Quentin Patterson: I would highly recommend Clean Eatz to anyone who is improving their lifestyle or dieting hard and it’s fit for all styles of eating! They have phenomenal meals plans that change weekly which keeps things interesting. Honestly takes the math out of the equation as it’s labeled correctly and cooked with quality and taste in mind! I was also impressed with freezer meals. They are never dry or taste old…give them a few minutes and they taste fresh. The hot meals they make from their menu are flawless! The Wraps and Burgers are 🔥🔥 Try it for yourself I promise it’s an impressive experience!

Jacob Barnes: I quite certainly had a most exquisite dining experience at this fine establishment. I dined with my family, and each member walked out the door with a healthily-contented stomach. The food was fresh, tasty, and perceivably prepared with the utmost care. The Chicken Pesto Wrap was filling but not unhealthy in the slightest. Our service was fantastic and accentuated a truly great meal experience.
Alec Wisecup: I’m in Clean Eatz in 28th St on a regular basis. So much so that the Clean Eatz Team feel like friends and we chat about everything when I come in.Great atmosphere, always clean and service is very fast! Meals are fresh if you order off the menu and the meal plan meals are also fresh and frozen for later enjoyment! I usually stop in once a week or every two weeks and pick up a few frozen meals for the busy days during the week. The meal plan menu is also really good. Doesn’t tasty salty like other meal plans out there. I do wish there was less high fat meals and more high protein meals to choose from! I know this is more of a Clean Eatz Corporation decision rather than a local owner decision. If you are looking for meals for the week and/or a quick healthy lunch that is made fresh and tastes WAY better than fast food then stop in and check it out!!!!
Sabrina Wadood: Great spot for a good lunch and the staff was great and service was exceptional! Highly recommend and we’ll be coming again :)
Chris Blair: Food is really good, but service is questionable. I just came in for lunch, waited for 5 minutes at the front to order and not single person was there the entire time. Very frustrating.
KILLy Munster: First visit I got the small Build a Bowl with Superfood Salad base & Bang Bang Shrimp with a side of Sweet Potato "Fries." Salad was light yet tasty, wrap was hearty & the Sweet Chili sauce on it was very good. The fries were a perfect portion for me & had the perfect amount of crispiness. Will definitely visit this restaurant again.
Tammy, Postma: Great food..great prices.
Leland Verburg: Not only is the food amazing the customer service they have in the Grand Rapids area is top of the line. The fact that they combine great food and great service will keep me as a loyal customer and advocate.
Cheyenne Patron-Anderson: Great customer service and I was also offered a free frozen meal which was delicious! Can’t wait to go back. Smoothie was great.
Kate Dietz: My husband and I used to get Hello Fresh delivered to our house, and we loved it and the food was great. BUT we have decided we wanted to try a more healthy, clean eating route instead, and watch our portions more.My husband found Clean Eatz and we were both so excited to try it! Since it's local, we can pick it up instead of waiting for a delivery. Also it's cheaper than Hello Fresh was!Well we just picked up our first weekly order: 15 meals (mix of lunch and dinners for the week) and had our first dinners last night. Both of us were shocked that something healthy could have so much flavor and could taste so good. We had our lunches today, and again I'm blown away at the taste and flavor. The portions are perfect for both of us. We also love how the meals are high in protein and low in fat. Makes counting macros, calories an absolute breeze, since all the information is available for you! And the best part - NO COOKING or cleaning up!!! I'm so grateful that we have something like this in our area. If you are thinking about trying it, but are not sold on the "warm-up" method, I'm telling you- you will not be disappointed!Vegetarian options: Available Dietary restrictions: Low carb options
Amanda Logan: I love all the choices at Clean Eatz! It’s so nice to have healthy food at affordable prices. Don’t forget to try their fresh made meal service or grab some frozen meals to have on hand!
