaks volumes for this hospital. Wouldn’t want her to ever go anywhere else!!
Jeff Hankinson: My one and only complaint is the lack of respect from family and/or friends in the surgical waiting room. For the love of God take your phone conversations out to the hallway, or go somewhere as private as possible. If that’s not an option, then have the decency to talk quietly because no one wants to hear your damn one-sided (loud) conversation or listen to your call on speaker when it is, and should be, a private and discreet matter. Respect for others has disappeared, and that’s beyond pathetic. People are disgusting. Please ban phones in the waiting room and designate a specific area for these situations. Then again, a simple text message works wonders as long as your phone is on vibrate and others don’t have to hear the tones everywhere.
Sulie Cervera: This hospital have me traumatize. I feel like all they doing is experience and testing on babies and older adults. Nurses going out the country and returning the next day and being around sick or premature babies in the Nicu. Adults ha they just leave them there to rotten. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL TO ANYONE!
Robert Robbins: was highly disappointed on the quality of care I received since March 1, 2023.The communication was not accurate or consistent. I had a resident wish me luck with a ribcage removal which was not scheduled and nurse was not aware that a NPO was not inplace for an IR nerve block. When asked never once did any staff if I was NPO.it turns out I was and was unable to receive the nerve ablation.I am beyond anger over this situation. For a world class operation you should be highly embarrassed. Thanks to IR Nurse Elsa I will receive the procedure on this Friday. I only need to endure 2 more days.I can't thank her enough.
Kylee M. Tamminga: Nurses and doctors are great but billing department is awful. So many issues with them that it makes you never want to go to a spectrum office.
Dave: Five star nursing and services...Fifth floor..."Landmark" Building...Thanks...
Seldon Cupps (Seldor The Destroyer): Pretty nice hospital. They have nice staff as well.
Dyonne Washington: Absolutely the worst hospital ever. They treat you like an addict if your a minority.I will never ever support this place. It’s really sad how many people feel this way.
Kristine Heimler: My mother spent a week with this hospital. What a disappointment. No hot water for two days, so she had a COLD shower. Not one meal was even remotely warm. AND while in the ER her phone was stolen! Security said "sorry we can't help you". Corewell is not better or even close to the quality of what we deserve on the "medical mile"
Andy Anderson: VETERANS AVOID THIS PLACE! They have no experience dealing with the VA and veterans! Sent hubby’s RX ton the wrong number (I offered the fax number several times) andc when we got back to the VA to fill the RX, the pharmacy tried to call back to the ER bit of course spectrum was little help. Go to another ER

Emergency Room | University of Michigan Health-West: what do users think?
Jewelz: This is the worst emergency room and I will probably bleed out before ever going back. I waited in agony for over 4 hours in their waiting room. Staff told me to give up my seat so I had to stand while trying not to pass out. I went outside hoping there was a bench to sit on but there wasn’t. Upon trying to re-enter, the security lady was snotty and wouldn’t open the door for me until finally a coworker came along and told her to. So unprofessional and not caring about people who are in pain and suffering…smh
shellie crumley: Took my 83yr mother to be seen for non life threatening injury on Easter sunday (cut on leg, leg paralysis) and less than 5 min wait time to be seen, all staff was very friendly and efficient. Security outside also helpful getting her in wheelchair out of our vehicle.
Zulika Sor: Got in quick. Didn’t have to wait long which I was most happy about! Good experience. I wish I had a pillow and a more private/separate room. I could hear everything the patient next to me between the curtains. Otherwise staff was friendly.
Kaitlin Jandron: I have used this hospital for my labs and they e always been great. This is my first time going to the emergency room department. Chief complaint was chest pain and shortness of breath. I took my BP at home and it was elevated at 156/98. They immediately took me back to a room and had a lot of medical personnel assisting me. I felt they were doing their job quickly and efficiently and I felt cared for. However. Once everything was placed, I was left alone for almost the entirety of my visit. I received a MyChart notification stating that my labs were normal. After waiting more, someone came in and gave me a cocktail to help with acid reflux which I stated several times I’ve never had. Said she would be getting me ready for discharge??? During this entire visit, My BP jumped to 194/123 and my pulse was sticking between 100-115. Left alone again for a while, then two doctors come in and ask how it worked. I said it didn’t. They asked “Did they tell you the results?” And I said nope. The two team doctors who assisted me at the end were very nice, took the time to explain things to me, and assured me that I would be fine. The only reason this is 2 stars is because of those two doctors. Upon reading my summary report today, a lot of the information is incorrect. Stating that I did not have symptoms that I told them I had and said “patient has improved.” My BP elevated dangerously and my pulse was still not under control. I felt worse when I left. I guess lesson learned, don’t tell them your history with mental health cause as soon as they hear it, they just want you out of there as soon as possible. I’ll be driving across town to a different ED should I need one again.
