Upheaval Festival: what do users think?
Jeb Hack: Great venue. Get ready for a climb to get to the second stage though. Overall great time - will go back!!
Ashley Densborn: I've gone since they started upheaval. Have to say the bands are awesome and there lot of drinks options. Hey upheaval if you guys reading this please make the second stage more easy to get to. Move some bathrooms stations closer then way in the back pass the food . Food can you make it more choose. VIP NEED TO BE REALLY NEED TO BE BETTER.
Lisa jurek: Need better acts
Rebecca Parry: This is my second year. I will be making this concert every year an annual event. Mudvayne killed it and Rob Zombie and Korn were amazing last year. I can only winder what 2023 brings!
Michael Colton: 🤘😄🤘
Taylor H: EDIT: YEAR 2!! This year we paid extra for vip, and we both thought it was worth it. It was a life-saver to have a shaded area with tables and bathrooms, plus our own food and drinks separate from the other vendors (also free water!). The first day it rained and the next day was crazy hot, but the bands and vendors and staff all kept it fun and made it a great experience again. The crowd was awesome! We made friends everywhere we went. THE BANDS WERE SICK!! Can't wait for next year! END OF EDIT. Amazing experience. Vendors had awesome stuff to sell, the workers were friendly and cool, and the crowd-vibe was relaxed, friendly, and fun. The line to get in was long as hell but was constantly moving. Also, they had many food trucks with options ranging from tacos to noodles, with all kinds of fried stuff mixed in between. The bands were amazing, can't go wrong with Korn. A little bummed Avatar couldn't make it :( But all around just a great, fun time!! As a fellow rocker and metal head, I felt like I was home. Already bought our tickets for this summer, can't wait :)
Sheri Benedict: We had such a good time at the Upheaval festival! We will definately be going every year! I was at the festival last year as well and I love that fact that there was a shuttle we can ride to get to the top of the hill this year. I missed a lot of bands because there was NO way i was going to walk up that hill. I do realize that this is only the 2nd year at the venue and it is a learning process. However, i do not feel that the VIP passes were worth the extra money. The only benefit we found was the free bottles of water. And in that case, the general admission area had a fresh water station where you can fill up your own water bottles for free. The women's VIP restrooms were disgusting. It was as if there was noone attending to them the entire day. 1 of the toilets did not flush, there was no toilet paper for most of the evening and the waste baskets were over flowing thourghout the entire restroom area. I found some of the port a pots cleaner than the VIP restrooms. The air conditioning was nice but thats about it. The raised platform in the VIP section was pretty cool with a great view as well. You could actually find better seating in the general admission area and had your back to the sun instead of facing the blinding sun in the VIP section. In conclusion, we will still be attending Upheaval Festival for sure! But, overall, VIP was definatley not worth the extra cash.
Rina Hill: Parking was ridiculous. Venue set up was ridiculous. Food prices reasonable. I have never been to a music festival to where the people were so disrespectful in my life. Michigan people are the most rude and inconsiderate people i have ever seen. BOO ON MICHIGAN
Kayla (gloomyowns): Upheaval 2022 was amazing! Mudvayne was read, and Breaking Benjamin blew it away!
Jakkerss: Great 1st night, excited about the 2nd night. Lots of vendors to buy cool stuff. Food trucks were top of the line.
Nate Lawton: Awesome
Rebecca Nothof: Three hours in the merch line, warmup music drown out the actual stage that’s playing…beer and food lines are long and I’ve been assaulted with elbows by many people pushing past me as I stand in line to get some foodStage setup is good with a fun lineup. But not worth the money or time wasted
Mona Este: July 16 17, 2022: Sounds about right
michelle moore: It was so much fun. The people were nice and generous. Meeting korn was the best experience of my night.
Michael Kowalski: Simply amazing.
Jamie Egendoerfer: It was great to have concerts back. But the second stage location was very bad. There's no way I was going to walk up that entire humongous hill. Next year they should change it to at least give the bands a fair shake in having the crowds they want. But seeing Korn, Chevelle and Pop Evil was awesome 😎