Dean Frakes: First time trying this place and I was blown away. Alot of great meal options. I built a bowl with rice salmon and a cilantro lime sauce that tasted great. I'd also like to complement the infused raspberry tea. (Every meal comes with a drink in the cafe.) If your trying to eat healthier but your busy you need to check this place out.Vegetarian options: Alot of good vegetarian options. Grab and go is a time saver for sure.
Nathan: Pretty decent buffalo wraps
Christine Gross: Stopped by to pick up my meals! Yummy 😋Dine in: Yes Takeout: Yes …More
Jason Piskun: Was introduced to this place by my trainer. I go three times a week for shakes and grab 5 meals for the week and every time they are spot on exactly what I was hoping for. Great food, even better service. If you’re looking for healthy that actually tastes good on a go, check it out.
Eric: This food is perfect, thank you Clean Eatz

Root Farmacy: what do users think?
Jacqueline Dorchester: I have been validated! I have experienced some significant weight gain over the past few years and it has lead me to not feeling my best. After mentioning this to my primary doctor and gyno, both looked at my labs and found I was within "normal" range.I couldn't help but feel that was inaccurate. Something was going on. I was pretty positive it was my Thyroid. Enter Dr. Cici Carter and the Root Functional Medicine Team! They actually listen to me and with their more detailed bloodwork review found that things weren't normal.I cried! Having been told to eat healthier, exercise more, stress less was not working. Now, we have a plan. I just can't thank them nor recommend them enough.Do this for yourself! Listen to your body and find a place that will listen to you too.
Stacia Sleight: I couldn't be happier with my experience with Root!!! I have a skin condition called Vitiligo which is typically caused by an autoimmune issue and after speaking with a traditional rheumatologist the labs came back that I was perfectly healthy... although I saw some markers that were less than average which made me feel like I was never getting the full picture from my provider. So over the years, I've searched locally for a Functional Medicine Doctor and none of them fit my pretty hectic schedule (in-person appointments during working hours only) or budget (starting cost of $5k - PLUS labs). I found the Root membership through social media and instantly knew this is exactly what I needed to start my functional medicine journey!! I've been a member for a few months now and couldn't recommend it more highly. You get access to high-quality labs that ACTUALLY tell you about the levels in your body and what they mean... instead of what I've previously heard from Doctor's: "you're healthy". I've also been on video calls with real MD's and dietitians each month that help me progress through my plan. I also love their online community - I have felt 100% supported and cared for during my time "getting to the root" and can't wait to see more progress. Thank you Root team!!
Kenzie Schmaltz: I would not recommend Root to anyone who is trying to put their SIBO into remission. I wasted 3 valuable months of healing. First of all, none of the doctors believe in breath testing which is the current non-invasive gold standard for detecting SIBO. That was the first question my husband and I asked and both Dr. Cordes and Dr. Armstrong said "breath testing isn't very accurate." The literature for breath testing has been out there for a long time now and most functional practitioners would agree on the importance of breath testing with the addition of stool testing. They trust the GI-Map to tell you what's going on in the small bowel when medically and anatomically that isn't possible. You can only "suspect."Root also does not know how to adapt to treatments. They give you one treatment and check back once per month and then when you are done and you aren't better at 3 months, that's it. SIBO can require multiple rounds of treatment so a follow-up breath test after treatment is also very important to see progress.I wasted 3 months treating SIBO with Root and after leaving Root my methane levels were 4x higher then when I started. After reading the top SIBO / IBS researcher & doctor's book 'The Microbiome Connection' by Dr. Pimentel and Dr. Siebecker's treatment protocols that are accessible for free. I was able to treat SIBO correctly. I've also been helping a friend who has been going to Root for treatment finally see her own progress in SIBO when Root dropped the ball for her.If they would have breath tested and given me a proper round of Methane treatment like Rifaximin and Allicin or Rifaximin and Flagyl/Neomycin I would have been far less reactive since SIBO was exacerbating my MCAS symptoms and 1 round has cut my Methane numbers in half. Instead, they gave me a 8 week long treatment with a lot of supplements that Dr. Cordes said to take all at the same time instead of bringing in each supplement one by one to understand if it's helping or worsening symptoms. This is not recommended practice by any top SIBO practitioner for obvious reasons. The treatment was also not one of the ones that is recommended for methane IMO by Dr. Siebecker who has been the leader in functional SIBO research for decades longer then Root has been around.Unfortunately, they cost me not just time but so much unnecessary pain. They have one person on their whole team who should be calling the shots for the whole clinic and that is Gracie. She is the nutritionist who knows a lot more about SIBO then the treating doctors do. She personally has experienced it and gone through it herself. They gave us an appointment with Gracie at the last possible moment in our Get to the Root program and she gave us a completely different treatment plan that included all these treatments I had brought up with Dr. Cordes and were dismissed. That treatment wasn't even applicable because a follow-up Trio-smart breath test showed they were once again treating the wrong thing which further solidifies the need for breath testing. Don't waste your money here, you will only be left disappointed.
