University Club-Grand Rapids: what do users think?
Thomas Chadwick: Spent Mothers Day with family. Food and service was outstanding
Don Passenger: Old school club. Great quite place for meetings or lunches hosted by a member.
Haram Gil: We had our wedding here on 03/04/23 and I cannot say anything but good things about the venue. Sure, there were hiccups here and there and communication probably could have been better during the preparation process, but the wedding day completely made up for all of it.All of our guests were pleased with the food, the staff were all very helpful and the pricing for the food, beverages, and amenities ended up with such amazing value. There are LOTS of places to take pictures including the area around the venue and the lobby, tons of space for guests to wander and hang around, and the view is just unbeatable (when the weather cooperates as well). We had a Korean wedding ceremony after our traditional American version and the staff arranged the space to exactly how we wanted it. The day just could not have gone any smoother and the cleanup process was just as easy. It's unfortunate that they will be moving their location, but I hope that the new area will be just as picturesque and bountiful as this one.
Ellen Dunkle: We had a wonderful family reunion here.Beautiful accommodations, food and service. Thank you to the Necker’s family for hosting.
Jesper Jensen: Very nice place.
Paul Cooper: Attended a continuing education class. Nice setting.
Eric Nelson: Meet there often. Great place.
Harm Hamstra: Great venue. Food was great.
Donald Smith: Parking is at the back of the building. You must enter off of Ionia Ave. Food and service were great at our private function.
Jake Otto: Stay away if planning a wedding. Very unorganized and little help amid current pandemic situations. Look elsewhere in GR.
Ralph Riddle: I attended a wedding reception here. This is the "toast of Grand Rapids", to see the city from atop the skyline is impressive. This facility provided top quality service, food and atmosphere.
John Finck: The grilled salmon was out of this world! Beautiful banquet room
thomas ralston: Club Family!
Edie Richardson: Lovely place for reception. Food was delicious and tasty. Wasn't keen on cupcakes served for dessert despite the variety. But staff was helpful and so friendly. A bit of trouble finding it...finding the building it was located in.
Jonathan Harrison: Beautiful view, helpful staff, great atmosphere. Perfect for any event, weddings, parties, conferences, etc.
Kellie Hetler: The University Club was such a fun place for a reception. The venue was nice and clean and the food was delicious!
Debra Stephens: This is a nice place to go.
Colt Galeria: Great wedding reception!!!!
Rachael Jarrell: Beautiful reception venue
Dan Natzel: Had wedding reception there.Very nice.
Matt Siel: Truly an exceptional experience. The food is exceptional with high rise dining views to match. Excellent choice for business meetings and centrally located downtown GR.

Steil Boys & Girls Club of Grand Rapids: what do users think?
Nubia Malacara: Do we still talk about Johnny stile? The little boy that passed away after her fell off the bleachers? Do you guys still have the movie you created in the early 2000s? The documentary based on his death and spirit; does he still make his presence aware in the building?

UFCW 951: what do users think?
Dan Arguelles: Worked at store #50 , got fired because I chase A shop lifter Out the door , the union didn’t do any thing for me not even a phone call , when I told the CO . To call the union they just smile and , they won’t do anything , I work there for 11 months ,have a perfect record
michael carbery: Have better luck else where then hoping for help
Brendan The Boss: loves taking money and advantage of hard working people
jeff coykendall: We need strong union not right Meijer managers make more money then us we work hard then managers I feel like I'm working for slave I'm sick of tired making less money than management they don't work hard we need go on strike and force Meijer fire lazy management
Nagol Sabud: UFCW 951 has helped me and saved me and other coworkers more times then I can count. And its the best way forward for higher wages, better pay, better benefits. Love the UFCW.
Dr. Carson: After my 3rd week at Meijer, they hunted me down every time they were at my store, and even though I told them no on multiple occasions, they refused to understand the meaning of "no" and kept bothering me. After I told them no, I will not join your union for the 6th time, they left me alone for a month, but now they are back and they're gonna bother me every weekend until I say yes, so I simply put my two weeks notice in, and next time I look for a job, I'm doing research to see if they actually have a decent union, otherwise I want no union at all.Not to mention, this is the union that claims they have 90% support among all Meijer employees, yet they have failed for years to increase the salaries to at least $15 an hour, possibly the worst union I've seen, I heavily suggest that if you work at Meijer, you tell your boss right away you are not interested in the union, and that they can leave you alone.
John Doe: Don't give money to a union that can't even get you a livable wage. Corporate unions are more corporate than they are Union. Don't give the union a dime unless they can get you 15 an hour.
