Klumpps Luggage & Leather Rpr: what do users think?
Belinda Vrielink: Excellent work and quick as well
Jen: I only spoke to someone on the phone. But just that small interaction, I am DEFINITELY going to be giving them my business in the future.
Colleen Schmich: Always available to take in new projects
THE REAL LOS: Awesome job !!! 5 Stars !!!
Francine Robinson: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueFirst experience with this business - I recently got a new watch with leather watch band too big for my wrist - Klumpps put two extra holes in my watch band today, and charged me nothing! Also, flawless craftsmanship!
Margo Perry: Great knowledge of products and offers experience with services Great customer service.
Mathias Schutte: Great service
duke miller: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueKlumpps is a hidden gem in Grand Rapids. They are really friendly and professional. They repaired my leather dop Kit and it looks better than it did when it was new! I will be coming back with all my leather needs.
R M: Friendly and quick!
Michael O'Callaghan: I am very pleased with the high-quality, prompt and gracious care that my shoulder bag received at Klumpss Leather and luggage. Excellent value provided. Thankful for such a good option here in Grand Rapids. Highly recommended!
Jennifer Ohman: Took a carry on sized suitcase in. The teeth on the zipper were broken in 2 places after a recent trip. Probably would have been cheaper to replace the suitcase (and I was told this), but it's a cool pattern and I have the other matching pieces, so I wanted to keep it. Anyhow, I picked it up today (2 week turnaround) and the suitcase looks brand new! All the teeth have been fixed and it no longer looks like it's been through a rough airline handler! Will definitely return for luggage repairs if needed. Highly recommend!
Bernadette L. Hartfield: This place repair cost is very responsible.
Cameron Richard: doesn’t Pick up the phone
A T: I bring my Briggs and Riley Luggage here when they need repair. Friendly, quality and quick service! Briggs and Riley is the Best Luggage on the market.
Christian Hannesschlaeger: The business owner takes great care of your luggage and will give you honest feedback regarding your repairs.
Omer Childs: Nice fokes
Barry Camp: Pro: seemingly adequate work. Cons: seemingly less than honest in conduct of business. In early November, I inquired about repairing a $250 leather jacket, which needed to have the right-side cloth pocket replaced. (It was worn and ripped.) The person running the place stated it would cost about $30 and would take about 3 weeks to have ready. I brought it over and said I thought $30 was a bit pricey and he told me that's what it would cost, but he does good work. Reluctantly I dropped it off, and he reaffirmed it would be about 3 weeks.Three weeks came and gone, and no call. I waited another full week and called, and was told it was ready to pick up. Got no answer as to why I didn't get a call saying it was done, but part of it may have to do with the price - not $30, but $38! Really? For a pocket?!Then I get told I need to come quickly because he's going to close at 1:00 (even though the website says 2:00 close on Saturday). So now my lunch hour is screwed up too. I get there and ask him, how can his "estimate" be approaching 30% off in terms of cost and time to finish? Why not honor the estimate? Why wasn't I called? All he had to say, with an annoyed look on his face and an arrogant tone of voice, was: "Don't know what to tell you" to which I immediately said back "how about 'I'm sorry'?! Wouldn't that be a proper thing to do?" He not only sold me a ridiculously overpriced repair job, he liquidated all his good will with his poor attitude and in my view, dishonesty.I took a look at the jacket at home. The repair job seems OK, although... it's not the same material as the jacket originally had. Not a huge deal, but I would have preferred cotton rather than polyester (or whatever this stuff is), like the rest of the jacket has. So even there, I'm not satisfied.Bottom line for me: He did fix my jacket. But in my view he was misleading about price, misleading about time needed to repair, did not call me when it was done, does not keep business hours as advertised and was not very cordial (and borderline disrespectful) with his don't-give-a-**** attitude toward a paying customer.I do NOT recommend anyone do business with Klumpps.
Nick Demak: Not open when scheduled
Scott Walters: Do not take your luggage here. I brought in my newer Samsonite suit case to get fixed. It took 3 months and multiple calls to find out the status of the repair. When they said it was ready, Klumpps had installed a used part that didn t fit the slider, and then said its what Samsonite sent them. When I asked whey the part was already dirty, scratched and didn t fit, the owner just said its what they sent, if you think you can do better I will give you their phone number. They don t like dealing with us because we don t work for them . I called Samsonite, had the correct part in 1 week and fixed it myself. When I returned to Klumpps today to get my money back the owner refused to address the issue, refused to fix the holes that were left and claimed that a dirty, used, non-fitting part is what they sent. I asked if he would put a Ford part in a BMW if he knew if was wrong and pass if off to the customer as right and he said If it took 3 months to get it. Have a nice day .Do not use Klumpps. This is probably the worst example of a business that I ve ever run into.

