Spectrum Health Medical Group Family, Internal & Pediatric Medicine: what do users think?
Amber Lukaart: My 9 month old was diagnosed with Covid and I was concerned about her cough. I called the office at 8 am to see if they wanted me to come in to the office or take her to HDVCH. I spoke directly with Dr. Smith who told me she should come into the office and he had an opening at 1:40 that afternoon. I arrived at the office and called to see how they wanted me to enter the building. After being on hold forever they finally tell me to just come in. I walk inside with my baby and just as I enter my phone rings and it the doctors office. I answer and the lady tells me that she’s really sorry but Dr. Smith thinks it’s best if I just take her to the ER. Are you kidding me????? I talked to you 6 hours ago and waited around to come to the appointment that the doctor said I should come to just to be told when I get there to take her to ER?! This isn’t the first time I’ve been unhappy with my care at this particular office but this incident is absolutely unacceptable and we will not be going back. Needless to say the $100 office visit that I was expecting is now going to be more like $1,000. Thanks Dr. Smith.
Linda Hetherington: I love the providers here but communication is a joke.It took several tries to stop an incorrect phone number from getting appointment reminders. Thank goodness it was a family member because um... hello HIPAA. (Also not the first time I've had this issue with Spectrum).Today was just about the last straw. I had already received reminders about an appointment tomorrow, then got a text today saying it was cancelled and that I needed to reschedule. Turns out the doctor has been out all week; they just didn't tell me until Wednesday. To top it off, while I was on the phone rescheduling, I got another call and text asking me to confirm the appointment they had just cancelled.Again, great doctors and nurses; I just wish Spectrum's systems were more functional.
Mark H. Rosenberger: COVID-19 TestingIn & out quickly ...
Asharie Anderson: Dr McCarthy IS SO WONDERFUL I JUST LOVE HER shes not only my Dr but shes my children Dr as well
አዜብ አዜብ: Dr. McCarthy is a wonderful person and Doctor. She cares for her patients well being.
Christine Kasper: I had scheduled an appointment for noon a week in advance. I arrived 15 mins early. They checked me in and asked me to sit down in the waiting area. 48 minutes later I was taken back to get vitals and was asked to wait in a physical examination room. Over 50 mins now and I still haven't even been seen by a physician or even checked on by anyone. This is RIDICULOUS spectrum can do better than this! I can't even imagine the wait time for a walk-in. And this isn't the first time this has happened to me. Last week my wait time total for a SCHEDULED appointment was 1.5 hours. I understand down staff and general fluctuations with flu season and such but we need to better prep for these fluctuations!
Samantha Lewis: I have anne McCarthy as my daughter's ped. She's is great! very helpful and nice, great with my daughter! Also she has kids herself ,shes very understanding and kind. And has a great nurse heather! All around very satisfied!
Natalie Roberts: Up until this past month I had a positive experience. My child had to go through 3 different formulas due to how sensitive he was till we got Nutramigen. Once we began switching to milk he began having bloody stools. After talking with Fuller WIC Office they prescribed to cover his Nutramigen because he doesn't have bloody stools. When Dr Kline was asked to sign off on this her nurses have given us the run. Each phone call we've had to reexplain why he can't have milk. They keep focusing on his age being over 14 months so he has to have milk.We are beyond frustrated as WIC has agreed to cover this expense and now have to begin looking for a new Doctor that takes are child's health Seriously.
