Mai's Thai: what do users think?
Jeff Shapter: Extremely disappointed with the food. The pad thai had almost no sauce, barely any peanuts, and only 2 or 3 pieces of chicken. $17 for a "dinner" portion of unsauced noodles wasn't worth it at all.Didn't get the side of broccoli I ordered. The crab rangoons were somehow both hard (but not crispy) and unpleasantly chewy, like they had been fried off an hour ago and sat on the bench.Roommate ordered something with shrimp and the smell was overpowering as soon as the container came out of the bag. The shrimp was definitely right on the edge of going off.
Crystle Parker: First time there. Ask what was recommended. He couldn't/wouldn't. Told them I couldn't have nuts. Sprinkle of nuts. Crab Rangoon wasn't hot. Seemed like it was leftover from lunch. Afterwards I discovered the fixtures in the bathroom were filthy as was the main door leaving.Food: 3/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
hi Ari: Ordered pho & spring roll. Pho was ok. The spring roll was full of noodles & oil. Gross! If they are trying to cut corners customers are noticing! Why would I spend my money here in this climate where everything is expensive.
Noah Paris: I stopped in here to get some crab Rangoon‘s after work one day at about 6 o’clock, got home, and I hate to say it they were the worst ones I’ve ever had, they were really hard, and the only soft spot was the very bottom where the stuffing was…. I was really hoping it was gonna be a better price is right by my house but unfortunately I wasn’t that lucky. The service was great, and everyone was really nice
Richelle Smith: Thai fried rice is yum!!
Anthony: Don’t use Uber eats it’s cheaper to call and have them deliver themselves.Very very delicious. some of the best curry pad Thai I’ve ever had. And actually spicy. You know when you order from an Asian restaurant and ask for it spicy and a lot of times it isn’t? This actually had a nice kickAlso had fried rice crab Rangoon and spring roll. Middle of the road for me good stuff will be going back
Theresa Alger: Our meal choices were delicious! We will be ordering more since the flavor is worth coming back for over and over.Vegetarian options: The tofu in our Green Curry dish was perfectly prepared. Mai Thai not only offers very affordable menu options but also manage to prepare high quality meals.
Isaac: Just went here and ordered the peanut curry dish. I have been here a few times but this will definitely be my last. The person on the phone barely understood me but thats normal at these restaurants. I arrived at the window and the guy that processed the payment was vary weird. I only asked 1 question and he looked at me like i was crazy. This dish cost me $14.50 the container was vary empty with little substance. The rice was chewy and the peanut sauce with little flavor. I tried to make this place work but with red bowl a half a mile further. I will be going there instead. They have large portions and rich flavor for only around $9 a bowl.
Michael Dadd: Still drive through only. Service was prompt and did was as excellent as ever 👌Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5Recommended dishes Peanut Curry Noodles …More
Olivia Koch: The peanut curry noodles are my go-to takeout meal - they never fail me. The masaman curry is also banging. Not the absolute best Thai food I’ve ever had, but it always hits the spot and prices are pretty good.Recommended dishes Peanut Curry Noodles …More
Jalonda Mills: I went in I got some crab Rangoon and some egg rolls my food was hot . But I didn’t really like the crab Rangoon and I only got 4 of them for 5 dollars definitely not worth it
Christopher Wood: I got the ginger traditional with beef via ubereats. When it came to my door was all rice. The beef was extremely minimal. I paid ubereats over $20 for a plate of rice for my Friday meal. 100% unsatisfied. Never going back.
Jon: Food: 1/5|Service: 2/5More
Daniel Frederick: Delicious! Veggies were fresh and crisp, proteins were high quality, all cooked to perfection and smothered in outstanding curry sauces! Couldn't believe it took them 5 minutes! Very impressed
Trex Trex: I wish I took a pic of the chicken and broccoli dish. Super good. Thank you.
Elizabeth Jones: Friendly and quick service ☺️
Jordon Tomlinson: Convenient delicious food with good portion sizes.
Keisha Johnson: Protein portion sizes are terrible! Check your order before pulling away from the window! My husband and I love the chicken curry pad thai, but not once have I ever received more than 2 or 3 pieces of chicken. Today, I paid $3.18 per meal for extra chicken, and there's a whopping 5 pieces of chicken in EACH of mine and my husband's meals. Very disappointed, as this has happened to us numerous times. I'm not sure how they sleep at night charging people $3 per dish for extra meat and don't even supply the base amount that should come in the dish in the first place. I will not be giving them any more of my business, nor will I be recommending them to anyone in the future.
Joyce Harris: Ordered off menu from Door Dash; it was the wrong item. Didn't get what I wanted, but wasn't restaurant's fault. It was good, but still disappointing as it was full of broccoli and I especially didn't want that. Need to check on menu from Door Dash and correct it.
Delores Wilson-Ross: Fresh and tasty Panang shrimp curry paired deliciously with sticky rice. Medium spicy sauce was just right for these Anglo tastebuds.
Colleen Northouse: I've gotten several different dishes here on multiple occasions and they have all been delicious. The portions are really big too, I easily get two to three meals out of it.