Lauren Nelson: Since 2018 I had been experiencing irregular periods, weight gain, fatigue, along with other symptoms that various doctors would just simply tell me is PCOS and recommend I get on birth control. I had no interest in taking birth control and was hoping to find other ways to help manage symptoms but wasn't getting very far with just google searching on my own. Later in 2021, after basically demanding my doctor do a huge panel of blood tests on me, we found that I had Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. They put me on Synthroid (levothyroxine) but I'm not keen on being on medication for life and again was searching for other options to help with symptoms. After talking with Dr Emily Cordes about what was going on, I learned about how my diet/gut health, sleep and stress levels were all playing a role. I knew my stress lately had been out of control, and I've been aware of my gluten intolerance since 2014 but never realized how related they were to my hormones/periods. She recommended the supplement Ovasitol because typically women with PCOS also need support with glucose/insulin, as well as a probiotic, multi-vitamin, Omega3, selenium, NAC and magnesium glycinate at night. I took all of her recommendations to heart and within weeks things were taking a turn for the better. I started feeling like myself again! Even if my periods were still irregular, they weren't absent for months at a time like before. I was having less bloating, regular bowel movements, less fatigue, my skin looked better, I was maintaining my weight rather than gaining, and sleeping better. I was feeling like I had some control over my body again!I was also given a copy of The PCOS Thyroid Connection by Dr Erica Armstrong, a book that speaks directly to what I had. It was incredibly encouraging to understand what was going on inside my body and steps I could take (like nutrition, exercise and lifestyle changes) to help. If you have Hashimoto's and PCOS - I highly recommend you READ THIS BOOK!Today, I'm feeling more hopeful and healthy than ever, and I'm 9 weeks pregnant!! It was such a happy surprise (or should I say shock) because I didn't know if I would be able to conceive on my own. Dr Cordes was the first to hear when I received a positive pregnancy test. I'm continuing to follow the healthy diet and lifestyle that Root Functional Medicine helped me start throughout this pregnancy. So incredibly thankful for what Root is doing for women's health. There are certain things that traditional medicine can only treat by masking symptoms, but long term healing needs to go deeper. That's what they're doing - getting to the root issues for change.
Danielle Radulski: The support available in Root’s membership is unmatched — not only do you get to speak with both a doctor AND a dietitian, but they are extremely responsive and so helpful. It can be hard to know who you are REALLY working with within the functional medicine space, but Root’s transparency was a big driving factor in why I chose to work with them! I joined Root due to some chronic gut issues and bloating I was experiencing, and the lab panel that was included combined with the support - helped me find solutions to what I was going through after years of unanswered questions and symptoms. I am so grateful I found Root!
