Doug Matthews: Stay away from these folks. Did just fine disassembling and reassembling the table but ordered and installed the wrong color felt. He blamed it on the supplier and assured me they'd make it right. After several follow-ups (all initiated by me) over the course of six weeks, and even offering to order the felt myself, he stopped responding and actually blocked my number. Shady and dishonest, and they'll be receiving a court summons.

This last experience went from unpleasant to bad fast.This last servicing, the owner came with a technician. He order 8 foot felt (though 9 foot was needed) and blamed me (very rudely) for the error and made me pay a down payment. He said it would take a few days. I had to call him 3 weeks later and he said it had just come in...fine. The owner and his technician show up to do the refelting. About 30 minutes into the work they were screaming profanities in my basement for over 90 seconds at each other, (MFer, GD this, FU, Etc...). I don't mind a little cussing, but this was a full on yelling and cussing match between the OWNER and his worker in OUR home.

Tim Gray: I did more of a "Four Men and Two Trucks" situation because I had a lot of stuff and I didn't want anything left behind. The crew which arrived included Reddeck, Marcel, Adrian, and Emil. They were all courteous and took care to move my things and the boxes I had packed up. I had three issues with the move, two large items which were damaged, and a set of storage drawers which the crew carried down the stairs upside down, scattering the contents withing the drawers.The company promptly sent me a check per the insurance I bought for the move which covered the replacement of the two items. They also acknowledged the problem with moving drawer units upside-down and said they'd take it as a training opportunity.Overall I'm quite satisfied.I want to give an extra call-out to Adrian from the crew that showed up for my move - he was particularly polite, and during unloading he would often ask me where a box went instead of setting it in the first empty spot he could find.

Kristin Marie: I had the worst experience with this company, and will NEVER pay for that service again. Several pieces of furniture were broken by the movers, and I only moved 1.3 miles down the road. This is understandable, things happen. The first problem was when they told me I did not choose to have the insurance, which I most certainly did. They finally agreed to cover the items under the insurance I purchased. I moved in February and the damage reimbursement should have totaled over $1,100 for the two cabinets, and the mirror was taken to be fixed by the end of February. I then never heard from anyone and was unable to get a response from anyone for weeks! I’d finally hear back, with apologies and their ownership of dropping the ball. Only to not hear from them again for weeks. This went on for months, and now it is almost September and I JUST received a check in the amount of $658 last week. It is a huge disappointed as I was assured this experience would not resemble my last one with them a year prior, and that any issues would be handled promptly and appropriately as they were under new management. By far, this was the worst professional business I have ever purchased services from. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.They honestly make it so much hassle to ask for the rest of what’s owed to me, I wouldn’t even get a response. So shame on any company that treats customers this way.

It was my first time moving from an apartment, and my friend recommended I hire Two Men and A Truck because she had a positive experience. I much appreciated how organized and clear the process was. I had to change my estimate a few times, but the employees were helpful and understanding each time I called. I appreciated them calling me days in advance to confirm my move and update the list of items I had. So when the move-out day arrived, everything went so smoothly. I had the pleasure of working with Sadi and Nick, who were so nice... and so FAST! What would have taken me DAYS to do = they did everything in less than 2 hours. (To give context, I lived on the second floor of my apartment building which did not have any elevators, and I had over 50 boxes, each weighing 25 lbs. Plus had a sectional couch and bed) I anticipated it being a LONG morning for all three of us, but Sadi and Nick were not phased by it. After moving all my stuff out, we all had to drive ~2 hours to my new apartment. When we arrived, everything was going well until we realized that my sectional couch did not fit my new apartment building's elevator. LOL (I was staying on the 4th floor. RIP to Sadi and Nick). They still managed to get the couch in my apartment, and I can't express how thankful I am for how careful they handled each of my items! The cost of moving is not cheap and can especially take a lot of your time and energy, but hiring professional movers truly made the difference for me. It was SO worth it. I will definitely be recommending Two Men and a Truck to my friends. If I could give 10/5 stars for my experience, I most certainly would. Big thanks to Two Men and a Truck! They used straps to lift it over our balcony on the second floor of an apartment complex. The crew was polite and got the job done with ease. This was the only place in Grand Rapids that would bring the couch in this way, so I can’t express enough gratitude for these guys. Will likely have to hire them again come time to move again.

