AAA Fence was here on time, gave me an estimate, talked through some options and I chose to go through them for my fence project. Honestly, this was an AMAZING experience! My yard is sort of large for city living and it has a slope that is cumbersome. AAA Fence built the fence on site and followed the slope of the yard with the fence without gaps between the ground and the fence. I also changed it up a bit and added a 3’ garden fence with a gate. Melissa Harmon: My husband and I hired Superior Fence to build a basic privacy fence on 2 sides of our yard and a 4’ gate for an area next to our garage. Their sales rep Geoff visited our property in person, and then sent us a proposal which included a drawing of the fencing we had discussed along with a 4’ section marked next to our garage (which we assumed was the gate we had discussed), and he also included a “box” around a large neighboring tree that was growing too close to our existing fence. The proposal included tear-out and removal of our existing fence and gate. On the day that the tear-out of the old fence and gate was to begin, we had a visit from Eric to go over the plans in person. Eric modified the plans because he said that a box around the tree was not necessary, instead he recommended moving the fence portion in by 8” to eliminate the need for the box. We agreed, assuming there would be a price deduction for removing the box from the plans. They proceeded to remove the old fence and gate, and replace it with fence panels ONLY, including the section that was supposed to be a gate! We were shocked by this since Geoff saw the old gate in person, before he wrote the proposal, and Eric saw it in person before the project began (and even discussed it) and then their crew saw it again when they removed the existing gate. When I contacted Superior for resolution, they claimed that we never asked for a gate and that they never quoted a gate! Why would we want them to remove a gate and replace it with a solid fence panel? There is no way for us to access that area of our yard now. Eric tried twice (in person then via email) to get us to sign a form that said, “no changes were made”. When I pressed him, he added a hand-written note about removing the box but never followed through on adjusting the cost for us. The owner Phil told us that we should have noticed that they didn’t quote a gate, because a gate would have been drawn differently in the proposal. (How would we know that?!) The owner Phil’s only resolution offered was to try to sell us a gate now for an additional $515.00! (And that was supposedly “already discounted” to make up for their poor communication) No thank you! They were already being VERY shady by not deducting the amount of the tree box they never built. (Until I pressed them multiple times about it) I would never recommend this company to anyone!Service:Wood fence installation

I did have to call to remind them which way to hang the fence (was pretty clear before and on day of disassembly) which caused a delay of a few days because they had to reposition the posts. It was an easy remedy and the salesman Pete was right on top of it for me. The only downfall I have at the moment is that a few of the nails were not placed properly and are sticking out, I will need to call them back to get that fixed so my kids don't accidently scratch themselves on them. I also noticed when mowing my lawn that one full section of the slats is not nailed to the runner on the bottom so they are loose. Zak Kraushaar: Its hard to know where to start.We had an old wood fence around half of our back yard that needed to be replaced and we needed to install a fence on the other half dividing our yard from the neighbors.Pete showed up right on time to walk the property and get his measurements for a quote.He was very upfront and honest about lead times and scheduling, which I appreciated.After receiving the quote and being very happy with the price we decided to move forward with the install.Pete reached out to me a week before the install to let me know when his team would be on site. This type of forward communication is a prime example of one of the things that puts Straight Line Fence head and shoulders above the rest. I had ample time to make sure my yard was ready for them and was able to make sure I could have time in my schedule to meet them the morning of to ensure they had everything they needed to get kicked off.The day before the fence was to be installed my neighbor expressed some concern about where the fence was going to land and was worried about her plants and flowers along the proposed fence line.Pete sent his Project Manager, Jake, out immediately to meet with me and my neighbor so we could all have a face to face discussion and make sure she was comfortable with where the fence was going. He spent over an hour answering all of her questions and relieving all of her concerns. He even went so far as to mark out the ground with her so she was completely aware of the install location.The next day Straight Line Fence replaced the old fence on half of the yard, but when they were going to start the portion dividing me and the neighbor's yard, she expressed more concern about it possibly ending up on her property.At this point I had to shut it down, unfortunately. I told the neighbor I would get the property line surveyed and staked so there was no chance of us crossing into her yard.This meant I had to tell Pete and his install team they had to stop what they were doing. Pete was more than understanding. He explained to me they wanted to make sure the fence was installed correctly, where it could be allowed to go, and without making our home lives difficult by upsetting the neighbor.After getting the property line marked, Pete made sure to get his guys back to my house within a week to finish up the other half of the fence. They finished the fence, made sure to not disturb the neighbors flowers and plants, and cleaned up any debris they had left over.Given that I spend alot of time away from home for work, it is reassuring to know there are companies like Straight Line Fence that do care about the customer, are aware of the impact their work can have, and I feel like I can trust. Their attention to detail, their handling of permits with the city, their awareness of "neighborhood politics", and their consideration of everyone involved, is why I will never recommend any other company but them to do any fence work.On top of that, they were extremely quick. Their install crew was polite, respectful, and professional. Last but not least, the fence looks AMAZING. I cant even count the number of people in the neighborhood who have stopped while walking by to comment on how good it looks.Buying a new fence can be a big investment, which can make it daunting.
