LeeLee Tran: You're better off spending a bit more money for a Y membership. If I knew the pool hours and gym hours were this restricted, I wouldn't have applied in the first place. I work day shift and was really looking forward to going swimming right afterwards but when I found out how their hours were, I'm upset that they don't have hours between 1 pm-5 pm available. Its even more restricting you're not allowed to get guest passes either. I'll be taking my business elsewhere

PJ Carroll: Buyer beware, this place quietly revokes perks and downgrades their best and longest customers. The only treadmill at this gym is the constant price increases. No loyalty here. If you have to ask how much it costs, they don't want your stench of poverty in their clubhouse.

Cheryl S: Not the same place it use to be.The music from the classes is played too loud and to say anything is a waste of time. And the workout equipment is situated too close together. MVP had potential to be a good workout facility but the management is lacking in leadership. Likely why the turnover of staff is high.
Susie Rigas: We usually just get the pool membership for the summer. The club allows you to put the rest of the membership on hold for only $8 a month per person instead of having to cancel and re-up the following year and pay the initial membership fee.
James Tucholski: Pricey, but honestly, the amenities make it worth it... if you use them and can go there enough. They have many pools, a big water slide, hot tub, and saunas - all very enjoyable.Staff are good, honest, quality people. I enjoy taking to them and learning from them. The group classes are free with membership and are a great way to fit guided exercise into your schedule.Lastly... if you can afford a personal trainer... they are great and worth it. Becky is amazing, but she is almost always fully loaded. I have nothing bad to say about the trainers and the staff.You will love it here!
Develop With Dominic: I come here every other day or more. Best facility in Grand Rapids. Worth the travel. A location downtown and off east Paris in GR. They offer military discounts also so I take advantage of that. Thanks MVP!

Kelly Brown: I love working out here! It's never too busy, the front desk staff is so nice, and you can not beat the price. There is every piece of equipment you could possibly need and then some. Never fighting for space on a rack or lifting platform and all the student athletes who workout there are courteous. The upstairs track & cardio machines are convenient for winter time too!
Ben Talsma: Great value for the money. Hours are not perfect, but if it works for you, it's a great facility.

Brady Harmsen: I joined Fitness 19 in February and I must say, it has passed my expectations. The gym is clean and maintained very well, which is so nice to lift in. The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help you out. I love the trainers at this gym. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. They have helped me achieve my fitness goals. Even if I’m not training with a specific trainer. One of the things that sets Fitness 19 apart from other gyms is that they provide a fitness assessment, which has been super helpful in allowing me create a workout plan that's meant to meat my needs. In concluding, I highly recommend Fitness 19 to anyone looking for a clean and awesome place to lift and start a journey to becoming fit and healthy.

Isaac: I absolutely love this gym but It’s been incredibly frustrating to continue my membership recently. The advantage to being a member at fitness 19 is the cheap price, and having the ability to deadlift/squat. Unfortunately this gym is so packed I haven’t even been able to do either of those for weeks. I often times find myself having to go around 8 or 9pm if I even want to use basic equipment it’s been so packed. At first I thought it was the New Years rush but it’s March… gym either needs to stop taking on new memberships, have a capacity(I’d recommend setting up an app for members to see capacity) , or remove the excess amount of treadmills and add more actual lifting equipment. Been a member for like 2 years and it’s heartbreaking to just never be able to workout.

Arsenal Fordemocracy: I swim here for swim team great experience, the problem is the showers don't work right now in the mens swim locker room, and the pools heater is broken, but when it does work it is rarely heated.

Daniel Schumaker: I've been going to this gym for almost 6 months now. It's never too busy and the assistant manager is super cool and will take the time to get to know you if you're willing to chat. She's actually been my personal trainer for the past few months. I've lost 10 pounds and I've gained muscle just going 3-4 times a week for 1.5hr. She also helps everyone around us when we are training to make sure they're lifting efficiently and safely. Shout out to Sam for being an above-and-beyond assistant manager and a fantastic personal trainer. This gym would not be the same without her, give her a raise!

Leanna Rittenhouse: I love this gym. It has all of the equipment i use in my usual workout routine and lots of weight lifting equipment as well. I also love that they’re 24/7.My only two drawbacks are (1) the rowing machine is super old and outdated and (2) the showers never seem to have hot water

Morgan Fisher: After my Snap fitness location closed, I was looking for another gym option that wasn’t constantly overflowing with people. I checked out just about every gym in the GR area, including other Snap locations, YMCA, GR City Gym, MVP, etc.All these other gyms were PACKED, and many had wait times for equipment. I knew about the Family Fitness up on Alpine but had no idea that they had this location. I walked in and was shocked by the size of the place. You can’t tell from the outside but this place is spacious. Free weights, cardio equipment, machines, squat racks, leg press and everything that I needed to check the boxes. Some of the equipment is older and a little squeaky but it gets the job done.I’ve been coming here for a while now. The mornings are quiet, a few regulars. 5PM has it’s usual small rush, but the space is large and it never interferes with workouts.Shirley is a great manager of the place, and she advocates for new equipment. Some of the equipment could use new replacements, so it’s nice to have someone who is paying attention to that kind of stuff.As long as I’m on the Westside, this will be my home gym.

Troy Harding: The hours are sometimes scattered but the gym has a ton of equipment that other gyms won't have. GHR machine, tank sled, reverse hack squat machine. Great location and big.
Chris Leach: I enjoyed my first workout here. This gym is larger than the other family fitness location Ive been working out at. It looks like they've got just about everything here to facilitate a variety of good workouts. It apandpeared to be clean and organized. I've got no complaints about this gym.

Hope this helpsI would visit again soon just to see if that water got warmed up😅