DeVos Place: what do users think?
Ken Boyles: Great venue.
Karl Peterman: Had a multi day conference here that included an exhibitor show, multiple catered meal times, and technical meetings. The facility is very nice and clean. I saw multiple people taking care of the facility throughout the day. The meeting rooms had good sound separation so even with amplified speakers we were not distracted by meetings next door. Whoever was doing coffee and then the food for breaks and lunches did amazing. Good location too with a few different hotels to choose from nearby and the Grand River to watch.
Brian W (BZER): Brit Floyd tonight! Great concert!
Michael Haddad: Saw Brit Floyd. Great seats. Fantastic sound. Amazing show.
Matthew Niedner: Spacious venue. Clean. Close to all the walkable social life downtown.
Newman Family Dental: The DeVos Place is the Best Grand Rapids location for seminars and conferences. Not only are the conference accommodations clean and convenient   but the catwalk back to the Amway Grand makes this a perfect event location without having to drive back to another hotel. The DeVos Place also has well thought-out acoustics in their various rooms, with larger video displays in some to allow  hosting larger dinners / seating arrangements away from the stage. (Check the schedule for the Feb annual car show!) 😁
Ramon Huizar: Very great place to visit.
Liza Granderson: Bubbles show with my daughter, her daughter, my granddaughter, 4 years old daughter. I did enjoy
Nick Grutter: Always a good time at the GR Opera. Very welcoming staff. Clean top to bottom. And great performances!
Pat Short: There for a volleyball tournament. Very spacious. A lot of other events going on. Enjoyed the visit.
Heather: Ridiculous utterly appalling how they changed My Fair Lady the classic musical into a parade of something. That I will not publicly type on this review. However when the "Bride" came out that scene alone was disgusting to watch. Please in the long run leave the classics alone how they were portrayed in the beginning. Some musicals are not meant to be changed regardless of the time and "everyone coming out"
David Fogle: 2023 Michigan Safety Conference. Great conference, great venue.
Turbulence Tyme: Very nice venue went to see the new jack city play cast was amazing clean environment would recommend going here for future shows the staff was plentiful
Mary Torres: Great experience, the orchestra played flawlessly!!!
Scott LaRue: It's a nice place. They had the Oddities Expo there.
Sonya Oisten: Overly crowded. Hard to get to it you drove a car, not enough parking for events, bathrooms where so dirty it was like being at a outside concert with pizza all on the floors. I probably won't attend another event there
David Jourden: Event Parking under the building is only $10
Mike Brandes: I attend and set up at a variety of shows each year, and the venue is always very well maintained and have always been satisfied with the staff and helpers.
Greg Luci: Excellent venue for anything
Charmaine Powell: Went here for whiskey festival and it was over crowded, when you got the whiskey menu they didn't have some of the whiskey we wanted to try and the numbers on the menu to go to the right table were hard to find because the numbers were at table level not up high so they would be easier to read. Kinda disappointed after driving an hour away to go to this event.

Jonah Roznowski: Great place to view the city, let your dogs run, etc. Concerts there are also nice

Michael Wade: Nice park with pickle ball courts and lots of space. Wi-Fi too
John Hockenberry: Possibly the best public and membership facility for Pickleball in the entire MidWest. It's got everything, including a great view. When it's mobbed its hard to get a court but it falls off quickly after peak hours. BIG FUN.
Garrett Lucas: Everyone likes baseball, concerts, and the best sunset view in GR
Joseph MacMillan: Great Venue for concerts or to exercise with a rucksack.
elizabeth rose: Beautiful park.
Louis Felix: Wish it had a trail. Or at least some what clean to walk it
Brenna Battey: If going to a concert here, I recommend getting the insurance. Cause if it rains you're screwed Like I was with BreakAwayMichigan22
Kevin Bemman: UpHeaval
Chuck Cook: It needs better parking for concerts. Otherwise, a great musical experience.
TongFx: Saw the Chainsmokers last night and it was such a blast. I highly suggest booking this area for more festivals!
