Pediatric Dental Specialists of West Michigan: what do users think?
Sinjin Schoenfield: The Staff here was incredible. We came in very anxious and they put our mind at ease and set up a treatment plan.
Christy Fandel: Love this office and staff, they are great with kids and very friendly.
Karen O'Dell: Best Dental experience we have ever had. The staff was calm, understanding, willing to listen, and are up to date on the their knowledge. I love that they do everything in house. They are up front about prices and options available. Dr. Katie thinks about the long time treatment/issues and does not just have the "wait and see" approach or the immediate fix that is not always the best option. My 3 year old has severe dentist anxiety and after we left he asked when he can go back. They also have a therapy dog on site. Gorgeous dog that this momma needed more than the kids 😂.Definitely take the kids here before they get anxiety or if they have anxiety.
J White: Awesome atmosphere, Positive energy. My daughter was comfortable and not scared with her dental procedure.
Jerry Nadasky: I brought my 2 boys in and the staff was very friendly. The boys and I had a great first experience with pediatric dental specialists and I will be taking my boys there from now on
Meghan Howard: I did a lot of research before choosing the right dentist to bring my 4 year old daughter to so she wouldn't have a fear of going to the dentist. Well that's exactly what happened. The dental hygienist in my opinion had no idea how to communicate with a child. She jumped right into the exam with no explanation of what to expect. When she had me exit the room to take x-rays my daughter was freaked out. She told her, "I went to school for a long time to do this- I know what I am doing" What? A four year old doesn't understand that. When she started to panic she told my daughter she would get an owie if she didn't listen. My gut told me to go in there and get my daughter and I am mad I didn't. She was terrified and so upset she was inconsolable. I am just really sad that my biggest fear came true, she is terrified of the dentist. I hope our tech can get some training on how to talk to small children. The whole experience felt like a crazy cattle call. Needless to say we won't be back.
Brigid van Baal: This place is amazing!!!! They took care of our baby's ties with ease. I didn't even see him cry. They were kind in answering all our questions. The only kid we saw crying was because they had to leave and they wanted to stay!
Emily Koski: Easily the best place for quality care
Jhaliyah Fry: PDS of West Michigan is amazing. The entire staff/team were so helpful and nice. They got us in and out in a quick and efficient manner. I highly recommend this practice!!
Kelly Mox: Our first experience with this practice and 100% recommend! They got us in on short notice, and Dr. Katie and Megan are absolutely amazing.
Jodi Langsford: Our daughter had a procedure done today that included anesthesia. That in itself is nerve wracking, especially their first time and being young. The whole team at Pediatric Dental Specialists of W. Michigan were wonderful! The team made our family feel at ease and everything went smoothly. Bonus, we got to meet Lucy! 🐾❤️
Selestino Wells: By far the best pediatric center I've been to, staff is very good with children and office decor is amazing 🤩
Melissa: Trustworthy place to bring your kiddos!
Andrea Kole: The staff here is awesome, I feel like they do their best to be friendly and welcoming with my children. We drive 45 minutes (past several other offices) just to come here because of the dentists and hygienists!
Katie Yoder: We have had such positive experiences here – my three-year-old is excited to actually go to the dentist.
Angela Crete: Dr. Katie is very knowledgeable and made me and my son feel at ease right away. She took her time to explain everything and was very patient with all of our questions. I appreciated not feeling rushed! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and the office is clean and beautiful. Thank you for such a great experience!
lexie shaffer: Very welcoming place, first time mom, and they made the experience wonderful for my daughter and I, been going here for a couple years now with my daughter who is now 5 years old! And she LOVES coming here! They always make sure she feels comfortable and have helped with her fear of the dentist 100%1-27-2023
Kristen-Tamanee Manning: We came here on an emergency visit for our 5 year old and initially she was very nervous and scared. The staff went above and beyond for her! They made her feel comfortable and safe which immediately made me feel comfortable. Her treatment plan was very clear and she was scheduled quickly. Zoe left feeling like she made new friends. This place is a dental FAMILY and we are happy to drive the 1.5 hours for all visits.
Orea Molina: We were referred to Pediatric Dental Specialist because my son needed some extensive work done. After his first visit I enrolled my other children too. The staff are so wonderful and the office is very child friendly. Going to the dentist isn't always the best experience but the staff are gentle, kind, accommodating, and upbeat. We don't have anything negative to say. Only positive experiences!
Kelsey Copus: First time visit for my two older girls ages 5 and 3. Super nice staff. Clean. Very kid and family friendly. Happy we switched dentists to come here now
Tiffany Wobma: So thankful for kind and caring staff who engage with my daughter and help ease her anxiety. I'm shocked every visit how well she does. All the doctors are equally awesome, couldn't pick a favorite! Logan is amazing. As someone who has experienced traumatic childhood dental events, I'm so thankful for this group and the redeeming experience I'm having through my daughter's visits!

