Jared Mattfolk: Sales packet given to my wife and I did not have clear and concise language, while the actual insurance provider's website does have concise language. This led to a simple misunderstanding that cost us money and has us locked into vision insurance for a year that will cost us more than we will ever get out of it. What we thought would be a decent savings at our out of network provider ended up costing us more than if we had paid out of pocket when we add the insurance premium costs for the year. Had the packet that was distributed had clear and concise language, we would have been able to make the correct decision to opt for no coverage and save money by paying full costs, out of pocket.I accept that the misunderstanding is partially on my end, but I strongly believe that a group that is trying to help their customers make an informed decision should make sure that the information provided is as clear and concise as possible, and simple to understand given the complicated nature of healthcare and insurance in America. If the literal provider can provide clear and concise language, the sales group should be able to as well.Edit: The Griswold Group reached out to me to see what they could do for me, and understanding that given the full situation, their hands are pretty tied, Sarah still went out of her way to attempt to make things right for me. While they were not able to directly resolve anything for me, I greatly appreciate the effort and think it goes a long way to show that my frustrating case was likely an outlier rather than the norm. As such, I've adjusted my rating.

Daniel Crawford: I’m on my wife’s plan through her employer. Despite paying premiums for MONTHS, I STILL don’t have medical coverage. I’ve been on the phones with them multiple times, they say the error is on the side of my wife’s HR department. They’ve looked their side over and see no issues.I’ve missed a month of therapy and I’m out of some of my medications. But you still have our money.On top of that, your call center is just randomly closed today.I hope I get ahold of someone soon because I’m about to just call an attorney.
Joe Fochesato: VERY poorly trained customer service representatives. I had two different agents from BCBS tell me that I would get a reimbursement check because COVID medical costs are covered 100%. I was told that they would mail my check the same day I was on the phone with them and they issued me a reference ID connected to the reimbursement. One month later the check still did not arrive and I heard nothing from BCBS so I called BCBS again and now they tell me they decided I am not to be reimbursed and the billing was correct. So when BCBS tells the customer they are going to take care of something, apparently there word means nothing and if they change their minds, after making a comment, they don’t even bother to tell the customer the direction had changed. Also, why didn’t the first agent I spoke to tell me that a year earlier so I didn’t bother chasing this reimbursement several times with both the medical provider and BCBS. All the phone agents can do is talk about policy and rules instead of taking care of the customer who IS entitled to the reimbursement. I wasted so much time doing what BCBS told me to do with my medical providers over the last years plus time and the last agent tells me “I’m sorry the other agents informed you wrong”.

It will take 30 min or long to you to get live representative or may be not after 30 min call disconnect. worst worst worst zero or one star for these companies. its just simple to have live person to direct to you. What a racket - you pay your premiums and there is no way to reach someone or even request pre-certification!

My problems get fixed, but somewhere up in the chain at the main headquarters, the problems that got fixed became problems again. I have been working with Jennifer, and she is awesome. She sees what your problem is, knows how to fix it, just corporate office sees things on a small scale picture, and Jennifer sees it in the bigger picture.