Brittany Willett: Working with the amazing team at Root Functional Medicine has been a life changing experience for me! When I first came to Root, I was unsure of what to expect. After over 10 years and countless dollars spent, I was starting to wonder if I would have to live with my unexplained health issues. I have struggled with irregular periods, hormonal imbalance, thyroid dysfunction, chronic gut health problems, and infertility. Right from the beginning, I was impressed with the vast knowledge and resources of the whole team at Root. It is so valuable to have the undivided attention of a health professional for a whole hour, and not just the 10-15 minutes afforded during a traditional appointment in conventional medicine practice. After doing a comprehensive lab panel and stool testing, Dr. Erica Armstrong was able to pinpoint the root cause of my health concerns. By addressing the dysfunction and not just the symptoms I was experiencing, she helped me improve my health through supplementation, diet, and lifestyle changes. The nutritional guidance of Amy Masterson was fundamental in helping me incorporate foods such as dairy and eggs that I had been avoiding for years due to gut issues like bloating, pain, and inflammation. I am thankful that both Erica and Amy worked together in coordinating and communicating with me throughout my time with Root. All of my expectations were surpassed by the phenomenal services, individualized approach, and friendly staff at Root Functional Medicine. They have been such a blessing. I would recommend it to anyone looking to transform their health!
karen myers: I'm a 68yo woman who was desperate for help after 6 months enduring chronic diarrhea! This occurred almost spontaneously following completion of The Whole 30 "diet". I never had an opportunity for the reintroduction phase as the multiple daily encounters with diarrhea now have taken over my life. My own attempts of control did nothing; however if I did not eat anything that decreased the episodes. I kept telling myself its my diet, that being only changed variable, plus now of course stress! My PCP was not helpful as she was not familiar with Whole30. I contacted an RN who now practices as Holistic Medicine Practitioner who did some muscle testing; referred me for further testing using NAET techniques but suffice to say, this did not resolve the "issue", my term now for myself. I finally dug more in the back of the Whole30 book where suggestions for help for "unresolved issues" the reader should consult a Functional Medicine Practitioner. Google search led me to Root Functional Medicine, local practice in GR area. I am old school and entered the door of their office to reassure myself this is a real place with people. One of my daughters was familiar with the practice's approach which reassumed me more. I was skeptical of all virtual visits. Besides my goal to end my "issue" was to learn WHY....this being nearly as important for my well being! Needless to say, I signed up for the Get to the Root Program; the up front fee was initially problematic for those of us on fixed incomes, however, I spent nearly identical dollars on recent auto repairs. If that can be justified, my broken body deserved more. I do not recall the timeline exactly but the online visits were very timely for one as desperate as myself. The results and knowledge gained have been phenomenal!!! I know what to eat and how to proceed. It is still early in my recovery but there has been a massive improvement and I have the knowledge to proceed on my own. I am more than grateful or appreciative for the skill and patience shown me in this journey and would shout out to the world and sign up - we do not have to live with "the issue" anymore - it can be resolved!!!
Marcy VanHouten: The team at Root Functional Medicine comprehensively tested, found the root cause, and then helped guide me in treating a hormonal acne problem that I have been dealing with for over 20 years. The team approach with doctors, dieticians and health coaches makes what they do so successful. Highly recommend trying Root if you find dead ends other places in your journey to healing. 5 Stars!
Krista Vanderzee: I started working with Dr. Cordes and Amy Masterson 15 months ago, after 17 years of anemia, poor gut health, exhaustion, and an eventual Hashimoto's diagnosis. I've been to many doctors and specialists over the years with the hope of treating various symptoms and getting more energy back to live my life. I've been given different medicines and supplements, told to drink more water, told that everyone feels tired sometimes, and made diet changes that didn't result in longterm healing. Dr. Cordes was the first doctor who really asked me questions about my experience in my own body and valued my knowledge and reporting on myself-- not just the numbers in lab work. Root doctors truly do the work of getting to the root cause, and they are dedicated to sticking with you through the journey, even when it's puzzling. Amy has given me insight into nutrition and supplements that I didn't think I needed-- I thought I was knowledgable about nutrition, but she tailored her teaching and recommendations to my specific needs in a way no book or article has ever done. With their help, I have seen positive changes in my iron and thyroid labs, reduced symptoms, and a greater sense of understanding about what my symptoms are communicating. Both Dr. Cordes and Amy have given me so much hope that I can heal, and have been encouraging and empathetic companions for the journey. Thank you, Root!
