Redux Books: what do users think?
Cathy Kendrick: Love this!
Elizabeth Arias: This store’s “history” section is just 6 shelf’s of World War II fascination and the rest is settler colonialism propaganda. Why do you have a vintage Mein Kampf at eye level while Toni Morrison is on a shelf at our feet. Why are you even selling it in the first place? I think the way Redux Books could help the community most is by burning down.
Nate House: A gem in the Eastown district. Stacks upon stacks of paper goodness. This is my local bookstore. The spot I can go and find the books I want to fill my shelves. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. And the books are plentiful and various! Definitely check out Redux!
Shelly Pfeifer: Such a great place to find books!!! I found some gently used books for such a great price! And the lady working the counter was very friendly!!!
Erin Jackson: Large selection of used books and reasonably priced. They also have some pretty cool first editions. The extra touch was a box of toys for my toddler to play with as I looked around.
brooke imhoff: Theyve got a huge selection of books but the lady up front was very rude to me and my sister which off put the experience to begin with. Book prices seem really high for a used book store. Its cute to look at but not to buy anything.
Anna F: This bookstore is amaaaaazing. Honestly probably one of the best used bookstores I've been to. Fantastic selection of C.S. Lewis books, so it's a must visit if you're a Lewis lover. There's books everywhere, including shelves and shelves in the basement. Most of the books are reasonably priced ($3-$5), but there are quite a few used books for $10, which seemed a bit on the pricier side for a used book. The poetry section seemed to be mainly on the higher side which was a bit of a bummer.Overall, it's a must visit, though, and I highly recommend!
Robert Hunter: one of the great bookstores—one to get lost in. lots of treasures!
Tyler McCafferty: Very friendly service was out fast and had what I was looking for
Clay Ashby: Nice little book shop with some modern titles and some really rare stuff.
Matthew Curry: Very nice find ! I walk by here often and decide to stop and look, lucky I did as they had several titles that I was interested in reading. Picked out 3 , plan on coming back again after I finish reading these. Owner was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Pricey, but I think they are reasonable , after all a small business has to turn a profit, otherwise they wouldn’t be in business.
josh strickland: Great book selection, but be prepared to get ripped off if you’re selling them anything. Walked in with $400 worth of books, they wanted $250 worth, I was offered $20. They buy low and sell high. Very shady. I’ll never give them my business again.
Robert Stowell: Great place. Great selection of books !
Ken Mccarty: Staff extremely rude, parking very difficult. Would give zero stars if I could. Go somewhere else.
Wayne Edgar: Like stepping into a time machine and a portal to other worlds at the same time!
Elizabeth Koning: My favorite book store! Great selection and service, and reasonable prices.
Evan Parat: While mass-publishing has done much good for modernity, at the same time it has brought a wretched curse unto us: the uglification of books. How many libraries and bookstores today boast many---if any---books with a design representative of the truth contained therein? Few. Most people have become complacent to the grotesque brutalism which has tricked down from art to architecture, fashion, food, media, book design, and nearly every other facet of life once good and wholesome. When one thinks of a classic book, he imagines a thick-covered, properly-bound tome tied together with flax threadwork, a vibrantly-striped headband, and three raised bands crisscrossing a durable spine, with pages of Venetian marbling and woodcut prints encasing a font which glides across the page like butter on a hot skillet. "Don't judge a book by its cover," one may retort, but this exterior beauty and structural intentionality is a reflection of the interior beauty of the book's content. When we abandon this for the beige placidity or abstruse mess nearly modern book falls into, we lose sight of the metaphysical need we have for beauty. We are ontologically starving ourselves to death.Shops like this are at the secular front of the war between the ugly and the beautiful, selling traditional books whereby one can beatify his library while the Truth beatifies his mind. This is not a war we can afford to lose.
Kafka Is My Husband (SlenderWalrus): Huge selection of books, all well-priced. Great location and easy to find, often has a cart full of deals outside as well.
Hills (Hillary S.): A great place for picking up unique titles and things that are harder to find---great quality for most of the books, especially as they're used. Take time to find treasures!
Sean Martin: Redux books offers a lot of old books from a diverse number of genres. I definitely recommend visiting if you have a love for old books! They look great as decoration or for reading.
Franz Craesmeyer: It's an old quirky bookstore, of course it deserves 5 star rating! (:

Books & Mortar: what do users think?
Margaret Hansen: Most excellent local bookstore with very helpful staff. I love the family friendly atmosphere.
Anna S.: Love visiting this store whenever I’m in the area. Good selection and the staff is always friendly and helpful.
Jianna Primm: Really nice vibe. A few books caught my eye, but decided on this one to travel home with me. Was happy to cross paths with this shop. Thank you!!
Ryan Niblett: Great bookshop. Wide open design with lots of new books. Plenty of a selection for kids and adults and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Recommend spending your time here!
