Spectrum Health Hospice & Palliative Care: what do users think?
Sherri Orrell: We highly recommend Spectrum Health Hospice. We used them for my father. They respond quickly. They have multiple other services such as shower aides..Sandra and Stephanie were wonderful! a choir, and music therapy. (Amanda was outstanding! Truly blessed to have her come and sing and play music for my father) Follow through could be improved. And continuity was challenging at times (always someone different coming) We felt very supported during a difficult journey.
Val Wierenga: I highly recommend Spectrum hospice home Care. We have been so incredibly blessed with our care team. Our nurse is kind and compassionate, very loving. She treats my dad as if he were her dad and he loves her as well. The other person on our care team, the social worker, has been incredible as well very kind and compassionate. Both of them are wonderful Christian people with loving hearts. I'm not sure how we go through this journey without them. When my mother died we had a Emanual hospice, and they don't hold a candle to who we have going through this journey. They know who they are, and thank you for all you've been doing. You will always hold a special place in my heart.
Christine Chrisman: My mother is on Hospice care in Greenville through Spectrum Hospice. ABSOLUTE WORST priders i have ever saw! The RN is nothing more than a pill box filler, the social worker , well she does nothing and the aide has provided zero services for my mom. My mom hasen't had a bath or her hair washed in month's. They can't even cut her toenails. HORRIBLE CARE!!!!! If you don't care about your loved one, hire the, otherwise Google other Hospice services and find someone who provides better care!
Joni Christiansen: The level of professionalism, care, and compassion, displayed by our care team for our Gigi with Spectrum Health was nothing short of phenomenal. They met us right where we were at mentally and emotionally. Yes, ultimately they were caring for our grandmother, but the care they provided didn’t stop there-they took care of us, her family and caregivers too! Amanda Krum is an extraordinary nurse…Alexandria a marvelous social worker…and Ruzmir, Gigi’s massage therapist, was fantastic…along with Dominic who did her intake, Goldie who answered several calls for me…every member of the Spectrum Health Hospice team was great. I could never, ever have imagined the end of a life happening with such care and dignity. I will be forever grateful to the entire team.
护士Diane: My grandmother was signed up for Hospice by the doctors who gave her the wrong medications which were prescribed for another patient. Jill, the Registed nurse came to my grandmother's home to provide Hospice care. Jill lacked compassion for my grandmother and did not care about anything except a paycheck. Ending a life to her seem to be very pleasurable. She spoke for my grandmother and said she was in pain, when my grandmother clearly stated she was not. Jill rushed, and gave the medications to her anyway. Jill told the family one lie after the next. She lacks compassion, and see patients as a number. I would recommend training for Jill because she is lacking more than skills.
Sharlene Mosher: I cared for someone who had spectrum hospice and the nurse the person had seemed like all she was there for was a paycheck! Begged multiple times to up the time between morphine to only get turned down, she allowed it every 4 hours and anyone who knows anything about morphine it's quick acting but out of a person's system in 1 hour so I watched my client suffer for 3 hours until he could have more! I'm sorry but for end of life care I would never reccomend spectrum!
Susie Tincknell Smith: Stephanie, RN was our angel of Mercy. She stayed with my mother three hours until she had Mom’s pain under control. This was our third experience with Spectrum Health Hospice. Their compassionate and professional care is unmatched.
Nancy A McArthur: The care, respect, and love given was our only (on earth) soothing balm during such a difficult time. Our family member who died received incredible compassion and care. We know we can contact this Hospice when we have a need.
The Jonkmans: I am so thankful for the Hospice team that walked with us through the final days of my mother's cancer. I can't imagine having gone through this experience without them. They worked well with the staff of the facility in which she resided. We had quick provision of equipment needs, frequent assistance with personal hygiene, and quick response time. They carefully took care of my mother's needs, kept her from pain, and eased breathing problems. Communication between staff and family was excellent. Pastoral visits for my mom were nice in addition to her own church support system.
Shirley Floria: I want to say that my families experience with Spectrum Hospice has been wonderful. They helped all of understand what we signed up for. My father was 97 years old and was in hospice for 10 months. Our nurses and social worker kept us updated on what was going on. My dad was a remarkable man and he loved his nurse Bonnie and social worker Sharon. He felt like they were family and so did my husband and I. I liked that they set us up with a volunteer named Beth. Beth wrote my fathers story called My Life. My dad enjoyed Beth's visits and talked to her about his life. Beth also was so nice that it was hard not to think of her as family. I believe because my father understood what was happening and was kept informed it helped make things go a little smoother. I want to say to those who helped with my father Thomas Barnett thank you and god bless. It takes special people to do the things that you all do and I believe that you are all special.

Faith Hospice: what do users think?
