Complimentary everything.This used to be Tropi Tan, but now it is owned and run by a whole new crew under the Solana name. It has completely took a 180!! At tropitan I had so many problems that eventually I switched to Midnite Sun and cruise. But I quickly realized they were horrible too. Once I had a package there and still spent at least $30 every time I walked through their doors, I tried to find something else. I was cautiously surprised to see solana on the tropitan doors. But omg y’all, this has been a lifesaver for me, on everything I love. Stacy, the manager, is super helpful and took the time to explain everything to me as far as the incredibly priced packages and deals (yearly is incredible.. no one even comes close). I left Midnite Sun and Cruise to come to this location and I have been completely 100% above satisfied every time I go in. Honestly, thanks to all the Solana employees especially Stacy for always being friendly, staying open late and keeping the prices low. tracy foltz: I’ve never posted a negative review in my life… unfortunately, this place warrants a bad review. Went over a month ago for a spray tan… machine wasn’t working properly… tried to use it anyway-(based on the recommendation of the staff person that night: “there might be enough in the machine to work”…no color whatsoever the next day. No problem… these things happen. Went again last night. After four attempts, the girl at the counter still could not get the spray tan machine to work. This is after me taking off my clothes and putting them back on four times. The girl at the counter seemed confused and never once apologized for the inconvenience. I had bought a package: $120 back in April (or maybe March)- I still have not gotten a single spray tan after that initial purchase. SO, I told her that I found another place to go get the service done, and I’d like my $120 back. She tells me she doesn’t know how to process my request for a refund (big surprise).. and her manager would call me. That still hasn’t happened. Just save yourself a lot of trouble and avoid this place.

katrina fox: Apparently, Google won't let you give a second review to a business, so I just edited one the I has posted previously with positive feedback for Maddie. ** I scheduled an appointment 4/19 for services 5/4. I requested a specific stylist, one I have been going to for about 1 1/2 years. I get to my appointment yesterday, and the girl at the desk says, ok, you are all set with(this poor girl did not do anything wrong, so I'm not mentioning her name) I said, um, I'm supposed to have an appointment with Maddie. She proceeded to tell me that Maddie did not work there anymore. I was very surprised and not very happy, and said as much. I got a response that , "Oh, I don't know why no one let you know. If you aren't happy after, just let us know and we can fix it. " I was also assured she was very experienced, but judging by the length of appointment time listed on the website, she is actually not as experienced as the other stylists. There is no way that management did not know that they took me, and who knows how many other customers off of Maddie's schedule and stuck us with some random person. At the very least a courtesy call, or text or email should have been sent. I was very uncomfortable having someone I had never met, and did not know anything about doing a lash lift and tint. I mean, you are right there by my eyeball, with chemicals. very unhappy with the level of unprofessionalism on the part of management.Service:Lash lift

David Lynch: Closed old location months ago because of "electrical problems" moved to new location but have not opened and it does not appear that the new location is going well. I wouldn't care but I have an account with minutes on it. My guess is they never reopen. What a dump.

But, the fact the hours on door say 8am-9pm and for the 3rd or 4th time Im pulling up to the salon being closed. Very dissatisfied right about now. Other then this ongoing problem it would have been 5 stars.

Alicia Hurless: Booked an appointment and my daughter was 5mins late because of an accident, entered the building 8mins late and they immediately charged me a fee of $15 and my daughter wasn’t even greeted. She stood in the lobby for 10mins and I called to talk to them, they were very rude and just said she was late we can’t do it. Francesca Parnham: I have been here twice for spray tans for special occasions and both times have been great - friendly staff, light tans, and reasonably priced. They have a new customer deal which I appreciated, and then the price increases a bit. I recently was charged as a no-show when I had to cancel due to weather on my commute, and thought it would have been more accommodating to offer to reschedule because I’m a newer customer and haven’t cancelled before.

