Chad Alexander: These guys are great!! We fished the Muskegon River and caught a lot of Steelhead, and some Trout. Guide's gear and boat were very nice. Just a good trip all around.

Christy Liss: We took an afternoon fishing charter from Grand Haven. It was a beautiful day. We had 2 Kings, 3 Coho and 2 Steelhead. Josh and Jeff were great. A great experience for a family event. Even the two non-fishers had a really enjoyable day as they wanted a turn when the fish got on.

Stacy Bare: Just got off the water with Captain Jason! What a great day on the water! We started off slow, but the laughs were rolling. Then the fish started biting and all it was then was laughter, smiles, quiet, and a recast as we reeled in Northerns, Rock Bass, and a 16.5" small mouth bass right as time expired! I've had the good fortune of fishing in a lot of different rivers and locations-but this was my first time back in bass and pikes for five years and Jason made me feel like a pro. Already scheduling a trip with my father-in-law for the fall! Thanks Captain Jason for a great morning out!I should also note, he's the calmest guide I've ever met based off of the # of times I also caught the river bank and some real big logs!
Phil Tower: Jason took my son and I out on the Grand River for a for a morning fishing trip and we had a wonderful time. Jason knows the river well and is extremely helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to baits and fishing techniques.We caught a beautiful 21” pike and saw several other fish and had some big ones that got away as well. Still, we can’t wait to go back out with him. We would highly recommend his charter service!

Catherine Tonning-Popowich: I booked a sunrise photo tour last fall with Jason at Firebird Outfitters and it was awesome. It was a cool October morning and the morning mist made the sun look very ethereal. It wasn't the sunrise I was expecting but it was a great experience for a photographer. Being out in nature on the river that early in the morning was breathtaking! Jason knew right where an eagles nest was so we headed in that direction. I was not disappointed. See photo. Jason is very knowledgeable of the river, his ability as a guide and his boatmanship. I always felt safe on the boat. I would definitely go on another tour with Firebird Outfitters! Maybe a Sunset tour next time.
David Catlin: How big that is! And I'm talking about the smile as much as the fish! Besides knowing the river and the fish well, having excellent equipment, and displaying all the skills you'd expect of a guide, Jason's friendliness, patience, and good humor made our trip special. I look forward to my next outing with him when I return to Michigan.