Ashley: It's hard to find people who are truly good at their craft. Sam is one of them. I took my father-in-laws leather belt in to get fixed for my husband. Sam got it done in time for my husband's birthday and it looks great. High quality custom work. Also does great at repairing high end shoes. I Wouldn't take in shoes that are cheap, I wouldn't invest the money into fixing them.

Jim Mantakounis: Terrible customer relations stood in his store for five minutes or so he never once acknowledged me or greeted just kept on chit chatting with a friend. Guess he doesn't need the business
Bonnie Hitchingham: I had lifts put on several pairs of shoes. Excellent experience! The work was well done and ready when promised. The owner was personable and knowledgeable. I'll be back.
Tom Catania: I purchased a pair of Mezlan shoes in St Petersburg Florida. I wore them a couple of times. The soles were completely destroyed. Remy (The Shoe Doctor), repaired them to excellent condition.I traveled to Grand Rapids from Bridgman MI to go to The Cobbler. It was well worth the trip. I will, in the future return to The Cobbler for my leather repair needs.
Travis Kendrex: I’ve seen this guy at work and it’s clear that he truly cares, not just about the work but about the people that come into the shop. It’s places like this that make supporting local really worth it. It’s a great shop and a great part of the community.
therealsk8ter101: You guys should really look into accepting Apple Pay. Like cmon is 2022…
Victor Tengowski: The owner, Remy, is a pleasure to work with. He had a quick turn around with my tiny project and had some great suggestions for me. I will be a returning customer!
Marc Webber: I haven't picked up my boots yet but I'm confident in the owner's expertise to do a great job

I’m extremely happy with the work, and the quick turn around. I’ve heard it’s sometimes difficult to catch them open, but I called ahead and the process was very simple. Again, I’m thrilled with my boots!
Dave & Lis Van Harten: Excellent work. Highly recommend.
Carlos Mojica: Remy was friendly and knowledgeable in is craft of repairing shoe's and zippers. I will be returning again.
Craig W: Can’t say better things about Remy. I wear dress shoes everyday for work and on my first visit to The Cobbler I brought in a pair of my favorites and he was super honest with me, he’s like:“I can fix these but it’ll cost almost as much as if you just went and bought a new pair. Let me give you a card to call Johnston Murphy see if they can find you a pair just like this and if they can’t bring these back and I’ll fix them.”Super honest businessman, he’ll have my business forever now.
Jeen Na: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueWorked with Remy to get my favorite pair of leather boots fixed up. From the moment you walk in, you can tell that you will be in good hands. Would highly recommend.

Foot Works: what do users think?
That Guy: Excellent customer service very knowledgeable Will be giving them all future business
Sarah Joseph: Not great workmanship. I had my sandals re-soled. The uppers are now scuffed badly on the sides. It looks like they were already attached when they edge of the sole was ground down.I don’t think I would go back.
Barbara S. Brown: I had a heel put on and she did a good job so I brought in a sandel for a full sole lift. I asked for 5 mm. She wasn't able to grind it evenly so I asked her to do it again. That was after she put it back on the pick-up shelf when I had her assistant communicate the problem. Finally, she re-did the shoe, but it ended up 7mm instead of 5 and it took 6 months to get it back. I tried the shoe and it was uncomfortable on my back. In fact, it took several months for my back to straighten out. I later asked for a heel lift and she told me I'd need to get a full sole. Why would I do that if she couldn't do the first one? I had to take the sandel someplace else to get it fixed and pay more money. I would have preferred to have been told that she couldn't do it. In the end I was a guinea pig, used for practice, not getting what I paid for. I try to support new businesses, especially those of women, but this went off my radar! In response: No comparison. Never admitted amount was right. Never misjudged. See above about heel lift--already had one from you! I picked them up a year ago. False accusations won't help your business. I would think about how you treat your customers.
Sam Berens: Awesome service had my work boots fixed and back on my way in minutes. Will definitely go back for future repairs.
Mandy Benedict: The customer service is outstanding. They are very friendly. They are fair and reasonable with their pricing. They do amazing work. I would highly highly recommend them.