Michele Harken: My dad just passed away a couple weeks ago and we absolutely loved trillium! They really are the best and took such great care of my dad. We felt so comfortable the whole time having them by our sides. My dad went very peacefully thanks to them!
Brian Wilson: My company, Leaves Personal Care, has been honored to work with Faith Hospice on numerous occasions and have always found their staff to be wonderful advocates and compassionate carers. We're grateful for Faith Hospice!
Teri Irwin: Faith Hospice really did a good job for my mother. They were always just a phone call away and their nurses were so helpful and understanding. I would definitely recommend them when someone is terminally ill.
Michele Geldersma: Amazing counselors, great resources!
Mara Marsman: Faith Hospice was so helpful and comforting as we went through the process of my dad's final months. Their knowledge and compassion were invaluable. I highly recommend them and suggest that families contact them sooner rather than later. They can help make a difficult process much easier and more meaningful.
Dominic Merlington: Very caring, respectful, dedicated people involved in the care if my mother. They also provided that same level of care for a close friend. Even offer support after my mother passed.
Linda Hoffman: Compassionate, supportive care for your loved one. Ongoing grief support for family and loved ones dealing with loss.
Scott Halquist: Great care and appreciate that it is a faith based hospice
Susan Olthof: My mom was a Faith Hospice patient for 5 weeks before she died. The staff did everything they could to make her last days on earth as comfortable as possible. The best thing they did was listen to her wants and desires for those last days. A week before she died, she knew that she knew she was requiring more care than I could provide (even with private duty aides) and asked to be moved to a skilled nursing facility. She asked for this move in the morning and her case manager made it happen by dinner time. All the staff we came in contact with were knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. Surely they were (and are!) the hands and feet of Jesus to their patients. Now I volunteer with Faith Hospice and continue to see the wonderful work they do. Highly recommend.
Rodger Rice: My wife died in 2017 after a two and a half year battle with brain cancer. For the last three months of her life, Faith Hospice was there for her and me. She remained at home until her last 10 days of life. Thanks, Faith Hospice. I couldn't have cared for her well enough without your help.My mother died in 2020. She lived in a nursing care facility. Faith Hospice was there for her for nearly a year. While the nursing staff were great, Faith Hospice's presence made a huge difference in her care. Quality of life at the end of life doesn't just happen. It takes a lot of skill and a huge commitment. Faith Hospice offered up both in an abundance.
Jessica VanDyke: These are the Lord's living loving servants ❤ I am forever grateful for these strong troops on the ground and in the trenches

Kindred Hospice: what do users think?
Allison Wakeman: Wonderful, knowledgeable staff! Ben in particular is the best contact. He can either give you what you're looking for or find you the right person!
Barbara Ramey: When my Dad's health deteriorated to the point that hospice was an option, my mother and I met with representatives from Kindred Hospice. Their services were explained and my mom decided to use their services. My Dad was quickly declining however we were determined to keep him at home if possible. After an assessment to confirm he was eligible, services quickly started in the form of nurse visits and caregiver visits twice a week each, as well as on-call services available 24/7 and a social worker. The care provided was invaluable and provided my mom with in-home assurances that my dad was receiving the best care possible. Magda (caregiver) and Gloria (nurse) treated my parents with respect and helped my dad be as comfortable as possible. When my father fell during the night the on-call nurse arrived quickly, confirmed there were no broken bones, and had my dad settled back into bed with medication to help him feel better in no time. It was all much less invasive than a trip to the hospital would have been. When my dad passed away (peacefully in his sleep), the on call nurse arrived to make final arrangements. Getting him moved to the funeral home was handled professionally and kindly in a way that helped my mom at a very difficult time.I highly recommend Kindred and truly appreciate all they did to help my parents in a difficult situation. My dad was able to peacefully pass away at home and my mom knew that all had been done to ease his transition.
Pam Smith: Absolutely horrible company to work for. They don't care about their employees. They hire people off the street for more than they give people that have worked there for 5+ years. I would never support this company! Disgusting. And especially Heather the director. She has no compassion for her staff. There are much better places out there to work and support. Stay far away from kindred!!!!
Gordon Bellaire: Thank you for the wonderful care you provided our family member Lucille Downes during the past year. The medical care and support were outstanding. Someone was always available to respond to any questions and the team communicated frequently regarding our mom's health. Everyone was extremely kind during this difficult time. Your team is very appreciated.
Kelley Rapp: Very happy with my dad's care. Kindred made themselves available to all family members even after his passing. Health, social worker and chaplain services available. Dad could be a "tough bird," but his nurse handled him perfectly. Dad was very comfortable with him and enjoyed his sense of humor. Very comforting to know your dad is in good hands and relaxed in their care.
Elliot Talen: Kindred Hospice was a savior to my family during the passing of my grandmother. The team surrounds you with compassion and empathy during the most difficult time. Thank you, Kindred, for all you did for us!
