Steve & Liz S: My son has used Allied Roofing for several homes in the past. When I mentioned we needed a new roof, he immediately said to make sure we contact Allied. Now, having them replace the shingles on the roof, we are also Allied fans! Our home has several angles and overhangs and Dave's quote was reasonable and honest without a lengthy high pressure sales pitch. Dave's installation team was great as well. They were very friendly and answered my questions. The team was conscientious about the small fish pond and plants making sure to work around them. They cleaned up everything and ran a magnetic strip around the house to collect any nails. If you are looking at getting a new roof or siding, you need to do yourself a huge favor and at the very least include a quote from Allied Roofing. Plus, you won't need to take an entire evening just to get the quote!

The Allied quote was the lowest of 4 different quotes and seemed to be a good value given comparable shingles, warranty and workmanship. The crew showed up as expected and were able to work around the rain fairly well.The communication during the quote process and scheduling of the work was lacking, but Dave had no issues getting me a revised quote for insurance, and waiting for insurance to re-cut a check.I would recommend Allied as the work was done well and quickly (not counting weather delays). I received multiple bids and decided to go with Weatherhead and Son's because of their long track record and excellent reviews. Our particular roof has an odd trough which requires some special attention, and the owner, Andy, reached out to me to discuss the particulars of how they would handle it. The crew arrived in the morning, tore the roof off, replaced it and cleaned up (leaving little debris) and were gone in one day. This summer (2021), we discovered that our roof had been leaking since it had been replaced due to no counter flashing being installed on the SW side of our roof. We became aware of it when the ceiling in our daughter’s bedroom closet FELL OUT due to water damage.) This company (who will remain nameless, but rhymes with Mr. Spoof) sent out an employee to repair the damage; this is how we found out about the missing counter flashing. Because we’d lost all confidence in the company, we decided to contact someone else who could evaluate the work that was done without and vested interest in the company.A family friend recommended we contact Moore & Sons, and we are so glad we did. Ed Moore himself came out to assess the work. In less tan 10 minutes, he discovered:1) There was also no counter flashing on the opposite side of our roof2) The “repair” that was done to the counter flashing on the SW side wasn’t repaired correctly, so the roof would continue to leak3) The flashing around our chimney had been caulked on, and will continue to peel away in hot weather (so we’ve also had water leaking around our chimney this entire time)4) Broken vent on the back of the roof5) Roof in the main area of leak was “soggy” underneath his feetEd was so kind, honest, and professional. He wouldn’t even let me pay him for his work, which shows me he cares more about doing quality work than he does about filling his pockets.Without his honest, unbiased assessment, we would have continued to be swindled by the original company. He assured me "his crew" would do a great job and do it right. No cutting corners. 10 year warranty. I asked if the job would be subcontracted and he said it was all his workers. I got a quote for the whole roof, partial flat roof, along with gutters.Two days later I had a man show up at my house unannounced on a Sunday.. I was not home. He went on my roof to take a look around. I asked Brandon if he sent anyone over, he said no. I was not comfortable with a stranger walking around on my roof, who arrived in an unmarked truck so I had no idea who it was. If he fell off it would have been a very serious issue.Couple weeks later Brandon mentioned he thinks it was his flat roof guy that showed up unannounced. "He does stuff like that".The main roofing crew was incredible. They were a completely different company than Harlow Roofing.. (most of the jobs were subcontracted). The roofing crew cleaned everything up and were very professional. We had a minor roof leak after day 1 because of rain, they came out that night to fix the ice and water shield right away. It wasnt a big deal.The flat roof crew arrived, again another subcontracted company. Did a fine job, didnt clean up very well, but it was fine.The soffit and facia needed to be replaced because I had a gutter fall off the front of the house during a storm. The gentleman that did arrive, was part of Brandon's crew. This was an add on to the original estimate. This employee arrived with no tools, then said he had to leave to go get some tools, arrived 3 hours later, did about an hour worth of work, left again. Came back 2 hours later, then said he needed to come back another day because of a family emergency. I understand things happen. He came back a couple days later to finish the job.The gutter crew arrived (another subcontractor) excellent company, but this was their first time working with Brandon. They started to work on the gutters and noticed there was a huge gap that needed to be filled between the soffit and the roof with a 2x4 so they could attach the gutters to something. There was also a huge puddle on one of my lower roofs where more water was leaking in. This was after the roof was replaced. Gutter crew said they couldnt put gutters on until that was fixed. I am grateful they found the issues and notified me.I asked Brandon to bring someone out to fix it. He brings his crew member, who demonstrated the same work ethic as before. Work 1 hour, leave for 2-3, come back work for 1 hour, then disappear for 4. Made me think they were definitely trying to add on to the cost by utilizing labor hours. Finally the saggy roof and soffit issue gets fixed, gutters can go on. Again, the gutter crew was amazing and had excellent communication.I financed 2/3 of the job and paid cash for 1/3. With the added work, I asked for a finalized invoice. The cash portion was paid upon completion. I asked for a receipt from Brandon showing the non-financed part was paid in full. (needed it for taxes this year). He refused to provide one. He continuously responded to my emails saying he was too busy with work and family to send over a receipt. The job was paid in full after 3 months, I still have not received a receipt.2 weeks after the gutters were completed. The gutter company called and asked me if I paid for the job. I stated that I paid for 1/3 of the job upon completion. They were concerned because they could not reach Brandon for payment on their end.Recently had a bunch of rain, I noticed there is a leak near my fireplace. I was concerned the flat roof was not sealed properly. I called Brandon, texted him, and called the office line with no response. So much for the 10 year warranty.