Pattie Kooy: A cardboard box of books was negligently left on the open front porch. It was raining all day! I didn't see the box due to patio chairs in front of it. The box was left, where the rain falls off the roof. Totally destroyed 26 collector books (2 no longer in print) soaking in rain when I found them.The Managers were rude when I reported the damages and sent photos of the damage, blamed me for not upgrading to the best insurance for replacement value. They said they are not liable for negligence or damages. They said my insurance was ,60 cents per pound damages. Plus my gas grill knocked over being removed from the truck, in yard. Broken hood.I've requested a claim form 4 times. They refuse to respond.They are all good, I'm sure, if no damages..If there is damage, they will blame you, be rude and refuse to send you a claim form.They stated "send a request thru a small claims court"!I;ve contacted BBB and Fox 17 problem solvers. My son is also following up with an attorney.PS. I moved 90 miles. My estimate was $1,300.00. My bill was $1,700.+.00I was not given a copy of the itemized bill. This has been requested multiple times also. The estimate was verbal, nothing was sent to me so far validate this, Estimate I was given over the phone of $1,300.00 or the final bill of $1,700.00...for a 2 bed house, less than 1,000 sq ft house, moving to a smaller house.They said I was charged for mileage, weight and State of MI regulates the cost.The move cost me $200.00 an hour and $800, in damages to books and a broken gas grill.Be very cautious with this company!

Eryn Wukawitz: Awful! Movers we’re careless with my furniture and items, careless with my time and unprofessional. They arrived unprepared with no carts or tools. They made comments about my concern, I’m “like most women, just worried about my stuff”. Furniture, mattresses and wall hangings were not even wrapped. Items were dropped, dented, scratched and completely broken. There was no inventory sheet or anything to sign, either. When delivering, they arrived at the new place BEFORE me, drove on every part my lawn next to the driveway, creating HUGE dips in the lawn. Owner, who seemed nice enough, promised to make things right. He said he’d have a landscaper come out to repair my lawn, and a furniture repair person come and assess damage to my furniture to repair. 2 weeks later after hounding him, the owner came, with a couple bags of dirt and grass seed. Lawn is still as it was, just with more grass. I still cannot even mow where the movers drove bc of how deep the tracks are. No one called or showed up to assess the heavy damage to my furniture, AND damage to the walls of my new place. I’ll spare you the photos of my damaged furniture. This company made the excitement of moving to a new place, into a horror story. Terrible experience. Would NOT recommend.

Andrew Stevenson: This team did a fabulous job helping me get the heavy stuff out of my house that I couldn't move myself. such things like a couple couches and dressers. They arrived on time, had a great attitude, and were able to get everything loaded into their truck and delivered to my new place in just a couple hours. This was my first time using a moving company and I did take the time wrap and box up anything properly that I didn't want scratched. This isn't a dig on Big Lake. I just like to be accountable for my own items we we've all moved before and things get broken. Its gonna happen. When they showed up I was able to point out the items I needed help with and they got to work and everyone had a great day! 10/10 would use their services again!

I totally recommend them. When I move one day to a home I will re hire this company to move me even if they are not on this side of the state!!! I thought I couldn’t get anything out of my tiny little apartment and that it would take hours just to move it into a storage unit because my new apartment wasn’t ready to move into yet, but they showed me they could do it. 2 men came to help, one was Ray. He was great!! With the amount of stuff I had and thinking I’d given them stress with the move, they even said I could request them to move in my to my new apartment. Now that is quality service!