Mitten Kids Dentistry: what do users think?
Kylee Paul: Amazing doctors who really care
Suzy B: Very kind, knowledgeable and friendly. Great for kids of all ages. 👍
Renicka Mcelwee: Great doctors and staff!
Spencer Seabrook: They called us days after we verified our twins appointments and informed us they won’t have dentists in the office on a Tuesday and we had to reschedule. The next day we get a letter saying they don’t work with our insurance anymore and it would be considered out of network. Why would you schedule appointments when doctors arnt available and you failed to mention multiple times that you now don’t carry our insurance and can’t get us in before the deadline!?!
April Taylor: Very friendly and great with my kids. My kids enjoy going to the dentist and are not worried when they have appointments.
Erica P: The staff really goes out of their way to make your kids feel comfortable. They also were really helpful when we had some urgent issues in the past.
Dawn Booterbaugh: Our first time here and so far I can say, clean office, staff seems to be nice and very helpful. We can do all the paper work online.
Tara French: Had 3 kiddos that needed extensive treatment and the Caledonia office was amazing at treatment, keeping me up to date on what needed to happen and working with the kids overall. Highly recommend this office to anyone in search of a dentist!
Mandi Fox: Just had my daughter’s first visit to the dentist here today and had a great experience. Everyone was very kind and patient and made my daughter feel comfortable.
Terri Walden: Very nice facility and staff. Would 100% recommend.
Samantha Burnham: Very nice and gentle with special needs children!! Highly recommend
Anna Barney: Wonderful dentist and staff.
Adisa Bajric: Dr. Brett was so patient with my 2.5 year old. I would definitely recommend him for your pediatric dental needs.
Keanna Cole: I love this office and so does my daughter!
Jessica Cole: This place is terrible. They did surgery on my daughter and son. And now that there is complications with my daughter's tooth. They won't do anything about it. Smdh
Brittany Johnson: First visit today. I was the nervous one, my kiddo is a rockstar, and very innocent, and this practice put my mind at ease with honesty while keeping my son none the wiser that he will need some kind of dental work. He’s already excited for his next visit and I’m excited to get his smile healthy as it is beautiful. We were late coming 1.5hrs away and they worked us in!! AWESOME! Ladies were nice from start to finish. The hygienist was fast, gave her honest assessment, potential treatment plans of best and worse case scenarios, and did this while answering all my questions and helping me wrangle my kiddos while never giving off one hint of annoyance. It was my son’s appt, but baby sissy got a prize and stickers too! We sat facing a beautiful water fountain with geese and there were even cute books for them to read. Great experience overall. Feeling confident in my choice to get my son’s care from Mitten Kids!🤩😁 🤩
Miss Shingola: Fearful for my child’s safety after Dr. Randall called and expressed how it was my fault for letting my son’s teeth rot! My son is 6 years old and special needs. He was non verbal until he was 5 and went through extensive special education, speech therapy, occupational therapy etc. I had two root canals and crowns put on his teeth. Within a few months the crown was completely crumbling. They said in front on my son it was his fault and he would need surgery to correct. He burst into tears and apologized for causing the broken crown. I called back to schedule an appointment to take care of the infection and was literally screamed at by the dr. He said my husband was rude and he repeated himself it was my fault his teeth were decaying. I have never in my life been made to feel like a neglectful or bad parent. I was completely shocked at the unprofessional behavior and immediately pulled my children from their care. We had the teeth removed due to ongoing infection. The teeth were black and rotten under crowns. To be fair, all the other staff was great especially Dr. Brett! I understand things happen and crowns can fail BUT Dr. Randall’s disrespect and unprofessional behavior was absolutely unacceptable. If you have a child with special needs I DO NOT recommend Dr. Randall!
Jenna H: Mitten kids was amazing! My daughter had her first appointment today (she’s 2) and really enjoyed it! She has a lion stuffed animal she takes everywhere and the hygienist even did a check up on him first :) she was happy and comfortable when I thought it would be tears. Thankful for Mitten kids for making our experience a great one and will be back in 6 months!
Sarah Paustian: Great people working here. And understanding of my sons needs.☺️💖
Robin Vanlente: I love this place so much I wish I could go here. Always treat us with kindness and respect, always cheerful. They make me feel comfortable when my kiddo isn't as cooperative.
Jade Sierra: My daughter has special needs, and was referred to their office for my dental concerns. They were welcoming, respectful and informative. Dr. Grady was great!

Growing Smiles Pediatric Dentistry: what do users think?
Andrea Salazar Toth: I send my patients here and trust Dr. Meggan with my dental care. She is one of the most intelligent, kind and honest individuals I know.
Cori Wilber: My very active 2 year old saw Miss Mandy for a cleaning today. I can't say enough good things about her! She anticipated all of his needs and knew just the right moments to change the subject to keep my son involved and happy. The rest of the team was great, too, and we loved the changes to the playroom area. Highly recommend this office.
