Spectrum Health Renucci Hospitality House: what do users think?
lisa cole: People were very helpful. The rooms were spotless affordable housing for the patients & families. The staff were awesome. They brought us extra blankets. Told us where we could get food ordered. It was an awesome exerience.
Angela Reterstoff: I love that my insurance will pay for my fees. It is like a normal house. They have a living room, dining room, kitchen and laundry room that is free to use. They also have a play room with a big assortment of toys. I just love it.
Lyle E Studer III: Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. Very affordable.
Jonathan Marrs: Amazing place to stay to visit at the hospital. You can get to the hospital from the rooms without going outside. Rooms and clean and nice, staff is very friendly. Kitchen area has shared fridges and cooking equipment, they also offer tons of complimentary food and ingredients.
Dennis Lester: The Renucci house has been a life saver. We have had a very long bedside stay with our loved one and without this gift we can't imagine how much harder this time would have been.
Krazy King Kids: The people who work here are the sweetest nicest people ever.
Dae Hart: I have called them three times trying to find a place for my family to stay here, months in advance, as my daughter needed to go to Devos children's hospital. Three times I signed up to be on the waiting list, because they apparently didn't have me signed up the call before even though they told me they were registering me for it. Every time I talked to them, they told me they would call me back. The third time the lady even distinctly said they may even be waiting for 2 days before your stay to call but they "wIll" call, even if they didn't have space for us.Surprise Surprise I never got a call back. Ever!!!This is not okay. They should have just given me a "no" so I could plan accordingly and had an answer. This is a really bad practice and the last thing a parent needs to worry and deal with when their child is going through medical issues.
Adam Deshais: Absolutely, amazing that they provide this for people. So recommend them.
B. Bethany: Amazing all the way around!!!!
MsTrishHH: Helpful as always. Clean rooms. Great place to stay when you are in GR for anything medial at Spectum Health, Helen DeVos Childrens Hospital, Butterworth etc…
Susan Demeuse: Convenient and gently quiet place for me to stay while my husband was in his own pain-filled world having great care by staff at Butterworth Hospital.
James Ostrander: Very manageable for the needs at hand. I will recommend this place for everyone in need. Thank you
CEE JAY: The house is well kept and has many public areas to serve individual and group needs. Due to Covid, the play area is not a available. Problems are evident at the room level. The ADA room had a textured vinyl floor that turned my bare feet black after one day. This room has a offensively loud toilet that-when timed-flushes for 20 solid minutes..or more. It had had this problem for 10 years, the last time I stayed in it. The room has 2 queens and little room for a wheel chair AND a cot suited for special needs. The Bathroom is not Ada in size or features nor is the entrance to the room. A staff person smokes or vapes marijuana to a degree that it is stiflingly similar to a skunk. The room has no wa to ‘ventilate the smell’ as the windows do not open. The linens and towels are rug burn level scratchy likely not having been replaced for many years. The Renucci house is great for a couple days but if you have a child with several weeks of care, the sounds of the high way, the helicopter emergency service overhead, and the struggle for parking on A level can wear on a stressed parent. Also, access to a Liason that will work with reimbursement options and coordination of payments on behalf of the families would be in keeping with spectrum’s representative values of assisting families.
John Rummel: There is little I can add to the many wonderful reviews here. Spectrum Health has first rate hospitals and health care professions. A facility like the Renucci house, making possible extended family stays for loved ones of those undergoing care at the hospitals, is icing on the cake. Wonderful rooms, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, complimentary food and cookware, comfortable library and quiet locations for resting, reading and computer use, etc. Thanks to the generous donors who made such a facility possible.
Heather Lahaie: Amazing!!
Ron Mallison: This place is always wonderful.
Rebecca Anchors (becca): #buildingBridges#pureMichigan #saintHelenTransplant
Evee Nicole: Stayed here from out of town while a family member was ill. I wish all hospitals had this, it was a godsend to be so close to the hospital. The staff is lovely, the kitchen is a blessing. The rooms were cozy and very clean!
Michael Gaertner: Great place to stay while spouse had heart surgery! Close to Spectrum Meijer Heart, friendly, clean and comfortable. Would stay again. Book early, it's very popular.
Terri Williams: Great place
Kim Henley: Staff was amazing! Home away from home!
