Adam J. Rush, MD: what do users think?
Nate Mitchell: Have been dealing with pain for several years now, have seen many specialists, and nothing seemed to work... I was Feeling pretty hopeless and defeated in life before meeting with Dr. Rush for the first time... I got a genuine lets get to the bottom of things and help you get through this vibe from him... It was great and my first impression is of a dude that takes his profession seriously, cares, and whole heart-idly wants to help... For the first time in a long time i am feeling hopeful and optimistic about fighting through this...
Carrina Ssmkowiak: I was referred to Dr. AJ Rush through a chain of referrals by other doctors. I have been to MANY doctors over the years so I wasn't really expecting him to be any different than the poor care I was used to. For my first appointment with him, he spent TWO HOURS with me. I was so taken back with how much he knew that I was literally speechless. I have now had two appointments with him and I have hope on finding answers. I lost that hope years ago but thanks to him, it's back. I can go on and on about what an awesome doctor he is but this review would take me days to write. From the front desk to check out, my experience is like nothing I have experienced before. If you have lost hope in the medical community, go see Dr. Rush. You won't regret it. One more thing to add, he called me on a SATURDAY morning personal to talk about some questions I had. Most doctors wouldn't do that. We spoke for about 30 minutes on HIS day off.
Alison Hammond: I would highly recommend Dr. Adam Rush to anyone who has a complex case of chronic pain. Being a young adult struggling with chronic pain, Dr.Rush is the only doctor in my team that I think truly cares about my well being and rehabilitation. His office is absolutely amazing and I have never left an appointment not understanding my diagnosis or my plan of care.
Donald Wood: Dr. Adam Rush was found for me and my CRPS by my patient resource nurse at Priority Insurance. He is so concerned with your care, and quality of life. I just know he can make a huge difference for you or someone you love.
Lillie Decker: Dr. Rush is a good doctor he listened to what I have to say. I am a very hard case and he is there for me every step of the way🙂Thanks Dr. Rush
Emily Schepel: Dr. Rush has literally saved my life! He takes me seriously and values my experience. I haven’t had such a thorough caring and straight forward doctor that provides such great care! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Folklore Botanical: Dr. Rush is a game-changer. I have multiple issues from autoimmune, neuropathy, myofascial issues...the list goes on. He listens but expects you to contribute in your health and wellness. He will ask lots of questions about your health issues and lifestyle so be prepared and do your homework, so you can get the best care possible. He listens and is what I want to call a medical detective. Putting all the clues together to make your overall quality of life better.I dreaded pain management and doctors until I met him. Usually, pain management doctors come in and talk AT you for 5 minutes and then want to load you up with their money-making injections and meds, putting a bandaid on the issue vs trying to solve the problem. Dr. Rush is different and helped turn my life around. Be warned he will be a bit blunt and expect things from you, but isn't that what we need? I think so and I highly recommend Dr. Rush and his team.
Suela Karagjozi: Dr. Rush was extremely kind and patient. The staff was also wonderful. I felt like he actually cared about me and my frustrations related to my recover . I would highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of a rehabilitation doctor.
Shannon Maisel: Dr. Rush is caring, compassionate, and very helpful. My daughter has been in his care for the last 3 years. When we met Dr. Rush, she was unable to walk, a complication of flu. After being in his care, she regained her abilities to move. Later he diagnosed her Post Viral ME/CFS. With his help, she managed to complete high school and is off to college! Dr. Rush helped us find a specialist in my daughters college town too. Dr. Rush takes his time, answers questions directly, and gives our family hope. I highly recommend him to anyone!
Fiona Maisel: Dr Rush is amazing. He always contemplates all the choices of care and talks you through various options to come up with the best treatment plan possible. Many things in the medical world are hard to understand, yet I have never left an appointment feeling confused about anything discussed. He is thorough and organized and I would highly recommend him to anyone in need!
Chrissy Miller: He listens and actually cares about his clients. Definitely the first doctor to help my kiddo feel like himself again. Highly recommended!!!!
Ashleigh Reynolds: He takes his time. Highly recommend this physician. Explains your body in details.
Becki Baxter: Dr Rush is awesome. He always takes all the time we need to address all our issues, and makes sure we are connected to the appropriate specialist. He is warm and always friendly. The wait times in his office can be awful, but knowing ahead of time, are worth it.
Lori Carter: Most arrogant Dr and man I've ever met. 2 + hour drive for our recheck appt and he walks in and says he has 12 minutes because his son is sick and he has to leave. What about my sick son? Unbelievable. The staff is awesome but Dr Adam Rush is just horrible.
Tracy Dougherty: Me and my daughter saw him for the first time 2 weeks ago....Yes..very blunt....he doesnt sugar coat anything.....my daughter has JIA... for the past 6 yrs......learning disabilities. ....and major depression. ..since then he has referred us to PT OP-T....Neur Dr and a learnin dr....i like him, i finally found somebody to help my girl....somebody. that actually gives a damn about her well being.....after 6 yrs...instead of drs tryin to just guess and give meds and not even the right ones or strong enough for what she needs. Dont be scared of somebody being blunt...straiggt to the point...he doesnt jack around...hes good at what he does.....