Sheila Haen: Appalling lack of sanitation and no adherence to COVID-19 distancing guidelines. ER waiting room was packed, patients waiting to be seen sitting inches apart. Girl directly across from me was given a bowl to vomit into while the people that brought her in casually ate their Wendy’s meal. After a couple hours of watching this, a gentleman sat next to me. He was also struggling with nausea, and was given a small Tupperware bin to throw up in. After 3 hours of waiting, decided the safest thing to do was to leave. Not interested in picking up more infectious germs or wearing a strangers vomit! Why they didn’t have security tell new arrivals to check in from their car since they were over capacity is beyond me. Did not inspire confidence and will not be back.
Dustin Wilson: Looks like a clean place
Emily Lynn: You should be absolutely embarrassed by your staff's lack of manners and professionalism. Horrible bed side manner and over all a disgrace to the medical community. If you want to be properly treated medically and personally, go anywhere else.
Holly French: Editing my review to add Dr. Elizabeth Lowjewski was the dr that “treated me”. This dr should not be a dr. She doesn’t care about patients. I will never forget that her negligence almost cost me my life.I walked in here Saturday night, shaking, my heart rate was 165 and I was so dehydrated I couldn’t swallow. My white blood count was also elevated, I couldn’t even lift up a bottle of water and even walking in was very hard. I had been feeling bad for 6 weeks and it got progressively worse. The dr looked me in the eye and told me that she refused to do any more for me and that I was fine. They also took a stool test but I wouldn’t get results for a couple days. The next day I was so sick I went to spectrum and they admitted me right away. It turns out I had a severe stomach infection that was borderline sepsis. They called me yesterday to tell me that my cultures came back positive for cdiff. The negligence almost cost me my life and I will tell everyone I know to stay away from here.
Eric Johnson: Every time I have been here, I have had nothing but good experiences. My wife has been here for emergencies and had great experiences and top notch care. My 3 yo daughter was here for a leg issue and the doctors and staff took such good care of her and got her whatever she needed. And the hospital itself, both my children were born here and the hospital staff were so caring of us. I understand being a hospital, you can have mixed experiences, but I think the staff and doctors here do good work and genuinely take care of you.
Aaron Tafelsky: A little crowded at the time but service was good.
Sue Brouwer: All I can say is Just don't! From the rude registration people to the utter lack of communication between staff members. And that just scratches the surface of the incompetence in this ER.Nurses coming in and stepping over basins with vomit in them without taking care of it.Loosing a patient and discharging them while they sit outside of the ER throwing up in tbeir lawn Giving medicine for low magnesium and potasium which is then thrown up but saying the levels should be better. Rude rude rude do not I repeat do not send your loved one here if you want peoper treatment. It boarderd on neglect and incompetence. No matter how far you have to drive go somewhere else. You will not be sorry.
Yalc Kcin: I've had to get 2 MRIs and both time the staff have been absolutely outstanding. Very patient with me and understanding about my fear if small spaces. I don't like going to hospitals but if you have to go this place is amazing.
Tilma Rose: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The ER was very unpleasant. No pillow, very cold. Bed very uncomfortable. Had to ask for a blanket. Had a hard time getting the IV started, they wouldn't take my advice of wrapping arm in a warm blanket.Very unhappy with care.
Patrick mooney (Pmoon): Short wait time and caring employees made a tough situation much easier
WoulfeX1 reals: Not much of an emergency room if you are waiting for at least an hour just terrible and you call this a hospital
Macy Gross: Waited about 10 minutes before being treated. Staff was very kind. Nurse Malik was incredible and was very personable and funny. Needs were always attended to and our room was checked on frequently.
james leslie: My wife injured her arm while walking the dogs. She was in a great deal of pain. Arrived at 850pm 7/11/22, We had a 3.5 hr wait in the waiting room. None of the pain meds they gave her touched the pain she was in. The x-rays showed a small fracture. "Non operable" at the end of our 9hr visit. The nurse at shift change was very rude, and "discharged" her with no explanation. Basically handed us some papers and told us to leave. Nevermind that she obviously had some kind of soft tissue damage. Probably the most unprofessional treatment I have ever witnessed at any hospital, ever.
