Pink Energy Grand Rapids: what do users think?
tammy worthington: RUN find another company. This place is the worst
Christopher Tucker: Amazing company. Very fast and friendly. Our sales rep, Heather, was, and all is, there to answer questions.
Sammy Brooks: Great crew, very professional and polite. They cleaned up after themselves and did a great job
Larry Mercer: Our Pink Energy solar panels were installed in a timely and professional manner. All my questions were addressed and the work of the whole team was outstanding.
Candi Sarver: Great bunch of guys. Did a great job!! Very clear on what they were doing, very nice and polite. Now ready to save some money
jon kaminski: Great crew, very courteous and took great pride in their work. Everything was carefully explained as they went through their phases of work and I was very pleased with their craftsmanship. I highly recommend them, the whole process was as smooth as could be from start to finish.
Krystal Joe: PinkEnergy was great! The staff and employees were very nice and easy to work with. Can’t say the same of our HOA, however they helped us with everything we needed to get the HOA on board!
Tim Mesch: The installation crew did a great job hard working young men. Had it all done in two days and that was with them getting poured on with rain. Thank you guy for a good experience of your job
Erin Shelly: We had an excellent experience with Pink Energy Grand Rapids. The process was expertly conducted and almost painless, we were kept updated and in the loop; from the sales staff to the installers all servicepeople were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable; beginning to end it all took less time than anticipated and installation itself was expedient and required almost no home alterations. Our system is currently brand new, but so far highly recommends this company for your solar power needs!!
J L L: Told them several times we were not interested after reading their reviews and yet I have reviewed 9 calls in one day trying to sell to us. Nope this is definitely a company I will NEVER do business with.
Rahi Soltani: Frankly, when they made the contract they told about 3-4 months everything will be done! But we started our contract in Jan.2022 and now we are in August and still waiting. They received their money from the bank and we began to pay 2 months ago and they don't care! Absolutely not recommended!
Doresha C: Good energy
Miranda Rosenberry: This is the best company I have worked with! 10/10.
Chad&Lindsey Foster: DON'T DO IT! THEY WILL LIE UNTIL YOU BUY AND NEVER EVER DELIVER WHAT THEY PROMISED. MY ELECTRIC BILL IS 3x WHAT IT WAS BEFORE AND I WILL BE PAYING UNTIL MY MORTAGE IS PAID OFF IN 20 YEARS
Aaron Smit: *UPDATEDThe issues previously mentioned have continued. Every call in takes more than 15 minutes on hold and then 3 transfers before you get to someone who can help. Nice people. Any repairs are always 4+ weeks out. Repair lasts 6-9 months.Equipment is great when it’s working, but any ROI is crushed by these delays.Previous Review:I have had my system installed since December 2020. My bills have consistently been lower than anticipated. There have been two technical issues and POWERHOME came out and addressed them quickly. They truly back up their product. Great, friendly service team!
Nicholas Hayhoe: The install went fine. I’ve had 2 technical issues and have been completely unable to get tech support. I have spent hours on hold and am never connected to tech support. Pink energy is clearly out over their skis. Selling and installing faster than the company can support, so customers are left holding the bag, with a non-functioning system. Initially, they had a field support guy who was super helpful, but they fired him when they changed to Pink Energy. DO NOT USE PINK ENERGY FOR YOUR SOLAR INSTALLATION. The Generac system is good, but buggy, and you can’t perform most basic diagnostic and troubleshooting without Generac or your “dealer” getting involved.
Carole Estes: This company has damaged many families and homes in Michigan. The sales people LIE about your projected energy savings. The installers put equipment in the wrong place voiding the warranty. Read your loan papers very carefully and take your contract to a lawyer. Or better yet. Just say NO.
Ryan Bailey: Sketchy with a capital K. Definitely not a positive experience and would not recommend.Lots of loaded questions when I initially inquired before they would set up an “information gathering meeting.”Showed up 30 minutes late for the appointment time they set.Standing in my driveway I reviewed the meeting outline with their agent. He was expecting to get an hour of my time running through “basic” details.Said quote process AFTER with our initial information gathering meeting would be up to a two hour time commitment on my end with their account representative that “knows” what they are doing. (Apparently the agent they sent doesn’t.)I have a newer house built by the second biggest builder in the area. Literally not one tree in the yard.Acted like this was their first time ever installing a solar panel.I have been in sales a long time. I can get you to a 95-98% overall price on anything we do in 15 minutes. Two other solar guys already did and quoted me like this.Pink Energy made it clear they wouldn’t do this. Meaning they want to finance you at a massive rate forever or sell you snake oil.Thanks. I’ll pass.
