Max G: Came here awhile ago thinking about a custom bicep tattoo that I might eventually want to build into a sleeve. The guy drew it up on my arm said do you like it? I'm sure if I finished it, I might have but Covid hit, so I was stuck with basically a pencil drawing greyline and I began to hate it.Laser removal is 10x more expensive and painful. This place is horrible and was an awful experience for a first tattoo. 1) the fact that I wasn't given a rendering or a drawing and was put on the spot to decide whether I liked what was drawn on my arm with marker. Most tattoo shops don't do this and make sure you really have decided on your piece.This place is really not that good and definitely not worth the money.Services:Sleeve tattoos,Tattoos
Tate Cox: Went in to schedule an appointment and give the artist what I wanted to have done. Put down a $100 deposit and was told they'd be in touch. Weeks went by hearing nothing until the night before the appointment when the artist sends me something totally different than what I asked for. Told them I'm not getting that and no longer wanted to work with them and have since been ignored every time I try to get my deposit back. There are a dozen better tattoo shops in Grand Rapids, do not go here.Service:Tattoos

Gracie Keiser: I’ve had 3 previous tattoos here all with good experiences, but I was canceled on 30 minutes before my appointment by my artist and the date they rescheduled for me didn’t end up working out so I had to call to reschedule. I didn’t leave a message when no one answered my call and I called back again after my appointment time had passed leaving a message. The next day they called me back and told me that they had claimed my deposit and it was considered a no call no show because I didn’t leave a message. I was incredibly disappointed to here this because my artist and the employees there have all been great in the past. It felt like a slap in the face when my initial appointment was canceled last minute, which I was very understanding of, but when I needed to reschedule my calls were completely over looked.Service:Tattoos

Krista Noorman: Terrible communication. I emailed one of the artists with interest of them possibly being my artist for my ENTIRE leg sleeve. I asked a few questions, they didn’t answer any of them, but said we should meet and talk in person. So I asked if there was a good time for me to come in and he said I could come in today and leave my deposit. He was short, didn’t even tell me how much the deposit would be, he hadn’t designed anything, and he didn’t bother telling me when his next appointments were. Very disappointed.
Jeff Miner: I had several thousand dollars of tattoo work done from Cam, when I tried to get my free touch up I was told there was a $50 deposit to set an appointment! The money is not the issue, it's the fact that I was told several time touch ups were included. My tattoos are very light and in desperate need of a lot of touch up work! I explained I'd most likely need 3 hrs of touch up work and at that time I'd leave a deposit for the additional tattoos I intended to get! So now I will have to have another studio fix the work I've already paid for. Cam is a very good artist but he has a light hand! I expressed many time that I wanted my tattoos dark, he said if I wasn't happy he could darken them at the "free" touch up! It's worth mentioning I attempted to give him my credit card info over the phone and he told be I'd have to stop in to do that! OK if I have to drive to the other side of town to leave a deposit I'll been charging you for my gas and time. So when I get there you will owe $125.00

Zackary Slager: Yo this place is pretty legit. Only a $40 minimum, about half of all other tattoo shops in GR. That is great for someone like myself, who gets multiple smaller (some tiny) tattoos over the course of a few years. Cameron is super nice. I’ve heard fantastic things of Alex, another designer at this spot, but I have yet to have him tattoo me. Overall, I recommend this spot!

Onnilie Irvine: I had my work done by Ryan. He's definitely the go-to for mandalas. Very talented! My husband and daughter had tattoos done by Johnny and Reuben, which all look fantastic. The shop will recommend which artist you need to speak with based on your design. Wealthy Street Tattoo is the only place to go, as far as I'm concerned.

Logo Tho: It was alright, you could hear the employees complaining about customers while sitting in the waiting room a few feet away. The receptionist was a bit rude but it bothered my girlfriend more than it really bothered me. We heard our friends got a 2 for 30 deal on piercings but we were told you can't split the 2 for 30 deal between people which was like "oh well" but then the piercing dude gave me a love jab in the nose with the needle as he was getting his tools lined up to pierce my septum lol. Ryan M Ward: I brought my 5 year old to get her ears pierced. I was surprised that the price was $60, since I read on their website it was 2 for $30. But that's only Tuesdays, stated on a separate page.When they were ready for the piercings, my daughter changed her mind and they refused to refund. We were given a gift card instead. There should be an option to get your money back, especially with little kids.After some time, my daughter found the courage and we went back. Andrew did the piercing and he was excellent with her. He told her everything he was doing as he worked and was quick and kind.My daughter's experience was excellent. My experience was frustrating.

Since I went to a sketchy place the last time, I wanted to be sure I knew what I was getting into. I emailed their piercing team to see when I could get scheduled for my septum, and they called me the following day to set something up.The shop was immaculately clean, they have a massive jewelry selection, and George was absolutely great. He made sure to walk me through the entire process and made sure I was comfortable with everything. I met their apprentice as well, and she was very nice and she seemed excited to learn.I appreciated that George actually took the time to make sure my piercing was lined up correctly, and made sure that I was happy with the placement and the jewelry before everything got started. I couldn’t be happier with how my septum looks, and I’ve recommended this shop to a few of my friends who are looking to get other piercings. Thanks guys! I hope to see y’all again soon!

I live in Maryland and always book a session when I’m in town because I know that George will give me a piercing that I love and that looks amazing. He was even willing to squeeze me in for a separate jewelry issue (my own fault) on a fully booked day and took the time to show me how to fix the issue in the future. He takes his time when marking out the piercings to make sure the placement will look good, heal well, and is exactly what I envision. Heather Minor: I had dog paws done on my hand; very simple tattoo. Once healed it looks faded as though it was done with a stamp. I've tried multiple times to come in to fix it but no luck. I was extremely upset by most recent effort. I had an appointment but 5 min before I got a message saying she can't do it. Its a 45 min drive for me. Its been a couple days now and I still have not heard back from her. Won't have tat done by her again. Sorry.I will say everyone seemed really nice and the environment is beautiful!

If I had known any time sooner I would’ve been able to find another artist. I don’t think I would’ve been notified about my appointment cancellation either if I hadn’t repeatedly messaged and called. I’ve heard great things about some of the artists here but I was extremely disappointed by the woman who was supposed to tat me.

There may be a wait (y’all, there is a wait everywhere!), but this is not a bad thing! The artists need to be able to take care of themselves to create the best tattoos and give their clients the best experiences. It is a good sign when tattoo artists have strong boundaries.
