But this time around I was treated SO bad like never before, anytime, anywhere, in any country for that matter.It all started when a person named L.. opened the door and proceeded to ask us to identify ourselves.She told us that due to COVID-19 restrictions my daughter in law could not come in, to which we respectfully abode by.. She then led us to a large meeting room where we were asked to sit and left. Several minutes later she came back carrying the buyer/seller document and threw them on the table, while asking us to take our ID's out and whether or not we had brought pens along to sign with, to which we replied no. She left the room and came back with 2 pens and threw then on the table. From there her attitude got worse...In spite of this treatment we achieved the goal of signing the closing documentation. All while enduring a rude, overbearing, and dismissive agent that made us feel so bad we talked about leaving place more than once. Our closing took place yesterday, April 30, 2020 at 3 pm. and if you are interested in learning more about it please do not hesitate to reach me by phone. Thank you for your time.

Amanda McCord: We used them due to the seller recommending this company. From the get go it was a horrible experience, with the title company going against our wishes and having the property titled under our names and not under the business name, even though we had requested that. However, the seller had said personal names so that is what they put. When I called they did do a quite claim deed for us. However, we also received a check back saying that there had been overpayment at closing. I had called and tripled checked before we spent the funds. Now I find out that it was a mistake and we owe this money back to the bank. The whole experience has been horrible and would not recommend working with them, unless you want the headache to continue months after closing.

william ham: I've never walked into an office for a home closing and been shown such cold calice indifference for me being there. From the receptionist barely noticing I was there to the closing agent simple sliding paperwork to sign without any explanation or care I asked simple questions directing anything asked back to my realtor that wasn't present. We will never use this title company again. A man walked in after me and was offered drinks like soda and coffee and a comfy seat and an explanation of when the title agent wod be there. For me it was name, number and a simple ok.

Jim W: Definitely do not recommend. They handled my closing in May 2021....where should I start? FYI, Sun Title is also "Pathway Title" by name, which was also confusing.1. I never received even one email, text, or call from Sun Title to let me know they would be handling my closing or who my closing agent was (seller chose this company). I would at least expect a "Hello, I'm xxxxxx, your closing agent. Here is my contact info if you have any questions." Less than a week from closing, I finally tracked them down only to have the receptionist tell me our closing wasn't even on their calendar for the date we had listed given them.2. My mortgage agent told me she had multiple times where she never received responses to her emails to Sun Title. On closing day, I received yet another call from her asking ME if closing had been compete because Sun Title never let her know after all the paperwork was signed. They also failed to send her the closing documents that same day, although they were signed by noon. The underwriter needed to see them to approve disbursing the funds, but Sun Title just left the office without sending the documents to the mortgage agent.3. They overlooked the fact there was an HOA on the property. Yet again, I asked them why there was no payment data for the HOA dues (which were not already paid by the seller and was late). That would have been another delay of closing if I hadn't noticed the error.4. They never sent me a copy of my closing documents after we closed (it's been about 45 days and I had to call them to get a copy sent)5. I clearly wrote the address I wanted the deed sent to. I wasn't moving into the new house for 30 days, so I listed my parent's address in the closing documents to ensure the deed wouldn't get lost in the mail during my move. To no surprise, the deed never showed up at the address I clearly wrote in the documents. Instead, I got it at my new house address. Luckily we moved in a few days ago, but this yet again demonstrated their sloppy work.I'll give them 2 stars because they actually did close the sale, but they are clearly not up to par in their paperwork and attention to detail. I wouldn't recommend risking hundreds of thousands of dollars in a property sale to use Sun Title. I'm glad everything closed on time, but without a lot of intervention on my part, it wouldn't have and I could have lost out on more money having to pay the late HOA fees they never noticed.

The second notary did not pay attention to the instructions on what to do with my check for the funds owed to me and just had it sent to my house and when I got home from work the FedEx envelope was just laying on my front porch for everyone to see and anyone to steal. Do not recommend this group, this was at the Grandville location

Very unprofessional, with an aggressive dog inside of the office that they had apparently rescued and we were told it has a very unpredictable temperament. We had asked for permission ahead of time to bring our child with us to closing and were told that was fine. The dog was aggressive toward her and nobody was around to help us manage the dog when we first arrived. The actual closing went okay I guess, but the staff was not very professional and we will never use them again.

Julianna Katerberg: The staff interacted with at the agency were all very nice and professional. However, everything felt rushed and very last minute with this despite having everything set up for a few weeks beforehand. It felt like everything was being done at the last possible second and there were countless delays in getting rh closing figures to us. We had to assign a DPOA to sign for us because we were on vacation for our closing date. This has been communicated to every party involved and after dropping off the check the day before, I was told that everything was all set. The day of closing I get a call on vacation stating that the underwriter for our mortgage suddenly needed to see images of the check we received for our down payment gift. I had to spend almost 45 minutes on the phone sorting this out and the underwriter wanted to cancel the closing of the house. Thankfully, our realtor refused to do this and we were still able to close but our realtor told us that there should not have been any reason why the underwriter was still working on these things on the date of closing.

They scheduled us at the wrong location (which they blamed on my mortgage company despite the fact that I showed them the confirmation letter they had sent), then gave us the wrong agent, then handed us someone else's paperwork to sign. We waited for another agent. Then we had to resign everything we had already e-signed through the app. They brought us incorrect tax documents that took more than 30 minutes to update and print - blamed that on the mortgage company too. . After being there for nearly an hour and half, I went to find someone and told them that we needed to leave to go pick up our kid. The agent came in immediately, was rude, blamed it in other people. More importantly, the woman I asked for help wasn't wearing a mask despite the fact that she was in the office by the door with and open door. Not a good experience at all.
