After completely filling the dumpster they claimed that we "switched" the walls on them and they wouldn't take it (which we absolutely did not do)! So how do they handle the situation? They dump everything on our parking lot and say have a nice day! STAY AWAY FROM WOLVERINE SCRAP!
Jon B: I became a new customer in 2014 but I am going to go down the road to Padnos. Originally they had a great value for scrap. However, this last visit, the price was much lower than the competition for non ferrous scrap. They also are very bad at math. My weight was a few pounds different the first time around. This time it was off by a bunch. They will cheat you some pounds hoping you won't notice. If you decide you are going to be working with them anyway, make sure that you confirm the reading at the scale and get the price before they pour it into their bins and then hand you a small check.

Peter Hoezee: I have been to other metal recyclers in the past, but, since coming here, I only ever come back to the Padnos location on Turner. They get you weighed in and weighed out quickly; that matters when you've got a busy day! The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They will take refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners, which a lot of other metal recyclers just won't take. They also keep things moving and take care of the scrap; I've been other places where they let scrap really pile up, making it difficult to unload what you've brought. Payout is quick and easy. There is plenty of room to maneuver if you have a large truck or trailer. Honestly, this is my preferred spot to bring metal for recycling.

This time I got a bunch of paperwork and advice on how to make more money by sorting my metal better.A couple years ago I had my general scrap + scrap in the little building. I had gotten way more than expected when cashed out so I didn't think anything of it. but a few days later I had gotten a letter and check in the mail saying, hey sorry we forgot to add your scrap from the little building heres a check for that. Made me feel really good and happy.I tell all my friends to come to this location.only thing I dont like is im not that great with a trailer yet and my truck does not exactly turn that great. so getting back on the scales some times a bit of a challenge. but I've always made it back on

H H: Second Experience: Called GLR to scrap an SUV, they put me through with Cars For Cash like they normally do. Gave them all of my information and they said a dispatcher would get a hold of me. This first call was at 9am. I called again around 2pm since I hadn't received a call or text. They put me through FOUR different people, and still no answer. I was told someone would reach out to me. So I waited, no call. 5pm. Guy on the phone doesn't even know what to do, but he says he'll call and text the person responsible and get back with me quickly. 5:30pm, I call them again. Once again he doesn't know what to do other than reassure me that someone will get a hold of me.This whole thing was extremely unprofessional and a waste of my time. Ended up having a local guy scrap my car, and he even gave me a slightly better rate. My first experience with GLR and Cars for Cash went well, but I can't recommend them after what happened to me the second time. I really needed to have this vehicle scrapped asap before I took a small trip outta town, and they did not pull through for me. It's now the next day as a write this review and they still have not texted or called. Thumbs down 👎 I do not recommend. If you do call them, make sure to have a backup plan.

Zac Dvorak: The first time I scheduled a pickup of my vehicle, I got a call 15 minutes after the allotted time saying the driver would not be there, rescheduled for the next day. Second time no call now show. Just got off the phone for the third time waiting at the scheduled time and was told the truck has not left yet. If you can avoid, do so. Poor service, unorganized, and unhelpful.
