We personally tested several combinations in their show room to make sure we could actually hear and see what was proposed. They masterfully designed a system that perfectly fit our needs and provided us with updated technology that was of superb quality and easy to use. Their in-home evaluation of our home, our present system, and our hopes for comprehensive system was essential. They provided us with an incredible final product, perfectly customized to our home and our personal use. Importantly, it is adaptable, remarkably easy to use, and very reasonably priced. Tom Pitts: Stopped by a couple weeks ago on a whim for some tweeters rather than ordering online. As another reviewer stated, it's not really a retail store, but was fun to stop by and chat and learn anyway. They did demo a really stellar sounding pair of custom built Hi-fi speakers for me, (leading me upping the ante and building a better sounding setup to match those tweeters I bought). The staff offered advice and was happy to take time for me even though I just spent a couple bucks on a couple components... I'll likely return when it comes time to do a full-on custom design and I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

If you are thinking about getting into the hobby or if you are just looking for a weekend project give them a call and they can help you build a set of speakers that sound way better than store bought speakers. If you are looking for the next level of sound quality they are the place to shop.

Richard Tourtellotte: Not really a retail store but feel free to stop in if you're a speaker builder. They have pretty much anything you could ever need and also offer repair services. They are very nice and took me on a tour of their shop and played some amazing speakers for me in their demo room. A must visit if you're a speaker builder in the Grand Rapids area.

This store has a very different concept of what most people would consider a store. Have a open mind when you visit please. Also remember when you're there that this man is a trained classical pianist and knows what music is supposed to sound like That's why he only sells what he likes. Speakers that make the music sound the way it was intended to. Recorded music wasn't recorded to sound live It has many tracks laid down It is all edited together live music is not that It's a one chance to try to get it right and what you get is what you get Thank you.

David Good: Northwoods gave me a sweet deal on a Yamaha receiver and Monitor Audio speakers back in 2016. I'm still blown away every time I turn the system on and listen to my favorite high-res music. Movies are pretty good too.

They could have just said they only do that it if you buy it from them, but this guy took it too far. He might have spent a good amount of money there (he does spend a lot on his stereo equipment) but I guess they didn't want his business. Mason: Helpful and friendly staff, but no showroom. For being open to the public, it is expected that one would have a small store at the least, but it more closely resembles a business office. The prices are very competitive, very near if not lower than Amazon, and many products are stored in their wearhouse. I was able to be in and out with exactly what I needed and had a great conversation with the receptionist.
