Meghan S: I love coming here! The folks that work here are nice and very helpful, and they have a wide selection of new and used vinyl. I love taking my time browsing the aisles and walking away with a bunch of awesome finds. My favorite record store in town!
Rin Ficus: Love this place. I can find something good and they've always got something interesting playing. If they don't have something in stock they will order it for you too. I've been introduced to a lot of cool musicians from the staff. ◉‿◉
Daniel Crawford: Still an indescribably wonderful place in the heart of our city.
Jeremiah Cone: Favorite downtown record store. I always find something fun I need to bring home.
tonetone090 1: I loved this place huge selection of metal music, and that's hard to find at shops around where I live.
Andrew Fella: I live in Chicago and I have a good sized record collection. I hunt for rare records on Discogs, where a lot of local stores post their inventory online. I saw a record I wanted and was traveling to Grand Rapids for work for the week. I entered Vertigo Music and they had a wide variety of great music. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I inquired about the record and they looked for record in the back, which gave me time to look through their collection. They were so nice and apologized for making me wait as they looked for the record, that they even gave me a discount. I honestly didn’t mind waiting but that extra level of customer service was amazing. I highly recommend this awesome store!
Rick and Brenda Becker: They are wonderful! In 2010 my now husband and I were looking for a place downtown to take our engagement photos and their shop has such great character! We asked, and they granted us permission!💍💘🤟🏽

Samuel Mayes: awesome! love their vynl selection!
Steven Landis: The best record store in West Michigan! So many awesome new and used vinyl for great prices. The new vinyl pricing is literally better than anyone online too. Go visit Herm!
Riley VanDeWeg: Incredible metal section
Dolores Dominguez: Tons of records, very nice selection
Kim Woodworth: Best around to find that special vinyl. If you can't find it here, they will help to get it in for you.
Mitchell Barry: Nothing better
Jon P (Jp): In love with this gem of Grand Rapids! Such a huge scene of music! So. MUcH Death Metal!
Jeffery Russell: Grand Rapids best record store with a nearly overwhelming selection.

Rev Charles' Dodds Record Shop: what do users think?
Golden_shot_tuck: He is varry rude and I say this as nice as possible
Miss Patrice: It took a few email communications, but Seller continued to work with me to make the payment via a system I was unfamiliar with (paypal) but we got it done and I am waiting for my record. Thank you!
Theo Randall: I bought a few records for my sister for her birthday during the quarantine, not only were they hand delivered to my door at a great price, they also threw in a few extras for her! I could tell a lot of thought went into the record selections and packaging, she will love it! I am going to recommend this shop to everyone I can!
Eva Johnson: I'm unsure of Current owners but it was my Go to Shop 4 over 35 years Great Selection. I'd spend hours going through countless LPS
Richard Panek: Whatever you are looking for you will likely find it. (Plus some other things you didn't know you wanted). Like stepping into a time machine for a 'Boomer'.
Tee Berg: Normally.. I would knock a star off for disorganized... BUT.. In my opinion regarding Rev. Charle's Dodds Record Shop... The thrill of the hunt is just that! I really enjoy taking hours looking through stuff like this and finding awesome vinyl treasures I never even knew I wanted!! So, if it were possible to give an extra star for the awesome hunt, alone, I would have given them 6 stars! And there will be many more times that I return to this awesome little record shop! I was looking for an album I had previously owned 25 years ago.. and did not find it in the bins that were alphabetized.. Mentioned it to Scott, and he went and found it for me! So, don't hesitate to ask for something in specific if you have something you are looking for. I left with about 20 albums -averaging in VG condition -A lot of VG+ even. -and I paid less than what I thought they would cost me. -A lot of albums are $5.99! - Happy hunting!
Charles Preston Smith: Wow!
BeTrue ToYourself: A small shop but A LOT of inventory to look through. Vintage record albums and in every genre one may want to look for. Most are in very good condition and some in mint condition too. Scott was very helpful with answering questions as well as being respectful and pleasant to converse with. Thank you Scott for your helpfulness and patience with us.Alrhough we spent a while there we were only able to look through a small portion of their album inventory. We will truly make the time for other visits in the future. We really enjoyed spending a couple hours there this afternoon looking through this massive collection.
Jenn LaClair Shifferd: So fun to dig through the shelves of vinyl. Great service, and reasonable prices on used vinyl. Check them out for Record Store Day every year.
Dave Guy: Great place to find vinyl records. You just don't know what you will find here. Lot and lot of records of every genre. Staff is a great guy. Just ask and he will do his best the answer any question or help in ant way. Scott is one of the good guys. Can't say enough about this store.
David Guy: Very interesting record shop. Small but fun. Very nice people. Great prices and willing to work with you on price. Selection is all over the place as are the records themselves. I think that's the fun of the shop. You can spend time hunting for treasure here and you can find treasure here too. I did!!! Happy hunting.
Sam Lewis: Very cool shop, lots of good finds.
Sandi Supinksi: If they don't have the record, it doesn't exist! What a blast from the past. Would highly recommend a trip there.
Andy Carley: This place is crazy! One of the most immersive record buying experiences that I have ever had. Memorabilia on the walls and ceiling and records everywhere. If your looking for a jem, you will find it here.
Phillip Bliss: VG.
josie krocker: This place is very unique. I love it. I remember when it was on division and ran by Dodd.
Dan Seif: I scored a couple of records that I've been looking for. It's like being in a candy store with a pocket of cash and all kinds of good stuff.
Toni Clayton: Real awesome Records and great Prices.Nice Visit he answered all my Questions..
Ron Schalow: This is more than just a slice of history; it is a labor of love for its owner. The selection just can't be matched. If you want it, you will probably find it at Dodds! Check it out soon.
DALE ZALAORAS: They stock both kinds of music
Tom Powell II: Great Record Shop! I have bought many "Albums" over the years from this shop to take to concerts and get signed. Thank you Charles for keeping this place and the memory's Alive!