Lai Thai Kitchen: what do users think?
Noah B: Wont be coming here again. Compared to thai chef they are worse in every way! They charge 4 dollars for a side of RICE. Quality of food and sizes are worse and prices are like 30% higher! This place used to be my favorite spot for thai food. When I asked them why things are so expensive they just blamed it on covid. I know for a fact it isnt. Quality went down and prices went up in the name of covid. They are simply a moneygrab with the excuse of covid 19

shelby huerta: Love this place! I got the yellow curry and my husband got the super crazy crispy pad Thai. Both medium spicy, both where super good! 10/10 recommend!

Nathan Eversole: This is normally our go to grub hub place. We just got a beef pad tai that tasted like the meat was several days old and a chicken curry with pink undercooked chicken in it. Not going to order from here again.Food: 1/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More

Daniel Schumaker: I go here all the time. They have a great variety of food, including mostly Thai but also Vietnamese and Chinese. Yes you can get the classic orange chicken and fried rice like you can at most Asian restaurants in West Michigan, except it's probably a step up from what you're used to. The krab rangoon is particularly good here too. But I highly encourage trying other things, I am a huge fan of their pad see ew, sweet and spicy and salty and delicious. The drunken noodles were also solid. Lastly I really enjoy their pineapple curry, I recommend getting all of the above with beef, the chicken was a little dry every now and then but the beef is usually nice and tender. I would confidently say it's the best food in the immediate area, only competing against a few other eateries like Vitale's and the dreaded Hunun Restaurant just down the street (don't go there, it's really cheap and really dry food). The only reason I don't give this place a full five stars is because they aren't as authentic as some other places in the greater GR area. They don't have pork, they don't have tendon, they don't have tripe, and other meats that are hard to find in West Michigan. Maybe I'm being a little nit-picky here, but I like having those options. Overall though you won't regret coming here. It's affordable and always delicious.

Krystal Farquharson: The food is always amazing here. Our service was ok. Our server was very chatty and over shared alot to the point we were patiently waiting for her to return to finish ordering our food. We had an appetizer delivered before we were able to place our drink order. She got "stuck" at the register speaking to a man about her Bob Dylan t-shirt and his Dylan impression for what seemed like 10 minutes or more. It was frustrating to listen to. She was lovely and did an great job, just seemed overtly chatty. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The kids love the fresh bubble tea and the brownie was decadent and rich. My youngest son decided he did not care for curry and we ordered an orange chicken to go. I always get the Tom Ka Gai, it's always delicious and hot! I will definitely order again, maybe not dine in.
Liz Pahl: BEST THAI FOOD EVER!! I’ve eaten at lots of thai restaurants, but this one is the best so far. I order from this restaurant almost every week and love all their dishes. My favorite is the crispy pad thai noodles and the peanut sauce. Portions are large so it makes good left overs! Staff is incredibly friendly :) 10/10 recommended especially if you love thai food like me!
Elspeth Lamont: phở was average, but the beef-vegetable dish was outstanding and crab rangoons better than I have had in this area. Highly recommend.Recommended dishes Fresh Spring Rolls, Crab Rangoon …More

Mindy Gorter: Angel was very happy to help me to get exactly what I wanted. Very informative on the menu and will make it to your liking.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
ME L: They were okay. I had the pineapple fried rice with vegetables. They don't use fresh vegetables. They use vegetables out of the can. Rangoons dont have a swee6taste.
Lilly Baker: I really enjoyed the food here. It took a little longer than we'd hoped but I was in a group of 7 and there were only a couple of people working. I got pad thai with beef and medium spicy and it was excellent. I wish the portion had been a little bit bigger, but I was still satisfied.

Jon: We ordered crab Rangoon, two spring rolls, their special noodles with chicken and veggies, and spicy sweet and sour chicken. The lady was super nice and helpful, but I had a few issues with the food. In both plates, there was hardly any chicken at all, maybe three ounces total in my soup and about the same in my girlfriends dish. The spring rolls were very, very small, about the width of a sharpie. The Rangoons were very good, though. The noodles were very tasty, but with the lack of protine and almost no vegetables, it was lacking any substance. Her sweet and sour was good, but she had, I think, only 3 or four small pieces of chicken. Not to mention, everything was served on foam plates with plastic forks and spoons, which I absolutely hate. If I'd have known that bit prior, I wouldn't have even gone in.
Jason Bui: Wonderful food tray
Gabriela Shirkey: Ordered delivery curry pad thai, regular pad thai, and a side of 5 piece rolls. They arrived dry like boiled noodles without sauce and very, very bland. Maybe it's intentional and better suited for delicate palettes, now that I see other reviews are saying the same.Food: 1/5 …More