Braden Pouch: awful experience with these people im a minor and do not need the union or money taken out every week so i canceled it and they sent a letter saying no more dues 3 weeks later still taking dues and not answering calls, awful experience and even worse customer service
Jay D: The reason my wife still has a job, went to bat hard for her. Best decision in the world to join!
Elizabeth Pennington: I feel empowered by UFCW 951. Having the peace of mind that the contract will be upheld by management is nice. I use the union every day that I work and the benefits I have access to outweigh the affordable dues. John is a smart and capable President. I'm proud to be backed by UFCW.
Juwan Clarke: i need my job back @meijer231 my name is Juwan Clarke
Coy Davis: My union
Mary Butler: Very hard to find things or get answers
Robby Laurain: Was pressured into joining, then tried to drop out, and it's like trying to leave a cult!!! They're happy to take my money though....
Alexis Bishop: Worked at Meijer for 4 years but got fired after calling in with a terrible case of influenza. Was told that Meijer had a point system for terminating employees based on call ins but they fired me after just the one call in. But I digress, this is NOT a Meijer review but a review of the Union itself. Well simple...they dont even lift one finger to help their members. They would hound me every night my first couple weeks working at Meijer and follow me around like vultures. They made so many promises and explained, in depth, the benefits of joining them...plot twist...there are no benefits. They just take their union due and throw you under the bus when you need their help.
Beth Verstraete: My son recently worked at a Meijer as a cart collector. I noticed after he left that there were newsletters coming from the meijer union in his name.He told me on his orientation day that the union greatly encourages him to sign up with promise of scholarships and prizes. AND also tells him not to tell his parents. He is underage. I am furious to say the least. It was pressure and enticing a kid with the chance of hitting a prize so they could deduct ten dollars ever pay period out of his check.
Andy Antes: They allow temps to come in and take all overtime from the working people. This union does nothing to help its members.
Cheryl Brightwell: I've been harrassed repeatedly.
Cooked Marbles: I work at Meijer, store 35, and if any issue ever comes up, the union tries to take care of it to the best of their abilities. I appreciate the stewards taking the effort to represent the union on top of their daily work tasks, as well as the union officer for my region, who despite being responsible for thousands of employees, always manages to help you out with your issue, get back within a day, and give a sincere and human approach, reassuring you that you and your issue is important, even if you don't entirely think so yourself. For the services provided, the respect given, and the security of your livelihood and reasonable working conditions, a small weekly due is nothing!
Drea lynne: My case was plain and simple it was a pure lack of training and lack of communication between the managers and employees. Meijer accused me of coupon fraud. I was trained by fellow co-workers who told me that we can give empowerment coupons to any customers who are unhappy and disastifed. Well that was untrue according to meijer. So I got fired for doing what i was trained to do and i wanted to take it to arbitration if necessary. My union rep from the begining gave me vibes that we were not going to win this case and I could feel she didnt belive me. I wanted to switch reps but I couldnt. Brad and is the only reason I feel they deserve a star because he knows his stuff and I feel he genuinely cared. Gina my representative didnt apply her hardest to defend me. After the meeting was over she goes well we tried the best we could. That made me feel like well it's over after this. I spoke to her after she got the decision from meijer. They denied my request to return to work and she said the union is dropping my grievance. She said that I withheld info about my case which is 100 percent false I told her that I had been giving these coupons out to any customer who was inconvenienced. Then she said that I had to know I was wrong. I was so shocked at those accusations. I dont feel I was wrong at all and I know my intentions were good. I have never heard of a union rep talking to their clients like that. If she felt that way she should of kept it to herself. That statement was not necessary. Basically she said I was wrong. Why represent me if you dont even belive in me? I feel her personal beliefs showed in her representation of me. She didnt give her all I feel. She could of did way more investigating. I feel I did more investigating than her! I dont complain often but this is my livelyhood on the line and it was blown. She did not fight hard like I thought unions did. I got unlucky getting her as my rep. Even if I didn't win at least I could say she have 100 percent of herself and she fought her hardest for me. I personally feel I could of represented myself better than her.
Chase Hawley: If you dont sign up for this union, their workers will hound you every single day until you change your mind. I work at Meijer, and their representatives would hunt me down regularly and talk to me for upwards of 30 minutes every day, distracting me from my job, and literally bullying me until I couldnt take it anymore, and finally signed up. I had told them "no" countless times before, but they dont take no for an answer. When they asked why I didnt want to sign up, I told them I dont have enough money to afford the union, to which they replied "I'm gonna need a better excuse than that," essentially mocking me and belittling my financial troubles. They will continue to harass you EVERY day until you pay them money, after which, they never stop by again to check up on you. Do NOT sign up for this union, they only want your money, and they are twisted people.
