Armentality Movement Arts Center: what do users think?
Jim Mayne: Laura is absolutely amazing in so many ways. I've recently started working with her for a pinched nerve in left shoulder. My initial session I'll call more full bodied The next two sessions Laura used a massage chair. The focus has been on my upper back, shoulders, neck and arms. Relief has been quick and significant. Thanks laura!!
Gina Cellentani: I only took the conditioning and conditioning/yoga combo class, but I really enjoyed them. They were a fresh take on some of the same exercises I've done over and over again. Really enjoyed the flow of these classes. Would recommend!
Raymond Lamse: Laura Armenta just gave me an amazing 2 hour Thai-Yoga massage. It was the best Thai massage I've ever received! Laura showed throughout the massage that she was talented and very knowledgeable about her craft. I highly recommend her massage. Itresults in better flexibility and an overall sense of improved health.Laura is simply the best Thai practitioner that I have ever experienced. She keeps my body functional!
Whitney Pyles: My Thai Yoga session with Laura was incredible. It was exactly what I needed in my 9th month of pregnancy and she created such a comfortable environment for me to experience deep relaxation. My body is still thanking me!
Priscilla Kimboko: As a total novice with dancing, I have enjoyed and learned much under Laura’s teaching and modeling of global dance moves and routines. She is so passionate about her art and encourages everyone to perform to their highest ability. It is always fun...plus it is a great workout. Equally fun and challenging are the yoga routines and the Thai Yoga therapy. I highly recommend Armentality Movement Arts Center to students of all ages and abilities....
Kelly Green: Laura is safe, but intense in her therapeutic massage technique. Results are immediate and gratifying.
Amanda Pierce: Atmosphere was great. The class was perfect for a first-timer. And I loved that Laura checked in to see how I was doing during the class.
DRTRT TUTRU: Don’t go here if you’re of color. They are 100% racist and I’ve heard a lot of things of the main woman who works with you there. Just a really bad place in general
Fake Account: If I could give this place a 0 I would. Zero costumer service skills!
Marguerite Erlandson: Laura is an incredibly talented, knowledgeable, and intuitive Thai massage practitioner! She was able to find my stress points & work them out. Afterwards, she discussed with me those areas with suggestions of how to keep my body in tune. I highly recommend her & will go back.
Valeriia Bevzenko-Green: Friendly and happy place
Catherine Schmidt: I had a lovely, relaxing, and releasing experience during a Thai yoga therapy session with Laura. She put me at ease even though it was my first time seeing her and I felt a positive shift in my body and energy afterwards. Highly recommend!
Kaylee's UNITY: I wish there were more stars because Armentality Movement Arts Center is the best place to get happy, healthy, and fit! After over 4 years of consistently going to Armentality, I've tried all her classes (the dance ones are my favorite) and have seen the positive changes in my life physically and emotionally. If you're new to yoga, try the restorative class!Whatever you are into--dance, yoga, fitness--and whatever experience level you have, Laura Armenta has the expertise to guide you safely into the world of movement!Seriously, the best movement classes I've ever taken.UPDATE 2021:Armentality is the place for authentic movement classes! The Full Moon Bellydancing workshop was exactly what I needed to make sense of the energy and emotions swirling in my head. The choreographed movements were intended to release anything disconnecting us from our most authentic selves and create connection among all the participants in a supportive and safe environment. It reminded me how therapeutic dance is and how important forgiveness is for myself. I felt cleansed, empowered, and reset my intentions for my life. I let go of my analyzing thoughts and allowed myself to feel. ALL WOMEN will benefit from this workshop and EVERYONE will benefit from the other classes at Armentality as long as they are willing to move and share space with others, because Laura Armenta specially designs each class for the participants and carries the intention of empowerment, community, and peace. I am so thankful to be a part of a sacred space and excited for the next opportunity!