Jared Cook: Extremely disappointing for what I paid for. Shockingly small portions for the price paid. Won't be coming back.
Billy Joe Jim Bob: Listen. This place was destroyed by the Michigan government shutting the entire state down and ruining the local economy for absolutely no reason. They’ve been forced to change a few things here to barely keep their head above water. A lot of business went down during and after the plandemic. Yeah they switched over to a take out oriented place. I have eaten here a hundred times. The food is still good. Went there today and the food was good as always. The people working here are good people.
Tyler Keller: Average thai placeWheelchair accessibility: Not very big space so takeout is idealFood: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
E Smith: Ordered drunken noodles with chicken. There was no chicken. Tom yum soup is too sour, tastes like it was made with mop water. I'm sorry to be harsh I am just shocked at how bad it is.
Trent Nielsen: Food: 5/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Brian Cunningham: Great place for lunch down town. Open Sunday too.
Brandon DeVault: Service was friendly, but the food was mediocre at best. You generally expect generous portions at a Thai place, but I was still hungry after spending about $12 for Beef Pad Thai. It was not busy at all - I was dining in, they had two other customers for take out while I was there, and the meal was served on a paper plate.
Billie Sanko: Thai is my favorite food and this was sub-par with little flavor served on Styrofoam. My drunken noodles tasted like really cheap chicken noodle soup with hardly any chicken. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but $35 for us to leave to have an enjoyable meal is ridiculous.
Elizabeth Radeck: Basil Thai Noodles with Crispy Tofu, SO GOOD! My usual order. This place is a gem highly reccomend coming downtown for this place.
Sarah Chamberlain: Why is my shrimp dyed with green dye? If it wasn’t for the spice I’m pretty that it would be awful
MaryBeth Van Till: Always a great place for lunch!!! I love the Masaman curry.
Kev Young: Ordered Drunken Noodles. Looked nothing like the photo. Asked for extra bean sprouts was told no problem.. didn't get them either. Pay at other places 10 to 13 bucks. This place was 15 something and only knocked down 10% with a student i.d.. ordered takeout and didn't look till I drove home.. sorry no photo of the Noodles they gave me..

Wok & Mortar: what do users think?
Mellissa Manzagol: The pad thai is not to die for unlike one of the other comments posted here. My carry-out came out like a cake, with very little chicken. I would return it but it is too long of a drive to do so.Normally I wouldn't post a negative review but this is the second time I've had a bad experience here. Don't go to places that have no other customers inside.

AAE. Russell: Best secret lunch spot! Excellent food.
Mani Singh: Best Asian Fusion in GR!This is my family’s favorite Friday dinner place. We come almost every weekend and now they know us by name. The family that runs it is super nice and accommodating to vegetarian and vegans — they’ll even make the sushi vegetarian. This place is truly a local gem and worth a visit. Their random hot sauce is pretty good but watch out for the chili oil — super hot. Pro tip: get the side soup with your entree.
Noah Sagritalo: Nice staff and good foodRecommended dishes …More
Jennifer Willis Adams: I ordered a bowl... sauce, protein, and rice. Took it to go. Got home.... no rice! I called and the only thing they will do you make it right is to have me drive back there... UPDATE! A lady called and apologized and made everything right. Changed the star rating to reflect this!
Eric Williams: Best peanut noodles!
Anna F: LOVE this place. The portions are super generous. I always get the Spanish Pad Thai with fried chicken, and it's always been good. Highly recommend!
Cindy: good service but bland veggies & salty noodles…😵‍💫
Charles Saunders: The food may end up being ok but as I sit here waiting for my order I decided to write a review.Sitting in the dining space listening to the employees rant on about rude customers and their view of such customers has lead to a sour atmosphere. That is all. Maybe think twice before laughing about customers who aren't happy with their food.
Paul O'Donnell: Sticky tables. Bland food. Asian-ish. Bored employees. Nobody there at lunchtime. So you won't have to fight the crowds.
Robert Borst: Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: Yes Takeout: Yes Delivery: NoMore
Christina VerWys: So I’ve been craving Chinese for a minute. Mind you I live in Hastings Mi so there’s not many options close so I’ll travel for my food. I’ve never been here and I read online it has a decent rating. This rating did not disappoint by any means. The lady at the front counter was super helpful in my ordering she was kind and relatable. Food was immaculate! I loved it! I was surprised with it being gluten free.
Bill Cleveland: Taking the bowl experience out of the Americas for an Asian flavor. Service good. Food even better. Plenty of seating if you want to eat in. Food served hot enough that it’s quite warm when you get your takeout to your own dining room.
maria Mendez: I'm hooked on it. Build my own, just how I like it.
Cecily Shi: Good food and good service!!! The whole wok and mortar team is wonderful. Thank you.
Txawj Pes Vaj: อาหารร้านนี้อร่อยมากๆๆๆๆ
Amber Borrello: Phenomenal customer service. Whether I am grabbing food from the restaurant or ordering on Uber eats, they always take care of me!! I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is phenomenal, you will not regret it!