Mickey Carolan: A great bookstore in Grand Rapids. Hospitable atmosphere and a wide array of diverse books. Stop in the next time you’re in the area and ask them to order a copy of Sky, the Deaf Home Run Hero!
Anna Moyer: Outstanding independent book store, thoughtful curated. Hang onto your wallet..
Lindsay Teeples-Mitchell: Such a special place. Absolutely love the staff, the inclusive curation and heart of this place. Such an important part of the community.
Hannah M: I order all my books though Books and Mortar. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I love chatting with them about books every time I stop by!
David VanderVelde: Small independent bookstore, but the selection of books is much better than you might expect from the size. Helpful staff
Paul Houle: Well curated and stocked bookstore with exceedingly pleasant staff. Highly recommend giving this place a visit to replenish the reading lists!
David Aye: Clean
Lance Safford: Fantastic indie book shop. I wanted to read the whole store
Kelly Cheese: Favorite bookstore in town, hands down. Jenny, the owner, is wonderful as is her staff. The book selection is always on point and very well rounded. It’s a great stop for anyone who loves a good book or who may be looking for a gift. Plus, it’s a safe space for all readers.
Jessie Guerrero: Not only is the space welcoming for all, the continual commitment to social justice is a huge draw for us to keep coming back. Great people, great books and everything a bookstore should be.
Kayla Benda: The kind of business that deserves way more than five stars. They stand up for what they believe in while providing a safe space for every type of reader. And I mean books. Come on.
Courtney Kliss: Best bookstore in the state IMO! Staff is absolutely lovely, selection is inspiring and well curated. Being a customer and book club member during my time in GR was so special and I miss it all the time since moving. Books & Mortar cares about people, the city, and the environment and it shows in what they promote and the community building they inspire. This place is a huge pick me up on a bad day, and an inspiring and safe space when things feel tough. Good work is being done here, it’s so much more than a bookstore.
Sarah Drevon: Beautiful shop and great selection. Love having them close on Cherry St.! A true GR staple nowadays.
Erin Arrowood: I absolutely love this bookstore. They have a wonderful collection of books, they support teachers, are diverse and inclusive, and work extremely hard to build our community. I am beyond lucky to have this shop in my neighborhood!
Joel Brandt: Why business owners feel the need to share their politics with a class trip is beyond me. I do not care you have a book club for school age children to find their gender identity or that your store is pro choice. Keep politics out of commerce. We will order from Amazon in the future or go to Schulers.
Keegan Kallmyer: Best local book store in GR. Have never had a problem getting a book.
Hannah Taplin: I have been a regular at Books and Mortar for years! If you are looking for a wide selection of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, etc and a competent staff who will give you recommendations and order books promptly and keep you informed about your order, look no further than Books and Mortar! Jenny and her team are so kind and friendly and are always willing to go above and beyond for their customers and their community. I cannot sing their praises enough.

Great Matter Books: what do users think?
Jake Thompson: Nice little store, mostly non-fiction and plenty of diversity in books. The owner was friendly for conversation and I was glad I stopped in and got a few books that day.
Rod Dewey: Don't judge this book by its cover! This tiny gem specializes in non-fiction and unlike most used book stores it is clean, neat and very well organized. The owner is a super-nice guy, very helpful and he runs a buy one get one for 50% off BOGO. I walked out yesterday with two hard cover, first edition books for a whopping $17.00, and if my wife hadn't been with me I would have left with an armful of books! Highly recommended...I can't wait to go back.
Jeanne Urbanski: Non fiction only...and what an amazing selection!
Steve Ayers: This is an intelligent bookstore, with an excellent and discriminating selection; and equally important, the books are priced to sell! Strongly recommended.
Jordan Wuorinen: This is my favorite used bookstore in the world! I always find a bunch of great books about various subjects.
Ginger Noll: A wonderful place filled with non-fiction books. Lots of historical (local and global) books. Some very rare books can be found here, too. We truly enjoy this shop.
Zoe Pentaleri: The store has a small footprint, but an incredibly well-curated inventory — it's probably the best bookstore in West Michigan. The owner is a real salt-of-the-earth guy, too. The place is altogether a bibliophile's heaven on earth.
Charles Cohn: Great curated selection of books that don't require any real digging to find something you'll find interesting or unique. Very diverse and organized selection. The owner is one of the most personable and knowledgeable dudes I've had the pleasure of talking to. If you live out of town, it's worth the drive to go to this place alone. I can't recommend it enough.
Brenda Rich: I like this tiny bookstore even though here isn't anywhere to sit and most books are priced high like $20. That's high for new books let alone used ones. There are 2 book cases that books are $2 . Kid friendly? Nope. Buy he's very helpful and knowledgeable. The lack of a star is for the prices and lack of seating.
Laura Casaletto: Pretty adorable place, friendly, seems to be specializing in history and avoiding kid's books and fiction. It's definitely curated. I've also sold them a few books and enjoyed the experience.