Chandra Babu Arangi: Most impatient people. The boasted facilities are from robbing their patients.
Papa Bear: Thought I may be having a stroke due to not taking my Eliquis lately and my left arm being extremely numb. I was shaky, and just not feeling right. The EMT told me he didn't think it was a stroke, but I was in AFib when he hooked me to the monitor. I should have cancelled going to the hospital at that time, but I went anyways to get checked. Upon arriving, they hooked me to a monitor and left me. A doctor came in after an hour to check on me and said they'd get me out soon. A second doctor came in after another hour and said the same thing. After another hour, the first doctor came in again for the same thing. I asked him to put the rails down on the bed so I could at least sit up. After another half hour, or so, I unhooked all the leads to the monitor, took off the stickers and took off the BP cuff. Nobody came, so I went to the door. It was like a ghost town. I saw one janitor emptying trash in a room on the other side. Finally, someone came to the desk and asked if they could help me. I said I was ready to leave. They said they were waiting for some paperwork (when they did finally look, they found it queued in the printer, waiting to be printed off). I asked to have the needle removed from the back of my hand in the meantime. I finally got my paperwork and left. Other than the 2 doctors, not one person checked on me, even after I told the 2 doctors that nobody had been in to check on me.
Phil Koster: Worst ER in Grand Rapids. Daughter went in for stomach pain, nausea and vomiting for 3 days in a row and unable to eat solid food. They have her nausea meds which knocked her out. They decided since she was asleep that meant she was fine and discharged her without talking to her or even making sure she was ok after not being able to wake her up. They prescribed her 3 meds for gone, ask tablets. Went back in today because she threw up the tablets and still can't eat or drink. They did the same thing. I had to demand the orally disintegrating zofran. Demand. Asking wasn't enough. No imaging. No pain meds. No follow up recommendations. Just basic blood work and more anti nausea meds. Absolutely worthless.
Kyle Reurink: Wow. There will be alot that comes out about this place. There are some evils going on in inpatient floors.

Trinity Health Saint Mary's - Grand Rapids: what do users think?
Binto D: Horrible horrible staff, they took so long checking my sister in and then were behind the desk not giving a care in the world about us. The wait is unacceptable, worst experience ever. I recommend spectrum.
Abdulrahim Alagha: Thank you. My wife delivered our first baby during the covid lockdown. We were amazed! The stuff is friendly. The nurses are cooperative and highly responsive. Special thanks to the hospital management team and to the Doctor of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Luca Fletcher: My brother came in with his hand swallen up like he got bitten my something venomous. My brother James could get worse. He really need help bad. No one wants to help. He's been waiting for 3 hours. What's wrong with staff here. I thought you get help when it's an emergency. Not here trust me when I got see my brother go through horrific pain. Later that day I went to go get a soda. Nurse did not want to help me find my way back to my brother. They knew he was.
larry peterle: My wife had Para Throid surgery there. The doctor was really good at his work. My Mom left this world there. Normally I would not kid anyone at the point of leaving this world but she was the exception. Some people's faith is so strong that all they can say is they have been waiting with a smile. Their courage replaces your loss with pride of being part of them.
Dillon Clapp: Instead of treating the issues that cause you to have mental health breakdowns they will call the police on you instead of helping you treat the problem. This place does not care about their patients and like to refuse care to those in need. Will NEVER go here again and don't recommend going here to anyone else!
Jacky Cauley: Beyond helpful and caring. I came in from out of town to make sure everything was ok with my unborn baby. They were detailed and I did not wait very long at all to be seen.