Refine Marketing (Jessica Hawley): Superior, we drive an hour to see this amazing dental care.Dont ever settle when it involves your health.Go the distance to get the best
Amy Norder: Today was Brynleys first dentist appt. She was pretty nervous leading up to it. We were greeted by very comforting and friendly faces both at the front desk and back behind the doors!! The whole staff was so friendly and inviting. Erika was very sweet to Brynley during the cleaning. When we got in the car, Brynley wanted to go back inside… and I kind of did too ;)Thanks so much for a great first trip to the dentist!
Amanda Currie: The office is beautiful and staff is very friendly! It would have been nice to see or talk to the doctor who worked on my son. I realize they are busy, he was very upset after getting his tooth pulled.
Destinee Emery: The staff are absolutely amazing! They are were so great to my kids. Everyone is super friendly I would recommend this dentist to anyone!
Julie Johnson: My daughter had her first visit today (new office, for us but familiar with dr Jessica) The staff explained things very thoroughly was kind and courteous and put my daughter at ease. She has had some anxiety with dentists in the past but loves this office and dr Jessica. They were very upfront about what the costs would be ahead of time as well. Love this office.
Shereen W: I can already tell this place is going to be able to handle my daughter’s anxiety with dental work. They’re fully equipped to work with children and just generally pleasant to work with. This place is a great choice for nervous kids!
cowboylogicllc: Love how friendly and kind the staff is. Makes kids feel super comfortable. My kids want to go ;)
April Snyder: Growing smiles is an amazing place. My son has conditions which cause him severe anxiety with most everyday life. It is extremely hard to even get him to sit still for even 5 minutes. From his first visit to the office I let them know his medical issues and what things he liked and they took the time to sit and befriend him before they took him back to the room. He felt comfortable and went back without me. He has gone back to the room by himself for every visit. We could not be happier with the service they provide. All of the staff is AMAZING, and very understanding to each child’s needs.
Melody May: Awesome group of people. Very friendly.
Bradley Mahoney: Nobody, in their right mind, enjoys going to the dentist. This is especially true for my 9 year old son. Because of Amanda and the staff at Growing Smiles, my son goes in without anxiety and comes out happy! Well done Growing Smiles and especially Amanda!!!
Cody Mitchell: Gave the receptionist my new insurance card and asked to know if the cleaning would be covered for my toddler and I got busy feeding my infant and before I realized I hadn’t gotten the ok it would be covered, they called us back to the room and did the cleaning. At check out told me I had a $44 bill for a cleaning that my insurance covers two of in full every year, this is wrong and we will never be back here. Transparency in pricing is very important to people and I hope this review helps someone else to choose another place.
Karla Cleveland: The staff are wonderful. They ensured a safe and successful visit for our highly anxious little guy. Special thanks to Amanda and Dr. Abbie.
Samantha Willemstein: Wonderful staff! So knowledgeable! And make your child feel extremely comfortable. A+, will absolutely be back!!
Jaclyn Deboer: I could write a couple paragraphs about everything that happened in our 2 visits here. Including 3 of them holding my son down for x-rays when he was screaming and crying, having a panic attack scared. (6 years old). Or how they neglected to put him on an antibiotic for a tooth abscess.I will just summarize with this place is about making money on unnecessary procedures. There are a lot better places out there, and we will never be back.
Hanna Bonk: Amazing people who take great care of children. They did surgery on my son and it was the most informative, helpful group of staff that there's no way I would take my kids anywhere else. I've sent two kids through here and will be sending my youngest. Since day one they have communicated everything in great detail and have been able to connect with my older kids. They are constantly asking when their dentist appointment is.
J M: This time around was horrible. My son was left with a horrible cut under his top lip from them constantly pushing the mouth piece they were using into his gums. He’s very swollen still a day later. He told them it was hurting and apparently they didn’t care. Not very happy at all.
Traci Smith: This was by far the best experience the kids have had at a dental office! Scheduling on the phone was so easy and the receptionist was super nice and helpful. When it came time for the kids' visits, the receptionists were very welcoming. My 5 year old loves going to the dentist already but our hygienist, Traci has such a great attitude and is so good with kids, so it made her visit even more of a breeze. My 7 year old has autism and is non-verbal. We've been to other dentists before where he didn't feel very comfortable so they weren't able to get much done at the visit. Traci's effort to make dentist visits a positive experience for kids, and her patience, made all the difference. She even sang to him while cleaning and counting his teeth, and he loved it! She also sent him a hand written note in the mail telling him how well he did. He was all smiles when I read it to him. They always have the best kids movies playing on TVs on the ceiling, so it's easy for the kids to watch while their teeth are being worked on. They also have awesome prize drawers with different toys for the kiddos to choose from after they're done. The kids are looking forward to their next visit!
