Riverside Park: what do users think?
jeff franchi: Need to keep park cleaner
Kaylie Johnson: Very nice and pleasant place for a picnic, a walk or a bike ride along the river.
jers420: Great place to walk my dog and frisbee golf.
Craig Eby Jr: Great family friendly park with amazing scenery. A very long path along the Grand River has many things to do along it. Community events every friday night during the summer (food truck fridays) are great to take family and friends to. It is an awesome place to check out and make a regular place to visit. There are also many spots to fish along this path and has a disc golf course along the river as well.Playground: There are a few playgrounds along the park path and all seem to be in pretty good conditionPicnic area: Plenty of spots along the river path to stop and enjoy a picnic, as well as a few pavilions with picnic tables to sit at. Large trees in the area offer great shade.
Josi Stevens: The Park is beautiful, perfect for walking, jogging, biking and dog walking. Just be careful walking along the river. It is covered with waist high poison ivy.
Ronald Lorenz: Nice park with lots of space. Kinda noisy 'cuz it across the river from a busy expressway.Dog-friendliness: Lots of dog walking so good place to socializePicnic area: Lots of grills and picnic tables
Dawn Wieck: Playground: Although some of the equipment is old, the playground and equipment is in good repair and working order.Dog-friendliness: This is a very heavily used park for dogs.
Kari Hicks: Our favorite place to walk our dog! A huge paved walking path with views of the river, nice restrooms, and a dog drinking fountain. I always feel safe here, and it’s generally well populated, without feeling congested.
Willie Jarrett: Top 5 parks in GR!!Playground: Very SAFE!Restrooms: CLEAN!!!Dog-friendliness: Very friendly, and lots of dog people visit here!Picnic area: Clean, spacious, there's power, grills, gazebo, and perfect placement!
Stefan Pawelka: Almost perfect park. I was wondering, to make it even better, could the city paint bike and walking lanes on the riverfront paved trail? It would lead to safer, more positive outcomes when an interaction between a biker and walker happen.
Audi De Leon: Bonito lugar para caminar
Carol Barton: Restrooms: They are ok! I think they should be a Lil updateDog-friendliness: I have brought my two dogs there
Audra Marie: Beautiful year round! Very old and interesting trees and neat history scattered through the park if you read the signs!
Never A Dull Moment: Beautiful trees & nature areas to enjoy & relax alongside.

Chell Newland: I love Riverside Park, it has boat launches, paved walking trails, bathrooms, disc golf, playgrounds and so much more. We have done birthdays there, graduation open houses and just plain picnics. I cannot say enough good about this park.Playground: This park has more than one playground area!
Ron Key: It's definitely beautiful.i like to watch the waves collapse once they push shore and love the stillness of the night..it's peaceful ...and well there's definitely stuff if ur into that stay wierd.eccentric..
d Wells: Awesome place to just unwind.
Joshua McAlpine: Great park in gr. Lots trails and places to fish

