Heather Watts: My husband and I had our first visit with Dr. Giuliani this morning. We were nervous because we weren't sure what to expect. She couldn't have been nicer! I was impressed that she actually seemed to have reviewed our records before our appointment. I look forward to going back!
Erin Donahue: This facility is awful all across the board. They do not care and treat patients like numbers. Lack of communication, long scheduling wait times when these fertility procedures are so time sensitive, billing department has no idea what they are doing and our entire experience here was painful and terrible. My husband and I switched to a fertility center in Chicago and it has been a totally different experience for the better. We regret spending so much time and money at this clinic.
Jake B: I would give 1 star because I had a heck of a time getting our embryo storage figured out. I talked to so many employees and finally got in contact with Nina. Nina changed my opinion of the clinic entirely so I gave 5 stars. She made sure everything was taken care of and went above and beyond and made sure the front desk knew what I needed when I came in on my lunch break so I didn’t have to explain my story to anyone else. Thanks you for your help.
Michelle Judy: Although we do not have our miracle baby yet, I have been so pleased with the time and compassion we have experienced at TFC. After multiple routine appointments, I recently had a fairly traumatic procedure and Kendra was my saving grace. She made me laugh at the right times and was caring a calm the entire time. I would not wish infertility on my worst enemy, but I truly feel like we are in the best hands at The Fertility Center.
Lauren P: Kind of annoying that you say a sample needs to be done within 45 minutes of your appointment and then you make a patient wait in the waiting room for 20 minutes before taking the sample. Hope our results are accurate.
Max Naramor: I was a patient from 2019 to 2022 primarily at kzoo but all procedures were in gr. I was a self pay patient with no fertility insurance coverage.ProsKzoo nurses were great-Amy goes above and beyond.Kzoo office staff-Amanda and Bev treat you like familyDr.Thakur was very knowledgeable and evidence based which I loved. I could tell the last year I was at the clinic she was a little overwhelmed by the amount of patients she had.As of May 2022 gr has added some decorations and signs like happy transfer day and a mcdonalds fry coupon that were very encouraging and made the day feel more special and less clinicalConsHigh cycle costs, little explanationOperational issues leading to frustration and inconvenienceToo many patients for facility/provider capacity leading to longer wait times for servicesRoutinely only growing embryos to day 2 without discussion of other optionsOperational Examples:Several months to get on a retrieval/transfer calendar as an established patient. It took me over a year to transfer 4 times when a person with no fertily issues gets 12 chances in the same time frame. Because it took over a year of waiting I had to repeat all the preconception testing and bloodwork which cost a lot of money .I did not have a problem getting on the schedule for iui or medicated cycles, I was able to move forward the next cycle.Not doing pertinent transfer testing like a sonohyst until the cycle before transfer...further delaying transfer to wait to get on a surgery schedule that was booked outKzoo does not have the resources the gr office has which always made me feel like a second class patient....hours of operation were not convenient, no onsite blood work, getting sent to grand rapids for procedures like ERA/IUI etc. It just led to more time off work which was really hard going through ivf.Billing:Overall I felt like the billing practices were not transparent. I got my last bill a month ago since getting pregnant in May for over 3k that I was not expecting. I wish this cost would've been explained prior as all was out of pocket for us.You have to ask for itemized receipts to know what you've paid for and with the costs it feels like your constantly making big payments without knowing exactly what you're paying for. A portal that you could see these receipts/payments would be beneficial.Very difficult to get a hold of anyone in billing.Overall it was an OK experience. If there had been other west michigan ivf options I probably would've checked those out after the second transfer. The clinic has potential but needs to focus on transparency and communication to patients.

Katie Lovely: I can’t find contact info for the managers so I hope the right person sees this. I called a few days ago looking for treatment. When I called I spoke to Nina…. and good grief is this establishment lucky to employ a woman like that. She spoke to me on the phone for 20 minutes while I was being hysterical about my situation. She was knowledgeable in the infertility field and extremely patient with me. Nina gave me numbers/codes to give to my blue cross to look at my insurance coverage before scheduling an appointment.Nina, I could not be more thankful for the compassion and support you showed me….You really had no idea how much I needed it Monday.-Katie
karly schaefers: I’ve had the pleasure of working with Nena and DR. Shavell! They have been NOTHING BUT HELPFUL,PATIENT, and KIND! Struggling in pregnancy is so normal but feels so not. They make sure to explain everything very well and thoroughly. They have been a saving grace to my husband and I. If I could give them 100 stars I would! Thank you guys for doing what you do!!!! Changing one family at a time and I’m so glad ours will be changed because of you!!
Justin Sterenberg: Been trying to work through things with them for over a year. They'll schedule a blood lab, I'll get it done. On my online health chart it will be flagged (as an abnormal value). I'll go weeks without hearing from a doctor--should I increase/decrease/stop the medication?. Call to schedule an analysis and the PA says "Why do you want that?". Well, because I have been working with you for over a year, and I was instructed to schedule that. Just seems to be no communication between the doctor, the physician's assistants, and the patient. If I do not call them, I would never hear anything from them. Dr. Dodds has retired now, and I have yet to hear from another doctor as to any type of plan, goal, options, or direction. Two of our appointments Dr. Dodds was late--15 minutes one the one, and 20 minutes late on the other. I understand the previous patient was likely the reason, but not that we saw any type of discount for that, just our time cut short and a few hundred bucks for a virtual appointment. One of our appointments with Dr. Dodds; the first 10 minutes of the appointment was him trying recall and remember everything from our last appointment--basically forgot who we were, why were there, etc. Face to face interactions with everyone have been pleasant. Nobody has been rude or mean, but you really really have to self-advocate or nothing will happen.
Corinne TerBeek: We struggled for years with infertility like 5. We came to the fertility center in 2018 and after several procedures (4 IUIs, IVF, 2 FETs) and tests. Although the costs were high both monetary and life stress,we remained persistent and positive. After an FET, We ended up starting our family in 2019 with the arrival of twins! We wanted to continue our family and came again to seek help in 2021with advice from Dr. Thakkur. We were about to begin the IVF process again and became pregnant on our own! Very suprised and thankful we appreciated all the positive encouragement and environment from the TFC. We are that couple with unexplained infertility and were able to receive our miracles. The clinic was very helpful and educational on what our next steps were and let us decide what to do next. All of our staff interactions were positive from billing, support staff, administration, nursing, Dr.s etc. Throughout our time there we saw all the Dr.s and gave excellent care. Tfc is sensitive to their clients needs and truly do care.

Sarah Korson: I have had a difficult year, lots of appointments, doctors, and previous tests/procedures. Scheduling and having my prior surgery had been chaotic and confusing, but here that was different. Dr. Giuliani was clear and to the point, she always let me ask any and all questions. Scheduling my surgery with the fertility center was simple, and everything went as planned. It was a relief to be able to trust my doctors so much. I'm very thankful to the fertility center for bringing me more hope for my future.

It has definitely been the most challenging time of our lives, but I continue to feel heard and supported with each step, process, and procedure. Dr. Thakur has been very knowledgeable, attentive, supportive, patient, and kind. She always has a game plan, and we just love her as our physician! I also cannot say enough great things about Jennifer RN. She is so compassionate, smart, and goes above and beyond with making me feel more at ease during this process. She is just a gem. Skyler Sorsen: Front desk lady very rude don’t know how to speak to people.. Also was told I wouldn’t have to pay anything insurance would cover it but now here I am paying out of pocket get it together seriously