Sara Halker: The entire experience start to finish was fantastic! My son is 3 and had anxiety about coming but they were so accommodating and made him feel very comfortable. They are very well organized and communicative. Great place to come!!
Brenda Clark: My daughter just started going to Growing Smiles Dentistry. I am very pleased they work very well with the children. The staff is very professional and friendly.

Gaines Pediatric Dentistry: what do users think?
Marissa Morales: I absolutely love Dr. O Callaghan, he is amazing with kids. My daughter and son both come here and he has never disappointed. He's amazing with my daughter and she is autistic. He has been my daughter's dentist since she was 2 and now she is 9. He has never made me feel like I need to go somewhere else. He does amazing with my son and he's been taking care of him since he was 7 and now he's 13. It definitely feels like a family here. Highly recommended and they accept Medicaid. I love it here.
Gurmani Young: Very good place for kids
Elizabeth Lauer: Great staff, clean, and great waiting room!!
Nate Browley: Great place for the kiddos. Everyone is very friendly and nice. Love this place
B Me: This was a nice visit. Recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a great care of your teeth. Also I have a question:What is the minimum age allowed to this dental place? I forgot to ask earlier. Can adults set up appointments as well? And what insurances are accepted?
Katelynn P.: Dr. O'Callaghan and his staff are so patient, friendly, and understanding. They really are the best at what they do, and that's kids! I will be so bummed when my daughter ages out of peds.
Stephanie Chandler: Receptionist was not very kind. Very rude. Very short. Didn't inform me of our options and basically kicked us out of the office without even telling us.However, after speaking with multiple different staff and Dr. O'callaghan himself I am very pleased to know this was a one time occurance. A misunderstanding. My kids love this place and I am very pleased to know we will be returning to their office. I've recommended them to many people and will continue to do so. Great job Gaines Pediatric Dentistry!
John Myers: My son was there before he chiped his tooth and needed it fixed asap. The receptionist was very rude and said he was a patient and would need a new patient intake and there was a 6 month wait.
Fidelina Melchor-Reyes: This place has been the best pediatric dentistry that I have gone to for my babies! They all have been very kind and polite and I appreciate that they explain everything to them so that they can understand what they are going to do to them so they wouldn’t be scared. They did everything to make my babies feel safe and relaxed and that’s is all I wanted for my babies first dental experience!
Ceely: They were so kind and good with my son! They didn’t degrade me as a parent or make it seem like my son’s teeth issues were 100% my fault! They were good with explaining things out in a way that I understood and actually made me feel like I was getting my money’s worth!!Very clean, calm and happy atmosphere as well!!
T Witherspoon: My son who was born at 23.3 weeks had his first appointment ever with this office. The reviews speak for themselves! Not only was the doctor able to get into his mouth with his former extreme oral aversion, but he and the staff were great to him. The visit was I formative and time efficient.I'm glad i was recommended here.
Rachel Mefor: All of my children were treated with patience, kindness, and respect. As the parents, we were treated well and kept informed. I loved that the hygienists and Dr. O'Callaghan spoke directly to my children, keeping them comfortable and happy throughout the entire appointment. Everyone there was so kind and very much look like they love their jobs.
Elena H: A great practice. Always courteous and timely.
Sara Malecki: Hands down the best kid dentist ever. Been bringing my oldest for a couple of years and they are fantastic with her and now my youngest goes and they are amazing
Lyndsey Nawrocki: I would give this place 100 stars if i could! The staff goes above and beyond everytime for my kiddos and we have had nothing but positive experiences. The front desk staff are all very friendly, the hygienist's are amazing and very patient, and Dr. O'Callaghan is as friendly as they come. My kids actually look forward to going to the dentist because they have a friendly/positive experience and BONUS they get a prize at the end! I would recommend that everyone with children go here :)
Rachell H: The office is beautiful. The staff are all so kind and Dr Ocallaghan is great with kids. You can you they all love kids!! Highly recommend this office!!
Kim Antczak: Very kid friendly and professional staff!
janine koller: Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I had a child who needed to be seen immediately as a new patient due to an emergency, and they were able to work her in within 48 hours. They treated all my children and myself with kindness and respect.
K. Foster: Always friendly and efficient. Great with kids and always accommodate scheduling for families with multiple children! My kids love the staff and the dentist.
Sarah Gates: I drive from Barry County Fairgrounds area to bring my daughter here and it’s worth the 25 minutes! The receptionists are very nice and helpful,The Dr and his assistant are WONDERFUL! Everyone is so patient, kind, compassionate and friendly! The hygienists are amazing as well! Their waiting room has a little toy room that has 3 or 4 (I can’t remember how many) iPad/tablets for the kids to play on as well! There’s a keurig to make yourself coffee too! There’s NEVER a wait (in my experience). They have a little Token machine for the kids after they’re done. I will and have recommended this place to anyone who is looking for a pediatric dentist! I absolutely love the atmosphere! The bathrooms have wipes and diapers for parents with more littles that tag along as well. If I could give them a million stars I absolutely would. They’re conveniently located right off of M6 and Kalamazoo (60th).If you’re looking for a pediatric dentist office, this place is the bees knees!