Madison Word: Liz was so helpful and fixed my shoes while so quick! I hardly noticed anytime had passed while petting her two adorable shop cats!!!!! Highly recommend
Robert Meringa: Elizabeth @ Footworks absolutely rocks! She has bailed me out more than once fixing my boys goalie gear and also a boat lift cover. So friendly, attentive to detail and just plain helpful! I know others who speak highly of their service as well. - One happy goalie dad
Mike Jacobs: Had 2 zippers fixed, one coat and a suitcase. They did the coat while I waited. It took maybe 5 minutes. I left the suitcase and they had it done in just an hour or so. Great customer service, good work and very friendly team. I'd recommend them any time.
Karen A Jaramillo: Excellent service, very friendly and efficient I recommend this place
Kate VanDyke: I had a pair of boots where the inside fabric on the heel was worn, reveling the hard plastic form of the shoe and they just sloppily sewed it instead of patching it, so that was really disappointing. However, I asked to have my boots fixed by the next time it snowed and they made great on that promise and the price was very fair. Unfortunately, my shoes are still unwearable after bringing them in.
Becky Tackett: Did an excellent job of replacing heel caps on a pair of high heels and the price was very reasonable...much lower than other shoe repairs in town.
Aubrey Bosgraaf: I broke a zipper on my husbands favorite shirt and need to get it fixed and found Foot Works online. Elizabeth quickly fixed my shirt while I was there and was so kind and helpful. Store was very clean and staff was friendly!
Sally Colby: I highly recommend this place and have used Foot Works for years now! Elizabeth and her staff are friendly and personable. She was able to fix several things that needed new zippers and replaced the velcro on my shoes and sealtbelt strap. She was able to cut off my dad's belt buckle and put snaps on 2 belts so I can interchange between them. I am so excited she put new life into that buckle.
Amy Brouwer: Absolutely amazing work. I never thought I would be able to wear my favorite boots ever again and now they look like brand new. Highly recommend.
Hugh Williams: Foot Works is one of a few shoe repair stores left. I phoned ahead. Elizabeth had what I needed. I arrived and a young woman was filling in. My item was waiting on the counter. Elizabeth had pulled it from the shelf and put my name on it. Wow. Great personal service. Foot Works is precisely the individual business we should support. Not the mega stores whose profits leave West Michigan.
Roxanna Fish: The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I dropped pants off for a simple button fix and was told they would be ready same day. I showed up the next morning, Thursday, to be told they weren't done but that day or the next. I showed up Friday morning, to find that they were closed with a sign on the door that they would be closed for the next week. Nothing was said prior to this sign. I showed up Monday morning, a week later, and still didn't have them done (these were for a photo shoot for my daughter). I asked for them back and the button I paid for, the owner? refused telling me that the money was a deposit and no button for me. After a brief argument...Fine, I turn to leave and she says "I'm sorry that I took my kids on vacation" very sarcastically. I turned and told her that she was unprofessional for not alerting her customers to her upcoming vacation so they could make other plans. She said I was harassing her and called the cops. The cops did come, a report has been filed and I am no longer welcome in her store. I repaired the pants myself in under five minutes. I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone.
Candace LadyCandyland Moore: ☆Resoled, repaired, & polished one of my favorites to brand new. Will definitely be coming back here for future shoe-tastic times☆
Abby Hildebrand: I rarely take time to leave reviews but I had the best customer service experience I may have ever had. I had a shoe emergency, the sole of my shoes literally almost came completely off of the shoe and I had no other shoes with me. I found this place online and not only were the woman friendly and welcoming but I believe the owners daughter was the one that literally offered me a pair of any shoes she had for sale to borrow so at least I had something to wear. Not only did she offer this she came around the corner, asked my size and got a new pair that still had tags and said….see if these work. I insisted on buying them after I wouldn’t let her win her offer of simply borrowing. I told her she was so sweet and kind and that more people like are needed in this world. To top it off a gentleman walks in as I am about to leave and asks if she still sold stamps. Apparently a couple years ago there was a different business there that sold stamps. She explained that he must have been thinking of the business that was here before her and that they didn’t sell stamps. She then asked him “how many” do you need and he responded, just one. She said she had one in her truck and went out and gave the gentleman her personal stamp.Tell me that’s not only amazing customer service but a beautiful hearted human being.
Jane Hilbrand: Fantastic service and super-great prices. The owner looked at my shoes and instead of my stop-gap suggestion, she permanently fixed both my shoes in MINUTES. I could not have asked for better service and will recommend Foot Works to anyone and everyone!
Jonathan Dubbink: Exceptional customer service and product quality. Will definitely be going back for all of my zipper, sewing, and shoe repair needs!
KT NTJ: BEWARE: Of fake “designer shoes” being sold here. They are telling people the shoes are authentic and selling them at “close to retail” prices. It’s a scam. Purchase those at your own risk!