Elizabeth Huntley: What a delightful shop with a fantastic selection of nonfiction titles! Something for everyone! Personable owner/operator!
noemy lopez: Walked into this place hoping to find a lot of children's books for my classroom. I was actually shocked by the wide variety of non fiction books they have here! And super vintage books as well. I did end up finding some unique children's books and had a good conversation with the clerk when checking out. I wasn't just a customer coming to buy books. We got to talk about some of my selections and went on to talk about life and attending college and careers we chose to study. There was also a beautiful mural painted on the side of the building!

The atmosphere is great if you are looking for a place to shop for books, get a cup of coffee and chill. Reformation Heritage Books: what do users think?
Caleb Painter: I'm a Youth Pastor and I always make sure to stop by this book store if I am in GR. Great selection of solid theological resources. I have discovered many great resources from my visits here. Highly, highly recommend. Also, great service. I tell everyone about it and try to get there as often as I can!
Jason Silverthorne: Reformation Heritage Bookstore provides titles from authors and publishers that you can trust. The staff on site is extremely knowledgeable and very willing to help. It is a first class bookstore in an age where the bookstore has become a place to buy knick knacks and other forms of media.
Josi Stevens: Wonderful selection of quality books. Small but nice l coffee shop.
Justin Blackwood: Best bookstore in town!
Roy Henry: This is always a go-to spot for me when it comes to finding some of the most solid theological works of not only today, but of all periods of Church history. Their emphasis is on Reformed theology and the Puritans (you can't go wrong there!). The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable - especially Gary, their used book guy. They have many, many more used volumes than what are on the floor, so if you don't see what you're looking for, ask! Their coffee shop is really nice as well, and they provide a free cup of coffee to pastors - they know their clientele! 😁
James Allison: Honestly probably the best christian book store I have ever found. I have only ever purchased online as they are about a 6 hour drive away. The selection is amazing. The best selection of theogical books I have seen. Without having to scour the internet.
Luke L Lambert: Thoughtful book selection, wonderful staff, and great prices!
Jonathon Strefling: Gem of a rare thing these days - a Christian bookstore with books of deep & solid theology. This is the bookstore for you especially if you are interested in the Puritans and Reformers. It is also a very cozy place to sit and read either in the large cafe area (with coffee/espresso drinks & a few bakery items) or in the main area with plenty of seating. My kids (age 7 & 9) enjoyed the "Little Pilgrims" kids area. I actually had to drag them out after an hour. Lastly, the staff there were well-versed in the Scriptures, as I overheard a customer asking some very technical theological questions which were met with a well-educated answer. We'll be back!
Mark Reese: Great tea and very friendly staff
Mark Turcio: The work RHB is doing, by making available the great works of our reformed heritage, will enable a whole new generation to benefit both mind and soul in the years of their sojourning. If you hunger for more of the word of God You will have much delicacies on this banquet table to fill you your family and church.
Johan Pronk: The bookstore for reformed theology with great prices and excellent service.
Joshua Harding: Incredible place, wonderful people, great deals on tendencies books. And amazing coffee!
Evan Stewart: Quite possibly the best brick and mortar Christian bookstore in the country.
Nick Teoh: Amazing bookstore, many of the best books available, and wonderful online service also!
J Rose: I have bought books from RHB online before but haven't been there in person. They have a huge selection of books from a Reformed perspective and based on the catalog they sent me, great prices as well. It looks like shopping in person would be nice as well based on pics from the website.
Angela: Hands down the best Christian bookstore I’ve ever been to! My husband and I drove all the way from metro Detroit just to spend an afternoon looking at books and Reformation Heritage did not disappoint. The facility is welcoming and comfortable with an excellent selection of books.
Ann Hackney: Good experienceWill go again
Levi Simpson: Very nice, clean spot with a good selection of Reformed/Calvinistic books. Mostly new, but there was a small used book section toward the back
Kevin Garcia: One of the best Christian bookstores: large selection of sound, conservative, Reformed and Puritan books. They have a few books in Spanish too, could add more. All the employees are very nice and friendly. Nice building. There's also a coffee shop.
Renee Vasicek: I was looking for an activity book. Unfortunately, they didn't have many.
Paul van Engelenhove: Great selection of books and the kind people who work there make It one of the go-to places for us!

Brian Apel: Super pleased with my purchase! Great service with free shipping! My book arrived in excellent shape! Will be back again!
Mr. Kelly Covelli: Friendly staff. A lot of books 📚
Neil Pare: I don't know exactly what these people are It's definitely not a bookstore Don't waste your time
Jans schipper: Not a book store.
Ginger Noll: Not sure when it changed, but it is a warehouse and not a retail store and public is not welcome. That's what the sign says on their door and there's no other information as to where one might actually find books.
Benjamin Brown: These books are decently priced I'm just not so much into reading. But great place to find some odd books
Sebastian Stoner: Is what it says a book store, recommend to All readers.