Tiffany Richardson: Love bringing my children here! They are amazing and make them so comfortable, all the staff are great with kids and mine leave with a beautiful, bright smile every time!

Hamilton Pediatric Dentistry PC: what do users think?
Marley Neverth: The staff at this office is friendly and they work great with kids. They explain and answer any questions you have regarding your child’s treatment.
Nathan Shields: Office manager is out of control. I wouldn't waste my time, they do not treat you as a valued patient. The office manager acts like they are doing you a favor by letting you be a patient. The dental staff is ok but you won't have to look hard to find better. IF OWNERSHIP READS THIS YOU HAVE 17 ONE START REVIEWS MAYBE YOU HAVE A PROBLEM.
Rob Riffle: We take both of our boys here. The staff is always friendly and Dr Hamilton is great with kids. I highly recommend them to other parents.
David Oneil: We were told to come here by our dentist to get a tooth pulled they told us they would pull it that day. We got there drove from 2 hours away and they decided they were not going to pull it we had to come back. I do not recommend this place to abybody
Alisha Harmon: Great office, my nephews go here and I have had the pleasure of bringing them in. They love it here, the staff is great with the kids. My nephews are 2 and 4, they helped them to understand and not be scared. They were very quick and efficient as you can imagine they are not thrilled to sit down and have a cleaning done. The staff made this a fun and learning experience for the boys.
Elisa Saldana: This place was horrible when my son got his fillings they fell off as soon as we got home when we asked they said wanna get them agian and it cost me 3600 dollars and the second time they fell of again I don't recommend
Brittany Clason: This place is amazing 👏. They were fantastic with my son. A little over a week before he could barely get a teeth cleaning at the regular dentist. I would highly recommend 👌 Dr. Hamilton removed a broken hull cap and replaced it with a new one.
Greg W: Excellent clinicians. Sadly it’s ruined by the most unbelievably bad admins I’ve ever had to interact with. It’s a pity that ruin an otherwise fantastic practice.
Nakyla Lee: She is so so amazing. Extremely kind, and lots of patience. She made my son’s visit so very easy for him. The whole office is good vibes. I will never go anywhere else. I will gladly keep driving an hour for Veronica!! Thank you guys!
Jennifer B: Dr. Hamilton was great with my kids. However I had some serious health complications and ended up in the ICU, lucky to be alive. Couldn't take care of myself and needed help for a while. In this time because of my situation my kids missed their dental appointments. I received a letter saying my kids were kicked out of the office due to no show appointments. I tried explaining to them the situation and offered to get proof from my physician if needed. Was told to take them some place else. So because of our experience I am placing a rating of 1 star only because I can't do no stars. Very disappointing experience.
Josiah Gibson: Never felt more taken care of!I'd recommend to everyone!
Alex Freeman: My 3 year old daughter is a patient at Hamilton Pediatric Dentistry and we have nothing but the best to say about all of the staff we have interacted with during our visits. My daughter was scared, and didn't handle x-rays the greatest, but the staff was very patient and kept reassuring her how brave she was being. Her cleaning/exam was quick and painless! She is excited to go back and that's huge for a 3 year old! I highly recommend Dr. Veronica and her amazing staff!
Jennifer Nelson: My son is a patient of Dr Hamilton and absolutely loves this office! He has had treatment at another office and it was fine, but he actually looks forward to going to his dental appointments now at Hamilton Pediatrics. The staff and Doctor are so great at their jobs and so friendly and helpful! Totally recommend this office to everyone hands down! 🙌
Karmen Wilson: I spent a lot of time looking for the right dental practice and landed in this practice based on reviews and referrals. I made the appointment 8 months in advance and had a lovely conversation with the scheduler on what a first appointment would be to establish a child for dental appointments. I spoke with friends on what to anticipate so felt prepared.I figured the staff not wearing PPE correctly was ignorance and it was at least up correctly when they were near myself and son.I figured them taking X-rays on a child not quite 2 was protocol. I did not figure them forcing the X-ray fob into my sons mouth and holding him down and then making passive aggressive comments about him not staying still was part of their routine. After three attempts and them only being successful once I stopped the X-rays and said we were done. This is when the staff changed their demeanor. I was threatened we wouldn’t be able to proceed without X-rays. I was fine with that and ready to leave. I was asked if I wanted a cleaning done, not if they were going to treat my son like that. They said they would check with the doctor to see what she wanted to do.I was then sat down and Alice made a poor attempt at looking at my sons teeth. Eventually Carol took the staff out of the room and then came back in to talk to me. If you are going to be that obvious about talking to someone you might as well do it in front of them.Carol talked down to me, scapegoated the person who made the appointment as someone who didn’t work there any longer and didn’t know her job to begin with. This appointment was scheduled 8 months ago, they very easily could have phoned. Attempted to bully us into an appointment and told me they treat people from all over with behavioral issues and do what they have to do to get the job done. She was telling me this all while a child in the room over was screaming. This might be the practice for your child is older and verbal. I would not recommend a parent to send their child back alone. As a result of this appointment, my son didn’t eat that day, he won’t allow me to feed him anymore, he won’t allow me to help brush or floss his teeth and is just now starting to let his dad help. Brushing teeth was an exciting and fun thing. It will take months to reverse the damage they caused.