Anita Smith: No responses to asked questions. Unable to leave text messages on weekends.
Sherry damon: Very disappointing.
Kathleen Hartley: We work with Kindred Hospice at our Assisted Living and Memory Care facility. They have always provided the best care for our residents and making sure they are comfortable at all times. The team has great communication to our care staff making it easy to provide upstanding care for all residents. We highly recommend their hospice services!
Ben Prins: Amazing local hospice! The care and compassion they provided my grandpa was truly a blessing. Our family is greatful for their care.
Cindi Warblow: Worthless
Tina Gutman: Recently had the opportunity to meet several staff members from this agency and was very impressed. From the receptionist to sales staff and leadership - everyone was very welcoming, kind, and genuine! What a great work family! You know a workplace is doing something right when walking in feels like coming home!
Melanie Fuentes: Thank you for your care to my family.

Grace Hospice Grand Rapids: what do users think?
A: This hospice helped my family more than I thought possible when my dad was dying in 2014. I was worried about a very religious hospice coming in & making my scientific dad feel bad. Steve the chaplain had talks with my dad & met him where he was at. He discussed science with him & the balance it can have with spirituality. This company will truly care for you like family. I cannot recommend them enough.
Jessica Kerr: Incredible nursing staff, always on call, great pain management. The nurses are very caring and always doing the most. They brought over art canvass’s and paint so we could have a girls paint night while my friend was bed ridden from cancer. They offered offer at home activities also and brought over all the supplies when they heard she liked art and crafting. They’re so sweet and very personable! Kaitlin(sp) is very kind and an outstanding nurse. Always on top of pain management and meds. She always ordered the supplies and had everything we could possibly need!
Kathleen Buchanan: Very helpful and friendly staff . The process was explained in detail . I could not of asked for better care .
Dylana Jenson: Grace hospice was unable to control my mother's pain. Many important details were never explained. I had to insist that they increase and change pain medication… In a very forceful way. It was not explained to me how to move my mother, when to dose her with medication, for example, before moving her. As I said above, many important details were left days into the process. My mother's passing could have been a lot less painful and smoother if I had used another company… Not Grace hospice. The nurses seemed very young and inexperienced. On top of that they had me sign a survey/recommendation form without filling it in .

Elara Caring: what do users think?
Sue Johnston: Many mistakes were made. We had respite care on a few occasions, medication orders weren't correct. Lack of communication was consistent throughout the whole process. I had a phone triage person diagnose a breathing issue as agonal breathing (over the phone) telling me my husband would be dying that day, but that I should already know that. He wasn't, it was stridor breathing and later told me the triage person didn't realize he was conscious (never asked). I just found out a month after his death that I'm entitled to 13 months of bereavement support. So far the "bereavement team" has sent a sympathy card and that is it. DON'T USE THEM FOR HOSPICE CARE!!
Doreen Farmer: Elara Caring provided wonderful, compassionate care for my Mother. Our nurse, Kristen, aka "the masked nurse" was a perfect fit for our family, she displayed great compassion, patience, and always put Mom's comfort and wishes first. She never rushed and always made us feel like Mom was her only patient. When Mom passed, Kristen took great care with her body, always honoring her. Thank you for allowing us to give Mom a respectful passing, listening to our memories and offering a wonderful, heartfelt prayer.
Andrea Nenni: Awesome hospice. They took care of both of my in laws. The nurse was so caring and compassionate!
Nancy Hicks: Wonderful hospice agency.
Stacy D: False advertisement all around within this company- There are no on-site nurses at Aurora Pond and medical assistants claim that they are nurses! The only nurses at the facility drive to the location and leave when finished with a "client" and they have been rude to my grandmother on multiple occasions.

Interim HealthCare of Grand Rapids MI: what do users think?
Daniel Hendrick: The most unreliable company I have ever dealt with! They provided "in home" healthcare for my mother. Two, two hour shifts were paid for through the Area Agency on Aging and the rest of the shifts were out of pocket. Their first date of service was October 13, 2014. Their final day was January 12, 2015. Between those dates they had 11 no-shows. There is no accountability in place and Interim doesn't know if their employees are at the site or not. One of the no-shows my mother, 77, quad bypass a year ago with Parkinson's called me at 1:00am from the floor [removed]. On several occasions I have asked to have Margaret Beck, owner, return my call and she did not. In fact the afternoon after my mother was on the floor I received a text message from Margaret's phone, it read: "Sir...please check your contact number for the agency or service that cares for your mother...this is a personal one...I hope she is ok...and that you straighten out the folks not doing their job... :)". I asked Margaret about the text message and she told me that she did not send it (yet it came from her phone number). If you care about a loved one and respect their wishes to stay at home instead of going into assisted living, Interim Healthcare of West Michigan is NOT the company for you. I would like to add that Interim canceled our services with the Area Agency on Aging with a two week notice, but never notified us that they were through with the out of pocket services . That would be five more two hour shifts per week. Which leaves us high and dry until we hire a reliable company. Never, ever use Interim!!***UPDATE***EIGHT years pass, and Interim responds to my review. It's nice to know that they are happy to discuss any issues, yes EIGHT years later. My mother has since died. Even their response legitimizes my review, think on that...
