Alli B: To even set up an appointment was difficult. I was given a timeframe and once it was a week past the max on that timeframe... I called to be treated very poorly and talked at. My entire experience made it seem that I was a nuisance and my business wasn't actually needed or wanted. We still had the survey done, because I wasn't given the opportunity to say I no longer wanted the service or be able to voice my concern (hence the comment of being talked at by one of the gentleman who works here). It took THREE MONTHS to get an invoice. Let's see if we even get our paper work for our survey after this and how long that will be.
Ryan Gardner: I made an appointment in October of 2018 which they came out for. Now it’s February 2019 and I’m just now seeing the bill and still haven’t seen the survey. When I call to get some clarity on when I’ll actually see the paper survey and to see if there is any type of discount for the long wait and since I still haven’t actually received the survey he instantly got defensive and said that’s up to me if I want to not pay him and his crew for the work they did and saying the stakes in the ground should be good enough (I requested stakes and the paper survey and never said I wouldn’t pay him and his crew). This was probably the most unprofessional phone call I’ve ever had and I would not recommend working with them.

Rob Young: Being in the real estate industry, I routinely order residential boundary surveys. MVK is my go to company for this, both due to their great service as well as their competitive pricing. Residential survey quotes can vary substantially from company to company, but MVK is consistently a great price (get a couple of quotes and see for yourself). They’re very easy to reach during business hours and they’re extremely helpful anytime I have additional questions. I’ve had a few instances in which they have not received an email from me, so now I simply request a confirmation of receipt whenever I place an order, which they gladly do. I take recommendations very seriously, and I only endorse persons and businesses who have consistently done a great job for me and my clients. Recommending Dale Van Kooten and MVK is an absolute no brainer.
Michael Sink: I made 3 appointments and they missed them all, and were glib about the whole thing. This business is neither timely or competent.

We were a little iffy about it though because they didn't have any reviews or a website. After calling and talking with the owner for some time about the hesitation we had, and hearing that the reason they don't have a website is that they're just a little "old school" there, we decided to go with them. We're glad we did! We saved money, got a survey done quickly, and received a detailed report. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

After they came and resurveyed they refused to refund my money and just wouldn't email back 2 months later still no communication. Terrible customer service.

Diane Shepley: We had an ef4 tornado hit us march 5 2022 in Iowa. Insurance sent Nederveld out of Missouri to look at our house and metal building. This person calling himself a forensic engineer apparently does not understand the nature of a tornado. We have damage on all sides of our house and metal building. He claims in his infinite wisdom that tornado came out of S.W. and therefore all the other damage was not from tornado. Very pompous and ignorant.
Kent Sinclair: I ordered a property survey in order to cover all bases before installing a fence. Initial lead time was quoted at two weeks, to my surprise they completed the survey in only one week. The price was right in the middle of three quotes and I could not be happier with the attention to detail and service.
Shaun Leusby: They were very rude and short with me. The "expert" that came out made many mistakes. He came to inspect my floor and clearly didn't know much about this type of flooring. I would expect a professional to come out to be respectful and not belittle me.
David Clark: Very dependable professionals. If there is an issue with a service the staff will discuss options to proceed. They designed a subdivision for me, and I was thoroughly impressed with their efforts in the Township Meetings, and the professionalism of how we handled each obstacle in the process of the site condominium, and keeping harmony in the community. I recommend considering their services for your Surveying or Engineering needs.
Andy Olsen: A very heavy hail storm came through my neighborhood in Rockford this year. I filed a claim with my insurance company and they sent an "engineer" from Nederveld to meet with our contractor.Nederveld said there was no storm damage to our home. We hired our own engineer who wrote a report disagreeing with Nederveld.Our insurance company ended up paying the claim. I hope these guys are not doing this to everyone out there.

Trevor Wood: Working with the person behind the emails was super great and she answered all questions I had with setting up the appointment. Once the date came around to get survey done, Kevin and his helper were very professional and knowledgeable about determining the property lines and helped to uncover a little bit more property than we thought we had with our neighbors to the north. Overall it was worth the money to have this service done before getting our underground sprinkling done. Highly recommend, other places were quoting two to three times as much for the service we were provided.

Jon Behrends: DO NOT USE ROOSIEN UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE HOSED AND SUED!!Contacted Roosien to survey 1 side of my property and put a stake every 100'. They had surveyed it within the last 6 months for the seller. After setting the survey up via email for May 6th 2020, and receiving the survey drawing via email 1 week later, I waited and waited for an invoice. Finally, 7 months later on 12/14/2020 I received an invoice via email. A miscommunication with my wife left the invoice unpaid, but we never received any notification until June of 2021, when I was being notified I was being sued. Roosien had my email, and my phone number, but made only 1 attempt to send an invoice or attempt to collect unpaid balance. Furthermore, I was told it would be about $450 to survey the line, but the invoice was for over $725. Maybe it wouldn't have been so much if the surveyors didn't stand around and talk, or keep running hundreds of yards back to their trucks because their batteries were dead, or they forgot equipment, etc. How hard is it to Mark a 1,100' property line that they had previously marked the corners within the past 6 months. They really needed to locate the corners that still had their post/cap setting in the ground? Now because this company's irresponsibility of contacting me about an invoice, they want over $900.Well Roosien, you can K.M.A. I'll see ya in court.
you tuber: Critical:ProfessionalismAfter helping their workers locate orginal property corners and markers . Their worker decided to make his own estimates saying how he did not locate 2 of the 3 property corners so he installed new markers. They are surely incorrect now I will have to hire professionals to dispute his its around their claim.

Tim Maddox: I reached out to this company to survey a property and mark a proposed outbuilding which was close to the property setback. Brent took my call and indicated they were 4-6 weeks out. Unfortunately that didn’t work for our schedule so our conversation ended there and we had the surveying completed by a separate company.After a few months I received an invoice for staking the 4 property corners (not what we actually inquired about in the first place).The invoice had been sent to a previous address we had a few years back. This led us to believe that our billing info was lifted off of the internet.After receiving the invoice I emailed the company and left a voicemail regarding the matter without a return call or email. I gave it a week and called again and was able to talk to the receptionist, she connected me with Vince and indicated he would look into it and get back with me. Again no return phone call. I continue to receive invoices for the work that neither of us requested. Happy to update the review if I hear from them.