Amy Behrns: Quick and easy! Everyone is so nice, the 5 year old said on the way home that we should go there more often 💜 that's how you know they are good at what they do!
Risha McCoy: The staff is amazing!
Tina Rogers: My children have been going here for years...my daughter has a hard time and they are really good at calming her especially Amanda. But today they made me and my children feel very low. Because my daughter took a picture of my toddler during her appt. They told her not to do to again and then claim she took another one I told my daughter to get on tic TOC to keep her occupied while they were finishing up on my toddler. My daughter says she took a pic of her self the second time. My 4 children went to the car while I checked out because of how the staff made her feel. 2 different workers said something to her and me. Then when I was checking out she also said something to me I told her I would talk to my daughter about it when I got outside. She said OK then walked out came back in and said something about her posting them on tic TOC that's not what was said I already told her that they were for her dad and repeated it again and said I would delete them. I just feel having 3 people say something about the same thing over and over felt like we were being bullied. My daughter was upset and we agreed she won't bring her phone in with her anymore. Now today a month later I'm pulling in the parking lot and get a call that because I was 10 mins late we had to re schedule I took the morning off of work to come in then she tells me if any of my kids miss 2 more days in a yr we will no longer be able to go there. We have been going there for about 7 yrs I use to love it there now I feel singled out. We were never late in the yrs we have been coming.I have 4 children that go here I just don't know if its worth the gas and time to go there to be treated that way.
stacie king: These guys are awesome!! They were great with my child and she got a popsicle afterwards.
Coda88: Hands down the best. Dr.Hamilton is so nice and patient! She explains things well and efficient. Highly recommend
David Steiner: All of the staff were fantastic. I tried taking my 3/4 year old to a dentist a few times over the course of a year and she was too uncooperative for x rays or even a basic exam. At Hamilton, they were able to examine her teeth, clean them, brush them, floss them, and get x rays without using any sedatives. They were very gentle and fast even though my daughter was still less than cooperative! I can't say enough good things about the whole experience.
Claudia Spieth: Very nice, friendly, always helpful. Very childfriendly. Explain everything in childish language and takesaway the fear. My kids love to go to Dr. Veronica.

Smilie's Pediatric Dentistry: what do users think?
Breann Wilcox: My kids love going to the dentist thanks to everyone in the office! they are so good and explain everything so well to the kids! We love them.
citsituA: I love getting my teeth cleaned and I love getting a new toothbrush and Toothpaste, I also love how friendly the staff is and the prize bucket.
K B: Patient with my children. Thoroughly explained every step of the process.
Jasmin Slagel: My kids are younger and do not like going to the dentist! We were referred to Dr. LaDue and my girls absolutely love him!! He is so kind and gentle and makes going fun for my kids!
Kyle Tamminga: I am posting under my husband’s account but several years ago I was a single mother of a toddler. We went to Smilie’s for a few cleanings and check ups. Initially he was put under watch for a spot on his tooth that might have looked like it was progressing towards a cavity. My son was nursed and very rarely took a bottle. We brushed his teeth every single day. When trying to get x-rays at a regular checkup (we never missed an appt), my son showed some resistance due to being afraid. The dentist told me he doesn’t play those games and if I wanted x-rays then my son needed to be medicated. He gave my son some sort of loopy medicine that made him giggly where he couldn’t stand up. He was like a drunk little toddler. I waited so long in the waiting room, the medicine was almost completely wore off and he was standing and talking again by the time we got the x-rays and he did just fine. During checkup, I was suddenly told that he had severe dental carries and needed 8 silver crowns. I asked about fillings or white crowns. My son always had the most beautiful smile and teeth and disrupting his smile broke my heart along with the thought of him being teased one day for all the metal crowns. The dentist asked me if I cared more about my son’s appearance or his health. Upon my hesitation, he told me I could do what he wanted or go somewhere else. When checking out, they gave me a huge packet of paperwork and scheduled an appt for my son to be put under anesthesia to have his extensive dental work. I felt sick. I wanted to cry, and felt like a horrible Mom. I then started calling around and got 3 additional opinions! 2 were family dentists and 1 was the pediatric dentist across the street from Smilies. All of them told me my son had 2 cavities next to each other between his teeth but they could be easily filled due to their size. We got the fillings done and have had zero issues since. My son is now 7 1/2 and we faithfully go to Valleau, VanDeven and Massie Dentistry for Children. I’ve only ever experienced great customer service, patience and kindness for my son and myself.I have debated for years making a complaint to the American Dental Association due to Smilie’s fraudulent and unethical practices. But honestly it weighed so heavily on my heart with the emotions they cause me that I couldn’t even muster up the energy to file the complaint (yet). I’ve saved my son’s x-rays. I have proof of their horrible treatment to children. It breaks my heart to read stories of this happening to other families who possibly could have avoided all of this if they had just known to get a second opinion.
