A1 Small Engine Repair: what do users think?
E S: They let me try out an old mower deck that ended up not fitting, and then let me return it. Much appreciated. Very helpful.
John Diehm: I dropped a lawn mower off for a tune-up, and they did $180 worth of repairs to it without even calling me to consult first. When I brought this up, the employee said it wasn't his problem. I ended up telling them to keep the mower, as it wasn't worth the repair cost. If you ever wondered why they have a constantly rotating selection of mowers/snowblower for sale, it's because they're greasy shakedown artists and do this often.
Rachael Luke: I do not recommend this place. My dad was told his generator would need around 800.00 dollars to repair this after they had it for six months, so we said no to repairs and took it home to look at ourselves. Glad we did because it turns out it only needed a pull rope to be replaced. Not sure how you can mix up a bad motor with a bad pull rope after 6 months of inspection I would think you would had seen it was a $6 pull rope.
Ron Read: Great the guys know there stuff
Jim Valykeo: Great guys over there. Always willing to help.
Frog Bro: So I don't like to do these things but since cordially The owner Randy wanted to leave his name in my voice message. Then you should probably keep tabs on your employees because I have told you employees several times that I could not afford the repair so to keep the merchandise and sell it and make what you can off of it. So maybe take the time to train your employees the right way and how to handle their customers. Cause it seems like you are very short on that part there.I'm glad to know that you at least sold it and made back what you could on it cause I'm guessing that's the way you do business so said in your voice message.Probably the last time I'm gonna be doing business with you at all. Probably also something to think about for future customers as well. it seems like you have some professional manners to build in etiquette of business.Happy Holidays 😊 👍
Barbara Law: Brought my snowblower in in September so it would be ready for winter. First snow, I fired it up. It ran so poorly it wouldn't even pull snow in much less blow it out. When I called, the man at the desk was extremely rude, told me to hurry up and get to the point and then hung up on me. I have to bring it back because they did the original work but I'll never take my machines there again.
Carlos Espinosa: Very helpful. I stopped by to see if they could match a bearing I was looking for. They took the time to help and actually found something that would work.
LYNN GRIFFIN: Was all the way up north.... they waited for me to drop off my old lawn mower. Now that's what customer service is about!!!! Great place.
james whalen: Very bad service unprofessional accuses their employees of stealing cash when it was the OWN employee of theirs running the front desk never acknowledged it never accepted the fact that the woman at the front desk could steal from them I wonder how they accepted the fact now they probably had to swallow it chew it up a little bit first sucks to really not know how much she did steal it would probably be amazing it would break records
Tony Garcia: Very rude people
Brian Workman: Awesome people. friendly and fair prices👍
Tyari Jones: Good place
Dry Dog: Randy is a good guys I buy parts that I need from him & it seems he has the parts that no one else has ..Thanks for the help Randy *****
Mathias Schutte: Love it
daniel salisbury: hi. i went here looking for a steering wheel for an older craftsman lawn mower. most places i went the parts were discontinued or on line. twice the price and 2-3 weeks delivery. the associate there looked at the steering wheel, went into the back for about 5 minutes and came out with a replacement steering wheel! half the cost for on line orders! these people are very knowledgeable, professional and courteous! I highly recommend A-1 for all your parts and maintenance needs! thank you.
Jacob Pauwels: Work was done in about 5 days, but over a holiday weekend so no problem there…. Price was fair but the office was very disorganized. They spent 20 minutes trying to find my ticket while I stood there holding my displeased toddler. Did not inspire confidence that they have things together…
ITS Nas: Not good at all very disappointed 😕
Marcus Fields: I just stopped in this place today. The people there are all very nice and a very cool gentleman helped me restrain my weed wacker he was very funny and did not charge me anything to help me do this. I will be back there for any and all my small engine repair needs I recommend this place highly.
tyler gort: Long story shortFixed everything but what was needed
Tim Palmbos: Great place...Very helpful

Forest Hills Small Engine Repair: what do users think?
Michael M: Local and very fairly priced.
Nathan Husby: Spoke with Bill about my snowblower auger not working asked if he could give me one tip, suggested the belt. Snowblower is working correctly now thanks Bill.
Pat Edinger: Excellent timely and great service. The owner is friendly, outgoing and able to estimate issues and do the work within the estimate. I've had several items fixed here and trust them implicitly. Would recommend to anyone needing accurate timely work on small engines.
Josh Martinez: Greatest small engine repair shop in West Michigan! Prices are fair, great guy and repairs are in a timely mater.
Greg Hayes: I sent my hand me down snowblower in to get a tuneup and was told that the issues with it for why it’s performance is falling short was due to faulty parts that are no longer available due to the age of the snowblower. I was provided a few options moving forward. I appreciated their professionalism and transparency greatly.
P: Awesome work, very nice guy. I just wish he wasn’t so busy all the time. Everyone is trying to give him business
Anthony Griffin: Knowledgeable, efficient and does the job right the first time. The only small engine repair shop I trust. Stop scrolling the reviews and just call.
Brown Dog: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueHad our push lawnmower repaired. Great experience. Our new go-to for small engine repair!
Dan Westerhof: My mower was having some trouble staying at speed. I got my mower back faster than promised and working well; all for a lower price than I had feared. The check in process takes a few minutes, but, balancing that against their prices and repair speed, it's a well earned five stars.
Jeff Harrison: Great service, very reasonably priced! Highly recommend.
Daniel Maclinbird: High quality work owner very honest, helpful, and trustworthy.
Ashley Troyer: We brought our mower in for a tune up and it runs like a dream now! Reasonable price and friendly service. Thank you, Bill!

