Charlesbrook Protection Services: what do users think?
Nicolai Minsk: They don't answer.
Deedee Hatchett: Great company
Rick Nicholson: Too many attitudes from the security staff.
Jeffery Lamb: AMAZING EMPLOYEES
Noah ines Torres: Positive:Professionalism
Tony Zadkiel: Had an interview Wednesday October 23 at noon arrived at noon. When I got there I was told to wait in the waiting area because the interviewer is on the phone 42 minutes later I’m still sitting in the waiting room in my opinion very unprofessional
Michael Stratton: Went in for a job interview. I have one year of security experience and am in excellent physical shape. The interview lasted maybe 80 seconds and they turned me down. A few weeks later I see they're still looking for employment. Gee, who's fault is that?
Tylor Perkins: I love working here, it's a blast
Cory Hier: I am the Property Manager at National Storage Centers - Alpine! This past summer we had a fire on-site that devastated my office and one entire unit section. The same day of the fire we put in a call to another security company that didn't last five minutes when they showed up. Then we called Charlesbrook, and they have been on-site ever since. Since our gate isn't operational, they've acted as our gate and then some! These guys are very professional and are 100% top notch. Ryan and his team are absolutely phenomenal. Brittany, Rick, and Tiffany to name a few of their team are absolutely outstanding and go above and beyond. Thank you guys!
Robert Upton: I would like to highly recommend the Charlesbrook Protection Services to your business or organization. We recently hired this agency to provide protection services at our event that featured valuable artwork and they did a wonderful job. This company is also a champion of diversity. I strongly recommend them to your business or organization.Robert Upton, Jr., Co-ChairNIA Centre
Crowne Plaza Grand Rapids Hotel: What a great company to work with! Our hotel had such a great experience with Charlesbrook Protection. Their professionalism and quality of work was beyond what could have hope for. I recommend Charlesbrook Protection to anyone!
Kim Vandriel: Absolutely love working with the Charlesbrook Team! They are extremely professional, passionate about their community and always work directly with event coordinators on a security plan that fits that specific events needs.
Megan Catcho: Charlesbrook Protection does such an amazing job making sure everyone is safe. We use Ryan and his team for large events and couldn't be happier! They're professional, easy to work with and a HUGE help!
Don Tucker: We own and operate a campground/RV park in the beautiful Silver Lake Sand Dunes about an hour and half from Grand Rapids. Ryan, Matt, Traverse, Jenni, Dominic, and ALL the staff have been amazing to work with. The communication and support from Charlesbrook is just wonderful and they quickly became a welcome addition to our team. Ryan and the company are very organized and extremely good at communicating. We outlined very specific expectations and outcomes on how we run our park and they over delivered on all promises. The most positive collaboration is a security company that understands how important customer service is to a business. All of the officers have a wonderful approach with guests and guests have loved seeing them patrol the park. This company has a bright future.
Donovan Garbula: Charlesbrook is a great place to work. They expect professionalism and great work ethic to provide the best service for the client. Not only do we get paid better than any other security firm around us we get treated like we are cared about. While the owner has alot on his plate growing this company he is on top of things and puts all his time into making this a great company. It is a true honor to be apart of this team, i am looking foward to being apart of this company as it continues to grow larger every day. If you have had a bad experience working here, then you made it that way your self by not meeting company expectations.
Luvsmileys3: Great team of professionals. Reliable, strong work ethic and over all great company. Highly recommend.
Ryan Murphy: Highly professional. These were some of the nicest guys who surely could have turned around and shut down any potential threat. Our event could have been much more stressful without these guys controlling the doors.
Peter Vanderwier: Friendly and punctual, these men did a terrific job. Our event went well because the guards from Charlesbrook made everyone feel safe and secure. Great company to hire for any event, large or small.
Jamie Kirby: Excellent service. Very professional. Clear communicators. Easy to work with.
Amy Jarmer: Charlesbrook took a very difficult situation that we were having and made everyone feel comfortable and safe. They were very helpful and informative, highly trained and skilled. They kept everyone calm and worry free. I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you for all your assistance.
