Pine Rest Psychiatric Urgent Care Center: what do users think?
Jan Betzer: I am so thankful for Pine Rest. They helped my son out tremendously and are wonderful caregivers! Their Urgent Care Center is the best! Feeling thankful!
Marcus Brown: I applied for Evs technician. Upon my interview the evs manager asked me a question that left me speechless. She asked how do you clean a toilet. My god I almost walked out. I have 20 yrs of experience in this field. Worst experience ever..
Jennifer Dibble: I choose these rehabs because I have family members who committed suicide. Listen and help ur family members before they take there lives😪
Makayla Dorn: Thank you pine rest for giving me a new turn of life!
Kami Knikelbine: Sat for 2 and a half hours to never be seen, set up a telehealth appointment the next day then sat and looked at the screen for 45 minutes waiting after getting a babysitter. They don’t care at all about helping there next available appointment is July. So I guess I’ll wait 4 more months for the help I need.
Sheri Benedict: My daughter who has medcaid was turned away because of her insurance! She is going through a crisis and they turned her away! What a joke! UPDATE.....i just called the number that was left in the reply only to get voice mail (which i believe there is never an actual human answering the phone). I guess they really dont care to hear about our experience at this point.
Roxanne Graham: Took my daughter to urgent care today. We waited 3 hours 15 mins then left. When people are having a mental health issue, they certainly shouldn't be waiting that long.
Stephanie Emanuele: I know everyone’s experience is different, but I honestly have nothing but positive things to say about how the Pine Rest care team has treated me. My urgent care visit resulted in a few appointments with the transition clinic so I have interacted with 3 separate physicians at Pine Rest and every single one of them has treated me with empathy, kindness and respect. I was thoughtfully prescribed medication that has vastly improved my quality of life. I went to the urgent care alone and was very nervous, but it was one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. I really appreciate the work of everyone who has participated in my treatment plan.
Alexandria Buist: My dad was admitted for a week. He has easy to accommodate nutritional needs. It was 5 days of his 7 day stay that a nutritionist came to see him. He lost significant weight when he’s already dealing with health and weight issues. They did not adequately accommodate something you’d expect to be so simple. I’m so highly disappointed they did not act faster to help him with his nutritional needs. They took so much convincing to allow him to be admitted. I’m so frustrated that it has to be that difficult to get someone the help they desperately need. Would not recommend.
Benji Johnson: I was forced to go into Pine Rest in September. It was the most disturbing place I have ever been. Not only was the staff making me uncomfortable but the Doctor's did too.
Shelby Dougherty: Dropped the ball several times
Robert Young: Terrible experience, they don’t want to help anyone here they want to charge your insurance. The doctors are afraid of their own shadow when it comes to prescribing medication. Absolutely a trash establishment. Don’t come here if you need help.
Lisa Pierce: Chris the nurse practitioner is verbally abusive. I was accosted by another patient in the waiting room with 7 employees looking on doing nothing. This is not a place your should send your loved ones. This man needs some serious help with his anger issues and should not be working with patients.
Ryan DeYoung: Rushed could over hear over patients conversations. They seemed to judge patients. Avoid.
Gabi Buikema: Took a loved one here today for an evaluation and to get prescribed medicine to help them out. Chris B did the evaluation and did an amazing job! He was very kind hearted, genuine and understanding of the situation. Making sure to get my loved one on the best treatment plan to help him out. He was knowledgeable and had reasoning behind every treatment idea and medication he prescribed. I’ve never had such great care. This took a lot of weight of my loved ones shoulders and was well worth driving an hour for. Staff at the front desk and intake were also amazing and you could tell they really cared about the people in their care. I truly believe this place helped save my loved ones life. Thank you to all of the urgent care staff. You rock
Paul Klein: Pine rest saved my life and helped me with my addiction to alcohol and helped me more then they will ever know. The redwood unit was the best thing I needed in my life and the staff on that unit was great Kara the nurse was wonderful and very helpful dr. Salieem was a wonderful and truly cared about what I needed and truly listened to me and kaitlyn the activity therapist was also great she truly helped me with thing about things and easy to talk too.
Clifford Thompson: Not clifford this is Aaron Meehan but the place was great I had suicidal ideations with a plan and got admitted the staff was caring and patient
Pete Edwards: We were so glad to find out Pine Rest has an Urgent Care branch. Many of the Pine Rest reviews are not positive? Our experience was really positive (totally positive) and we are so grateful for the thoughtful and proactive care our loved one was given. We drove 3 hours to get there and it was so worth it. All we can say is thank you and keep up the good work.
Dana Burgess: We have a very unique situation that they trusted us on and worked with us. They were very flexible with allowing breaks for my daughter. We were given a new treatment plan swiftly. We are thankful for this resource!
Michael Troian: This place is a joke. I called before heading down to make sure I could get refills on 2 prescriptions that I was out of, and have been taking regularly for over six years. I was told "yes". I re-confirmed this with a staff member (where I signed in) once I arrived. After completing paperwork, I was told they aren't able to prescribe those medications. It was a complete waste of my evening.
val: I went there and like I was traumatized by my manager but I met a kid so

Pine Rest Christian Counseling Center: what do users think?
Allison Shishakly: This place is great!
Kathryn Smith: Professional staff, excellent atmosphere.
Ben Horton: Great staff and really great service. 10/10 and overall super satisfied.
Christina P: The staff here need training in professionalism. This is not the the first or second issue I have had here but the THIRD. Today I was laughed at and hung up on by an office staff because I was not comfortable with their processes. I called back and asked for the office manager and was not even put on hold, I could hear her speaking poorly about me and sharing a patients MRN and medical info to other office staff. As someone in the medical field I’m disgusted by this behavior, not to mention HIPAA violations. The office manager pretended like she was interested in resolving my issue but of course after promising to call me back with a resolution, I never heard from her again. When I started treatment here I was assigned a therapist and upon googling her and finding her ‘about me’ I didn’t believe she was a good fit for me. I browsed other therapists at this facility and found a better fit, called back and was told no they would not change who I was assigned to and the therapist I requested “wasn’t taking new patients anyways”. I called the next day still feeling uncomfortable with the therapist I was given, the employee I spoke to this time told me the therapist I originally asked for absolutely is taking new patients and scheduled me with her. Lazy, unprofessional, and horrible customer service. My therapist is wonderful and has helped so much but the receptionists and schedulers need to find a new career path because customer service is not their strong suit.
Whitney Danielle: I paid thousands of dollars across three years to have someone listen to my and offer some sympathy and understanding. My therapist was kind, but I had to put a pause on therapy due to financial reasons. Despite consistently paying my bill across three years, Pine Rest billing and collections department sent my balance to a collections agency without any notice provided. I never received a phone call, letter in the mail, etc. They sent some automated notice through MyChart, which is a platform I do not frequent. Despite my good track record with Pine Rest, my account is in Collections. I also was never contacted by Pine Rest to restart therapy or to make sure everything was okay - I literally dropped off the grid months ago, unexpectedly, and all I got was some generic "time to pay your bill" message through MyChart. Just because this is the largest mental health facility in the area doesn't mean they can throw customer service out the window. I invested a lot of time and money in making the very difficult decision to start therapy, and am sad that the experience was marred by the lack of organization and structure on their end.
Cass JoAnn: i think pine rest really helped me out of my emergency state but they didn’t give me a lot for the long run. but other than that it was a great experience
