John Crankshaw: This is my Home Depot store. Stopped in today for a few things. Lots of associates around to direct me to various aisles making for a fast in-and-out.
Samuel Patchett: HOME DEPOT IN KENTWOOD AND WALKER BOTH HAVE NO CONCEPT OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. TWO DAYS IN A ROW WHEN I HAVE ORDERED SIMPLE SMALL ITEMS ONLINE THEY CANCELLED MY ORDER AND NO ONE COULD TELL ME WHY. WHEN YOU CALL THE TOLL FREE 'CUSTOMER SERVICE' LINE YOU GET SOME HALF-WHIT WORKING FROM THERE HOME BEDROOM WHO, AFTER BEING ON HOLD FOR INHUMANE AMOUNT OF TIME, WILL FINALLY TELL YOU THAT THEY KNOW NOTHING AND CAN DO NOTHING. THEN THEY ADVISE YOU TO CALL THE LOCAL STORE DIRECTLY AND THEY CAN TELL YOU NOTHING UNTIL THEY PROMISE TO HAVE A MANAGER CALL YOU BACK AND THEN YOU GET AN OBSCURE EMAIL WHICH DECLARES THAT YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN CANCELLED AND YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT 5-7 DAYS TO GET YOUR MONEY REFUNDED. AMERICA---RUN BACK TO YOUR LOCAL HARDWARE STORES AND SUPPORT YOUR HELPFUL, LOCAL, HARDWORKING, NEIGHBORHOOD STORES AND QUIT SUPPORTING THIS LEVEL OF GARBAGE--JUST TO SAVE A COUPLE OF BUCKS.
Debra Patton: 28th St in Kentwood service rep at the CS desk was very sarcastic and not friendly giving smart remarks... I'll be sure to get her name at the next visit, I've always gotten excellent service at this home Depot... Customer service can make or break a company.

Mistah J: “Paul Hamilton” spent an hour explaining what his team can do, and then another hour waiting on the phone with Home Depot credit card to approve. Got approved, agreed to the work (cabinet laminate applied, new cabinet drawers installed, new cabinet doors installed, new sink, and new countertops). Paul walked us through what would happen when work started. He’d be there day 1, along with his team for introductions, and then he’d hand off to the team to get the work done. Day comes, and no Paul only a single, independent contractor. Confirmed with the contractor the work to be done, and he has no idea about the countertops. Little weird but okay, Paul mentioned there would be a trainee to get some work experience sandpapering. Whole week goes by and there’s only that one contractor doing all the work who has no idea about our countertops and sink. Call his manager and same thing, no clue about the countertop and sink. Call Paul now and he says, “did you order countertops? Let me call you back later when I’m done with my client.” Calls me back the next day and says, “you didn’t order any countertops.” We go back and forth about what we spoke about, and he says he needs to talk to his manager and call me back. Paul calls back and says because he and I can’t agree, his manager “Reese Boosini” would call us to talk details about what we could do. Waited a week for that call and nothing, now 3 months later and haven’t heard anything. To top it all off, I had to call the credit card support number because they removed our special promotion. Support was able to reapply it but just another to watch for some this business of scammers.
emotionsickchick: Purchased a dishwasher ($1000 paid at purchase, not credit) on December 18 and arranged for delivery, which wasn’t available until January. This wasn’t an issue though as we were moving in January and preferred a delivery date shortly after we moved in. Delivery date was arranged for January 28. Two days before the arranged date of delivery we get notice that our delivery date is now pushed out to February 15, two and a half weeks later. After calling several provided numbers and finally talking to someone who seems to know something, not much but something, it’s discovered that Home Depot sold the appliance in question without actually knowing for sure they’d have it in stock to deliver, which they don’t. I don’t suppose this is too out of the ordinary, as there are plenty of places dealing with inventory and supply issues. It is what it is.More frustrating than the delay, which is frustrating enough, is that the person on the phone told us that after delivery Home Depot will try to make it a little better by offering some sort of incentive or something, only she can’t disclose what it might be. I suspect they don’t disclose anything about this incentive in the case that you find out it’s something like $5 off your next $1000 purchase made in 7 days or something that’d likely make you cancel your purchase all together and just go elsewhere.If that’s not enough, the most frustrating thing is that I can look online for the exact dishwasher and add it to my cart as if I’m buying it and the earliest delivery date offered to me is February 10, a full five days earlier than the date they’ve given me for the item that’s already bought and paid for 6+ weeks ago.Tony in the appliance department at this location is fantastic and he’s the reason the rating isn’t lower. Five stars for Tony, 1 star for the dishwasher delivery experience at this location.Edit to update: Today is February 15, friends, and instead of getting our call 30 minutes ahead of delivery we got a call saying the HD delivery truck got stuck in the mud this AM and was still stuck, as of 2:30. I was prompted to call a number to reschedule my delivery date. I had hoped there would be some sort of priority given to people who had been forced not once but twice to reschedule, but alas, the soonest availability is a week away. Whatever compensation is given when they delay your delivery better be twice as good, since we’re on delivery date #3 now. Hope the delivery on the 22nd goes off without a hitch, crossing my fingers but not holding my breath.
Brian: Went to get a 36 mm impact socket. They had no impacts of that size, and only a regular socket. Plus, it was 12 sided, not 6, and was an obvious return due to the gouges in the edges and hammer marks as well. Of course, they only had one.