Cameron Burgess: Very professional, excellent work ethics, and has the utmost respect for all those around them. You'll be hard pressed to find a better security company anywhere. I highly recommend them if you have the need for security with your business, you won't be disappointed!!

Grand Rapids Police Department: what do users think?
Barbara Carr: Excellent communication and knowledge from all responding officers.
Jac: They don’t care at all :( wish they actually responded when people call for help
Matt Lovley: Honestly. 1 officer "tripped and fell"and almost shot a kid. 1 smh 1 "thought he heard a shot" when a pole cracked and almost shot the accident victim. And 1 shot someone in the back of the head for bad plates. Welcome to grand rapids
Lil Willie: I had to wait for hours for an officer to arrive after a car accident
chris cutting: It's evident that their budget has been cut to the point where there aren't enough officers, but tonight reminded me that there is still much room for improvement. Even when laws are being broken by people who are still on scene (four blocks from GRPD headquarters), they get upset when you report it, as was demonstrated tonight. We called because someone left their dog inside a car with the windows rolled up that was sitting in the sun for more than an hour on an 86 degree day. Dispatch said officers weren't going to do anything about it, and the person on the phone was clearly agitated that we called.Though the officers that respond to calls are friendly and are clearly stretched thin, there have been countless other instances where we've been pretty let down. It tends to always be on the back end of things. As a manager of a restaurant downtown, we've had to call for assistance on a regular basis. Once we called because an employee pulled a kitchen knife on another employee, and after multiple calls, nothing ever happened. We were told weeks later that an intern messed up when taking the call. Thank God we have staff trained to be able to handle things on our own. When police do respond and we say we'd like to press charges, we are told that they cannot help us with this, and that we must call and speak with a detective the following day to ensure this happens. It's common for us to not be able to get through to actually speak with someone directly. The vast majority of legitimate issues we call GRPD about result in no sufficient results. Adding to this are the consistent untimely response times. Officers have told us that they aren't able to respond because there's a more significant issue. We've even had officers leave our site mid conversation due to this and leave us hanging. There clearly needs to be more officers on the daily roster, but I believe the bigger issue is the organization of the department, and the training and structure on the back end. It's clearly setup in a way that prevents justice from occurring at the expense of the citizens who have to deal with the consequences. We have a list of unresolved case numbers that we wrote to the city manager about even. Only one of those cases panned out with prosecution, in which someone kicked our door in. Despite damage to our building and the assurance from them that we'd be compensated after the fact, we never received stated compensation. After a previous meeting with the captain that went well, I still believe we're on our own much of the time. I don't believe it's the captain's fault. It's the structure of the entire GRPD mixed with not having the resources available to create the change that's needed to be able to follow through and ensure that the citizens and businesses in Grand Rapids can, in fact, depend on our local police department to keep us safe.If you think defunding the police is a solution, you're clearly not in tune with the reality of how things operate. However, something needs to drastically change to ensure the citizens of Grand Rapids can have a safe city to live in.
jada reahm: Our officers are consistently showing that they think they’re above that law and that needs to end
Cameron: Sargent Albert was very patient and very helpful.
Derrick D. Simmons Sr.: Two years later and still no police presence and the News says it's because they have no gas. War Vet with no record and I think I need to buy some Police protection myself because all I see you doing is getting coffee and talking about nothing.
Lauren Tara: I don't trust any of these police officers.
rolly knevels: Still stinks of above the law folks.
Brandon Schleh: Poor choice in officers.
Rhonda Love: Car was in accident. Police were quick to respond and handled incident very well. Thank you!
Natural Earth: My special needs child has been abused by a perp whom I know. Getting functional help on this topic is difficult especially when my child can become non-verbal when extremly frustrated. I appreciate that the nice officer named "Zane" came and took a report, he trouble shooted questioning me about details and it had finally dawned upon me how to get the missing puzzle piece. This is important that I get an updated medical evaluation from her specialized medical provider - not the regular family doctor.
Erin Reynolds: I support the men and women of the GRPD!!!!They are always there for us when we need them!! Thank you GRPD!!!
