Then he says the MRI says there's no nerve problem so go to the pain clinic. My pain in my back is a nine or 10 depending on the day. Kylie his nurse gives the indication if your overweight then that's why you're having back pain. So basically just go away you're wasting our time.

Sharen Kienke: Dr Clark operated on my neck which involved C 5, 6, and 7. C6 was removed and rebuild. Vertebrae were fused and a plate was screwed in. When i woke up, after surgery, the pain in my shoulder, arm, hand and fingers was gone. The weakness in my legs was gone also. I wore a cervical collar for three months, but the result was no pain and total movement in my neck and arms, and legs. Dr Clark explained the procedure well, was kind and pleasant. There was minimal pain involved. If you are concerned about needing vertebrate surgery, I recommend going Dr Clark and get it done! It was not a bad experience at all.

Polly Madalinski: I tried to see Dr. Clark for another opinion on proceeding with tethered cord release surgery. I even had my current neurosurgery team at Bronson talk to him (Dr. Liu) about what was going on with me and he requested new MRI’s for lumbar and thoracic. I paid out of pocket since my insurance has covered many already this year and drove 2 hours to MSU to do them. I called last week and tried to set an appointment with Dr. Clark and first off they said they’d never heard of me. I reminded them they spoke to Dr. Liu about me. The gal on the phone still said they never heard of me. I wasn’t in their system.So, I had my Bronson team here re-do the referral though they’d already sent it a month prior and I had all this extra stuff done that was requested by Dr. CLARK!The office called me shortly after and the same gal I spoke to before says, “Dr. Clark says, no thanks.” I asked if she could elaborate as to why he said no. The lady on the phone says she doesn’t dare ask him. 😒I had unnecessary MRI’s and a long drive to and from Lansing that this clown owes me for.

I no longer have pain or have to depend on the use of a cane. God bless you. If you're having issues with your back ask to be referred to Dr Clark. The fusion was explained to me and my family in detail. Pain was mild and after 3 months of wearing a back brace I'm Able to slowly stop wearing it. My only regret is that I was not referred to Dr Clark sooner.

Garoth The Conqueror: When I had my severe TBI back in 2011, I don't believe I can put into words how grateful I am for having had Dr. Klafeta as my Neurosurgeon. He is a true life saver. Although I have never met him, I understand he is an outstanding individual. My TBI was so severe that doctors and nurses were surprised that I even survived my accident, but Dr. Klafeta saved my life. According to my family, he did my surgery in under an hour. I was in an induced coma for about a month after my brain surgery due to trauma and swelling/complications, but I believe Dr. Klafeta had a huge part in my successful and FULL recovery (maybe more even - hard to say).If he had not acted so quickly, recognized what was wrong, and conducted my surgery in the manner that he did, I don't believe I would be typing this today. My recovery was long and hard: Over a year of in and out-patient therapy (physical, occupational, and speech), but it was thanks to Dr. Klafeta that I was graced with the opportunity to even attend therapy. To top it off, his PA, Aaron, is outstanding.After his surgery, visits with Aaron, and my therapy; I went on to receive a degree in Neuroscience, work in the medical field, and now work for the State of Michigan and for the MDHHS. P Stitzel: When we first met Dr. Steven Klafeta it quickly became obvious that he was listening to my husband talk. He asked important questions and waited patiently for the answer. He summarized my husband's health situation, gave his reccommendations and what he believed would be the result if we choose to go with him as my husbands surgeon. We did ask him to do the surgery, and on Feb. 2, 2018 the surgery was performed.