Issa Mitzi: Great and trusted doctor. He has managed my son's care since before he turned one. He is nine now. These one star reviews have nothing to do with his abilities as a doctor. He is strict with his time as he has many other patients waiting to been seen. He sits and listens and discusses options. My son went from not being able to walk to pretty much running. I owe a lot of gratitude to him and his staff. He is very a matter of fact and does not sugar coat anything. He may come off abrasive at first, but I have a lot of respect for the man and his team. He doesn't dinky around and he's very on top of things. I would recommend him a million times over.
Dewanda Mosley: Dr Rush is a amazing neuro psych he has brought my daughter back from her multiple TIA's and Chorea in a 2 week span she's looking good these days walking, talking, and writing Dr Rush and his team are some of the greatest in this country in my opinion
Google User: Arrived for appointment 10 minutes early and after waiting 40 minutes, a nurse comes out and says my son can't be seen because we didn't arrive 30 minutes early as Dr. Rush requested. All this after driving over an hour to get there with a 2 and 3 year old. This was just a follow up for him to look over a prosthetic that he recommended we have made to improve my 2 year olds gait. Would've probably taken 10 minutes for him to look over and instead they tell me to either wait around until 5pm to see if maybe he can fit us in or reschedule. I can't believe I was treated this way by a professional. Very upset. Get there early if you decide to go with this guy.
Andy Phelps: Terrible man, terrible doctor. Keep your kids away.

Michael Distler, MD: what do users think?
Zachary Schultz: Dr. Distler was very knowledgeable and insightful. He was very willing to hear my personal perspective on things and after my meeting with him I was able to walk away with a real sense of satisfaction. I could tell he really cares about finding the underlying cause of my pain, he’s working with me to find answers rather than trying to just prescribe things that won’t solve the problem. I highly recommend Dr. D for anyone dealing with back and or spinal issues.
David Halperin: Dr. Distler spent an unusually long time with me and my wife discussing all my options, the pros, the cons. He valued my concerns and respected the "research" I did before coming to my scheduled procedure. And I, in turn, trusted his judgment and his reasoning behind the procedure he chose for me. When skill and knowledge are blended with respect for the patient, that is an ideal situation.
Kasey Roszell: Went to this office with my husband after we felt like his last neurologist did not listen to us, Dr. Distler truly made it seem like he listened and understood the troubles that we were having. His NP Amy is great too!

Grand River Rehabilitation: what do users think?
Rebecca Pence: I had my first visit today. The staff was great and Dr. Rush spent more than an hour sifting thru all my symptoms. I finally got a proper diagnosis, a test ordered, and plans for physical therapy. Thanks to everybody for making me feel cared for.
Carisa Gerber: I apologize- I submitted a negative review for the wrong practice. My 1 star review is NOT for Dr. Adam Rush's practice, it was for an unrelated facility in Ohio. I am trying to remove the review, but in the meantime I wish to post this clarification. Dr. Rush was very polite in his communication with me about this mistake.
Delaney Novak: Dr. Rush was the first validating and understanding physician I saw after years of being bounced around from specialist to specialist for complex medical problems that were dismissed or written off as idiopathic by physicians who were not well versed in functional pain syndromes/nociplastic pain. Because chronic illnesses in this category are both invisible and with no known structural abnormalities, I experienced frequent gaslighting and invalidation by most respected specialists in the south/central Michigan area, including providers at a nationally acclaimed university medical center. Not only was Dr. Rush completely validating and compassionate when making my initial diagnoses, but he was adamant in iterating that my symptoms, experiences, and, most importantly, pain was not psychological in nature, but a result of real dysfunction within my central nervous system, and as a result, various affected organ systems. Further, Dr. Rush has spent and continues to spend time investigating peripheral symptoms/diagnoses as well as treatment options for my conditions and he was the first physician to prescribe me an atypical, life changing medication other providers had refused to consider, even when I presented them with medical literature proving its efficacy and safety. The population of patients with chronic invisible illnesses/disabilities is vastly underserved, and I cannot think of a better, more understanding physician to treat this patient group than Dr. Rush. Dr. Rush is always available to contact, whether that be through one of the fantastic receptions in office, or through his personal cell number after hours. Finally, the lack of a need for a physician referral to see Dr. Rush is an amazing benefit and removes a huge barrier to care that would potentially prevent a large majority of patients from ever receiving accurate diagnoses and subsequent treatments. Dr. Rush and the small, but kind team at Grand River Rehabilitation is truly a gift to Michigan and the medical community as a whole; I could not recommend this practice more.
Nikki Shipley: Dr Rush LISTENS to his patients. He has compassion and sincerely wants his patients to feel better. He explains his reasoning for everything he does. He also allows for the time that is needed in his visits. He does not Rush.
Kimberly Kamp: Dr Rush is a very kind and compassionate doctor. He takes time to understand what brought you to him. He educates you on what is happening inside you. He makes a plan and gives you hope!