James Haaksma: Thank you for your service! You all are incredibly well-trained and professional. We are blessed as a city to have the police force we do!
Shirley Goodspeed: They always help out when u need them
Kristana Beard: I have yet to have any problems with our Grand Rapids Police. In all my years of living in Grand Rapids the G.R police department is fast to respond and very thorough with questioning and fallowing up. Thank you Grand Rapids Police for putting your life on the line to protect victims and serving your communities by making our our neighborhoods safer and better. Thank you for your Service!
Lab The3rd: I had lost my keys so I checked to see if they were at the police department. While they were not there, they actually took the time to check their records for any items of that description while being very friendly. 5-Stars for sure!
jolimano: It should go without saying, but this is based on only my personal experience with GRPD. I called the non-emergency line to report my stolen wallet. I spoke to two different officers, and they were both helpful and professional. The first gentleman especially, and he was very willing to help me with my issue. Honestly, for something this small, I was cynical about being taken seriously but I can say with appreciation that I was wrong.
Austin Reinart: Saved me from my brother who tried to kill me literally thank u so much
Jody Deems-McCargar: Very responsive and surprisingly fast at getting to our house in light of of how many calls they must receive every morning. Very courteous and professional officers on the phone and in person.

Securitas Security Services USA: what do users think?
Laura Lafontsee: Uniforms are provided. Depending site or location work you may be required to work a full uniform or just a tear shirt or hoodie which they provide. The pay is based upon what the client is willing to pay. It's honest work, but you are going to work. Depending on the site and the volume the summer could be an incredibly busy on your feet hustling all day. It's not the company people it's a clients. Some clients don't want to be accommodating to restroom breaks so you have to wait for your breaks. It would be intelligent if Securitas would overlap staffing needs so restroom breaks wouldn't be an issue. They are fair if they need somebody and you can't or don't want to work it just say no. Nobody's forcing these people to 14 or 16 hour breaks if you have to go you have to go. Be courteous and professional and you'll do fine. Some of these sites summer is an incredibly busy high volume, you are going to get your hustle on. Makes the shift go faster.
Stephen Thornton: If like 14 hour days this your place
Rick Hasenbank: I was hired by them and everyone is professional and very nice.
Cara Quillin: It's an amazing company to work for 😍
David Middleton: I was able to interact with a couple of the security guards, and they get paid better than I did for doing the same line of work.
PastorAbc Chuck: Nice place
BigBurt-: Not sure if everyone but me had a bad experience, but for me the past year was simply the best job of my life. Corporate is super great and helpful, and my supervisors have always been top notch and always have my back. Securitas recently lost the contract that I was working at, and I was placed at a new site within no time, and with no hassle. If the google reviews really put you off of working for this company I would say take it with a very big grain of salt.
Mary Leduc: Terrible company to work for
Edward Bovard: A horrible place to work one of the war's companies that I have work for
Brelynn: They expect you to be at their beck and call 24/7. Despite filling out an application containing your availability Kristy (hiring manager?) will call you and ask you if you can work outside of your availability. Sorry, but most people have actual lives which include outside employment, school, or kids. They want you to be available all 7 days of the week, and willing to come in at any time. On top of this she is arrogant and speaks as though she knows what is best for you or your time.
Rene C. Mendoza: Great place to work
Brandon: If I could give negative stars I would. Your company in Muskegon are incompetent and corrupt. You fire the the one person who went above and beyond his job because your management can't get their stuff together, and they do not like the fact that they look bad in light of this employee. You turn over rate is ridiculous. Any other company would be freaking out, and do what they can to have a better reputation. But it seems Securitas does not mind having a poor reputation. At one point in time I thought about working for securitas, but now I am glad I did not.

DK Security: what do users think?
Definetlychipotle Chipotle: Oh behalf of everyone in Grand Rapids can you provide ur employees with basic parking??
Patrick Brown: Nice Company to work for.