Aimee Florez: Laura taught us an intro to movement arts and what it means and its benefits. She was relatable, knowledgeable, and made the class the right balance of information and hands-on work. It was really fun and a great remind about the mind-body connection we often forget and/or neglect. I immediately saw a difference in my confidence and attitude afterward.
R Ochoa: The Thai yoga therapy was the best deep tissue massage I have ever had. Laura Armenta holistic approach and vast knowledge is awesome. She is very professional, skilled, strong and able to actually penetrate the muscles for a genuine deep muscle massage therapy. I completely enjoyed this unique experience. The calm and relaxing atmosphere throughout the whole treatment make my Thai massage therapy such a wonderful experience. Kate Hyman: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueDancespire is truly a place for every person, every dancer. No matter where I am in my progress as a dancer, I always leave class feeling inspired and challenged.
Emani Thomas: Positive:QualityI went to the drop in this week and the dance was challenging but it was a lot of fun. The dance Teachers taught us the dance step by step and reminded us we didn’t need to do the dance moves exactly how they did to look good.
Matt Goodyke: Positive:Professionalism,ValueSo much fun!
Shalyn Anderson-Garner: Dancespire’s Drop In Wednesdays are a great way to causally train in different sub genres of hiphop dance, and sometimes they offer contemporary classes too! It’s also a great way to generally socialize and network within the local dance community. This class is not about being the perfect dancer or showing other people up. It’s about having fun, connecting with others through movement, and trying your best. One person’s best may not be the same level as someone else, and what someone takes away from the class may not be what someone else takes away from the class, and that’s okay! Drop In Wednesday is truly a beautiful environment to be in, thanks to the motivation and support the teachers provide. 3
Ashley Jean: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI love the community that has been created here. If you want a place to simply be yourself, express yourself, meet fun new people or even just exercise through dance this is the place for you. Great people and dancers all around!

Thank you Deavondre all of us at DD love you!
Megan Corey: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueDanceSpire has given me a place to get quality dance training in Grand Rapids. Something that has never been available before. The value is unmatched and they are to credit for so much of my growth. Nothing like it in Michigan!
Christin Prokopy: Positive:Professionalism,Quality
Becky Solis: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueGreat dance teachers and a lot of fun especially drop in Wednesday’s check them out
Michael Nguyen: DanceSpire has done a great job creating community, bringing people together through dance. If you want more dance training or to be part of a dance group, DanceSpire does an amazing job providing these opportunities. After graduating from college, I missed being part of a dance group; I did not know where I could be part of one. Joining the DanceSpire Family changed my life. Without DanceSpire, I wouldn't have been able to improve as a dancer and gain new friends!

Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Plainfield: what do users think?
Sue Towery: Excellent teachers! Very understanding about difficult schedules. Very encouraging and lots of fun!
Bill Cleveland: Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Plainfield provides a great opportunity to learn the details of ballroom dancing. We are learning the waltz, foxtrot, salsa, rumba, and several others. Private lessons have been great along with the group lessons and other events.
Ms Whitherspoon: Arthur Murray will get you dancing in a very short time. Arthur Murray will be riding you hard to sign a very expensive contract. The instructors are good. There are more negatives than positives about all these studios..... 45 minute private lessons, actually 40 minutes. Just barely enough time to get warmed up. Last 10 minutes of the lesson the instructor spends looking at the clock. After spending thousands of dollars, if you ask an instructor a question or to show you something, they refuse and state you have to schedule a lesson (AM policy). They can't dance with you outside the classroom (AM policy). They barely speak to you outside the classroom but are your best friends during a class?? Very confusing signals. They are rigidly structured and will only teach in the sequence AM approves. Sounds good right? Wrong! They milk you for every cent. They make you learn dances you could care less about. There are better dance studios in Grand Rapids. The top two being Social Dance Studio in Standale and Movier in Grand Rapids. These are private studios that offer ballroom dancing at a good price. Their instructors are fantastic! They will always drop what they are doing and answer your questions or show you where your feet should go. There is no snooty corporate attitude....just pure energy and fun! You can learn any style at the pace of learning you desire.Bottom line.......Arthur Murray....Two Big thumbs down. Read more reviews online and you'll see the big picture.
Frank McLeod: I Taught at Arthur Murray in Grand Rapids, MI., long before the current staff was most likely born. At that time, to become an instructor was intense, rigorous, and required several hours a day of non-stop dance training. I suspect with the variety of dances now being taught across the state and nation, instructor-training is even more demanding. That’s said, I would recommend Arthur Murray dance training to everyone. I promise that your instructor will dedicate his or her every effort to teach you how to become an accomplished dancer. Dancing has become a national recreation and dance shows of every kind are frequently on TV and in the movies. Dancing is good for one’s health and is excellent for cardiac improvement and is emotionally one of the most satisfying forms of human activities.