Lore Doezema: I am so grateful for Dr Cordes. I was diagnosed with Graves Hyperthyroid early in 2021 and was put on a low dose of Methimazole, which seemed to help. However, as the year progressed and started to feel worth. I had seen many different health professionals and had several tests done and was told that my symptoms have nothing to do with Graves. Diarrhea, extreme weight loss, migraine aura, anxiety, and more. I was told to take anxiety meds,...which I refused because I knew deep down that something physically was going on.I finally signed up for the Root Functional "Get to the Root program" in September of 2021 and I am so happy I did. Dr Cordes and Kelsey are a joy to work with and are very knowledgeable and they helped me to get feeling better. It was a rough road but now several month later I am back to myself.Words can't describe how grateful I am to Dr. Cordes. I thank God every day to have lead me to Root Functional Medicine.
kristen borst: Over the last couple years, I developed gut issues and symptoms of possible autoimmunity. After tests to rule out IBD came back normal, I decided to pursue the Get to the Root program to indeed explore root causes of these symptoms. Dr. Marzena Slater and Gracie have both been wonderful to work with; they are empathetic and knowledgeable, and have approached my medical history and concerns holistically. They have been thorough with recommendations from lab and stool testing to supplements to food reintroductions, while also explaining the why’s and how’s behind them. I have noted improvement with food sensitivities, gut health and energy levels. Although I am still on a healing path, I’ve made good progress and have decided to continue with the Stay Grounded plan for additional support. I would highly recommend working with the Root team!
Katharine Cline: I could not have more great things to say about my experience with Root! Dr. Cordes and my dietician Gracie were so helpful in getting my bowel movements and my periods regular for the first time in my life. I had been dealing with painful and uncomfortable bloating for several years and feel like a new person. I would highly recommend to anyone struggling with IBS and/or PCOS.
Michael Wear: Great tasting clean healthy ready to go meals!
Tina Brooks: I am so happy to be under the care of an amazing group of healthcare professionals. Through the care of Dr. Armstrong and Kelsey, i have been guided with lifestyle changes that are lowering my cholesterol, have lowered my A1C and have improved my overall health. Using the MRT test and being guided in applying the LEAP Immunocalm diet, my symptoms have improved and I had a bonus of weight loss!! I continue to be in their care by subscribing to Root Meal Plans and health check ins as well. Functional Medicine looks at getting to the core of issues not just covering up the symptoms.
Rachel G.: I came to Root after being diagnosed with PCOS while TTC. I did not have a menstrual cycle at all and before moving forward with fertility treatments, I wanted to work on a long-term solution to my PCOS symptoms. I was cautiously optimistic when I began working with Amy Masterson since I had never had a natural menstrual cycle in my life.Amy was amazing! At each appointment she did a detailed review of any test results I had and answered all my questions. She recommended a gut health test and ultimately put me on a gut healing protocol to address a number of issues that I had. After following Amy’s recommendations regarding lifestyle changes, diet and supplements over several months so many of my PCOS symptoms have resolved or greatly improved and last week I got my first natural period ever! I am so grateful for Amy’s help & expertise and would recommend Root to anyone suffering with PCOS.
Stephanie Ostling Mason: Many things attracted me to Root Functional Medicine: the credentials of the providers, the fact that it's female-led and female-focused, their specialties in gut, thyroid, and female health, and the integration of nutrition and dietitians. I have been a patient of Root for 5 months and have already seen many positive results! Symptoms I had been experiencing for 6+ years are either gone or nearly gone, and I'm feeling healthier, stronger, and more energized than I have in years. The providers and dietitians are caring, empathetic, encouraging, and knowledgeable, and they provide the comprehensive support needed to work through challenges and be successful. I would recommend this practice to any female who hasn't seen results from conventional approaches and is ready to heal her body through a natural, holistic team-based approach.