Anne Hamming: Dr. LaDue clicked with my son from the first moment, and the staff treat my son like one of their own children. I highly recommend.
Mysticsoul: Our daughter absoulty LOVES going to the dentist because of Dr.LaDue. He is definitely an amazing dentist. We'd keep going to him if we weren't moving. Any chance we can take you with us Dr.LaDue? In all seriousness he and his staff will be greatly missed by all of us. Our daughter's new dentist will have some BIG shoes to fill! THANK YOU for EVERYTHING you did for our daughter. I hope you get more patients just like her ;) UPDATE: We aren't moving we are ABSOULTY THRILLED that Dr. LaDue will continue to be our daughter's dentist!
Tasha Leger: My daughter had her 1st dental appointment here with Dr. Ladue. He was very nice and patient with her as she was not so sure about the whole process.
Solo Jorden: DR. Ladue is very professional as well as honest on what would be the best care of my children's teeth. His staff does a great job in all aspects and are always kind. Would not take them anywhere else!! we have referred many children there. What a great team!!!!
Kalev Ramirez: I appreciate the effort Dr. Ladue and his staff put in to the making my children feel comftorable at the dentist office and with all the equipment. All of the extra time they spend, shows that the children's emotional and overall well being is top priority. I also appreciate how much time Dr. Ladue always spends explaining and helping us understand everything about our childrens' dental health and everything involved in their care and really going above and beyond to educate everyone about caring for their teeth. We have been very thankful for his wonderful care of our children and their teeth.
Erin Andrus: As many other long reviews that I read, my 5 year old was counciled and went through 6 crowns and 4 (scheduled for 2) teeth pulled. When first going through the council with Dr. Ledew the worry and concern must have been present on my face. He had gained my trust with his knowledge he shared, and how well he connected with my daughter. This news was daunting, we had gone in to have two teeth looked at..... Me not saying anthing at this time but taking it all in, Dr Ledew says to me, "If nothing is done I would have to say this is neglect." That thought never even crossed my mind to not have my child treated! This was the second pediatric dentist working with these two teeth. We went through all his recommendations and the heavy heavy bill, not to mention having our little sweetheart under annestesia for the first time. Looking back I am enraged. He played my emotions for his pocket book, and without it I would have listened to my husband and gotten a second opinion. If your are reading this and thinking for your child and family, please please seek another professional. There is no way my daughter needed all those crowns snd 4 pulled front teeth!!! It took her smile away and she cried and asked why there was so much metal in her mouth. We too let her take milk to bed for too long as a young todler. The life of parenting sometimes has a learning curve. We will never go back and have since found a great one in Fremont.
Kenneth Lampart: My four kids have been going here their entire life. Awesome Dentist. Super friendly staff. Have never had a bad exsperience.
Stacie Blakely: I scheduled an appointment for my son in July. The first appointment available was in November. My son had an abecess from a previous filling and our family dentist referred us to Dr LaDue. We waited out the 4 months and went in, not knowing this was just a consultation. I spent a good 30 minutes entering information on their website prior to the appointment. Upon arrival to the office, I was informed that the forms did not save and I would need to complete them again before the dentist would see my son.I did like that Dr LaDue came into the waiting room and chatted with us before taking us back for the exam. I appreciated the way that he included my son in the discussion and the general way the appointment was going. He took X-rays and then told me that my son needed 7 (yes, SEVEN) crowns on baby teeth. He also wanted to pull 2 additional teeth. So, here I am, thinking we are coming in to have an abscess fixed and then finding out that we needed 7 crowns and 2 teeth pulled. I was a little overwhelmed, not only at the procedure itself, but that we also were instructed to have my son admitted to the hospital and put under. I wasn't given any other option, no fillings were discussed because Dr LaDue said the cavities were on 'multiple sides of all of the teeth.'Upon leaving, I went home and was discussing with my husband about the $3000 plus we were going to be spending on baby teeth. We decided that I would call and ask Dr LaDue if there were some teeth that we could crown and some that we could just do fillings on. My call was never returned. After the holidays, I called a different pediatric dentist office in Grandville and was plesantly surprised to hear that our first appointment was going to be the next week. We proceeded to the new dentist only to find out that our son needed 3 fillings and 1 tooth pulled (this is the one with the original abscess). NO CROWNS, NOT A ONE.Like I said, Dr LaDue is very nice and his manner with the kids is amazing. I just would recommend a second opinion before going thru with any amount of crowns, or admitting your child to the hospital.