Sultan Racing: Thank you for everything today!!! We couldn’t be happier for our daughter’s surgery and recovery!! Everything we hoped for has happened. We are feeling truly blessed ❤️
Jordan Smith: My birthing experience here was amazing. Everyone was extremely nice, made sure I was comfortable, got me the things I needed, and provided me great education for my baby
jack hitts 3: Worst hospital was treated with zero respect or choice in my medical decisions
Samantha Esch: I had an appointment to get a an ultrasound at the breast center of trinity health. When I arrived to my appointment I parked across the street in a trinity heath marked parking lot. unbeknownst to me, I was not allowed to park there. The security guard came running out of the building literally screaming at me that I could not park there. I told him I had an appointment and thought I could as long as I had an appointment. He continued yelling at me that I just cannot park anywhere I want and that there is a designated parking area for where I was going. He then started throwing out accusations. He stated "I have seen you here all the time I have talked to you before about this you cannot park here". All of this was yelled at me. I had never interacted with this man prior and had never even been to a trinity health location prior to this incident. I tried to ask where I could park and he continued yelling at me and interrupting me that I just need to move my car. I stated that we had never met before and I had no idea what he was talking about and he continued to accuse me of "just parking wherever I want all the time". Even though I asked repeatedly where I could move my vehicle to, he never informed me he just said "there are places you can park for that building". I understand that I had parked in the wrong spot and would have been happy to move my car had he come out and explained the situation but instead I got screamed at and thrown accusations that were entirely untrue during an already stressful time when I was seeking serious medical care.
Zac: Came in with a broken hand and left with it in worse condition.. the technician who put on my cast wasn’t even suppose to be doing it “he made sure we knew” he failed putting it on twice by the tending PA, now my finger might need surgery due to wrong places splint, also every medical provider keep asking if I need plain pills after saying no…..
Jacqueline Villegas: The icu in the Hauenstein center was unpleasant to say the least. A lot of their staff, such as the day nurse and charge nurse, could use a refresher course on socio-emotional competencies and mercy/ Trinity health’s “values” as what they pride themselves in. The only positive experience I had with their staff was Melissa and Say - professional and kind/compassionate. When a family is undergoing a stressful time due to a loved one who is in critical condition , no attitude is needed, lack of empathy and sympathy is not needed, lack of mercy is not needed. I would recommend the other main hospital DT; hopefully they’ll demonstrate true/genuine care for the patient and will demonstrate hope and perseverance to do what is necessary and avoid doing what is not necessary.
Marquis Amon: Amazing hospital. The staff was extremely kind, and very skilled at their work. My son was injured, and as soon as we arrived, they not only treated him like their own family member, they treated him with the utmost emergency care and kindness. This hospital is truly a Gods Send.
Adam Christians (GeminiClone): ER is not equipped to deal with mental health issues as required by their partnership with the county. Once admitted to the hospital, staff was amazing. However, the 12hrs of neglect in the ER makes me question their abilities as a competent medical organization that I want to visit in the future.
Rodd Deep (TENDEEP): Helpful, caring and attentive
Jacob Feldpausch: My Father (58 yo M) has had kidney failure since 2018 with Blue Cross Blue Shield health coverage with General Motors having almost Twenty Five years in. He went to St. Mary's hospital for treatment for Three years. It took them Three years to tell him he wasn't eligible for a kidney. They weren't even competent enough to tell a healthy kidney recipient (compared to others) that he couldn't do them because their cardiologist used a stethoscope on his chest and said he had a flutter. No further tests done just told he wasn't an eligible candidate. They WASTED so much of his short lived time! Really consider any other place besides St. Mary's, most people with kidney failure don't have much time at all to waste on this kind of incompetence you will fall through the cracks with this organization.
Jennifer Dibble: Grand river cardiology is my place to go for 14 year's. Fran the receptionist Amazing! If you have a heart conditiin like I do, go here.
Ashley Duimstra: Five + stars go to Shannon Mengyan and all the nurses on the Labor and Delivery and post delivery floor! Incredible care, service, and helpfulness with patient, baby, and family!!
Judy Hammond: My husband has had the best staff, doctors, everyone here is professional, kind and knowledgeable...highly recommend
Sherrie Phillips: Qent to get my eye checked out to see if my retina was tearing had my vitals checked, the on staff doctor look in my eye and sat in a room for hour and half with no testing or an eye doctor coming to see me and got a bill for over $1000 and a 2nd bill for a phone consultation for $724. But no one ever came back to tell me if the retina was tearing or not? Finally just left to go see my regular eye doctor who got me in right away.
Monique Franklin: Normall it’s my favorite hospital to go to but today I went in I have this terrible pain on my right side feels swallowing no bruising not even tender to touch but it hurts like hell they took me back and literally online took my urine said it was fine despite my pain he’s sure nothing is going to bust open and there is nothing else he can do so I ask can u please check my blood to make sure my livers and gallbladder and appendix and spleen are all functioning correctly he says no there’s nothing else we can do I’m sure u a be fine like r u serious what’s going on with the hospital where they don’t even wanna run test on you just let me go home and stay in terrible pain