Quality Small Engine Repair: what do users think?
Mike Vos: Chad has serviced my yard equipment for years. He’s always provided quality service with a smile.
Ian Wilson: The owner Mr. Chad is q very nice and respectful man and if you have had a bad experience he can be very easily misunderstood if he is having a bad day I actually do some occasional work there for him when it gets busy he does not rip people off and he works on what he accepts it is old and has problems he will recommend the equipment he sells he is looking for your best interest not trying to fix up something which will just break and then you'll he mad at him for taking your money and not saying anything.
Zac Erb: Don’t waste your time or money with this business.Owner will try and rip you off any way he can.
seth timmer: I would stay away. I have had my lawn mower serviced there a few times and one time he had it for two months and last time he was not able to do in a timely manner so I picked up the mower. When I picked it up he would not help me load it into my truck because he said his backed hurt. Had to wait for my wife to drive over to load the mower. Stay away
Dale Amerson: When I needed parts. He had them.
C M: Complete RIP OFF! Brand new snow blower that had some bad gas. The bill was $150. I can see $50-$75 to remove bad gas but $150??? And he was rude, didn’t update us with the problem for over a week. Will NEVER go back again. Beware of trusting that they will do the right thing.
April Sneathen: Very rude. Attempted to bring in our mower and he was uninterested in our business with rude comments and we walked out and he didn't seem to care.
Bill Gross: The best small engine place around
Jay V: Great people
Mark Angus: Good fixers
Eric Steinke: Rude, had a hose leak on a weed Wacker. Only wanted to sell me a new one. Not fix a 3 inch plastic tube. Will never be back
Justin Rogers: Poor customer service, was entitled on the phone. Did not make it seem like he wanted your business.
Ghost: Worst place to bring stuff in. Customer service is horrible. I own a biz and brought back blower that cracked on plastic cover said he'd get it replaced with warranty..... That was spring got it back in fall ! He said was waiting on part. No he wasn't,he was not waiting on part he was waiting on making a big enough order to make it worth shipping price. Called all summer,he lied about reason every time. When it was ready the assbag charged me a $20 late fee!Someday soon he will run out of customers new and old and hopefully out of biz. Bought thousands of dollars of new Echo equipment from him,now I buy elsewhere. If there was a rating below 1 star I'd highlight it. Stay away from bad Chad.
Jeff Muller: After I destroyed my lawnmower by mowing over 2 large inverted bolts...this place was able to fix it quickly, inexpensively and with a smile.
Chris Handley: Don't waste your time with this place. The guy that runs and owns it is a joke. He doesn't care what your problem is he just wants your money. Told him I was not interested in buying a brand new mower from him that I was looking to get my current mower just bare-bones running again. He acted like I was an inconvenience to him and that he really didn't care if he got my business. What an a**hole.
Teresa Heise: I sent my mechanic in to this shop for parts for my mower. The gentleman was rude, condescending, and seemed un-interested in answering questions. He seemed like he was more interested in getting back into the shop than good customer service.
Brian Pols: Horrible service AND work. In January 2013 we dropped off a 2006 wave runner we loaned for a holiday weekend to some friends who brought it back with a blown engine. None the less we paid over $ 3,000.00 up front to fix the wave runner and we were given the wave runner back 3 times since 2013 and each time he stated it was fixed and it wasn't. Each time we got it back and tried starting it and we couldn't get it started let alone run for a few minutes every time he brought it back. The first time he told us because the battery was bad. So we even went out and purchased a new marine battery and it still didn't work so he even tried blaming us for his lousy work. The last time he even stated he would "bring it for a test ride" and we got it back and didn't run. We have asked several times for our money back and he refused to refund it because "he has time into fixing it". Which seems really humorous seems how we still to this day have it back and running condition. None the less we are now leaving that decision up to the judge.
Jon Banfill: this place i go 2 times a month , great people to help you right when you walk in the door, this place has quality O.E.M parts, better service then Tom De Young Engine & Mower, ask this place and they help you get any parts u need.
Nathan Garrett: I will NEVER shop here. I have been to Chad's shop four times and all four times have been terrible customer service. This last visit takes the cake. After waiting for 30 minutes for him to look at the motor I brought in, we started to discuss the motor and what it would take to get it in good working order. After asking him how much to get it running again, he walked away without a word. 10 seconds later, after wondering where he went, I heard an air hose in the back of his shop. I walked over to where I could see, and sure enough, he was outside blowing off some equipment. Really? Weren't we just in the middle of a conversation? He said he would be right with me and proceeded to take the equipment out to a waiting customer, which I can understand had it not been in the middle of a consultation.Once I grabbed my motor to leave, five minutes later, I walk outside to my car. As I open the door, I see him helping a third customer who just pulled into the parking lot. They were talking over a busted lawn mower. ...thanks for confirming my decision to leave Chad.He is probably busy because he is on a busy intersection, and there are not a lot of other prevalent small engine repair shops around the area anymore. I bet most of his business is not from repeat customers though...Maybe he should hire someone for customer service, because it is not his strong suit. Two of the other times I went here, he was no where to be found in the middle of the day, during business hours...Go here at your own risk...

Steven Beauchamp: Ordered parts for my snow blower and they came in quick and easy. Looking for a lawn mower and accessories, will check what is new and financing.
Alec Kwapis: I was looking for a more commercial-oriented mower for my 1/3 acre of lawn and found this amazing place! They have a beautiful showroom with every type of mower, blower, timer (and more) on planet earth. The thing that stood out the most to me was how nice all the employees are and how excited they were for me when I bought my mower. That was really unique and I cant remember the last time I had such a great experience buying something so expensive. I will definitely be back for maintenance. The only issue I have is that it’s not lawn season yet so I can’t use my new mower!