Aeriena Gilbert: I love working for this company!
SydTheScienceKid: I’ve worked for interim for over 2 years now. I have to say it’s an amazing job to have for any busy, young person. Agency isn’t for everyone but amount of learning experience and growth it provides is a game changer for any nurse. The flexibility in making my own schedule was a life-saver through the journey of having our first baby. The staff are so good at communicating through both messaging and phone calls. Mallory is my scheduler and as been nothing but responsive, understanding, and kind.
Jennifer Gervais: I have worked for Interim Staffing since February of 2018. I love the flexibility it offers. I am currently in school and can pick up shifts around my school and family schedule which is a huge plus. The schedulers are very quick to respond to messages, I will likely continue working for them for a long time.
Mike Kent: This is a really bad company to work for I can't say this about all schedulers, but Kale likes like to yell at us on the phone and edit past conversations.
Samantha Perez: I’ve been with this company for a few of years, and honestly have loved every minute of it. I’ve been to many different facilities and have done a bunch of different shifts with Homecare. Over the past few of years I’ve learned so many things I didn’t know before in previous years of healthcare, and have met some amazing people and created some wonderful friendships. Proud to be apart of this company, and any of my friends who are in the medical field I always recommend them to try working here. ♥️
Heather Shiffman: I absolutely love working for Interim. They have always helped make sure I've had the hours I need and then some. I also love their versatility. Skilled facilities, assisted living, and home care...they can help match you up to what area you are able to work. I would definitely recommend them to others in the health field whether as clients or them as an employer. I only wish I could give more than 5 🌟
Shiniece Horton: Sydney and Cassie work very hard to make sure shifts is cover when people called in or when they need people to work I really love both of lady’s
Rebecca Thornburg: Since working for this company I have learned a lot from other RA's going from different facilities or homes I've met a lot of kind people whenever I need help with something to do with HR they're always on top of it.I will recommend this job to anyone if you are willing to drive, pick your own hours and love to be with people this is your job for you.
Laure Smith: I have been with interim since just before the pandemic started. I could not have asked for a better opportunity. I love the flexibility and autonomy that working for them allows, and I have never in my time working with them had difficulty obtaining enough hours. Making the choice to work for interim has been good for me both personally and professionally. I have always been treated with utmost respect and professionalism by everyone at the office, if there has ever been an issue they have helped me work through it with understanding and compassion. Benefits and annual raises are fair and prompt.
Amy Race: I love the flexibility in working for Interim
marian kelsey: Easy scheduling and flexibility.
Orion Fletcher: Works with you to develop the schedule you need! Great pay that you don't normally get at Skilled !
Irene Munoz: I've worked for Interim just maybe a couple months short of being with them 2 years . I relocated out-of-state . I can't say enough of my time there , I was able to really make my own schedule , plenty of work hours and I could choose where and when I wanted to work . They were Always very understanding when I took time off to see my Family out -of - state . If I should return to Michigan again, I would definitely go back to Interim .
Andrew Boersma: I needed a nice change of pace from my old job and this was the best fit for me! The flexible schedule to build my own hours, perfect life/work balance, and the opportunities I have to grow here are amazing. I don't write many reviews but this place earned it!
Antoinette Burton: I’ve only been with Interim Healthcare company for about a month and when I tell you. I’ve been meeting nice genuine people. They’re willing to help you. I just love this company and would recommend it to anyone
Roni May: I cannot say enough good things about Interim Healthcare! Making the transition to this job has been the best thing I have ever done! The work-life balance they offer is wonderful, they really care about their team and everyone reaching their full potential and are so supportive! I started out as a Scheduling Staffing Assistant, and have grown to be a Recruiter!
McHaley Farr: I love working for Interim! Seriously, I've worked a lot of jobs, and I've never found a workplace so healthy. Work-life balance is emphasized, coworkers are kind and supportive, and the work itself is rewarding. I'm happy and I feel valued. Can't ask for much more :)
lashanda: Staff never show up. When they do they sleep and leave early!
Jodi Bajko: I couldn't have asked for a better Hospice experience. The director, nurses, social worker, and chaplin we Amazing! They were very kind, understanding, and extremely knowledgeable about the "whole person" care they provided for my father and our family. I give them my highest recommendation and I thank God that they were there to help us!
Adaline Williams: Kaylee has been so helpful and very responsive. I have had nothing but positive reaction through this process and look forward to working for this company.