Mr. Henry: I would give a better rating if my solar wouldn't keep breaking every month. Works great when it's operational. Customer service won't answer the phone though. Waited on hold for almost 2 hours just to get called back 10 minutes befor close. I need my system fixed
Seth Kelley: Great Company to work for!
Rick R: Pink Energy, formerly Power Homes Solar is dishonest and fraudulent. Do not work with these scammers. There are plenty of reliable companies. This is not one of them.Salesman said they would power my home like a generator if power goes out. It only powers a few things and even that does not last more than 6-8 hours.Said they would save our electric bill. Our bill went up because of their shoddy work. Many many claims they lied about to get us to sign. Google them, you will find the same stories. We are still waiting for them to give us 3 more batteries like they told us they would and to get panels that will produce the amount of energy they guaranteed prior to signing.

Tiger Solar: what do users think?
Clayton Eves: I'm happy with everything Tiger Solar did for my project, Chad went far above and beyond when dealing with complications from my township. He worked with me for a year while we were trying to get the permit approved. During that time he provided constant updates and even attended township hall meetings to help secure approval from them. If thats not 5 star service I don't know what is.
Joseph Young: Extremely happy with the Tiger Solar team. From the sales process to the installation, everyone was friendly and professional. We quoted 3 companies and we are glad we chose Tiger Solar. Installed a 5.4 kW system with 12 panels.
John Weiss: Working with Tiger Solar was a great experience. The gang, with Vicente Cuevas in the lead, was a pleasure to work with. From the beginning of the project to the finalization of it they all were very helpful, courteous and willing to answer any question that we had. A half year after the installation of the system and we haven't had a problem with the system. Thanks for the great work, smiles and helpfulness. As an extra now that we are getting more SUNSHINE my wife and I are liking our new electrical bills, about a 1/4 of what they had been.
Steve Wagner: Installation and design of the system was very professional. All equipment components of the system were high quality.
Katharine Taylor: We selected Tiger Solar to install our roof system after getting quotes from several companies. Tiger stood out for excellent, responsive, fast communication as well as fair price for high quality components. They did a fantastic job handling all the interconnection logistics and everyone at the company was friendly and helpful. We’re happy with our system.
Brandon Smith: I want to start by saying that I deliberately waited to write a review so that I could provide honest feedback about the performance of our system post-installation. I’m writing this review in November 2022, our system was switched on in June 2022, but my solar energy journey began end of December 2021.With the state approving multiple rate hikes at DTE and Consumers, I was looking for a way to hedge against future increases. After a bit of research I decided to put together a RFQ package and see what the cost/benefit would be. I ended up getting quotes from six different companies, including Tiger Solar (Altenergy at the time). Vicente from Tiger was hands down the most professional to work with during the quote process and after a couple weeks we were able to build a system size (12.54 kW) superior to anyone else, with a very competitive price per kW. I also appreciated the amount of detail provided in his quote response; their software is state of the art. After deciding to go with Tiger Solar, Vicente managed the project very well with good communication along the way. Despite some delays due to weather and staffing issues (partially offset by Vicente and Chad personally putting a day’s work into my house), the installation was pretty smooth. There was an issue post installation with the consumption monitors not working, but their team worked on it daily until resolved. That makes me feel good about the support I can expect in the future if it is ever needed. The system has now been running for over 5 months and I can say that I’m completely satisfied. The Enphase software has been a delight to use and has really helped us to change our energy consumption behaviors to maximize the benefit of our solar system (make sure and add the consumption monitors in your system)! But the numbers speak for themselves. Prior to installing our solar system our electric bill was hovering around $200-250/month ($358.92 one month before realizing how much our new heated floor was consuming…LOL). The last 4 months our bill has been $33.10, $29.13, $31.91, and $29.66!Definitely give Tiger Solar a call if you are considering adding solar to your home or business, and ask for Vicente.
Frederick Kwant: Chad was very responsive to my many questions.
Tom Norton: We converted the entire television facility to solar courtesy of Chad Becker and his team at Tiger. It was a big job and they were there with us every step of the way. The follow up has been amazing. We're two years into it and not only have seen a massive reduction in our electric costs (some months as much as 85%), but when lightening struck the building Chad called to say they had noticed something in the systems output that they just wanted to double check. It seems everything is fine, but I was impressed by the dedication. Two years on and we haven't been forgotten. Good work Chad and Team!