D’onna King: The next event this security team is at, I'm going to walk away and not attend! Moving forward I will no longer suggest this company. While attending the GR Gold game today, I was refused entry because supposedly my purse is too big. Mind you 2 ladies after me walking through and was let in with the same exact purse I had it's just theirs was a YSL brand and my was a Gucci brand. My fiancé walked all the way back to the car just to put away a purse they later tell me I could've brought in the guy instead says he thought he saw a bigger purse while I was outside! So not only did he judge the size of the purse before actually seeing it but he refused entry due to the purse without actually seeing it. Yeah when another security team is hired then I'll attend the game! I wouldn't be complaining if 2 people right behind me who had the same purse wasn't let in. Oh I forgot to mention I had a backpack with me and they let my fiancé bring that in plus his Fanny pack but wouldn't let me put the purse inside the back pack smh! Just as a collective HORRIBLE
Neal Penny: To political
CJ Farmer: They DON'T do out-of-state fingerprinting. Just so you're aware. They were very nice though.
Jessica Lee Yoga: Katlyn was so nice and helpful, the establishment was clean and the service fast and top quality.
Patrick: The previous reviews are shocking to me! What I have observed is completely different. I see DK Security around town from the Van Andel Arena to the Airport, Fredrick Meijer Gardens, and even special events. In general, I am less than impressed with the customer facing appeal. Their trench working staff tend to have an immature dictatorial type of approach when working with the public that does seem to alienate most individuals. Their faded yellow shirts and blue military fatigues don’t scream safety, but really communicate how little DK Security really cares. My recommendation is to consider creating your own security division that is internal to your company or organization. That way you can control the culture with your own staff that are working under your own policies. It is not really that hard or necessarily more costly. There is an abundance of officers that are burned out with the odd hours of patrol work. Imagine how proud you could be as leader that develops not just a security program but expands your public connection with professionalism by not leaving it up to this less than par third party. Anyways, my two cents supporting my two-star review of DK Security.
Kelsey Smith: I've attended a lot of events where DK has provided the security, and they were incredible. Very friendly and approachable; they made me feel really safe during busy events and also hectic concert crowds.
miru: Been to a few locations and the employees are very nice and helpfull.
Nikk Valentine: Nice company great hr department and pays well..but they will get super up in your private medical records
Blake Brinks: Positive:ProfessionalismThey look very professional and they do their jobs well. Would recommend
Kyle Boes: Positive:ProfessionalismI have been to many events over the past few years at Van Andel Arena and 20 Monroe live. I have had nothing but great interactions with the guards there. They have been professional and friendly.
Alex Benda: Positive:ProfessionalismA professional partner we love to work with. Would strongly encourage that if you are in the market for their services you need not look further.
Jayme Nunn: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueDK Security is a great company of hardworking professionals! Their operations teams are highly responsive and dedicated to ensure any small-scale or large-scale client needs are met, even throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
M KS: Positive:ProfessionalismThis is one great company. Everyone is professional, and really cares about their employees and the community they're serving.
Shannon Frere: Great security company. Trains it's guards well. I would recommend for single event and long term security.
EIRP Security: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessAmazing company! Super professional and always willing to go the extra mile for the clients and their employees!
Annie Morren: Positive:ProfessionalismI’ve seen a lot of the employees around and they are always so friendly! Impressed with the high level of security this company provides.
Steven Beauchamp: Great people to work with! Uniforms could be better fitting, "button hole" where badge is worn.
Laura Jennings: Encountered a gentleman who works for D K Security at the Secretary of State office in Kalamazoo on Stadium Dr. While I understand that office was handling the work of another office due to an emergency, there was no reason for him to be rude. When people would walk up to the area to get checked in (which was outside in the sun). He would yellbat then, "do you have an appointment" and then very sternly would say "get up here" to ask questions about their appointment. Everyone was asked to repeatedly to state their name, both first and last very loudly. (HIPPA)A simple please and thank you goes a long way with customer service.
Dawn Stauffer: We hired Dk to remove people from our meeting who get out of hand and make them leave. I asked for someone who would actually escort the person who was getting out of hand. Many disturbances happened and nothing I asked for from DK happened. They did more communicating with the people getting out of hand and tolerated their actions instead of making them leave like we hired them to do. And because of that someone almost got assaulted. I would never use DK again.