Kayden Waldroup: Kaylyn did an amazing job helping me pick a package! I have a major skin condition and she even took her time to study it and gain information on the condition to pick the best package for me. After all that extra and I mean extra work she helped me pick and lotion and a bronzer to help maximize my tanning experience, she is a lovely employee. After this experience I will definitely continue coming and renew my package yearly hopefully the tan is as good as the customer service

Alexis White: I had a great experience here until my roommate and I tried to cancel our memberships. We signed, after TRIPLE checking, a three month long commitment. We were told by Danielle, twice on the phone and once in person that we were only committed to three months, so if we wanted to cancel we could after those three months were up. I was astonished to find out on Thursday that we had apparently signed a 12-month long agreement. The worst part is, is that we never once received a copy of the agreement we signed or saw it in person. We would have NEVER signed a 12 month agreement due to the fact that we knew we would only be in the area until May. We are moving home due to COVID, so we called to cancel but were told our only option was to buy it out or ride out the membership. Becky, the manager, hasn't been much help either. This is unfortunate because like I mentioned, we had a positive experience up until this past week. I would give zero stars if I could because this is an obvious situation where we were taken advantage of. Basically, beware if purchasing a membership with Midnight Sun... and ask for a copy of the agreement you are signing.EDIT: after further investigation, it is obvious this isn't the first time people have been scammed. Kyla Joy: Great place to go for a good tan, great service, and clean, adequate amenities. The women who work here are courteous and professional. They are not pushy or overbearing like people at other tanning salons might be. They have beds as well as stand-up Hex (which I prefer). I believe they also have spray tan packages, but I’ve never used that service.TIP— they have a monthly unlimited package which is a great deal before you go on a trip somewhere sunny & warm in the winter/spring!

Robin Graves: I would have given it a 4 or 5, but on my last day of tanning in the ultrabronze bed I noticed my legs were several shades lighter then the rest of my body.... So I switched it up, no wonder, there were 5 bulbs burned out down near my legs ...I didn't even swear not was I red when I got out. I told the manager or worker and she said, "I will check into it, had them checked last week." Never offered to look and make it right or anything. I won't be returning and I caution you. You pay more for the expensive bed because it's healthier... If there is such a thing.... Thankfully I'm going on vacation and I will even it out. Just wanted others to beware!

Jenna Slye: Wasn't the most hip or newest place in GR, but the service I got today was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I have read reviews about other places in town where people said the clerks were rude, overbearing or pushy with selling products or packages. Electric Beach was none of those things today. I hate being "sold" to. I mean...we go to these places to get a little color and pamper ourselves a bit, right? We know if we want a pricey package or not. And the ladies at Electric Beach respected that today. This place could use a little TLC as far as the building, but it was spotlessly clean and they had a wide array of beds and packages to choose from. I will be back!
Emily Reynolds: The lack of customer service skills that the manager here has is absolutely appalling. She has never been friendly every single time I’ve been in this building. I would highly recommend not coming into this place. It is not even worth it. Spend your money somewhere else where they appreciate your business and can treat you with kindness.

Samantha Blowers: Outdated but if that's what keeps the value great then I don't care! I have had exceptional service by numerous employees. There's a blonde and a red head at the 28th street location that are always awesome. Then the blonde curly haired woman at the 54th street location is amazing! Always remembers me and is super friendly! Others seem a little less interested which can be off putting compared to the service by the previously mentioned women, but overall never a bad experience.

Whenever I'min town I stop in and visit my Ol' pal..Ms. Matrix (the bed) hahaa.. always time for a quick tan and go to my 'Happy Place' ..*** FYI *** bulbs are never burnt out and rooms are always clean! The staff are awsome!!

Hannah DeClark: I keep putting this off but decided to take a minute and give some feedback.What I like:- close to home- basic services- membership not required and no hidden feesWhat I’ve found discouraging:- customer service needs refining.- Closing hours are inconsistent.- “Closing” = open for service until posted closing time? Nope. “Closing” = they want to turn out the lights and walk out the door at posted closing time. I’ve been turned away when I’ve come in to tan and it’s deemed too close to closing.- Smaller complaints; missing wall hooks to hang garments and when I ask for an extra wash cloth (as that is the size towel provided) I’m routinely reminded that they do the laundry.
