Grand Rapids Civic Theatre And School Of Theatre Arts: what do users think?
Jody Deems-McCargar (JDM): West Michigan is fortunate to have some world class community theatres such as GRCT.
Carol Small: Terrific venue! Went with my mom to see Something's Rotten, the show was fabulous, and even in the back rows the sound was great!
Rick Barker: Never disappointed. Actors are extremely talented, and sets are well done. You don't have to go to a big city for outstanding theater with The Civic Theater in Grand Rapids.
Kevin Elzinga: Love this place!
Isamarie Montañez: The chairs needs an update. They are very small. But it works its purpose i think.
Stephanie Davis: Puffs was awesome. We had a great time!
Scott Steele: We had a blast! The actors were amazing!
Josh Mulder: The theater is super nice, love how nice they keep it and the productions are always a great experience!
Donna Westerbrink: Been to a few shows here it is always a great experience!
Julie DeVoe: Once On This Island. Fantastic. Uplifting. The Civic is a treasure in our communitu.
Brittany Allen: I knew the musical, Once on this Island as a teenager when we did it over 20 years ago. What this cast did was so amazing and beautiful. I haven't seen a live performance in over 10 years and I took my 8 year old. It was her first experience seeing a live performance and she wants to go to more. Your cast was so exceptional. I am so happy this was her first experience in theatre. Such talent ❤️ Thank you to the cast and crew.
Mark Thompson: Every theatrical production I have experienced here has been amazing!
Steve Grody: Always very professional.
Skyler Boeve: I am a transgender female, I went there last night I was treated very kindly. I personally felt safe to be there and watch the show. The show was called "Once on This Island" and was absolutely beautiful. At the end everyone watching gave the amazing actors, actresses, and crew a standing ovation. Highly recommend to go to a play at the Civic Theater if your in GR or visiting the area and they have a Play going on.
Connie Marie: Great experience!
Jennifer Weiks-Parker: Loved it
Christopher Stanko: The quality of productions in our local theater blows my mind. I have never seen a show at Civic that didn't deliver everything a stage show should. So proud of this being in Grand Rapids. A gift for the whole community
Miranda Foreback: Fantastic atmosphere, food, cocktails, and service. Definitely going back!
Scott E: Saw Mary Poppins last weekend. They gave us a wonderful performance and we had a delightful evening.
Charlie Chapman: Wonderful production of Mary Poppins.
Adam Wateman: I saw Mary Poppins here a couple of weeks ago and it did not disappoint! The theater was beautiful and there is not a bad seat in the house.

Peter Martin Wege Theatre: what do users think?
Wendy Ljungren: Relatively small theater, which allows for excellent viewing of the ballet from almost all seats.
Tech Gole: Great venue! Not a bad seat in the place! Love it!
Krista Dunn: Great size, not a bad seat in the house. Fabulous experience.
eric adams: Such a great atmosphere. Always amazing productions in a very up close and quaint environment. Never pass up a show!
BDGR Manager: Fantastic theater.
denise McBurnett: Saw the Wizard of Oz...awesome place!
Rebecca Metelonis: Wonderful venue
Hope Baugher: It's so cool and fun and I like it 👌.
Paula McPhee: We loved the production on the Wizard of Oz! There's not a bad seat in the house. The ballet showcased the hard work of the Junior Ballet Company. Our 6 and 4 year olds were mesmerized!
Michele Geldersma: We saw Spooktacular! My granddaughters & I loved it. Very well done!!
Kathleen Seitz: Not a bad seat in the house. This is a fairly small, intimate theater, dedicated to the Grand Rapids Ballet, so even in the back row, you can see very clearly. The seats are also steep, so there is no problem seeing over the rows in front of you. Even my daughter, who is 7 has no trouble seeing without a booster seat here. The only downside is that there is no orchestra pit, so all of the music is through speakers. Any performances they do with the Grand Rapids Symphony have to be held at DeVos Performance Hall. The sound quality is still good, but it's just not the same as a live orchestra. The upside to this is more frequent performances and more affordable tickets in a theater with better viewing, so it's definitely a worthy trade. The restrooms have always been clean, and there is a coat room. Parking is also free across the street (between the bus depot and Amtrak station), but it does get full close to performance time, so you have to get there a little early. There is plenty of paid parking at the Founder's lot, which is only about a block away. This theater has gone a long way to making ballet affordable and easily accessible, and I have enjoyed all the performances I've seen here. My daughter even said she wanted season tickets from Santa this year.
Renae Hesselink: Very nice. Intimate theater attended a dinner event held on the stage.
Trisha Kivinen: Love this place! Amazing shows! They recently had an outdoor summerfest in their parking lot with dance groups from around Michigan. It was nice to see a glimpse of other dance companies. I still prefer classic ballet for the most part.
patricia morris: Excellent theater space to see the GR Ballet school performances. Very clean and comfortable.
Raimo Karhunen: Great place to watch the ballet
Carl Prieur: Always a joy
Roberta Tesmer: Went to see Johnny the Starfish, beautiful theater and amenities, crafts and fun for the kids!! Cheap $5 show, beautiful dancing, but the show was only 20 minutes, and it was a little confusing. For $5 it was a great value and again a beautiful theater!
MM Bercu: good
Tim Moody: This is a great venue. I took my wife there for valentine's day to watch a ballet. It is very intimate, there are no bad seats.
Susan Hall: Good performance not so good seating
Bob Pawloski: Nice place to watch the recital.
