Nick Terpstra: I have going to guitar center for as long as this location has been here. As of late I have had to frequent the store to rent audio equipment for dj gigs where sound equipment is not provided. Since the first time I’ve had to do this I have had nothing but a great experience. Jake is almost always the guy that sets me up and takes care of the rental and what I need and is incredibly knowledgeable (this is not always the case in music/audio stores). He always shoots it straight and is incredibly kind. I don’t have an issue often, but when I do Jake is the first to help me get it sorted out. As long as Jake is working this location, I will continue to be a loyal customer!Additionally, a recent update. Bruce and Jeff are top talent team members that have also helped me on quite a few occasions. Most recently Bruce was able to help answer questions on a new model of gear and helped me feel very confident and comfortable in my upgrade. As long as these two continue to be members of this location, I will keep coming back!

Jimbo Huizinga: I called to ask some questions about a Les Paul the individual that I spoke with was rude and unhelpful. I guess sweetwater is going to get my money. After seeing something is going to be done about my experience then I’m definitely shopping locally. I didn’t let one bad experience stop me from buying a guitar. Jeff was very helpful and I’m sure I’ll buy another one from him.

Callie Paige: Bought a nice Yamaha acoustic guitar here. They had lots of guitars to choose from, with decent price ranges. The staff was not very helpful though, we had to walk around the store to find someone to help us, and the help we got was not very friendly or even helpful. One guy was ok.. he was nice and informative on the different styles & brands for guitars I was interested in, but he was the only one... Overall I was thankful to purchase a nice guitar, case, tuner, and capo, but was not impressed with the staff, sorry...

Diana Silva: I have no idea what happened to this place. I do not play anything but my kids do. I had great experiences when I’ve purchased previous musical instruments for my kids. I’ve bought harmonicas, guitars, and supplies. The other day, we spent over an hour in the store. We took videos. Not one staff person approached us. I wanted, in the end, to purchase a drum set, stool, strings, guitar, and two amplifiers. When I walked in, I asked if they purchased equipment-which I knew they did. I just wanted to begin a conversation. The person said, “Yes.” He turned his back on me simultaneously. He continued to restock small items at the entrance. All I saw after that was his backside. I told my adult children about how good customer service used to be in my day. This service was so bad that I Googled sites and purchased my products online. Before I left, I brought up a pack of strings, which we needed immediately and I purchased them. I think they ran about $10? I made sure to ask them if they worked on commission. I told them what I planned on purchasing…just under three grand. If I had one thing to share is that every customer doesn’t look like a wealthy Caucasian. Some people are like us. Learn what your base looks like. Some musicians are a little straggly looking but carry a wad and are looking for at the very least, a “How do you do?” (EDIT: I have no idea how to post a video or at least a picture to share but I noticed a timeline pattern after I read the other reviews. So sad. I think I’ve posted maybe five reviews because I enjoy propping up exceptional service. This service USED to be exceptional). BTW, they missed out on an exceptional Juno 106.

A long electric cord also sold at Harbor Freight it's just the environmental friendly thing to do. At 24 dollars it's the best steal in town 😆 . Only one left in stock so if Plainfield is your store stop reading and start driving. You could possibly check other stores 2 in Wyoming Mi. I was surprised at the efficiency/power of this weed whacker. It's lighter weight , easier to use for older people. I rigged it up with an old belt . I used as a harness of sorts. So I made even easier and lighter. Gotta roll , Now where was I ? Oh looking for the last Morel Mushrooms or trimming grass. 😆

Andrew Boekestein: Rental department needs help. Always a long hold when I call just to find out if something is available. On my 13th minute of being on hold right now. (Try an online booking system.). Seems to be short staffed. Witnessed the manager lose his cool on two different occasions when something went wrong with a customer. Always a stressful experience. The rest of the store is great as are the staff. Rental just needs an overhaul to accommodate the kind of volume they deal with.

Looked around in the outdoor equipment area for probably 10 minutes until I found a lady (Sue?) to ask for help. She told me she would find someone to help me who knew a little more about snowblowers. Waited around for another 20 min. until she came back and told me there was no one in who had the expertise necessary to help me and unapologetically told me I’d need to come back a different time. Was hoping to support a local business but ended up going down the street to the big box store. Waste of time.

Tom MaryJo: If I could, I would rate this a 0 star experience. Rented a hammer drill that was defective, brought it back to Bruce (manager) and he charged me for something that didn't work. He was really a jerk and not professional at any means. This is going to be my last visit to this Cascade Ace for a LONG time. Would NOT recommend to anyone that is looking for a good quality working machine to rent.

John Hockenberry: Absolutely fantastic. Very exotic mechanical problem with stripped thread bolts in Titanium tubing. Jeff took on the problem with unrelenting determination. More senior staffers helped us design a solution. In the end a spectacular outcome. Jeff was legendary. Gus was very entertaining. The first employee we found was a complete wizard. He got us started and Jeff got us to the finish line. More than an hour of nonstop effort that would have cost $125 bucks at a machine shop. We got out of there for $29.

And the staff is usually very kind and helpful, and always respectful.Edit Feb/5/2023: They changed everything, layout, location of stuff, very annoying!But the staff is still as willing to help as always, especially certain silver-haired ladies that work there. Actually, they get a 10/10, together with Larry, a young man who did his best to help me find some plumbing accessories.So, thanks to them, I'm upgrading their score from 4 to 5 stars.