Corner Record Shop: what do users think?
Keith Sattler: Awesome store, have what u need, if not, will order....great staff!!!
Kirby&santos: They have just about what you're looking for but prices do rise with the newer ones .. used vinyl is of course much cheaper
Robert Oliver: Great store. Nice selection. Used vinyls are always in good shape.
Ken Vanderstolp: Friendly and helpful
Christopher Bace: Always top notch, helpful customer service!
Scott Rogers: I tried to sell them a mint vintage receiver and they offered me $50. Sold it a week later to another record shop for 500. Rip off artist. They knew what it was worth because they had one in the store for 650.
taylor: i used to love this place at their old location and it was a place i could go that would always help me de-stress but now that management is very rude they acted like i was dumb for asking how much they thought a new record stylus was they also tried their best to avoid talking to me while i was shopping but yet stared at me the whole time and once i would go to a section and look through it one of the workers would go there seconds after and make sure i didn’t ruin anything even though it was all the same and it just really bothers me bc the owner used to know my name bc i was there so much
Candace French: Fun memories browsing through all forms of music media! They'll order what they may not have.
Chuck Hoste: Cool place. Lots of stuff
Amanda Irwin: Nice selection of records.
Calvin Stevens: This place is amazing! Found a ton of great records of music that I love at a very low price. If you like older music or classical music it feels too good to be true, a lot of Records are only six dollars an album. Popular artists from any era cost more of course, $15 to $25 is typical. If you're more of a collector they have new unopened records as well, and appear to sell and repair all makes and models of record players. They have a lot of 45 RPMs as well but I did not take a close look at that selection.
Denny Krynicki: Bought two record players and several LPs. Well satisfied with sales and service.
Jonah VanderPol: Tons of stuff and decent prices!! Super cool store even if you don't want to buy anything.
Ed Schultz: Nice record store, great prices, a large selection of new LPs and equipment.
Scott Wittkopp: Awesome friendly store. Best selection of vinyl in the state!
Positive Pete: Decent selection, good atmosphere, average prices, below average service
Jeremy Chris (Captain): Great staff knowledge about music and players. Excellent selection within the space.
Randy TenBrink: Excellent! Love CRS
Jake V: One of the best record shops around. Great selection. Can get some good vintage equipment as well.
Keegan Kallmyer: One of the best record shops in GR. Ask for Bert.
Michael Keys: I love it there. They are really nice. My brother needs a scooter to get in, but they don't have a ramp. So the second time we went they already purchased a ramp for him to get in. They have a vast selection of music. Along with concerts too. It's well worth the 30 minute drive there.