A E: It's either incompetence or they did it on purpose.They left so many nails in my driveway, had them back multiple times just to clean their trash. They didn't even do work near my driveway but there were so many rusted nails under and on top of my RV.Cleaned out my gutters for the season and just found 200-300 more nails in my gutters.The section of roof the fixed is less than 8*20. The gutter only covers one half of that. I don't even understand how this many is possible, it's like they dumped their trash directly into my gutters...which would be why they are now barely hanging on to my roof/siding. So I will taking legal action. My dad is a veteran and he is 85 years old. And they took advantage of him.

Joe Senneker: Jake from Endura responded very quickly to our request for a quote to tear off and replace our old roof. He was very thorough in his initial inspection, and left an extremely detailed quote with us the same day. I will say that Endura was not the cheapest quote for the job, but I've learned that going with the lowest bid isn't always the best choice. I had concerns about the time it would take to complete and the inevitable mess that would be left behind because of a bad experience with a previous roofing company many years ago. Jake made us feel very comfortable right from the beginning, assuring us that the job would take about 6 hours, and everything would be thoroughly cleaned up before the crew left. Endura exceeded my expectations. The crew showed up on time, and had the entire roof replaced in less than 6 hours! The roof looks fantastic, and the clean up was so thorough that you would not even know they had been there except for the sign they placed in the front yard... and a great looking new roof....oh, and the dumpster that is still in my driveway (please come get that!) A skylight with nails sticking out of it was left in my driveway for weeks, I had to ask multiple times for it to be picked up. A new skylight that was installed has a large scratch on it.Another big complaint is that it was never communicated to me that they had changed the type of skylight before installing.What is will say positively is that I felt like my contractor fought as hard as he could with my insurance company. We live north of Grand Rapids and had trouble finding a reputable roofer to come to our property. Mango was recommended to us by my sister, so we gave them a call. Orlando came, measured, talked with me about product and options, possible repairs they might find that would need to be addressed, and when we would like to have the job done. After we got our most reasonable quote, we hired them. We had a total tear off of our house and two out buildings. It was a big job, 62 squares! The crew got it done in two days! There were some bad sheets of plywood that needed replaced, but the job went smoothly and it looks fantastic. Sophia came and made a video that is very professional and so cool! We gave them permission to use the video on their website. Orlando uses all CertainTeed products and the crew installs them properly so as to guarantee the warranty. Orlando came back after the job for a final inspection with me up on the roofs. The only issue was that some of the ridge shingles over the top of the ridge vent were facing the wrong way. His foreman explained why he faced them that way, but Orlando asked if I felt more comfortable having them switched around. I said yes, and Orlando and his foreman switched them around that very same day, at the end of the day, in a light rain! They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. After interviewing some other roofers, it was refreshing to hire a company that is run professionally by a very nice young Man. Thank you Orlando! Heidi Seijas: Professional company. Delivered as promised for our roof project. Communicated delivery of materials and was on time each day. Clean up afterwards was great. We have a lot of plants and they took great care to make sure there wasn’t much damage and also made sure our neighbors didn’t have any debris left in their yard. The roofers were respectful and worked efficiently and did not take any unnecessary breaks. I was amazed at how hard the crew was working 12hours each day to get everything done in 2 days!