Kelly Packer: My kids have been patients of Smilies Pediatric Dentistry for over a year now. I waited too long to take them to the dentist and I knew they would have some cavities, my oldest was 6 at the time. We had some bad habits of giving them milk at bedtime, and it seemed harmless at the time, because we brushed regularly and their teeth were so perfect. After looking at them, Dr LaDue decided that my middle would need to go to the hospital to be put under because he would need so many crowns. I think 5 stainless steel crowns total in his back teeth. And my oldest needed 3 I think, but he got his done in the office. When deciding the treatment plan, Dr LaDue rattled off 3 options; white filling, silver fillings or stainless steel crowns, as if we had an option, but we didn't, he only does stainless steel crowns on that second smaller molar, and if the largest molar has 2 cavities in it or more, he'll crown that too. Basically Dr LaDue doesn't believe in putting in fillings like most dentists. I guess most pediatric dentists don't. I feel that is more a financial gain for him, not necessarily what's best for the child. My middle son won't even smile with his mouth open anymore since the crowns show slightly. I pleaded with Dr. LaDue to use fillings instead, it would be so much cheaper and less conspicuous to do fillings. He sat me down in his office and showed me reports that showed that crowns were 93% effective and silver fillings were only 85 % effective, meaning they'd fail 7% and 15% respectively (these numbers may be off a little, I'm just going by memory), and you may have to crown those filling later on. So Dr. LaDue is basically cutting to the chase and assuming all fillings will fail, so lets just crown them all. I can understand wanting to put crowns on a child who is deathly afraid of the dentist, or has special needs that make a trip coming back to the dentist not worth it, and the price tag of a crown seems reasonable when faced with a return trip in a few years. Maybe then. MAYBE. It should be up to the parent though. We we sat down in the office, he told me that if we didn't do his treatment plan, he wouldn't take "the case". Yes he referred to my child as "the case". I should have run then. But I didn't, I knew my kids had cavities, and it had taken us a couple months to get them in, plus it was going to be a couple months before they were able to get us in to get all the work done, I couldn't just start over, or so I thought.Fast forward a year later after the work was done. (I think my kids have 8 or 9 total crowns.) 2 of the 3 kids passed their recent cleanings fine, my middle had something the hygienist was concerned with. She barely saw a blip on the xray, and she was going to have the dentist look at it and call me back. She called back a week later and said my child would need a crown on the tooth, since it was the small molar, that's all they could do. So we went from not even knowing if it was indeed a cavity, to needing a crown. I scheduled the appt anyway. and then started thinking about looking for other dentists. I needed one anyway since mine was retiring, so I picked a family dentist close to home. The new guy got us in within a month. He looked in my childs mouth, and couldn't find the cavity or anything wrong with the tooth that Smilies was going to crown. Of course, Smilies is dragging their feet about getting our records transferred, and still hadn't sent the xrays after 2 weeks of the request. I found out that our new dentist is the President of the West Michigan District Dental Society after I scheduled the appointment, so he is an extremely well respected dentist in our area. I left that office, extremely grateful to have made the switch, but also so irritated, because if this one didn't need a crown, how many others in my kid's mouth were put in just for the $$$$$$$. I was, and am still sick about it.Bottome line? This office is all about the money. Think about it, crowns are the only big money maker for peds dentistry, so they push them, even when they are not needed.
Ali H.: I had scheduled my daughters first visit and consultation 3 months in advance. The appointment was scheduled for my 18 month old. I arrived 30 minutes prior to our appointment time. I filled out the paperwork and turned it. 15 minutes after our appointment time, the administrator tells me Its going to be awhile longer there was an emergency. Don't get me wrong, I know emergencies are just that and that they can not be avoided. Why I am rating them this low for not telling me there was a possible wait time in advance. I am with an 18 month old and 8 1/2 months pregnant (so it is visible...no mistaking I am going to pop any day). When I called to talk them about my concerns they were not receptive to them. I did find out the the emergency patient came in at 9 that morning, 1 hour prior top my appointment, so they knew there was a possibility I would have a waiting time up front, and with an 18 month and visibly uncomfortable momma, they failed give me the heads up at check in I may be waiting past my appointment time and an option to reschedule at that time. Very disappointed in the professionalism and their lack of concern at a very unhappy patient. Would not waste time making an appoint 3 months in advance. There are much better options available.