Devin Schnepp: Best contracted job I've had done. Crew was professional, friendly, and always willing to explain what they were working on whenever I poked my head out of the house. As an avid DIYer, it was actually really nice to not have to worry about anything for a change. From permitting, interacting with the utility company, inspections, connecting me with financing, the whole process was about as smooth and stress-free as I could imagine it being.
Mike Bronson: First Chad the sale person was very good. Explained everything, showed picture of house with what panels would look like. Explained everything that would happen and came back with quote good for 30 days to give us time. The 4 man installing crew was very personable and professional. Kyle explained everything they were going to do and answered all my questions. All installation was done in 1 1/2 days. Looks good. Just waiting for electrical inspection.
Greg Meyer: I did extensive research on adding solar panels to our home and was ready to move forward, Vicente upon looking at the neighbors trees, indicated I wouldn't get the return I'd want from solar. While he may have lost a sale today, when those trees are gone I'm calling him to do the job. He was responsive, informative and in the end, ethical and honest. Very hard to top that in a company.
John Burke: I am so happy I found Tiger Solar! Chad in Grand Rapids was so great to work with!
Mike Sandmair: Guys did a GREAT JOB!! All were polite, respectful and informative as to what was going on, how far they had proceeded. HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHAD AND THE GUYS AT TIGER SOLAR.
Gary De Kock: My new solar system was installed ahead of schedule and is working reliably. Tiger Solar has provided excellent service and I do not hesitate to recommend them to friends.
Sarah King: Tiger Solar did amazing work! They were prompt, polite and professional. We are loving our solar investment!
Mick McCormic: Tiger Solar has a professional team, top notch customer service and great products. 5 star rating for exceeding my expectations from start to finish.
Mike Davis: We had a great experience with the Chad and the team from Tiger Solar. My wife and I looked into multiple installers but the these guys were by far the most responsive and enthusiastic in addition to also providing a good quote without any pressure. They answered all the questions that we had and even ones from family and assorted neighbors who were curious about the process. Our installation occurred ahead of schedule and I ended up paying the exact quote that I was given with no surprises.I wanted to wait to give my review until after I got my first bill for a full month of solar. Our bill went from $212 in the month of April to $35 in May so we're very happy with the initial return on investment for our panels.
Corene Caston: We are extremely happy with our solar panels and with Tiger Solar. The entire process was seamless from start to finish. As part of an HOA, we needed approval before committing to construction. Chad met with our HOA and skillfully outlined the project scope and aesthetics. The board was very impressed with his knowledge and expertise.Communication was always excellent and timely. Chad’s team was friendly and knowledgeable.Five star company and service.
Kyle Niewiada: Outstanding. We began looking for a solar installer last year. We received quotes from 5 total installers. Most of them "called it in" and used outdated satellite imaging to form a proposal.Tiger Solar (known as AltEnergy at the time) was the only group who came out to do an on-site inspection to make sure their proposal was as accurate as possible. This made a large impact as our tree coverage had recently changed.I had some questions and ideas about the array orientation. Chad was able to provide a concrete answer with data to backup the decision after visiting our house. From all the proposals we received, Tiger Solar (formerly AltEnergy) stood above the rest with the most reasonable pricing, quality panels, and a well designed array avoiding odd gaps on our roof. They were willing to work with us even when we had to wait a few months due to other projects going on.Maybe we had the perfect storm of good timing, an easy roof, and no HOA to deal with. Either way, I was surprised how they were able to provide competitive pricing and the perfect sized array for our needs. Seriously, no one else came close. They never pressured us and volunteered to wear masks when they noticed us wearing them.Chad and the installers (Kyle & Chris) are all very knowledgeable. The communication is excellent, the installers stay safe, and they're willing to work with any weather obstacles that come their way. The team went above and beyond to ensure our panels were installed before another weather event forced them to delay (for the safety of the installers).Communication is top-notch. I'm always surprised how quickly my questions were answered. They were able to work through the current supply chain challenges with minimal impact. If you're looking for a solar installer in the area, do not skip getting a quote from these folks. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
Vladimir Edelman: This is a great company to work with. From the moment of contact to the point of work completion the whole process was very organized and smooth. I'm very happy with the quality of work.
Scott Hunsinger: Chad and the entire team are amazing at what they do. They are great communicators, great installers, and great at keeping costs down as much as possible. But most importantly, the quality of the equipment is fantastic and they do the job right the first time. Can’t recommend this company highly enough!
