Especially the roasted veggies and even the bread and baba ganoush!Kid-friendliness: They have kid meals but the best was just ordering the sampler and giving some to them. More than enough food for all of us!

Gita Pita - Jefferson Av. - Grand Rapids: what do users think?
Alex Coss: Recommended dishes Greek Fries, Chicken Shawarma BowlMore
C Smith: Probably one of my favorite restaurants in GR. Food is amazing and fresh. Prices have raised significantly so we don't get to visit as much when it's around $40 for 2 for fast casual takeout. Staff will often take their time to acknowledge you're there but the owner is really nice. Street parking only but it's usually not bad if it's not rush hour. Don't sleep on this place, it is really good! Just don't expect it to be cheap!
Juan Puentes: Fast Service if you need to get a quick bite and also Very Cold AC inside which is perfect if you are walking during a sunny day around town. Now for food; love the Pita Steak Shawarma. Simple toppings, garlic sauce and come with great bread. Greek fries are perfectly fried.Always enjoy this place.
Taji Davis (Taj): Got the Falafel Rice Bowl and the rice wasn’t cooked all the way. This is my first time ordering and I’m never ordering from here again. Flavors were decent (5/10) but they were also a lil stingy with the sauce. I honestly tried eating it, but no. I’m also from Chicago so I may be a lil harsh.
Clayton: awesome food. great owners. i would bathe in the garlic sauce if i could.

Jamie Dehaan: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Falafel PitaMore
Eleanor Gatewood: I freaking loved the steak pita. Did not love the fries, (they were thin scallop sliced potatoes fried soggy- yum when you get it in a sauce) but slopped them down with that fantastic tzatziki. All of the sauces were excellent.Kid-friendliness: The dining room was empty at 6pm on a Monday, ideal for squawking kids
Raven G: 1st in person visit, I ordered the veggie sampler. I must admit I didn't think I'd get full but I couldn't even finish half of it! Service was exceptional!!! Chef was very helpful and informative of the dishes offered on the menu. The sampler consist of a variety of ingredients and a great mix adding a variety of flavors with every spoon!! I am very happy and full!! Thank you and will return again! ?Vegetarian options: Veggie bowl was compromised of Falafel

Zach Pociecha: Asked for no onions and other toppings to be removed and they were not, the dish was cold. Also small for the money. Taste - Eh

The Pita House: what do users think?
Ryeisha Yancy: The owner is very rude. And the food is not good.
mason macknick: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Original Gyro, Stuffed Grape Leaves, Cucumber SauceMore
D Turk: Despite some of the bad reviews I was craving a gyro so I decided to give it a try. Was not disappointed the gyro was delicious and huge. The building is small with only a few seats and the ladies behind the counter were very nice. It's set up like a build your own with plenty of choices. I Would recommend giving it a try decently be back when I come to town
Michael Negoescu: I was very disappointed on two fronts. First the price. Way overpriced for what you get. Even where I live in ca is more affordable. Second mediocre food. The fried Kibbee was soggy not crispy on the outside. The mini stuffed breads were microwaved reheated which is nothing compared to the real freshly made. The babaganoush was just ok , the bread that came with it was from a pre bought bag. Again such a disappointment especially for the price you pay. I would never go there again on my work trips.
T “Boots”: In a time when prices are astronomical and portions are smaller, which consumers are accepting, the expectation is taste and service should shine. My 20.00 Sammi combo was very bland and cold. I had enough pita and veggies leftover to make another sandwich, luckily I cooked Lamb for dinner Monday. My point is I used to have enough sandwich to cut in half, not this time. Will I eat there again, probably because I have been eating their gyros since Sammi was making them out of a corner store on Wealthy! Will I spend 20.00 on a combo? Absolutely not, speedway beverage and McDonald's value fry is still less expensive
Shelley Smith: Love this place and wish they could get more staff. Food is so good and love the people who work here!
Andrea Dewey: Food is delicious and we’ve loved going there for years, but they changed how you order so you can’t see the sandwich as it is prepared, they switched from Coke to Pepsi, and prices have gone up drastically. It was $45 for three sandwiches (one was a combo). The prices were high to start, but that’s outrageous. Unfortunately we won’t be able to eat there anymore with prices that high.
Cosmic Carley: Recommended dishes Greek Fries, Original Gyro, Chicken Burrito, Falafel Sandwich, Baklava, Falafel Sliders, Chicken Shawarma, Sami's Gyro and Spinach Pie, Gyro Salad, Cucumber Sauce, Hummus & Pita Chips, Chicken Strips and Fries, Veggie Plate, Gyro Platter with Hummus and Greek SaladMore
T Dunc: Clean place. Food was good. First time trying. Kind of pricey compared to other Greek restaurants in the area.Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Emil Alicic: Food is good, we asked for it grilled, but this woman who wasn't even helping us directly took the meat and kept interrupting the guy helping us and prevented him from properly doing his job.
John Shea: Amazing By far the best Mediterranean food in Grand Rapids: clean, great and friendly service. Super fresh delicious food at a great price! The falafel sandwich is Heavenly. Please come soon and tell your friends.
Stephen VanDuine: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Damir “Grof” Kesar: Pita House is one of my local favorites and has been since I first tried it who knows how many years ago, in a hurry you can never go wrong with Sami's. Some very good food that you can get and go in minutes. If you have more time on your hand I really recommend the platters, my favorite has always been the Shish Kabob Platter with lamb, rice, humus and babaghanooj. I have never once been able to eat it in one meal alone, so either good to share with another person or lunch the following morning (maybe a late night snack)Everything is always fresh and made in front of you so you know you are getting quality food.Parking: They have parking in front of the building
Garrett Gomez: Love this place! It's definitely my go to lunch spot.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Pamela Alburg: Do not and I repeat do not dine at this restaurant. They are always closed and a sign on their door with excuse after excuse as to why each time.
SunnyG: I will never purchase food from this place again! Ordered the Greek fries and they appeared to have been freezer burnt and they still cooked and sold them to me. Ordered a chicken wrap and the chicken appeared to be the chicken that didn't sell the week before. Check your food before leaving if your order is to go. Very disappointed because my two previous visits were good. Quality has definitely gone down and I could never eat here again after my last experience.
LikeSoTotallyHillary: Absolutely the best! I love their food so much! It's fabulous and scrumptious! I've been going to The Pita House for over 20 years and I have always had a great experience and the best meal ever!
Michael Clark: Friendly service, loved the food
Brandon O: Polite staff, not too busy with a nice section for sitting in. Food is top notch.
Mike Krammen: Was visiting family in Michigan this summer and stopped here after we got done with the mall. I purchased a gyro fountain drink and four falafel's. It was kinda expensive however I did not mind at all, I cant remember the total of the bill but it was well worth it. The gyro was huge and was able to include feta cheese on it total done deal. The Falafel was really good as well I shared with my mom and it was her first time trying the ball of goodness and she thought they were terrific as well. If you want a good gyro and some good falafel this is the place. The employees were nice and the food is amazing. I'm from Chicago and so is my family I know awesome food and this place is awesome.