Grand River Park: what do users think?
Leon Korynta: Updated hiking and biking trails
Chris G: Trails are decent here. There’s more dirt paths than concrete which can be a bit of a pain if you come here after a rainstorm. Scenery is still beautiful all the same.
Nicholas Kleyn: It has a very Easy access to the Grand River from the boat launch and then you can boat or fish on the Grand River away from all the people.
Rich Vander Klok: Dog-friendliness: Dogs must be leashed, but some people don't follow the rule. There are a few bag dispensers near the parking lot. There are many great trails, including some that are paved.
Michael Schippers: A great place to walk the trails. Saw the Eagles flying around.
Alex Patterson: The amazing idema explorers trail, now connects Grand River Park and Grand Ravines. You can spend hours out here now between the parks, especially if you have a K9 friend that wants to join in on the fun!Playground: Great playground at the trail head.Restrooms: Nice bathrooms by the pond.Dog-friendliness: Dogs need to stay on leash, unless you head up the hill to Grand Ravines and Dog parkPicnic area: Great spots for summer picnics with lots of trash cans to easily clean up the mess.
Evan Post: Great variety of trails for a few mile hike with several loops to explore and beautiful views of the Grand River.
Robert Keith: Excellent Park.
Cindy Sakowski: Nice paved walkways and a kayak launch ramp floating dock.Dog-friendliness: Lots of dog walkers
Andy Berens: Great trails for walking the dog
Grant DuBridge: Great place for fishing
Jill C: Very nice small playground, bathrooms, trails, and big pond with a walkway and bridge for fishing. They have been working on the trails all summer and the road to the park has a lot of construction going on, but since my grandson is obsessed with construction vehicles, it adds to the fun!
Austin Hughes: Very nice park, only reason for a 4 star is there is lots of construction right now. I'm sure it will be worth it though!
A&A: the park could have a better view of the Grand river, there is almost no view with the existing trails, except for the end of the road that is mostly used to unload boats, besides that there are a few basic trails through a bit of a wooded area
James Smith: Has bathrooms near and lots of fish and nice trail
Jordan Simpson: Updated 7/18/22*Road to park is under construction, but it's still open!*Grand River water levels are way down.Unpaved scenic trailsLeashed dogs okayNo AlcoholNot staffed but the Sheriff and DNR regularly roll through to check on things at all hours. No permit or fees required for visiting.*** 2x Restrooms - 1 is located in pavilion building and this year they have placed a handicap accessible porta-potty by the boat launch! ****** Beware of poison ivy off the trails. Especially when close to river. ***This park has the feel of 2 parks - pavilion & boat launch.Pavilion offers: restrooms (open April 15), scenic lookout, trailhead, small playground, and fenced walk out fishing dock. I believe you can reserve the small indoor space by contacting Ottawa County Parks.Boat launch area is free of trees for easy shore fishing (lots of snags), handicapped accessible kayak launch, access to Riverside trail in the woods. Lots of bass, catfish, gills. Use common worms and poopy brown lures, jigs with white plastics...
J.V.: Love this trail so much for walks with my cats, all the trails are maintained really well, unfortunately a large section [connects about a 4th to a 5th of the trail that connects 2 paths to the main loop] is currently under construction but aside from that its not too busy of a park and i can wander through the trails for about an hour to an hour and a half without hardly any issues with bugs or a lot of people. It appears quite a few people also seem to fish here as well but thats all i can speak towards on that matter.
Michael Merrill: Nearby areas was under construction and the access road appeared to be closed to through traffic, but it wasn't. This cause the park to be nearly empty, which allowed my friend and I to enjoy peace and quiet while we had lunch and played Chess on any one of dozens of empty picnic tables. A few families, who were "in the know" were bringing their kids to hike and fish their favored places. I/we had a wonderful time. Couldn't have ask for better. Even the weather was perfect!
Michael Slenk: Currently under construction, but excited for when it will be done!!
Nicole Strobel: A lovely place to take a walk or play in the playground. Currently there is construction going on, on some of the paths and the road leading to the park, but it is still accessible and mostly usable. It seems like a great place to have a picnic.
Ryan Rodgers: Looks like a lot of great trails are about to be put in!!!

Grand River Open Space: what do users think?
Nick Meekhof: Awesome spot for off-trail snowshoeing and XC-skiing in the winter time, when the floodplains freeze over! You can also let your dog run off-leash here too, which is nice.
Conor Keenan: close it
Amberly Marckini: Odd spot for a park, not a whole lot to it. That being said it's still a nice spot in the area to sit and get some fresh air and peace and quiet. Tried fishing there and the amount of lake weed was a problem. There is a carry only boat ramp great for kayaking and what not, however it's not a huge area and their are many residences on the water. There is a well kept nice bench in loving memory of an individual gone too soon that has a good view. There are a few trails to be walked. There is one pit toilet. Overall depending on your needs it may be worth checking out if you're interested.
Ryan Rodgers: Nice park. Good to walk around
Katie-Jo Woods: Great for fishing!
Mike F: A few good bites
nolyn homik: I have been fishing these ponds since I was 12, i'm now 18. I know all the fish species and ways to catch them in here. Most people overlook a lot of the water that is actually at the grand river open spaces. You can fish more than just the ponds, especially this time of year, their is even a little spill way. species in these water include the following which I have caught and their may be more. My species list from this water: Northern pike, Large Mouth bass, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, Green Sunfish, Warmouth, Channel Catfish, Brown Bullhead, Common Carp. Letting you all in on a little secret, There just may be a tiny population of walleye located at one of these ponds. Good luck and tight lines fellas.
Sarah Lampson: Easy to fish from the shore, my diabled son is able to get down to the shore easily. Almost everyone I have met here is polite and friendly.
Tom Bergman: Needs fish docks and convenient boat launch s
Rex Saliers: Just seen it for the first time today
Jordan Gerard: Great quick spot to fish after work or take kids to! Just remember to pick up our garbage when using the lakes, and mark spearing holes on the ice!
Max Fyne: Love fishing here, very good spots if you search but I wont give it away.
Jenny Barnwood: We did some fishing with our kids. It was a nice easy to use location. There was some litter but not much. It was easy to get to the water and we got several small fish. Nothing we would take home but we just wanted catch and release anyhow.