Maegan Amato: Amazing! I can not recommend Root Functional Medicine enough. Dr. Slater connected so many dots for me to better understand my symptoms/diagnoses and also to eliminate my symptoms (while i eliminated medication). She brought everything together and I could tell she spent a lot of time understanding my history, medical diagnoses, family medical history, etc.For dieticians, I met with both Kelsey and Amy and they were both incredible to work with and extremely knowledgeable dieticians. They truly wanted to work with you to make you feel your best and it worked very well for me. They did not judge, or make unattainable goals, they explained the "why" behind every diet change in detail so I could really understand the impact. If you are even questioning if you should try Root, invest in yourself and do it. It is worth it and I would do it again and again.
Michael Dennis: I suffered several years with gastritis that I could never seem to get the right help or treatment for until I found Root Functional Medicine (Dr. Erica Armstrong & Amy Masterson). What an amazing experience and outcome. I'm so thankful to this team!
sophia rammal: This is the only place I’ve had long term success after seeing many other doctors. Dr. Erica, Amy and the whole team are amazing to work with.
Leanna Pelham: I came to Root trying to find my way out of my first ever experience with gastritis - the stress of 2020 did a real number on my system. I had been on PPI's for a few months but I could not get off the medication without feeling awful. The team of Dr. Armstrong and Dietician Kelsey Stricklen were amazing. They helped me get a full picture of my health and created a very clear plan. Over the next two months with their help and careful guidance I was able to ween off of the PPI's and get back to feeling like myself again. What a gift they are to Grand Rapids! I can't imagine where I would be today without them.
Rebecca Maguire: If you are at all on the fence about reaching out to Root Functional Medicine, I strongly encourage you to!!! My mother and I have both seen Dr. Armstrong and her team of dietitians, and have benefited tremendously!!! I cannot share enough about how AMAZINGLY personalized the entire experience is! THIS is what ALL medical care should be. I am a 32yr old mom of three young children and I sadly developed Hashimoto's Disease, hypothyroidism, issues with low progesterone and a slew of symptoms. Not only did other doctors tell me I was “just fine” and “just a tired mom”, they dismissed my many symptoms... Dr. Armstrong and her team of dietitians truly saved me... feeling helpless just less than one year ago, I now feel like my old self, but even BETTER!!! They have dug deep, ran testing that I had never heard of, identified CAUSES and VALIDATED me and my list of symptoms. Then, they worked to not only heal me, but have taught me how to maintain it! It’s brought me to tears many times, just revisiting how far they have all helped me come. ❤️

Dinner Girl Llc: what do users think?
Dan H: There's nothing quite like home-cooked food, and DinnerGirl makes it happen for us when we can't. Angie's food has been fresh, delicious, and affordable. She's quick to respond to questions and friendly too. I found DinnerGirl on google and bought three weeks' worth up front based on the facebook reviews. I have not been disappointed. Most of the dishes come ready to pop in the oven with zero prep (which is huge for us), and the few that do require some prep are simple things that only take a few minutes (eg, heating up some pre-cooked and seasoned meat and rice and dumping it together). The oven meals all come in aluminum pans, which I really appreciate because I worry about the plastics used by other services leaching into the food when cooked in the oven.We found ourselves falling back on takeout entirely too often because we've had a huge time crunch for the past few months, and with our deliveries from DinnerGirl, we've been able to add some meals that are fresher and healthier back into the mix. Thank you!(PS - be sure to get the pulled chicken & salad, which is available every week ... it's great!)
Mary Kent: Thank you Angie! I really appreciate everything and as usual the meals are wonderful🥗💙😊
