c collins: Extremely long hold times. Unprofessional customer service when you finally get a "real" person on the phone. Not focused on solutions. Government employees do not seem to be incentivized to provide proper and efficient support.

Lay Lah: STACY from the water department is the worst. STACY is extremely disrespectful. Needs to find herself a new job where she doesn’t have to communicate with anybody. STACY was bothered over a general question I had & said “Oh my gosh” with an attitude under her breath during my call.STACY needs to be fired seriously.

Cheryl Reed: Gee, I'm trying to pay my water bill. The Grand Rapids water Pay It service online isn't working. The phone in auto payment is not working properly. After a 2 hour wait, I finally get a real person on the phone, only to find out that they can't take payments over the phone. They want me to come there to pay it, but I'm disabled. So they give me an 800 number to call and told me that they can take my payment. I call and the guy is just tech support for the GR Pay It website. He wants to trouble shoot the site. Ummmm.... NO . I just want someone to take my money! Why do they make it so hard?

Rene Gurd: Wanted to give a shout out to the water department for quickly helping us address a broken pipe at our home. They shut down the water promptly and followed up after a long weekend so that they could inspect and turn the water back on first thing. Carl Williams came to the home to turn the water back on and was very helpful, as was everyone else.

Miriam Zoodsma: Shawn in the billing department was super helpful and courteous. The City has a good employee there!

Karlie Zimmer: I can not begin to express my gratitude for Greg, but I will try. He came to my home to shut off and turn my water back on for some plumbing work to happen. After Mark in the office had a terrible attitude and condescending on multiple occasions, I was so relieved that Greg was not that way. Greg caught poor/negligent plumbing work and even spoke with the plumber who did not do his job for me. Being a single female homeowner, it brought tears to my eyes to know that there are still good people out there that won’t take advantage of you and will look out for you. My whole family has heard about Greg and what he did for me. He went above and boyond, and I can not thank him enough! The city should hire more employees like Greg!

Jane Podolak: Thank you to Jen and Mike who came out and worked diligently on our sewer line today. It was cold and intermittently snowy. The situation has improved and hopefully all will be resolved by Monday.

Peter Oppewall: Water department claims they don't have the personnel or technology to monitor water consumption rates so if you happen to own a property and there’s an issue with any water usage due to an unknown reason such as a leak in the system they don’t seem to care as long as you can pay the bill they apparently prefer to waste water resources rather than updating their monitoring system