martin courtade: Went to return a husky ratchet thqt has life time warranty and when the 2 people at the desk didnt know what to do because they didnt have the same one at the store they walled off and never came back. I then talked to the store manager and she told me that you have to call a 1800 number and handed me warranty instructions she printed off that stated to bring the item to the store and they will replace it. She then told me that was wrong when I pointed it out to her. I called the customer service line where I got little to no help and ended in me texting thecustomer service representative and they sent me a leter that stated warranty was to be done instore and if ithey didnt have it in stock to issue a in store gift cardNever will I buy husky tools agin or spend money at this store !

Matt Reda: This is the home improvement store I usually use, and most of the time I find what I’m looking for. Staff is friendly, though it can be hard to find someone to help you as they’re usually spread out and busy. Maybe I’m expecting too much from a big box type store. Bottom line is that I recommend this Home Depot and will continue to use it as my primary location. Really like the garden area, reminds me that spring has finally arrived!

Dan Maly: I was less than impressed on this visit to this H-D!The parking lot was nearly empty when I drove in (around 6:30pm on a Friday). I thought that they might be closed… once inside, there were plenty of employees busy putting away stock or simply standing around catching up on life.I didn’t mind wandering around, looking at stuff I wanted, but didn’t need. Finally took my two items to the only checkout open. One of the items came up with the wrong price. I told the employee that was in charge what happened and she got out her handy-dandy pocket wizard, looked it up and the original price came up. She showed me the price, and basically said “That’s it. Pay the higher price”. When I told her there was a sale price posted on the pallet…no response. I had to walk back in the store, take a photo, return to checkout and only then did she adjust the price. Lesson learned: take photos before you check out. Whatever…

Was very sarcastic… I thought I was being punked 🤣. I walked away and he shouted to me, “Have a nice day!” Went to Lowe’s found exactly what I needed. HD lost me as a customer 👍
matt small: Well after they canceled my order so they could take away my $122 discount and leave me stuck waiting for my refund 3-5 days before I can reorder a dishwasher I have decided to shop elsewhere indefinitely. Lowe’s, Menards, Ace, etc will have my business.

Adam: Dangerous appliance installs!Home Depot uses shady UFO 3rd party installers who give 0 cares. Told my spouse on delivery that the exhaust hose might not be long enough and of course within a week it completely falls off spraying carbon monoxide into the house and creating a fire hazard.Home Depot will take a week to fix something that never should happen. Don't make my mistake. Use a legit local company that employs their own installers.
Paul: Completely failed on the appliance delivery. They stated there was an accident near my house which is absolutely not true. Cancelled delivery ahead of scheduled window, so how they even could see the bogus accident. If they call you about the cancellation due to the accident, it most likely will be a simple lie. Buyers beware. Going to buy from Lowe’s instead
Dan Maly: Best in class. Of the three large similar supply stores, H-D has been doing the best job for us, lately. Large selections, competitive prices, good customer service, however, specialty sections (appliances) lacked in personnel (b/c as one employee put it: we can’t get quality people to come here and work). I thought that issue had gone away, but I keep seeing it again and again.
